Niomon MUI

One of the best food experiences I had during my trip to Japan. This restaurant is located in a quiet area not far from Pontocho alley, so very easy to reach. It has just 6 seats facing the chef’s table, in a warm and cozy ambience. The omakase experience was amazing, the squid sashimi was mindblowing, as well as the tempura and the carbon grilled wagyu. The best seasonal ingredients were selected throughout the menu, making every bite unforgettable. I loved the last dish, a few slices of the juicest Red Madonna, so simple and yet so chic. Should deserve a Michelin star. Staff was very kind and friendly, 100% recommended.

I had an amazing omakase experience at Niomon MUI! I was traveling solo and managed to book a last-minute reservation on Tabelog, and I appreciate the chef kindly accepted it. Every course was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. My favorites were the wagyu and the wasabi octopus. The fruits at the end were also pretty fresh! I feel like this place is a hidden gem—popular with locals but still under the radar for most tourists. I also found out afterwards that it’s actually a Michelin-selected restaurant!

NOT Sushi! (at the time of writing, the restaurant name included word 'sushi') Also, the food is too weird, they are trying too hard to be different. Not tasty.

妹に美味しいと紹介されて伺いました。 他の方も書いてある通り、メニューに料金は書かれていません。 それが不安な方には向かないと思います。 しかし、このクオリティーの料理がアラカルトで頼めるのは中々無いので嬉しいです。 お昼にランチをして、ディナーにコースはキツイ時でも安心です。 何を食べてもとても美味しかったです。

家族の記念日に予約をして伺いました。 期待どおりの料理、お酒は大満足でした。コースではなくその場で色々と選んで作ってもらうスタイルです。好きなだけ食べて飲んで一人あたり二万数千円でした。自分としてはとても妥当な金額だと感じました。 料理なんて詳しくないからその場で選ぶなんて恥をかきそう、、、と自分も若い頃は思いましたが、このお店ではそんな気苦労はないです。気さくな店主が何でも受け止めてくれる感じでした。 せっかく京都で美味しいものを食べるのでしたらかなりオススメです。蛤の天麩羅、蓮蒸しの蟹あんかけが印象に残ってます。あと、最後に食べたからすみ餅も。

突き出しが3種類！ ハイボールが美味しくて、駆けつけ2杯！ その後は日本酒1合ずつ✖️4位？ 日本酒に合うお食事でした！ 蛤の天ぷらが1番お好みでした。 ふっくら滋味溢れてました。 もともとのメニューになくても、食べたい素材いえば、数種類調理法を提案してくれる。 近所にあれば通うなー、って感じのフレンドリーさ！ 値段書いてないからドキドキするけど、思った以上に安くて、二度見した！ 2人で、33,000円！ また行く！ 突き出し3種 ・蓮根、椎茸、サンド豆の胡麻和え ・車海老、平貝、きんじそう ・イサキの塩焼き、ヤングコーンの餡掛け お造り ・キンメ ・くえ ・とりがい なすの揚げ出し 岩牡蠣 蛤の天ぷら 毛蟹の春巻き ぐじの鱗焼き イカ梅しそ巻き デザート ・琵琶のコンポートと文旦とキウイ

とにかく美味しい、雰囲気やホスピタリティも最高✨このレベルだと価格設定の高いコースのお店が多いと思いますが、豊富なメニューからアラカルトで食べたいものを好きなだけ食べれます。メニューは旬の食材や、揚げ物、焼き物、汁物、寿司、ご飯ものなど数えられないほど豊富な種類。メニューに価格の記載がありませんが、リーズナブルなので安心して沢山たべてください。毛蟹のメニューは、注文してから身をほぐしてくれます🦀毛蟹鴨鱧牡蠣穴子栗、、高級な食材をたらふく食べて、お酒をたらふく飲んで2万円です🙋‍♀️写真撮ってないお料理も幾つか食べてます！お気に入りのお店になりました。
