I stopped by this cool coffee shop today and it completely exceeded my expectations! The coffee was so delicious; perfectly smooth and rich, and the sweet potato pie was absolutely amazing. 🥧✨ The space itself is beautiful, filled with inspiring local art and good vibes, feel-good music. You can really feel the creativity in the atmosphere. I’m always in search of the best coffee in town wherever I travel, and this spot definitely makes the list! Such a wonderful experience overall. I’ll definitely be coming back. 💛

The Hazelnut Mocha was pretty good. The White Rose Latte was good but TOO sweet. The cafe itself is really pretty. Lots of seating space inside and outside. Parking was somewhat hard to find. If you are in the area probably worth a visit.

Friendly staff. Loved open mic night. Only one issue, I could not get a hold of their marketing director for private party/ catering services. I called, emailed and left several voicemails. She finally got back to me after I called the coffee shop asking for help getting a hold of her. She called last minute to say they couldn't accommodate us. We still met up ay Nirvana Soul and the staff was absolutely wonderful accommodating our group upstairs. We had a fun night that was good for all our souls! I can't wait to go back on another open mic night. The waffles were tasty, the coffee delish and the company and talent was inspiring and fun.

Came here on a early Sunday morning. It was open! None of the other stores around. I just got a plain brewed coffee with a splash of oat milk. The coffee is perfect. It didn't need the oatmilk. They had some fancy lattes but sounded like desserts.

7 tables downstairs and 3 upstairs. Upstairs is very cute with a skylight. Vegan muffins, milks and a gluten-free mochi cake that is not labeled vegan but according to the allergen label has only coconut and nuts. They also have a piano!

Tried the matcha latte here, and honestly, it was a letdown. The flavor is bland and weak, almost like they used a teaspoon of matcha for a cup full of ice and milk. The drink tastes watery and lacks that rich, earthy matcha punch you’d expect—especially for the price. Feels like they’re being too cheap with the matcha. 4 g should be minimum per cup. If you’re a real matcha lover, this one’s a pass.

Cool Coffee Shop. Their Ube and White Rose Lattes are tasty but on swwet side_worth to asking them to cut back on suger.

Got an iced latte, and it was pretty good. The highlight was the staff there because they were so welcoming and nice. There is a cute pink sitting area on the second floor where a lot of people were working. The drinks are a little bit on the pricier side, but nothing too

A friend recommended Nirvana because I like trying new coffee places with my daughter, it's our thing I was not disappointed. The vibe was on point, some groovy music playing and cool decor. I ordered the Dirty Diana and cheddar bacon waffle. My daughter had the celebration latte. Dirty Diana is chai, espresso, milk and beet- it was chai spicy and delicious. Waffle was crunchy on the outside and moist inside, perfect amount of cheddar and bacon. Celebration latte is espresso, milk and birthday cake syrup- not too sweet... perfect Staff were all friendly and welcoming. I would definitely go back.

I really loved the vibes of this coffee shop the second I walked in: warm, welcoming, bright, and inclusive. There's some seating on the first floor near the entrance and an upstairs area as well. We ordered the Dirty Diana (chai, espresso, milk and beet). Very tasty and I'm a sucker for pretty latte art. I love the unique options they have here, with lattes having fun ingredients ranging from beets to turmeric to ube. Yum. The store was also super kind because the barista had made an extra iced caramel latte, and they offered it to us at no charge. We accepted the offer and the latte was delicious and smooth and delightfully sweet from the caramel. We'll definitely be coming back to this coffee shop!

Love the vibes at this location from the friendly and quick service to the music they play. They have areas that you can work or study from both up stairs and down stairs. They have unique drink and food options. Will be back to try more!

I visited recently and I'm so happy I did! I ordered the sweet potato pie and the banana chai. The sweet potato pie was delicious, sweet, and had a crunchy, yummy pie crust. The banana chai was really good; had the perfect amount of banana syrup taste and comforting chai flavors. My second time having one of their drinks and I love their unique and amazing drink and sweet treat options. The staff was friendly and the ambiance was chill.

No decaf beans :( coffee is alright (I get cappuccinos) but I wanted decaf today- limited selection of beans

The coconut ube latte is quite good here. There are a few tables on the first and second floor, making this place a nice and convenient spot to grab coffee and chill for a bit.

This will be a review of the restaurants community outreach program. I recently found out that they sell the pastries that are past their sell time at a discount. I over heard a lady explaining about a app that pairs restaurants and shops with people looking for a deal on food items. I wish that they would give it away for free . But I understand in the real world, businesses need to make money. I totally don't mind paying a discount price for day old pastries. I love pizza the next day,so why not try a mixed bag. I just wish that more businesses would participate. As for the coffee. I got a plain old black drip. Somehow it just works with croissants.

I'm a fan of Nirvana Soul Coffee. There are a number of indie coffee shops in the area, and I've enjoyed their coffee more than one of their competitors. But, hey, nobody's competing with anyone here - it's chill, the music has a nice groove, the pastries are worth checking out, too. But, what has brought me back to Nirvana is the coffee. (And the staff, who have uniformly been relaxed and helpful) If I had a bit more time, I would settle in for an hour or so of laptop time with my Joe. The rectangular-shaped space has some nice areas that look good for chatting with a friend, or doing your own thing, solo. I believe there's a piano at Nirvana, too, but I've not seen anyone on it. I imagine they might have live music at some point, but I'm just guessing! I would definitely stop in for that, too.

Next level customer service! The Dirty Chai was perfect. The Bacon Waffle was delicious. The quiche was equally good. The restrooms are very clean and did I mention the staff are Professional and helpful and are quick to give recommendations. This spot is a must try if you are in the area. We are for sure coming back soon.

This is is a cute coffee place w a great soundtrack ! I got my usual Americano which was above average and daughter got their iced vanilla latte which was not too bad. All together a 4 stars cafe

This is a solid coffee shop with an awesome vibe. The music playlist at this coffee shop is on point! They were playing OG Bay Area hip hip classics last Sunday. I just finished my half-marathon and was craving a coffee drink so we came with my family here. I thoroughly enjoyed their Ube latte (iced). It had so much flavor and had more "Ube" taste than the other ube drinks I've had. This is by far, my favorite Ube coffee drink. There are other drinks and specialty waffles which I do want to taste for next time. There isn't much space for seating but that's ok. I enjoyed the colorful and vibrant artwork on the walls too! The baristas aren't as enthusiastic here but it's ok, it's no biggie. This a cool coffee shop and definitely worth a visit for newcomers. I'd definitely come back!

What a fabulous little spot! The bright, energy i needed this morning. I was greeted happily and woth good music. I ordered a White Chocolate Rose Latte that was delicious. The shop was cute with tons of seating. Some seating outside. Its downtown, so you'll need to find street parking in the area.

Loved the artsy, bold vibe at Nirvana Soul--such a colorful, creative space in the SoFa district of San Jose. From the murals to the pink ceiling, the whole place feels like a celebration of local art and culture. I ordered the Lover's Quarrel and wow--delicious. Sweet, spicy, creamy... I'm already trying to figure out how to make it at home. The menu has a lot of unique drinks I'm curious to try, so I'll definitely be back. The butter croissant, though, was a letdown--way too oily and heavy. Not something I'd order again. Service was fine, but nothing special--friendly enough but felt a little rushed and confused almost. Overall, totally worth a stop if you love coffee with personality and a strong sense of place.

First time trying Nirvana Soul Coffee Purveyors and let me just say, it was delicious! Upon entering you see artwork everywhere. It is very vibrant and colorful. All the walls are filled with artwork. Even the menu is colorful. We ordered a regular iced honey lavender latte with whole milk and a regular iced mabuhay ube latte with oat milk. Both were very tasty. Not strong but also not too sweet. I think it is a perfect mixture of coffee and sweetness. The service was very helpful and the coffee came out pretty fast after ordering. Will be coming back soon. Highly recommend if you are in Downtown and feel like grabbing a coffee.

My partner and I stopped in a few weeks ago just wanting to support a local black owned business. The inside of the shop is really fun and brightly colored which I found cute. The barista was helpful with giving over their drink menu since we were first timers. He recommended the iced banana chai which I got with macadamia milk. The drinks came out pretty quickly and the chai was very rich, flavorful, and filling. My partner went with the nirvana peach and I ended up finishing it before he got the chance because it was so light and refreshing!

Tried 2 of the new holiday drinks, which were the eggnog latte and snickerdoodle latte, and hazelnut mocha and they were all delicious! Highly recommend trying their new drinks. The staff is so kind and look like they enjoy being there. The inside of the coffee shop is such a nice place to enjoy your morning coffee too!

Every time I've come to this particular coffee shop or the one in Cupertino it's always the same great environment with amazing taste in music!! I also like the fact that they have artwork done by local artist and it's also for sale! I love the community aspect, this particular coffee Shop offers! Plus, they have delicious combos of coffee and tea, as well as gluten-free items for people with issues with celiac like me!! I will definitely be back here again and again! Both locations the barista's are always friendly, and you can catch them singing the songs in between helping the customers! I think it's cute and personable! You can tell they really love their job and it's a good vibe here!! I suggest everyone try the macadamia nut milk. It's so creamy and sweet!! They also have a great peach green tea!! My favorite is their mushroom latte something or rather and don't overthink it. It does not taste like mushrooms. It actually has a light chocolate flavor!! I will definitely be back here again!!

My absolute favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood! *service* Friendly staff and puts love into making your coffee. My days are brighter! *ambiance* Super esthetically pleasing and their story floor mezzanine is neat for those who want a less busy area from the downstairs footsteps. Highly recommended

Nirvana soul coffee is so trendy and bright, and has such unique flavored lattes. I had to try their ube coconut latte, and it did not disappoint (I ordered it half sweet with oat milk). The waffles are surprisingly way more filling than I expected. I ordered the bacon cheddar one, but it was a little more undercooked than I normally "waffle." It was good, but not something I would personally order again. I drenched it in syrup and it was still delicious, however (isn't everything once it's drenched in syrup?!). The staff was also super nice and helpful with questions about the menu.

It's sooo cute inside and the staff were very friendly. I ordered an Iced Oatmilk Banana Chai and it was delicious. Wish I could find something similar where I'm from.

Nirvana Soul is one of my favorite spots to get my matcha latte and waffles in downtown San Jose. It is close to the San Jose State University campus and is along the strip with many places you can eat. This particular location has a piano and a 2nd floor balcony where you can sit and work on your craft. The staff here is very friendly and kind. If you are a student from SJSU, you can request for a discount by showing them your student ID. They have a wide selection of drinks you can get, but I always opt for the matcha latte. The matcha is incredible and I like the golden waffles here because it's not too sweet. It goes with everything. They provide you with butter and syrup if you want to add a bit more flavor to it. I like the waffles as it is. The pink, white, and black decor in here is spectacular. I feel very safe as a woman going to this cafe, and they make this a cozy environment for you. I would definitely come back here again.

This place is very popular, 9am on a Saturday morning this place was already packed. I came here to study and there was a good amount of seating. I will say the music was set very loud with a lot of bass so it made it hard to concentrate. I honestly would not recommend studying here. I moved from the ground floor to the loft and I could still feel the bass up here and the music was overpowering. Food was good. I ordered the bacon and cheddar waffle but I wish the waffle had more bacon and cheddar. It had the taste of it but as I was eating it I felt the lack of the ingredients. My friend has come here before and she also agreed and stated that previous times that she ate here they definitely had more bacon in the waffle. Over all yummy but could be better. The banana chai was okay- I was very excited for this drink when I looked this placed up online. It was on the sweeter side, and if I were to order again I would ask for less sweetener but the banana chai is a great idea and hope it's better the next time I come. I understand the hype of this place as its very vibe-y but I most likely will not come back to get studying in. Maybe for a hang with a friend, but I would say that the music is still so loud for a productive conversation to happen.

Also had their chocolate chip cookie. Like a deep dish cookie - all buttery goodness. Looking forward to trying some other beverages soon.

This was my friend's and my first time visiting this coffee shop, and I was instantly drawn to its bright, gold-accented aesthetic.The space is absolutely beautiful--stunning artwork, cozy seating, and even additional seating upstairs make it such a pleasant spot to enjoy a coffee. Service was quick with no wait time, which I really appreciated. I'll definitely be back to soak in the ambiance again and try something new from the menu!

Very cute decor inside, especially for XMAS. This location is in downtown so all the parking is metered and may be hard to find street parking. However, there are a few parking garages nearby that gives 90 minutes free parking! 2 drinks caught my eye which was the Dirty Diana and the Mabuhay Ube Latte. I got both drinks HOT although they both have ICED options. The Mabuhay Ube Latte has espresso, milk, ube, and coconut. I opted for the whole milk which I enjoy more than other options like almond, oat, cashew etc! The drink was thick and tasty, you can really taste the ube and I'm wondering if they use real ube because of how thick the drink was. The drink has a good sweetness level yet you can still taste the ube and espresso! I would definitely get the Mabuhay Ube Latte again. However, I was not a fan of the Dirty Diana which has chai, espresso, milk and beet. The drink was way too sweet and I couldn't taste the spices much for a chai drink. They definitely need to use more spices in this chai latte! If I were to get the Dirty Diana again, I would ask for half the sweetness, if that is possible! I would definitely come back for the Mabuhay Ube Latte and I also want to try the Honey Lavender Latte next visit!

I've come here a few times being that I work downtown often. Drinks are decent and the aesthetic is definitely there. My only thing is if you're going there to try and study, work on homework, or go on a zoom call, they blast the music way too loud. Yes, the music taste is present but there's been a number of occurrences where the music is blaring it makes it really hard to even just order my drink.

i'm in this area every year and I like to grab a latte and some baked goods in the morning every day that I am in this area. Their servers are really cool and friendly. Just be aware sometimes they get pretty busy during the day so there might be a slight wait if you're ordering a waffle in addition to your drink. But the drinks come out pretty fast within 10 minutes even when they are pretty busy. The place has a pretty cool vibe and it's a nice coffee shop to chill in or hang out with friends.

Just adding to the praise that this local spot has received over the last 5 years. Since then this cafe has established itself as a go-to community meeting spot for a number of reasons, including the stylish yet comfortable ambiance. Their coffee is high quality and the sweets selection is as tasty as it is unique. They also feature yummy fresh juices from a local business owner in front of the register. Staff are always pleasant and service is quick and efficient. There is metered parking down 1st street which can get full on weekends and evenings, so if it's not a weekend I usually have success parking in the surrounding neighborhood.

They are quick and fast with their service. There's nothing special about their menu, as they don't often add or change it. They offer various alternative milks and can prepare drinks hot or cold, but please note that this option is available upon request. Don't recommend any of the cold teas. I have tried them all, and they lack flavor. I custom-ordered iced matcha with mango syrup and water (no milk). The waffle is good for a quick bite. I do love the bright pink walls and the ample seating, both inside and outside, as well as the good Wi-Fii.

Love the vibes, love the ample plant options with fun tea and latte options to try. I got the Golden Child chai latte with the barista recommended macadamia nut milk and it was the cozy hug of a drink I needed today. It's 50% off waffles on Wednesdays so of course I got one, the churro waffle. Next time I come by I think I'll try one of the iced lattes. Definitely worth a visit if you are in this part of downtown.

I was walking in DTSJ and saw this place. My bf ordered the ube latte and I ordered a matcha latte. I appreciated how the cashier said that the matcha came unsweetened because some don't mention that. I like matcha sweet and unsweetened but today I got lavender matcha w almond milk. For alternative milk, they have almond, oat, and hazelnut. I asked for soy, but they didn't have that so if you want soy I don't know if they were out just today or they don't carry it. Overall the place was cute and the matcha was good. People were inside working etc and there's lots of seating both inside and out.

What an absolute gem in San Jose. Love the specialty drinks, food, and the vibe. Nirvana is a cozy spot to meet up with friends and for a little treat with your family. Great people, great coffee/food, and great energy!

My company brought this coffee into the office during a recent visit. Wow! I've never had Ube in coffee before and I was a little skeptical even thought I love Ube. This was amazing! Such a fun flavor to have in your coffee and the coconut milk made it super creamy. No notes. No need to add anything extra. I wish we had something like this in my area!

Wow! Came for a better coffee than what was served in the hotel and this coffee did NOT disappoint. I felt so welcomed the moment I walked in. I ordered the celebration latte and it exceeded all expectations. Nothing is mediocre about this coffee or shop. The guy making the coffee made conversation and thanked me for coming in. I chose this shop for the vibrant colors and beautiful atmosphere but will stay for the amazing coffee and staff/owners! Thanks for making a great morning!

Nirvana Soul catered for one of our company's events and it was a complete hit! They had several unique drinks, but I was surprised that a traditional mocha wasn't on the list of options. My favorite was the rose white chocolate one! It was the perfect balance of flavor and coffee without being overwhelmingly sweet.

Staff were super friendly, and really helpful as my daughter has dairy allergy. Super cute definitely meets the name amazing mural done by local artist. The spinach tomato quiche was amazing and flaky custard was delicious. My daughter had strawberry maple oatmeal was perfect not too sweet it's vegan and nut free. I got a dirt banana chi was awesome. Chai was spicy not too much banana and coffee was smooth not burnt at all which is hard to find at a lot of coffee shops. My mom got an iced mocha with float of cream was really good chocolate was dark. Definitely give this place a go in downtown and parking on both sides of street

Grabbed a tea here a couple weeks ago (not my first one here). I'm always in awe of how beautiful it is inside. Everyone is always so nice and caring. I love Nirvana Soul and will continue to support them!

There's not much open at early morning at downtown San Jose. So glad to find Nirvana. It's good!! Nicely decorated inside. Love the painting on the wall and the piano at the front. I got the dirty Diana. It was yum. Pastries was heated and crunchy. Service was great and friendly. Would definitely come back.

I happened to be in the area and was in need of caffeine and a place to sit down and do some emails. Nirvana Soul seemed really highly rated so I decided to check it out. This place is buzzing - a lot of people and a lot of great energy. They have a few tables outside, a few inside, as well as a few upstairs in the loft area. Ordered my usual - an iced oat milk latte. The coffee itself was good, but nothing exceptional and although the vibe of this place is a ton of fun, the music is pretty loud so it's actually a bit hard to sit down and get a little bit of work done, even with noise cancelling headphones. Service was courteous and efficient, though I wouldn't say overly friendly. A great spot, especially if this level of energy is your jam.

Took a very long time to get our items (it was the 5 year anniversary so I understand the business) and you can't order ahead of time. Hard to find parking. Got the Ube latte and it was really good just not worth the wait and price.

Nirvana Soul is one of my favorite spots in San Jose. It's stylish, welcoming, and full of good energy. You can tell it's a place made with heart. I had the iced honey lavender matcha with rose--literally divine. Sweet, floral, earthy, and totally unique. The vibes, the music, the art on the walls... everything just clicks. A must if you love supporting local, Black-owned businesses that actually get what community feels like.

Stopped by to try the Mabuhay Ube Latte (got it with oat milk). It was lovely! Just the right amount of sweetness and ube flavor. I would absolutely order it again. Don't forget to shake or stir it up before drinking. Congrats to this black-owned business. The interior design is way fun and lively! I will say I wish the employees were just as welcoming as the look and feel of the place, but overall, it was a positive experience.

Every single Nirvana Soul I've been to, I've loved. The food and coffee will always be consistently great. What makes it super special is I've seen a small vendor out front almost every time! This time it was a lady selling cookies. The consistency, customer service, and sense of community makes this chain really stand out as far as reasons why I'll keep coming back.

Ambiance is relaxing. Normally I get the mocha. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I heard the story of how they opened the business. I'm more than happy to support the mission. The waffles are so good. There's so much art around the store also. I'll definitely be visiting the new location at the MLK library soon.
