Star Bartender Jeffrey Morgenthaler Now Has a Line of Canned Cocktails | Eater Portland

"Portlanders can drink Morgenthaler’s cocktails at home thanks to a partnership with Eugene-based brewery Ninkasi, which is releasing a line of canned cocktails available at liquor stores throughout Oregon. The series includes a gin rickey with mint, a mezcal paloma infused with jalapeño, and a take on his popular Bourbon Renewal — a bourbon cocktail with crème de cassis and lemon — and all of the cocktails are 9 percent ABV or less. Morgenthaler is still developing a tiki-style rum punch and a ginger-honey vodka collins under the same label, and four-packs of the Ninkasi canned cocktails are on shelves now." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

Absolutely epic! Cannot remember the female bartenders name 😞 But she was phenomenal!! Tons of incredible beer here, awesome seating, and plenty of food trucks around! Highlight of my day! 😁

Nice beer but on a Saturday early evening it was dead. Absolutely no atmosphere. No food other than a couple of trucks across the road. Give it a miss and go to the pub next door. Live music and full of life. Easy to see what establishment is better managed.

Nice covered patio, great beer, really nice people. Water bowls for our dogs. Ordered food from the Thai food cart across the street.

The patio is big and quite nice, plus the beer is cheap and cold! What more could you want? Maybe friendly staff? Well, they have that too! Jake was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend Ninkasi to someone stopping by Eugene especially when the weather is nice!

Dog friendly patio, have to enter in the back of the patio with the dog and the person checking in with the host has to go to the front inside of the large building. Varied, interesting menu. We got the cream ale, it was so good we got 2. The mussels in cream sauce was large and satisfying. The side salad for an extra charge of 2.00 turned out to be a wedge with several veggies that was unexpected and awesome. The fries are the hand cut style moist and crisp at the same time and perfectly salted. The half dozen oysters and the broiled oysters were nice and fresh. Also got the shrimp salad sandwich which was very fresh. The atmosphere outside was so park like and relaxing on the patio. Picnic tables and umbrellas in a circle so didn't feel like others were crowding you. Inside had lots of tables and an industrial feel. Very nice as well. They have their own parking lot and several buildings around them are also part of the brewery. You order and pay on the toast app making it quick and easy. This place is huge. Highly recommend.

Pretty cool brewery with a great patio. They are heavy on the IPAs but have some other options as well.

Bf and I came here on a whim - I was pleasantly surprised by the building. It was open and airy and felt ‘elevated’. It was well decorated - there was a very functional layout to the space. It was clear that this was the common space for the office building before they opened it up -but very glad they did. It’s a great space for big groups. And can be great for day dates too! We had flights and food and everything was great! We had great servers who were friendly and super helpful with the menu. They were easy to talk to which is always nice when you’re sitting at the bar. Definitely would come back here!

Food was delicious. Not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for in flavors and quality. The breading in my fish sammich was perfect and crisp. The mussels were tasty and the baguette was fresh. I really liked the online ordering and paying. The waitstaff did a good job and were prompt. The cream soda and non alcoholic drinks were nice, with a great selection. My only major gripe, which was more of being unaware and not a blatant error, was the person cleaning tables was spraying too far out from their target so we got doused with cleaning solution several times being in the downwind and I breathed it in so all I could smell was that for quite a while. Maybe spray the rag or closer to the table so nearby folk don't get hit with it or get it in their food. I was happy to have outside seating so I could bring our pup. We're always well prepared, but was so nice they offered to get us a doggy water dish. They have lots of outside seating. I was super happy with the menu selection as well. Definitely will go back and will recommend to friends.

Yelp
Awesome location, Ninkasi brewing is within walking distance of two other breweries in the area which is always a plus for me when I'm visiting a new town. Great outdoor seating and indoor bar area. The beer is solid considering they have a smaller menu of their own beer, but they make up for it with a guest list and a limited amount of their own beers, plus for the none beer drinking that might be in your group they have Wine & Hard Lemonade. They don't have food here but there were some nearby food trucks/stands on this block. The cherry on top here was the service. We came here after running the Eugene Mararhon & the server let us know they have drink specials for the race participants and gave us a breakdown of their beer menu to help with our selection.

Yelp
Party of 3 on a road trip. Stopped in on 5/27/2025. The young lady working (Melissa) was amazing. She explained so much, was patient with us and kept us well served and entertained as well. I can't express how nice with was. The venue is clean. The beers we had were all good. Definitely stop by here.

Yelp
A staple in the craft beer world, visiting the Ninkasi Brewing taproom was a highlight of the trip. Their signature blue/green color is on all their buildings in the neighborhood, which are plentiful. There are brewery facilities and storage facilities all over, the streets are all free parking. The taproom is located off to the side of the main buildings and is worth a visit. On arrival, it was a cold and wet day so we opted to sit inside. They have a much larger area for outdoor seating in the warmer months. There's a selection of merchandise and to-go beer. There was only one bartender, but she was super nice and friendly despite a constant stream of customers. It seemed like most of the people were lifelong fans and regular customers. We all had flights, plus a few extra selections. I also learned Ninkasi now owns Ecliptic Brewing so a bunch of their beers are no made here and were also on tap. They had mostly their flagship IPAs but also an amazing selection of small batch beers which were less prevalent styles. Prices are reasonable. If you're a beer fan, this one is a must-stop!

Yelp
This is open. The only Ninkasi Brewing Taproom currently open. Excellent service. Great overstock sales. Delicious brews. Food trucks and restaurants around the area but no food at this location. Great deck area. Free stickers. Trivia on Friday nights.
