"Nina Compton’s quick-service restaurant opened in mid-March at Caesars New Orleans, offering fried catfish sandwich, hot fried chicken sandwich, and shrimp and grits. It is part of a celebrity-driven mini food hall." - Clair Lorell

Google
These people try to charge you for everything and have the audacity to serve me these fries. Only a few were worth eating. The cook truly needed to do better. This is my first and last time eating here at this restaurant💯💯

Google
Cheryl at counter helped up first timers navigate the menu. We ordered a sample of almost everything on the menu. Bboudin balls were the crowd favorite followed by the chicken.. Thanks for great food and even better service….. we will be back!!!!

Google
The food was so good. It came out hot and the seasoning was a mix of all things good. Spicy but not too hot. Coming in from Houston and trying this restaurant was worth it.

My catfish salad was VERY hard and DRY. You could actually taste the burn. The batter was burnt. The boudin balls were over done. They were hard and dry. The absolute worst I have ever had. The service sucked badly. They close at 11pm, but turned the drink machine off so you could not get the deee refills . The night crew is horrible.

Google
The ribs are aweful!! They are hard!! Taste like they were cooked three days ago and warmed up in a microwave! Cornbread was tiny and COLD! Super Disappointed! And for $45 ??… just WOW!!! Last time I will ever eat here and will never recommend

Google
The shrimp and grits were nasty. Way too much tomato sauce! I was in line almost an hour waiting to order. The cashiers took way too long to take an order. The fried chicken wings were good though. The "Nina Colado" had no alcohol in it but it clearly states its supposed to have Rum. I won't be returning!

I had $75.00 to spend on my player's card, and Markesha the server took care of my order making sure I got as much variety of food items that you served. Great service with a smile. The manager also came out to greet me.

Dan Ford

Google
The young associate who took our order was pleasant and helpful. My Boudain Balls were tasty and spicy. The sandwich I was served was full of flavor and served piping hot. This is a great asset to the entry of Ceaser's Casino floor. Fill up on great food before you give away all your $$$. Youll thank me later.

Yelp
I had the wings and fries, and let me tell you, the wings were outstanding even without the sauces! But the Hot Fire sauce? Absolute --it elevated the flavors to a whole new level. The staff were incredibly engaging and went above and beyond to answer all my questions. Although they were out of spare ribs at the time, the manager handled it promptly and professionally. Whether you're in the casino or just in the area, Nina's Creole Cottage is definitely worth the stop. I'll be dreaming about those wings all the way back in Ohio!

Yelp
Well well well, my first time visiting and this was the first time of many to come.. the food was nothing but amazing.. the wings were soo crispy and tasteful with salad and some shrimp and grits.. the wing sauce is out of this world. The service was very chill and attentive. The area of the location was inside the casino of the Cesar palace so it was cool.

Andrea J.

Yelp
Ok - quick little stop for a snack while we were enjoying the casino. I read the reviews before we went and they did leave room for caution. We order the wings and they were good. Now....i did take a LONG time to get them. There was only one employee handling the kitchen and there were many orders waiting and many people in line waiting to order. I applaud this employee because he prepared every order (could see him their the open window kitchen) and didn't sacrifice on quality. The 4 stars are strictly because of him - but had he not been there - I'd given it a 3.

Russell W.

Yelp
Horrible. Multiple people had issues with getting their food correct. Girl at counter was extremely rude to one person when they asked to get their order fixed. Food was not good and expensive. Don't bother.

Robert M.

Yelp
The absolute worst service. At the Caesar's sports book and put in an order for a catfish sandwich. 45 min later i heard nothing back. Walked from the book to the counter and they never put the order in. Waited another thirty and carried it myself despite the exorbitant delivery and other fees. Also the catfish sandwich was very small and below average.

Armela L.

Yelp
I love their fried okra with their dipping sauce it was different and chicken wings were crispy and juicy, their frozen drink was pretty strong can't complain about that, the service was good also.

Patrice P.

Yelp
The shrimp and grits tasted disgusting. The Caribbean salad was equally disgusting. The fried chicken was terrible.

Billie Jo M.

Yelp
The food was amazing (well the wings and okra anyways)! The prices were fair and the portion of okra was huge. It took a while for us to get our food which would be my only complaint. The atmosphere is loud and busy which is to be expected in a casino food court.

Victoria E.

Yelp
Quick bite while in casino. Tried the wings with mango sauce. They were tasty but expensive for what you get. They only got a 3 as they were out of 2 of the items we wanted to order. It was early in the evening and makes no sense to be out of red beans and rice at 5:30pm. Food court eating area so ambiance is zero.

Gifted B.

Yelp
I was craving a munchie, and Nina's has Fried Okra! I was so happy for this delicious treat inside Ceasars casino. The lemonade was refreshing on a humid day. It was oo much to eat for one, I actually took some back home with me on the airplane. Wish we had Nina's here!!!

Yelp
This is a tale of two meals. Girls trip to NO and our first stay at Harrah's New Orleans (soon to be changed to Caesar's when we were there). I saw Nina Compton had a walk up restaurant here! Loved her on Top Chef so I was definitely going to try it! 1st day, I ordered the Wings and okra - fantastic! Crispy, juicy, wings with great flavor and the okra was hot and crispy as well! I saw a little printed sign on the register that they would have red beans and rice BUT it wouldn't be ready until after 4, so note to self - go back! Well I did, the next night, after 8 pm, for the red beans and rice. What a completely different experience! The red beans - which had great flavor - was under room temperature, almost cold and the rice - cold - like, refrigerator cold, as it was sitting in the fridge and they took a scoop and took it straight out of the cold container. So disappointing - and it wasn't cheap! I threw it out because our room was in a separate building and I was tired. Nina needs to check in with the evening staff!

Yelp
Visited the restaurant tonight, waited 45 minutes for my order. While waiting staff was joking, laughing mean while customers waited 45 minutes to an hour. After receiving meal. My cat fish portion was the size of 50 cent piece. Cost / value seemed out of balance since you featuring gourmet style quick service food. Additionally, you were putting way too many orders to the kitchen with only two cooks filling orders. The wait times was noticeable. No one thought to help the kitchen crew fill those orders. Operations failed your guests tonight. I want visit again.

Tracy P.

Yelp
This is a hard call for me, i don't normally do reviews. I had the catfish sandwich and you can't imagine a thinner piece of fish. The was was OK at best but the catfish filet "if you want to call it that" was a thin as a piece of cheese. I called myself supporting small business..... bad call.

Kesha H.

Yelp
The chicken wings were very tasty. We went after seeing Chef Nina at a session during Essence. The menu was simple, but just enough to grab a bite while spinning a few wheels. The wings were so hot and fresh we did not waste any time devouring them.

Lynn W.

Yelp
Love the food and cocktails here. Get in while you can and try every dessert. Love the fried chicken sandwich and all of her cocktails are a hit.

Dan C.

Yelp
I wasn't expecting to be blown away, and I wasn't disappointed. It was raining, staying across the street, took the easy way out and went in. Despite Chef Nina's rep, it's a small joint in a casino so I didn't expect a five star experience. But still - the Caribbean salad was a head of browning iceberg with minimal toppings. No shrimp so I got chicken. Chicken was pretty good but overcooked. Don't waste your time with that. Better salads in a home ec class. Got fries too (great combo fries + salad). Potential there with the fries, but dudes, change the oil once in a while. They should close this one and open a Chipotle in its place. That's a mediocrity I understand that doesn't cost $30. Forget this place.

Yelp
Delicious plantains and fried chicken with and cheese grits. The customer service was great.

Jacqueline L.

Yelp
Happy to have stopped by today for lunch. I ordered the Chicken & Plantain Waffle. What a wonderful twist and the flavors were spot on. Will be back for sure.

Yelp
Went to this place on Saturday 4/6/24 and ordered Boudin Balls which were raw! I showed the cashier and was told that's how they are cooked in the city. My sister couldn't take it as we know when PORK IS RAW ITS PINK! The head chef ( which was a lady with corn rolls into a ponytail) prepared my order. The assistant chef spoke with my sister and apologized and showed us what a fully cooked Boudin ball looked like and it was brown! We were also told no refunds but they would replace with something else so we got okra which was good! Hope we don't get sick from eating raw PORK!

Shonteria H.

Yelp
During a first visit to New Orleans, my sisters and I decided to stop here and get some good food and enjoy the casino! We were very disappointed that I ordered Boudin Balls and the inside was not cooked! I asked and showed the cashier and was advised that's how it's done in the city! the meat was clearly still pink and raw and outside bread cooked only. The head chef who clearly looked under stress ( she had corn roll braids into a ponytail) cooked them and should not be a head chef! Pork is included in this dish and should be cooked ALL THE WAY! I'm hoping we don't get sick! my sister couldn't take it and went back to speak with the assistant che. This young man was very nice and apologize. We did like the fried okra. Also, we were told no refunds allowed. This happened Saturday 4/6/24.

Yelp
The fried wings was HORRIBLE, 3 wings for $13.99 that had absolutely no flavor at all and the chicken wasn't fully cooked inside, I got sick and we only ate 1 half of the wing. The chopped salad was ok but the shrimp wasn't fully cooked so we didn't even finish it, The only thing that was decent was the sweet potato fries and the drinks was ok.. $69 worth of nothing so disappointed. And the cashier she was so dry

Carolyn P.

Yelp
I order the fried catch fish sandwich with the coleslaw in it. It was sooo goood!! The sweet potato were also delicious! :)

Stef V.

Yelp
Service was meh. Ordered a chicken over salad and side of fries. Fries were hot. The chicken? Ridiculously teeny and the breading (flavor) was all falling off. Not sure what the deal here is, but breading falling off of chicken is an amateur error. Not good at all. Would not recommend.

Yelp
At first approach, the young African American worker on Sunday night was ok. Sadly he either did not listen or didn't care or has a hearing problem. I corrected him 3 times on my order and then asked him if he understood it. Look we aren't talking about McDonald's. We are talking about a way overpriced fast food place. 2 sandwiches and a drink are 50.00. As a local, I rate the food at about a 12.00 level. Not 50. So, with that said, the food came out wrong. Then he was upset that I had to correct him. What should have happened was, I'm sorry, sir, that we hot it wrong. Let me quick fire you another sandwich as you originally ordered it. What I got instead was an attitude, an eye roll, and he slammed the food on the back counter and returned, taking others' orders, and I was told to wait. Sadly, at that point, I lost my cool, no excuse for that, but his actions caused a reaction. As a local, this was my third visit. The wings are horrible. Tough and tasted like rubber. Way over priced for three wings. The chicken sandwich is about on level with Popeyes, but 3 times the price. This place will not make it. There's no staff and food isn't a good value. Locals need a 30% discount and seven stars do as well. That might be the only chance. The drunks will pay these prices, but they will never earn repeat business. We will never go back, ever. If he worked for me, I'd sit him down and teach him respect. Not laughing at customers he has wronged.

Yelp
The food in harrahs casino is awful. The chicken sandwich is terrible The okra had sugar or something that was sweet on it and the chicken wings were under cooked. Just terrible

Yelp
On Sunday October 29th at 10pm a gentleman wearing a red shirt and blue jeans with glasses was very rude and disrespectful. This was first time here in New Orleans, was excited to try the food here but was quickly let down by the customer service by the guy who took our order. He had no manners and was very short and rude to say the least. My first thought was if you don't like your job find another one, also he is not a people person. while waiting for our food he handed several people their orders and every time the customer said thank you all he did was hand them the bag and turn away with no reply. I seen a prior post about this young man's attitude and lack of manners. I am sure there are others who would love a job and would be nicer and more pleasant. He definitely acted like we were bothering him to do his job. When I ask for some extra condiments his replay was oh hell no!!! I also ask him for his name and he looked laughed and walked away, his name tag are facing the wrong way so no one can see them.
