The Mac and cheese bites were really good. Very good size. Nice and crispy on the outside and really cheesy on the inside. My lemonade drink was also super refreshing and the staff was really welcoming and friendly. My server Stephanie was great and the manager Kasper checked on us and made sure we were enjoying the food and the atmosphere. Will be back next week again

I had an amazing experience at Nino's AQ. From the outside eating area to the nice decor of the inside, I could already tell that I was in for a good time. I was greeted by Kasper, the manager who was very polite and formal. I got there quite early as dinner just seemed to have started. I noticed at this time that one of the staff members who I believe was called Marianna was setting up. She played some really good music, which really helped set a good vibe for my experience. Kasper informed me of their weekend special, which consisted of two Oyster's [East and West Coast]. I tried both, and they were both very delicious. The west coast had amazing flavor despite having a slimy texture. The East Coast was delicious as well but did not compare to West Coast. After trying these oysters, I ordered the Meatballs and the Charred Octopus. Since I sat at the bar, I was tended to by Muhammad the Bartender. Muhammad was very kind and able to answer my questions regarding the bread and olive oil spread served when you dine here. I was recommended by him a drink called "Frozen Aperol Spritz," which was a delicious drink topped off with a nice garnish. My food arrived promptly and I was very satisfied with the quality and quantity of the food. The meatballs were tender and delicious. The sauce was very good and not too overpowering on the delicious flavor of the meatballs. The meatballs came topped off with a delicious cheese, which I do not know the name of. However, this cheese complimented the fish very well. The octopus 🐙 was delicious. I noticed a light sauce below the octopus, which tasted amazing. The octopus was cooked to perfection and had a delicious texture and was easy to eat. Still hungry, I asked Kasper for a recommendation for a pizza since there were so many different combinations. He recommended the "Pepperoni Hot Honey Pizza." which he informed me sells very well here at Nino's. What an amazing choice because it was really hard for me to choose. I ate almost the entire pie before asking for a to-go box for my pizza. Not wanting to end there, I decided on a dessert, which was the "Lemon Ricotta Cake." That cake was a banger. The perfect ending to my time here at Nino's. I sit here now thinking of the next time that I will be going to Nino's, which isn't that far off in the future. I am very thankful for the kind staff at Nino's for everything that went on during my experience. Thank you. ❤️

Google
Nice neighborhood restaurant that gave me a little touch of Italy. Food was delicious. Was skeptical about the spicy watermelon marg but it was amazing! Our waitress was so sweet and accommodating. Only annoying thing was our seats was by the plates/cutlery station. Couldn't really have a conversation without all the banging. Also must comment about how nice the decor was. Plates and even the bathroom were so cute. Will return. Even all the way from the Bronx.

We had an amazing experience in this place! I wanted something from the dinner menu when it was lunch, and after telling me they can’t make it - the waitress spoke to the manager and he told the kitchen to make this dish anyway. It was a really pleasant surprise and I appreciated it a lot. The food was fantastic, the vibe overall was great and the staff was pleasant. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Google
This place is incredible! The food here is very good, grilled octopus is a must try and fried calamari was fantastic. Drinks were also pretty good, spicy watermelon margarita was refreshing and good. Outdoor seating was very nice and spacious. You won't feel too cramped and you are distant from other tables. Highly recommend this restaurant!!

Google
So glad I discovered this beautiful and authentic restaurant. The pasta is made in house and is perfection. They also have delicious cocktails that I snapped some shots for you. At the time of writing this review the place is only 3 months old and it was packed on a Sunday night. The owner Mike was around and he made great recommendations. We will be back again.

Google
It was my first time actually dining here and the food was surprisingly good! I had gnocchi, really liked the taste. House special pizza with prosciutto was delicious, and grilled octopus was great too. Will try out different items on the menu next time. Overall good experience :)

We came here to celebrate my brother-in-law’s birthday the day of. We decided to come for brunch. The food was really good. They were really helpful and gave their best “happy birthday” sing along in a cup of strawberry gelato. There’s a cool bar in the middle too so I’d imagine they do happy hour too. Really nice spot.

Yelp
I love coming here, the food never disappoints. Almost every dish that I've had has been delicious. I've tried some of their pizzas, calamari, charred octopus, spaghetti and the veal for 2. Those are just some of the dishes I've tried before and enjoyed each one. Most recently I got the charred octopus and the lasagna. My bf got the mushroom gnocchi. The charred octopus was tender and the lasagna was yum . Unfortunately I couldn't finish it but it was satisfying. As far as the ambiance and service I would also give it 5 stars. The workers are very attentive and accommodating. The restaurant is beautiful and they have plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Definitely one of my favorite Italian restaurants.

Yelp
I went here recently with some friends and was pleasantly surprised with how great both the food and cocktails were. The place has pretty hanging lights, beautiful bright blue velvety bar seats, and probably one of my favorite shades of a teal on the walls. Aesthetically beautiful and elegant and a perfect spot for a date or low-key hangs with friends and I saw a number of families enjoying dinner in the area. The menu ranges from wood fired Neapolitan style pizzas to delicious appetizers and gorgeous pastas. Favorites drink wise that I tried: The spicy espresso martini. Definitely has a kick and different from your basic espresso martini with being made with tequila. The spicy watermelon margarita was also tasty. Very subtle spice kick to it. They have a happy hour of $12 cocktails, $7 wines, and $6 beers until 7pm. Appetizers: The whipped ricotta crostini was to die for. It's very basic but a very refreshing yet decadent bite. I also enjoyed the truffled mac and cheese bites (because DUH), and the fried burrata for two. Pizzas are nothing to sleep on with the Truffled prosciutto and the Hells Gate Boy. I'm not usually one for eating all of my crust but if it's good enough, I'll nosh on my crust and I ate them all. Spicy rigatoni vodka I really enjoyed out of the pastas. The gnocchi with black truffle cream was okay. Normally I think this kind of dish would grab my heart strings but it was missing something. Maybe a hit of seasoning. But elsewise everything was phenomenal. My only regret is not trying their tiramisu and biscotti espresso martini but that just means I definitely have to make a point to come back.

Yelp
Amazing! The food, the service, the staff, all AHHHMAZING!!! The manager is so cool, so helpful, detail oriented. From answering all my questions about food allergens to helping me with parking! He goes above and beyond. I have celiac disease and I was looking for a safe place to eat, found all that and more at Ninos Aq. We had a a party of 7, ordered so many things and asked so many questions. Our waitress didn't make us feel uncomfortable at all. She was great! My gluten free items were good, but I did hear that all the gluten filled deliciousness my family consumed was five star Michelin worthy tasty! The restaurant is also a VIBE. I love the photos on the wall, the outside of the restaurant is cute too! You need to visit this restaurant if you're in town!!!!

Dipali G.

Yelp
I have not explored the food scene on Ditmars and ninos AQ really makes me feel like I should. An excellent place for dinner and drinks with friends or a date! Food: the menu is a combination of pasta and pizzas and it was difficult choosing what to go order! We started off with the ricotta crostini's which is a must if you come here! Firstly it looks like a beautiful pastry when ur comes but it is also delicious and the ricotta tastes incredible! For my main i ordered the spicy vodka rigatoni! There was a bit of a kick to this which I enjoyed! My favorite part was the ricotta mixed with the vodka sauce - absolutely delicious.. Service: great service! They were fast and attentive but did not rush us Price: reasonably priced given the quantity and quality of food! Without drinks it's about $30 pp Ambience: the restaurant is really cute! They have windows up front which allows a lot of light to come on! I liked the bar they had in the center and the decor with all the lighting! Very cute and upscale

Aurora C.

Yelp
They have a lot of outdoor seating which is great for summer nights. The staff is super friendly, from the hostess, waitress/waiter to even the busboys. The appetizers were amazing, my favorite was the Truffled Mac & Cheese bites. The lemon dijon dip was the best I've ever had and paired with the Mac, it was perfect. If you get the chicken parm, be prepared for a lot of chicken. They serve two large slabs. Next time I would share with another person and just get and extra side of pasta.

Andrew K.

Yelp
Beautiful decor and a modern take on Italian food definitely makes Ninos Aq one of the better brunch destinations in Astoria. It might not be the prettiest plate you've ever seen but the Broken Meatball Sandwich is arguably the most delicious bite on their brunch menu! Beautifully seasoned meatballs served atop their crispy sourdough bread topped with basil and ricotta that'll have your mouth watering and calling for more. Their steak and eggs are solid but if you're not a coffee lover, this isn't the steak for you as its crusted with coffee grinds. Drinks wise, their spicy watermelon marg is a winner for sure. Great balance, refreshing and just enough spice to go with the sweetness of the watermelon.

Jennifer O.

Yelp
I absolutely loved Nino's AQ, the vibes were great, the waiter & manager were so friendly. But let's talk about this food. O, it was amazing. I had the Pappardelle Bolognese & it was so delicious. The spicy rigatoni vodka was good. The calamari was one of the best I've had in a long time. And the Pepperoni with homemade hot honey pizza was scrumptious. I would highly recommend & I will certainly be back.

Beth M.

Yelp
This is a great restaurant if you want to have brunch on a budget. You can get an affordable meal with drinks here the food is pretty good. However, if you want to request no eggs with your steak and eggs, that's probably not gonna happen depending on who your server is.

Diana D.

Yelp
Came here with a friend for brunch right at opening on a Saturday. Everything was exellent from the service to the food plus 2 iced lattes. The hit for me was their French toast, probably the best I've ever had.

N A.

Yelp
What delicious food! Beautiful, clean and great music Ninos had. Our waiter was the best! Extremely nice staff.

Cree P.

Yelp
This place has both delicious food and super friendly staff. I came here for dinner, and I was blown away with the innovative and quality dishes that they offer here. Definitely recommend a coffee, rub steak and the grilled octopus, but honestly you can't go wrong with whatever you order here. The ambience of this restaurant is awesome and nice, it's beautifully decorated in spacious enough where you don't feel like you're sitting on top of the people next to you. This is a nice gem that I definitely recommend stopping by if you're ever in the area.

Chris A.

Yelp
Ninos AQ is a fine local community its establishment located right in the heart of what is now deemed Brunch Boulevard on Ditmars in Astoria. The drink and food menu seems carefully curated for a touch of Italian fusion and old school offerings. I started with the crispy calamari and it was fried to perfection - not overdone and light. I continued with the burrata salad which consisted of fig jam, basil, vincotto, olive oil, sea salt , sumac and decadent focaccia - JUST BRILLIANT! Main course was the veal parmigiana for two - absolutely delicious and such a hefty portion. The presentation was also incredible. Safe to say I look forward to venturing here again - try to get your reservation ahead of time - so worth it!

Roxanne G.

Yelp
I think this is one of the top places to grab a bite or drink in Astoria. I've never had a bad meal here. My personal favorite is the spicy rigatoni in vodka sauce. It's a Carbone dupe and they do a really good job! The cacio e Pepe is also good, but I definitely prefer the Spicy Rig! The pepperoni pizza with hot honey is the perfect combination of savory and sweet. The Margherita pizza is also a fan favorite for friends that don't like spice. The chicken parm is big enough for 2 to share and I usually swap out the red sauce for vodka sauce - highly recommend trying it with the vodka sauce. I've also tried the meatballs, calamari and the grilled octopus. I personally like the grilled octopus more, but the calamari comes with an awesome aioli sauce. For my salad lovers, the burrata salad is delicious. The figs in the salad are such a nice touch. My favorite cocktail here is the spicy watermelon margarita, but you can never go wrong with a glass of wine. All the waiters are very knowledgeable with their wine list. The inside is swanky and modern inside with an upbeat vibe. They also have outdoor seating which is perfect for a nice day. Parking can be a bit rough, so wear comfortable shoes!

Yelp
Went here for my birthday dinner. Hands down THE BEST dining experience in NYC. The food: we got polenta fries with a BEAUTIFUL dipping sauce, watermelon salad (not the star of the show but an honorable mention), THE FRIED BURRATA (to die for, has a perfect spice), the carbonara/spicy rigatoni was handmade pasta cooked with such care I can tell. The service: Kasper (the host) and my waiter were thoughtful and just fun to be around. Truly one of the best vibes, they just made it feel so welcoming and warm Ambiance: we sat right by the window, I am hard of hearing and usually struggle to hear in restaurants but i could actually enjoy conversation here. I will be coming back here OFTEN and recommending this place to whoever will listen. Seriously, GO HERE! And order a variety of things bc everything was consistently EXCELLENT. (Apps, mains, ETC.) Ninos gets a 20/10 in my book.

June U.

Yelp
This has to be one of my favorite places for drinks and dinner. I enjoyed a rainy Friday night at the bar. Kasper recommended the most delicious cocktails and was pleasant to talk to. The entire staff worked great as a team. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food, ambiance and the team were all a delight! Thank you!

Noa I.

Yelp
This was hands down the worst meal I've ever had in NYC. The cocktails were undrinkable (passion fruit martini) and I did not even finish mine, as it was only sour and had no other taste profiles. My boyfriend ordered the Jungle Bird and it tasted like a fishbowl aka only alcohol. The bolognese was too salty but not the worst. But the squid in the fruiti di mara was clearly frozen, as it was lukewarm compared to a steaming plate of hot pasta. The steak was decent but half the plate was just potatoes. The service was mediocre and when our server took away our empty plate, even they seemed surprised that we finished the whole thing. It's no wonder it was so empty on a Saturday night. I will never be coming back.

William C.

Yelp
I was just there with a party of 14 celebrating a birthday. We had a windowful experience. Casper, the GM, and his staff were so friendly and professional. They made our experience very enjoyable. The food, service and bar were on point! From appetizers to entrees, it was all delicious. My guests are still raving about the experience. Thank you, Casper, for making the birthday special for my daughter. Nino's is the perfect spot for dinner brunch or just cocktails with friends. Highly recommended!!

Randi M.

Yelp
Food was incredible. Burrata was fresh.... Calamari was the best!!! Service was incredible!! Loved the ambience! A+++

Lissette S.

Yelp
Wow I loved this place. The ambience was super cute and welcoming. Our waitress was attentive and always available for questions. The food was 10/10. The whipped ricotta crostini was amazing, the bread was perfectly crunchy and flavorful. The fried burrata was also really good, the sauce was delicious. For our mains, we got the chicken parm (a classic) and the cacio e pepe gnocchi (incredible but just a little bit salty). Overall, I really loved this place and will definitely be coming back. Hopefully they add Riesling to their wine list by the time I'm back!

Jeremy W.

Yelp
Mike the owner is amazing. The food here is awesome and the service is great. We sat at the bar and Mike was so attentive to our every need. The place has a fresh look and very clean. I highly recommend checking this place out! Love the rustic italian atmosphere. Very authentic cuisine as well as decor. The veal chop is probably my top dish. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great restaurant nearby. Great local Italian joint. Merges traditional Italian tastes and American flavors. Must try if you're close bye. My absolute favorite Spot. One of the best restaurants period-on ditmars. The food and service is always outstanding. I've eaten at Nino's plenty of times & have never been disappointed. The standard of quality here is exceptional. Amazing restaurant w fabulous food and outstanding staff. Nice atmosphere. Pleasant staff. Good food.

Rich R.

Yelp
Had a Great Meal on Memorial Day. Spicy Rigatoni and Chicken Cutlet was phenomenal as was the Branzino and Polenta. Waitress Rachel was very attentive and the entire staff were very hospitable. Will definitely return.

Samantha W.

Yelp
Had dinner with my husband at Ninos. Great spot in a great area! Food was delicious. The whipped ricotta was so delicious - creamy and garlicky! The artisanal salad was also great & good size. We split both appetizers before having our main courses. I had the black squid ink lobster ravioli which came with about 6 ravioli. Not a huge portion, but it was enough for me after the apps. My husband had the carbonara and he loved it! It was creamy and tasty. Our server was a bit all over the place and not super attentive - but the food and ambiance of the restaurant made up for it! We'll definitely go back again.

Melanie M.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour on Sunday and got two dozen $1 oysters and some drinks. The outdoor setup/ambiance will make you feel like you are on vacation. The staff is friendly but the service was slooooooow for no real reason, since they didn't seem very busy. We started with a dozen oysters and two Aperol Spritzes. While we waited for our drinks and oysters we were given water and continued to wait. Eventually, the oysters came out but our drinks were no where in site. We finished our waters and tried to wave down one of the many staff but they were all aloof to our presence. Eventually, a man came over who, unbeknown to us he was the owner. We asked about our drinks and more water, his presence sped up the service. We enjoyed another dozen oysters and 2 more drinks. Worth coming here, but be prepared to be invisible to the staff.

Amber H.

Yelp
Came in with a group of 5 sat outside, they have the cutest outdoor set up. I ordered the truffle prosciutto pizza. I loved it, i split it with my friend big enough to to split. Perfectly cooked. My boyfriend got a chicken parm with pasta the chicken was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Mouth watering is the word. My friend got pepperoni pizza and chicken parm as well. The waiter was also very nice and funny. We didn't feel rushed to leave which was nice. I feel like trendy restaurants tent to rush you to flip the table. Worth the money? Yes. Would i come back? Yes i can't wait to come back

Omar M.

Yelp
Authentic Italian service with its contemporary quirks. As we navigated throughout the menu we ate through the classics. They kept it truly authentic. The food amazing, don't miss there gnocchi black truffle cream. Ginos great service and knowledgeable. However it did not seem that the owner or management cared or seemed interested in participating in their own restaurant. 5 stars because of Gino PERIOD

Christopher R.

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday night for dinner. Sat inside. Had a great waitress who recommended their chicken parmigiana with their vodka sauce. It was yummy. My only complaints are the starter bread they gave was stale and cold, the olive oil served with it was extremely salty and when the chicken parmigiana came out, the chicken wasn't hot - it was luke warm. Overall, good experience but nothing outstanding.

Craig X.

Yelp
This outstanding restaurant never fails to impress. We've had multiple dishes and every meal is both large and delicious. Tonight we had the charcuterie board, which had excellent presentation and a diverse selection of cheeses and meats, including a mini burrata. The actual fried burrata appetizer is unique to Ninos AQ and a definite must have. Also recommend the pasta with seafood, and pepperoni pizza. The service under Kasper is exquisite, always attentive and willing/able to make slight adjustments to each of their meals. You can't go wrong with Ninos AQ.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Wow wow wow. My new favorite brunch spot in Astoria. My friend recommended that we check this out this past weekend and it was the best decision ever. Absolutely adorable interior...I want to take the turquoise bar stools Home with me! A wide array of brunch cocktails. The bottomless Aperol spritz is a great deal and our server was prompt and generous with refills i ended up getting the everything bagel pizza with smoked salmon. Holy cow, I've never had anything like to before. The seasoning is perfection and smoked salmon was dolloped on every slice. I'm so happy I have leftovers. I cannot wait to return here to try out some more of their brunch options...the cacio e Pepe pizza and bread pudding French toast are calling my name.

Jacob M.

Yelp
I don't like rating low stars and giving a negative affect to restaurant scores so i'm giving this 3 stars. But the chef that makes the Gnochi needs a lot of work. It was heavy and gummy and the caccio e pepe had no black pepper flavor, and the gnochi was swimming in it like a bowl of soup. This did not resemble caccio e pepe at all. I've made caccio e pepe, i've had it all over NY, I've had it in Italy....please revisit the recipe it is not even close to what it's supposed to be

Mike S.

Yelp
I don't go out for Italian too often because I am lucky to know excellent home cooks that feed me real deal Italian home cooking, and my working class roots make classic red sauce pizzerias/restaurants take care of the crave. Ninos AQ piqued my interest with the unique ingredients described on the menu and quirky choices like "Mexican Street Corn" that you wouldn't find in everyday Italian places. Perhaps its better to describe this as New American by way of Italy. Service was good and our dishes came out family style in the order we requested. Here's my take on the food: Crispy Burrata for 2: 1st thought was $18 for a large cheese ball, this better be something special. It wasn't. Disappointing since the inside was more like thick ricotta encased in mozzarella. I've had this similar dish elsewhere where the creamy burrata mixes with the sauce making you want to lick the bowl clean - not here unfortunately. Truffled Prosciutto Pizza: Had a nice "truffle" smell when it came out, but I didn't get any flavor. I also thought the cooked prosciutto pieces were too large making for salty bites. Creamy ricotta, decent dough saved by the pizza rule even when its bad it's still pretty good. Gnocchi Cacio E Pepe: Interesting idea, but terrible execution. Easily the worst thing I ate here - gummy gnocchi; watery stringy sauce; no cheese or pepper flavor. Bland tasting like mushy gruel. Pass on this. ($21 for this! Got 12 Gnocchi. $1.75 per gnocchi hahaha) Nicky Santoro's Veal Parm for 2: Certainly an impressive looking bone in veal chop platter (Hello Instagram!). If they did a chicken parm with the same prep you probably couldn't tell the difference - seems like a waste of a veal chop (Check out Positano in Williston Park on LI that simply grills their quality chops to know the difference). The acid of the tomato and maybe a hit of lemon was way high for me. Orange Glazed Short Ribs: Best dish of the night, but inconsistently cooked. The first pieces I tried were fall apart tender and good flavor, but the next piece I had was a bit over cooked and dry. I liked the pattypan squash and celery root puree. We passed on dessert, and called it an early night. Saw many people dining outside and enjoying cocktails - you may want to do this instead of a full meal. I had a quality, well made Negroni. Special shout out to my friends for celebrating my birthday with me here - I wish the dinner was knock it out of the park like you all are always!

Natasha B.

Yelp
I want to begin by saying how cute the atmosphere is and how the music is also really good. The vibe is super cozy yet intimate and perfect for a date night or a dinner with some friends. The service was great, we were seated right away and attended to in a timely fashion. The food is just simply WOW 10/10. Everything from the mac and cheese bites to the fried burrata and the charred octopus as apps were to die for. It was also very filling. My partner and i ordered spicy rigatoni as a main to share but we were pretty stuffed from all the apps. The spicy rigatoni was also really good. The drinks were also extremely good. For someone who usually likes mom and pop Italian spots, i must say- i was amazed. I would most certainly recommend this spot and i can not wait to go again!

Rachel D.

Yelp
Have been a few times and also impressed. Cocktails are great, especially the spicy margarita! Favorite menu item is the lasagna.

Jackie S.

Yelp
Excellent. Ditmars needed a spot like this. Wow. I am blown away by their food! Make a reservation, they're packed, which is amazing considering they're brand new. I had the octopus and kale salad as appetizers and shared the veal parm for two as the entree. Everything was fantastic. The parm though...AMAZING. It. Was. Perfect. And I'm never a big fan of pasta on the side but I ate it all. The service was great and our waitress was really friendly. They have a nice bar with some interesting cocktails too. What a spot, I can't wait to come back!

Lui P.

Yelp
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant with chill vibes and elevated Italian menu! We will be back!

Kamini R.

Yelp
Love this place! They have a wide selection on their menu which was perfect for our crew. The service was attentive and thoughtful, we have a stroller and their made sure to never serve anything near the baby. It's modern, sleek, and we loved the seating both inside and outside.

Cee C.

Yelp
Ninos Aq is a corner spot in a story of Queens. A small quaint little restaurant with big flavors. We got there early for dinner party and the maître d' allowed us to be seated without our entire group. The waiter was very kind and courteous and we started our night off with the cucumber west side drink. It was absolutely light and refreshing. As an appetiter we had the mac & cheese bites with the lemon Dijon dip. They were cooked to perfection with a nice crispy outer coating. We also had the crispy calamari with the pepperoncini aïoli. For dinner I had the black squid ink Fruti di Mare. I had never had black squid ink pasta before and I was absolutely impressed with its texture and taste. The rest of my group had a chicken Parm with fresh rigatoni, meatballs, and the Margarita Pizza. The portion sizes are just right! And we had enough to take home with us. I totally recommend checking out Nino's AQ!

Jessica P.

Yelp
We came here on an Friday night with a reservation and were seated right away. The outdoor patio area is super cute and gives off a nice relaxing vibe. There are many tables as well as a few cabanas too! We started off with some cocktails - the cucumber cocktail and the strawberry margarita, which were both pretty strong and tasty. For appetizers, we ordered the truffle mac and cheese bites (YUM), meatballs, and calamari. For entrees, we got the chicken parm, vodka pie, and pepperoni hot honey pie. All pizza is brick oven and are great to split with a big party! Cute place, good food, and friendly service - I'd return!

Kaitlyn P.

Yelp
Popped in for dinner on a rainy night with my boyfriend. We were very satisfied and enjoyed our meals! Started off with complimentary bread (so yummy!) and we loved the ricotta crostini appetizer! My spicy rigatoni was delicious and my bf really enjoyed his seafood pasta. We'll definitely be back!

Natalie J.

Yelp
Went on a Saturday night around 9:30pm after friends telling us the food was amazing. Sadly we were really disappointed by the food and the service. The pasta was over cooked and drenched in way too much sauce. I had the seafood pasta and my boyfriend had the chicken parm. Both were below average. The white wine was warm. The service was pretty rude too. Will not go back.

david l.

Yelp
Nino's has a nice big outdoor dinig set up. Its gets busy so make a reservation. The menu is limited. The pizzas are very good. The Margherita had the taste of a brixk oven crust but the topping was more of a NY Stlye Pizzaria taste. I really enjoyed it. The Chicken Parm is good but definitely try the Black Ink Pasta. Good stuff and full of seafood

Jen N.

Yelp
Had been looking to come here for a bit and finally had the chance to go. First, I will say I was very impressed with the food. Everything was delicious. The portion size was adequate for what we were being charged. My daughter had the Nutella pizza which she had zero complaints about. I tried it. It was delicious. You cannot go wrong with Nutella....ever. The hubs had the Everything Bagel Pizza, which to his delight had a hefty portion of lox. It was quite delicious. I had the Chilaquiles. Very tasty. Delicious. What you would expect from your standard Chilaquiles. Secondly, the drinks. I had the most amazing drink. The AQ Spritz, which consisted of Tito's (my fave), Prosecco and Grapefruit Syrup. I could easily knock back a few of these but the price prevented me from doing so. Especially since the glass was less than 3/4 filled. My husband got a Moscow Mule, which was good but not served in the standard copper cup, which admittedly took away from the drink. I'm a traditionalist. What can I say? My daughter had a coke. What was disappointing was...there was none. She had to wait for someone to go to the store and buy it. Not sure if there was an issue with the tap/fountain/draft/what ever it is called but we weren't offered an explanation, an apology, etc. I understand things happen. No biggie but it's a bit odd to have to wait for a soda. My husband decided to have a beer. He asked for a Peroni. After some time our server returned to say there was none. He was offered something comparable to which he agreed upon. After waiting and waiting and waiting, it never came. It wasn't busy as we had made reservations first thing so we'd understand if it were the height of service but the bar was so slow. There were two people behind it and I hate to say it but they moved like turtles. I sat directly across from the bar and watched and waited as the drinks were literally being made at a snails pace. We were done with our meal and my husband asked the waiter where the drink was. Noticing we were done and waiting only on the drink he informed us that the bar had not yet prepared it. We cancelled the beer. Not sure how much prep goes into a beer but bar service, or beverage service, is what completely brought my 5 star rating down to a 4. The waiting. The lack of explanation was a bit disheartening. The food; however was amazing and totally worth coming back for. In conclusion, the food? DELICIOUS! Just step up the beverage section. I want to come back and drink appropriately filled glasses of that AQ Spritz. My husband wants a Peroni or something comparable in a timely manner and my daughter wants a coke without having to wait after her parents have been served bar drinks. Oh, and get the proper Copper mule cups! It truly does add to the Mule experience.

Yelp
I'm glad this spot is open during covid with their outdoor dining set up so pretty! I'm a sucker for their pizzas, dont get me wrong other things on the menu have also been delicious, but I'm just sharing my favorite! The Spicy Sopressato and the Truffle pizza are amazing! It's a real chill spot in Astoria and makes you feel like you're at some fancy lounge in Manhattan. The vibes are good and the service is on point. I suggest making a reservation though especially on a Friday night, the wait can be long and it really fills up.

Yelp
Food is good. As is service and ambience. I always ask for my Margarita to not be spicy but it still comes out that way ‍. Pizza is great. Mac n cheese balls are lovely. I've been here a few times and keep coming back. Mgmt also checks in. Recommend

Yelp
Can't here on a weeknight with plenty of outdoor seating (heat lamps available). The servers all wore masks. We ordered the Spicy Rigatoni, Truffle MAC and Cheese bites, and the truffle pizza. Despite it being carb overload, the decision was not regretful!! The food came out a quick pace and service was always attuned to us. The food was great!! The pizza had a wonderfully light crust, pasta was rich, and the Mac and cheese balls might have just been meh for me. Otherwise, a pleasant dining experience!!

Yelp
Came here on a recent Friday and sat inside. It was surprisingly quiet but the food and drinks were both great. Our group split the fried burrata(!!), meatballs, fried calamari, and truffle mac and cheese bites. All were delicious, with the fried burrata as the standout. Everyone loved their entrees, which included the pepperoni & hot honey pizza, sausage & pepperoncini pizza, and carbonara. Really fast service and every cocktail was on point too!

Yelp
Went to Ninos two nights in a row last week with no regrets. Honestly though, their pizza is better than their pasta. The Brussels sprout pizza is an amazing mix of Brussels and cheese. The vodka sauce pizza is a huge crowd pleaser. I will definitely be bringing friends who visit here more often!
