This was one of my more tremendous finds at the shore. It looks like a glorified pizza shop from the outside, which are a dime a dozen anymore. The inside is nice, but unremarkable. I was skeptical at this point. The restaurant is a BYOB which is nice, and a cash saver. Looking over the menu, I wasn't too impressed with the appetizer selections. I asked the server if the pepper shooters (Parmesan, wrapped in prosciutto, in a picked cherry pepper) were house made, and she had to check. The answer was "no". I ordered them anyway, because my palette was already thinking about the ones I had at a Chili festival last month. I was dining with my family. I was looking over the specials, and saw the Roman Feast, about the same time my brother did. He challenged me to eat the entire thing. Shrimp Parm, Chicken Parm, and Eggplant Parm, with a side of penne alfredo. When the dish arrived, it looked good. Simple: breaded and fried covered in sauce and cheese. I did eat the entire plate, and got my photo taken for finishing the plate. It was very good and I would highly recommend it. My son ordered spaghetti carbonara, and it was also excellent. He took over half of it home, and I ate two days later... still excellent if not better! Another dish that was ordered were the Gnocchi Saltanbuca, which was delicious.
My visit was in early October. I can imagine this tiny place gets packed in the summer with vacationers. Regardless, if you are looking to feed an army or just hefty appetites down the shore, this place should be the top of your list.
