I had Nine Pies Pizzeria bookmarked based on other Yelp Elites posts. I finally had the opportunity to check it out for an early lunch while in Seattle's Industrial District/SoDo neighborhood (11/9/22).
After a brief GPS snafu with three u-turns, I finally turned into 1st Ave S and Dakota into a interesting complex I've never ventured into. Note: the shared parking lot is pretty tight, so exercise caution.
NIne Pies Pizzeria shares the complex with these other businesses: Rotie Cellars, Patterson Cellars, Nine Hats, Structure Cellars, Old World Tasting Room, Love Beats Pagne, San Juan Seltzery Taproom Kitchen & Bar, Hot Cakes Molten Chocolate Cakery, and Latta Wines. Quite the destination if you plan to do wine tasting and also enjoy pizza and dessert.
Thin crust style pizza are available as whole pies or large slices, as well as, salads, beer/wine, and other beverages. There were whole pies on a three shelf display case. I greatly appreciated the gentleman behind the counter describing each pie's ingredients.
I opted for two premium slices ($5.75 each) and just ice water. Slices were heated up (whether takeout or for onsite dining), I paid up, started a punch card for slice purchases, and sat myself at a sunny two top. Shortly thereafter my order was brought directly to my table.
There's indoor seating available, plus outdoor picnic tables. I observed there were also brisk pre-orders and takeout, but with their efficient system, the line moves pretty fast.
Pretty tasty and reminiscent of another local chain, Pagliacci's. Nice find in between Georgetown and jumping on the ramp to West Seattle.
