Ninth Street Espresso

I lived around the corner for a few years and normal girl there was consistently so rude to me. I was always friendly, always tipped. I could tell she was friendly to other regulars. Is that the point of this place? It just would leave me with a pit in my stomach every time I went.

One of the gems of the East Village -- if you care about a perfectly pulled shot and perfectly steamed milk, this is your spot. I use their signature roast (Alphabet City) for my home espresso machine as well. Add in rotating exhibits by local artists and views onto Tompkins, and you have a 10/10 cafe.

Ninth street Espresso was recommended by one of my friend who is extremely addicted to coffee. The ambiance was casual, relaxed and perfect to stay for a while in the afternoon. Their coffee was delicious and the best part was they have oat milk to choose from. I purchased two packs of their coffee bean which came with a cup of free coffee. The only thing I might be hesitant to visit again is the location, it was not easy for me to get there.

Great friendly neighborhood coffee spot. Stopped in later in the afternoon for a cappuccino (sue me) and some beans for home. Baristas were very friendly and the space is cozy. I like that there’s not a ton of seating in the space, it makes it feel open and more like a gathering space as opposed to a crammed cafe. Not to mention the coffee was splendid. Cappuccino was a bit heavy on the espresso but personally that’s how I like it.

This is an espresso, you can feel the texture, the strength, and just for a single moment in time do you forget about your woes.

I do normally prefer my espressos concentrated. This one was a bit mild. But because of that sweet aftertaste (in a cultured manner), I've decided I still enjoy it!

Good espresso but overpriced. Not much seating but quick service for to go. Pastries and breads looked delicious.

Amazing coffee. Very calm atmosphere and super nice staff. Mostly a place to takeout, but you can find a few places to seat inside
