Nirvana Soul Coffee

After checking out of the Hyatt I wanted a little something something that was not basic. We thankfully found Nirvana Soul Coffee and it became my favorite in SF. First off, it’s a cute little coffee shop with a few chairs inside to enjoy your drink and bite to eat. There are so many plants inside and cute seasonal decor creating a visually appealing atmosphere. The Lavender Honey Latte was so good, not too sweet, not too strong, just right. It comes with an espresso shot which is just what I needed after a late night. My sister got the peach iced tea and loved it. We easily split the Cheddar Bacon Waffle and it was like nothing I had before. It was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with a cheddar, bacon, and light scallion flavor. It hit the spot so good I was ready to start my day after this treat. It’s clear they put thought and effort into their menu and atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back next time I’m in SF and try something else off their delicious menu.

Cute coffee café (a San José - based business). Their first outpost in San Francisco! I tried a chai latte. It was okay…I just needed a little more sugar & got a few packs to add to my beverage. One of the few open early morning…they open at 7am weekdays & 8am Saturdays. There is food. Looks like the pastries are from Neighborhood Bakehouse (Dogpatch). I find Phil’s beverages to be weak. Happy there is another option near SF’s Caltrains station!!!

I tried their banana chai with oat milk & it was incredible. Service was amazing & the barista handed me a rose with my chai! 💕🫶🏾 She was so sweet & beautiful! I will definitely be back whenever I visit San Francisco again

I've found Nirvana! My husband loved the hazelnut mocha while I enjoyed a perfect cold brew. We were in a hurry so just chose readymade pastries to go - absolutely loved the sweet potato pie. Beautiful interior and fantastic service. We'll definitely be back for the great coffee and to try the waffles next time.

Yay another amazing Black owned spot! Haven't had the food here but the latte was DIVINE, my friend and I were amazed. Cute place for coffee. Staff was welcoming. Coffee was good. We also tried vegan muffin , that was also nice. It has limited seatings. Looks like favorite spots among locals.

such an adorable cafe with beautiful decor and plants. there's limited seating but comfortable to work at when you get a seat. there's a variety of specialty lattes, other drinks, and food. I tried the iced mabuhay ube latte ($6 regular) and the colors were beautiful! I thought it was a bit too sweet so I would ask for less sweet next time but you could definitely taste the ube flavor and the espresso. would definitely come again to try other items!

Located across from The Beacon, this is a new addition to the Mission Bay coffee scene. I came by in the morning and there was no line. Order at the register, find a seat, and pick up your order once it's called. Even though coffee is in the name, the menu had plenty of non-coffee options as well as sweet & savory waffles. I picked one of their Specialty items, a regular-sized White Rose Latte ($6.00 + tax) and requested Light Sweet. +Drinkable temperature: Hot, but doesn't burn your mouth/tongue +Not too sweet w/subtle rose flavor +I removed the lid and noticed a cute heart. I think they should leave the drinks uncapped so customers can appreciate the latte art! -On the milky side: Espresso wasn't very strong. Side notes: 1.) Rewards: Sign up w/phone # to earn points 2.) Indoor counter seating and outdoor table seating 3.) Restroom available for customers 4.) Walking distance from King Street Caltrain Station *Verdict: Since they have such a diverse menu, I want to return to try more of their offerings.

Nirvana Soul is a cute and vibrant conveniently located within walking distance of Caltrain, Oracle Park, China Basin, etc. They offer a nice selection of food, pastries, and unique lattes. I stopped by on a weekday morning. There was a short line when I arrived, but it moved quite quickly. Most people were just grabbing coffee and pastries to-go, so despite the small space, there was seating available both indoors (high tops and a bench) and outdoors (cafe tables and chairs on the sidewalk, with some foot traffic). I ordered the mabuhay ube latte (espresso, steamed milk, ube, and coconut) and the chorizo con queso waffle (Spanish chorizo, Oaxaca cheese, and jalapeno). The latte was def yummy - flavorful without being too sweet or overpowering. The waffle was cooked perfectly: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and a good balance of sweet and savory with a bit of butter and syrup. It was pretty filling, so if I were to order it again, I would probably save half or share with another person. I can't wait to come back and try more of their unique lattes and goodies!

A hidden gem cafe by the 4th and King Caltrain station! The staff are extremely friendly, and after asking for recommendations I got a banana chai latte and the last sweet potato pie, and both were delicious! The latte tasted just like Korean banana milk, although I would have preferred a stronger chai flavor. The sweet potato pie was a perfect pick me up -- creamy and not too sweet. There's free WiFi but limited seating. I'm excited to come back and try more of their specialty drinks!

It's not often that I'm wowed by coffee that is catered to work events but man did Nirvana Soul deliver. Our office had them bring in some lattes, and if my memory serves me correctly there was an ube flavor? All I remember is that the flavor was sweet without being overpowering, and the nutty flavor complimented the coffee so well. For a flavored latte they really hit it out of the park and I'd love to go to their brick and mortar to try a freshly prepared one as if served out of a carafe it's this good you KNOW it's going to be insane made to order.

This small coffee shop has lots of character and great vibes starting from the two ladies that assisted me, I was greeted w a big warm smile and that already made all the difference. I ordered a vegan muffin and it was moist and delicious and not on a heavy side, not dense at all, not too sweet. The dirty Diana was wonderful, not too sweet w that chai hint, I do wish that it was little hotter by that is my personal preference. The coffee shop offers academia milk which is amazing, I do not know any other coffee shop that offers macadamia nut milk as non dairy options, kudos !!! There were a few seats inside and three tables outside. I sat outside for about an hour and the traffic was steady. Also, other thing that I noticed was that their cups are thicker than normal cups so no sleeve is need which is very cool and eco friendly. Wonderful place with good vibes all around.

Food: I really enjoyed the waffles! I wasn't able to eat it right away, so they got soggy. I popped them in the air fryer and they crisped right back up. I ordered a chorizo waffle for myself and a churro waffle for my husband. We loved them both! They were light and crispy. My husband said that the churro waffle was sweet but not too sweet. The savory chorizo waffle was yummy with syrup for a savory/salty treat and without syrup too. I also ordered a lightly sweetened Celebration Latte. I wanted to try one of their signature drinks. I thought it was okay and maybe would try it fully sweet next time. Service: The ladies working behind the counter were very friendly and helpful at making suggestions on what to order for my first time. Ambiance: The store is very vibrantly decorated. It would be a great place to get something before a ball game!

This was such a cute establishment! It was a one woman show , but she was so sweet and handled us with care. It's a small place so it gets packed quick! My drink was amazing! I will definitely go back and try more items! I hade the ube latte 10/10 Customer service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10

So happy to see Nirvana Soul open a location in the city! This location is cozy but bright with a couple of places to sit. Its iconic bright pink, yellow, and purple decor is so fun, and the baristas were so warm and welcoming to us upon our arrival. There were a couple of people alongside us for our drinks, but it only took about 5 minutes. I got the hot Lover's Quarrel, and it's just as good as their original location. The beautiful pink color matches the sweet harmony of the chai spices and the kick of cayenne and turmeric just really makes this drink a perfect start to a morning. I can't wait to be back!

I saw Nirvana Soul had opened up 1 block from my office near the ballpark and a few public transit stops (and some bike lanes! We love bikability and public transit) and had to stop by! I came by after a late lunch and they were still pretty busy. I love the cheery, bright interior ambiance. The pink and the local artwork (go Warriors and Giants!) is cheery. There's cute artistic writing on the wall and ceiling. Service is very very good and friendly and helpful. They sell merch and have a few seats and tables inside, but not many. My iced Mabuhay Ube Latte (espresso + steamed milk + ube + coconut, $6 for medium vs $6.75 for large) was delicious. It was just the right amount of sweet and satisfying. I will definitely be back just for this, though my interest is so piqued to try some of their other drinks like the celebration latte or the white rose or the honey lavender lattes. It's Black woman owned and the vibes are immaculate. This is a great addition to the neighborhood and city!

I got the chance to try Nirvana Soul on my visit to SF and long story short: I was in their DMs asking how to ship the Ube latte to CT. I'm not typically a fan of hot beverages but I really enjoyed it! The ube was subtle but paired really well with the coconut. While I can't have it at home, I've already bookmarked them for the next time I'm around!!

We had a bunch of Nirvana Soul Coffee brought in for a work event and IT WAS SO GOOD! It was later in the day, and I had already enjoyed quite a bit of caffeine during the day but the thought of a nice hot cup of ube coffee was too good to pass up. The flavor was smooth and not overly sweet. Even though we had drinks in coffee carafes to pour and not individual drinks, the quality was spot on. I'll definitely have to visit their location in person soon.

What a great midday pick me up at our office! Nirvana soul delivered with their lattes and coffee- I loved the ube! It was definitely different than anything I had tried, and I always love trying new things. It is a bit on the sweeter side so just an fyi if that's not your jam. I'm sure if you order in store you can adjust the sweetness. Always love trying something new!

Super fun coffee shop with spicy coffee drinks. Really nice staff. Did they have the savory waffle that I was looking for? No. Did the churro one taste as good or better? Yes, indeed. I know it's out of the way, but I would still make a trip to check it out guys. It's super close to the Caltrain.

Great vibe, great music, fast service and surprisingly good ube latte. I usually find them too sweet but this was in the lighter side and more coffee forward. Hung out for a bit before lunch and walking around and just enjoyed people watching and listening to their music. The snacks smelled amazing but didn't get to try as was heading to lunch. This place has such a nice vibe. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. I got an iced ube latte with almond milk and it wasn't too sweet, which I liked. The drink was really tasty, and the sweet potato dessert was also good!

I got the Celebration late that's cake batter flavored and it was so good. I asked the cashier for her opinion and she was super nice! I wanted a sweet, not so strong coffee and they made it perfectly! The ambiance is so cute the shop is super cute. I would definitely come back!

This SJ rooted cafe has finally made it's way into the city! Their cute cafe is filled with fun, bright colors that fit the bright mood. They have a great menu of different tea and coffee drinks that come in cool flavor combinations. I got one of their popular options which is the Mabuhay Ube Latte consisting of espresso, milk, ube, and coconut. The drink was nicely sweet and blended smoothly with the coffee. I'll have to go back to check out some of their snacks like pastries and waffles. Staff was super nice and willing to answer questions pr make suggestions. They are conveniently located near the Caltrain so be sure to check them out when you're in the area

Having visited the shop in San Jose on a few occasions, I was excited to check out the shop in San Francisco. The location is close to the Giants ball park so I'm sure they get tons of business during game days. That being said, I could see finding a parking spot could be a challenge on game days. The decor, branding, look and feel is similar to the San Jose location but a lot smaller inside. I ordered my favorite, banana chai and it was good but not as good as what I get in San Jose. Thinking they put an extra bit of love in the cup there - ha ha ! Overall, I'm glad to see black owned business expansion here in the Bay Area and will continue to roll through and support !

This has quickly become one of my favorite cafes in the city. It was recommended to me by a friend and now I can't stop going. The cafe itself is small (no public bathroom) but bright, colorful, and beautifully decorated. I have only tried the dirty banana chai and it just hits every time! I'd like to try other drinks but this has been so good I haven't switched it up yet. Staff are all very friendly and attentive. I've already recommended this place to a few other people

Really glad this coffee place near my apartment opened up. Interesting choices and i'm currently running through their menu, but so far, loving the ube latte and almond croissant. The ube mochi and celebration latte were okay, but not my favorites. The sweet potato pie was also interesting.

Need a midday pick me up? Nirvana Soul Coffee will do the trick. They came into our office for a coffee break and it was just what I needed to finish the day. Bold flavors and strong caffeination. The ube was fabulous! I wish we had a spot like this where I live.

SO HAPPY that nirvana soul is in the city! i stopped by on opening day and was welcomed by a warm staff. the place is bright and cheery with dope art on the walls. the drink menu is extensive and the pastries are from a local baker. i got the ube latte and sweet potato pie - both sooo good. i chatted with the owners and they gave me a sample of the banana chai - different and delicious! i'll definitely get that next time. i'll be back to this gem and will keep spreading the word about this new & black owned addition to the city!

This place is a whole vibe. Saw someone post about it on IG and finally had a chance to go. Walked in and was greeted immediately. She was awesome and helped me decide on a drink, which was tough because there are so many good options! The playlist had jams. The artwork they have up is dope too. Will def be back!

The drinks here are amazing--you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! I was so excited when they opened a location in the city since they've mostly been in the South Bay. My top favorites are the Ube Latte and the Banana Chai. The Ube Latte has a strong, rich flavor without tasting watered down, which is rare to find. The Banana Chai is perfectly balanced, with the banana flavor complementing the chai instead of overpowering it. Beyond the drinks, the quality and consistency here are top-notch. The ingredients taste fresh, and you can tell they put a lot of thought into their recipes. The staff is also super friendly and efficient, making the whole experience even better. Whether you're a regular or trying this spot for the first time, you're in for a treat!

The fact that this place doesn't have a line out the door each morning makes me ashamed for this neighborhood and whatever everyone's seeking out in their boring bougie café experience because this is it right here. I've been here 3 times and genuinely left happier each time because the people working and hanging out there were giving such good vibes. Awesome, creative flavors. I love the Golden Child (hot or iced). This last time I got the bacon and cheddar waffle and let me tell you, my nirvana soul left my body. Put a little bit of butter on her and rip those squares into their little fours and dip them in the syrup and eat it like toast if you're a pro. Salty, fatty, sweet, crispy and somehow also fluffy. I'm happy this is in the neighborhood anytime I want to treat myself on a morning off.

FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE- from the moment i stepped in the door until i left. great energy, great vibes, great people and GREAT COFFEE! tried the ube latte and it was so yummy! then the barista made me a celebration latte to try (which has cake batter syrup) and sent me home with more than i even expected. now THAT is hospitality! if you're thinking about visiting, JUST COME! you won't regret it. praying blessings and success over this beautiful coffee shop

The service is ABSOLUTELY amazing!!! We LOVED the Banana Chai, Hazelnut Mocha and B's Tea!! The bacon cheddar and ham and cheese croissant were also delectable. So happy to support such an amazing business.

I was so excited to see a new coffee shop opening here, and now that I've had a chance to stop in, I can't wait to be a regular. The shop itself is beautifully decorated and has a great vibe. The baristas were super friendly and patient with my pre-coffee state. ;) We tried the caramel apple and honey lavender lattes, and they were delicious. I'm a big honey lavender fan, and I'd been wishing for a close shop that had them on the menu. Wish granted!! We also tried the chorizo con queso waffle, and it was super tasty! Long story long, definitely check it out if you're in the area. I can't wait to stop by again!

Great woman owned cafe! So nice to finally have a cafe close to work! Friendly staff and the lattes are fire especially the honey lavender. I would highly recommend coming here. Next, ill need to try their ube latte. ;)

Such a fantastic addition to our work neighborhood!!! Everything delicious. Such great service (I accidentally ordered online for pick up in Cupertino!!! And they made it happen anyway). Ambiance is just what the name promises -- nirvana soul.

I've noticed the new coffee shop in the area decided to stop by today. The place was crowded and closing shortly by the time I walked in. I'm big on customer service, the energy was off. I just got a blank stares, short answers, no recommendations from the menu. Coffee was okay, customer service could be better. You might have a different experience. Try it out.

I am SO happy Nirvana Soul has landed in SF! I loved their location in San Jose but since moving here I have missed them. Their coffee is delicious, staff is so welcoming and helpful, and reasonably priced menu overall. Their space is also beautiful which is a bonus. I come here every chance I can and I am always so glad I did.

Stopped in this morning for an oat milk latte + pastry and both were exceptional. The latte in particular had a nice finish - I'd love to know what they added to give such a unique flavor. The cafe itself has a lot of personality and feels very inspired. All the staff were friendly, too. Happy to have another coffee shop in the neighborhood and will 100% be back!
