Nisanyan Hotel | Best places to stay on the Turquoise Coast

"A unique and cultured hotel, with a wide range of rooms in different settings and styles, set on a hillside above one of Turkey’s most unspoilt country towns. The heart of the hotel, with its lovely dining terrace overlooking the handsome 19th-century mansions of Sirince, is the 5-room inn while there are 7 country-style cottages scattered across the adjacent garden grounds. A memorably characterful place, run by charming staff, in delightful surroundings in the hills above Ephesus. " - Jeremy Seal

The best place we stayed on our one month trip in Türkiye! The staff were lovely, the breakfast was as nice and the views of Sirence were beautiful every morning. They upgraded our room for free, and the marble pool was so nice and cold and refreshing we couldn’t get enough of it. A must stay if you’re in the Sirence area! 10/10

Wonderful stay! Unique place, high up the hill overlooking Şirince. Beautiful views, wrapped in nature. Serene and tranquil. Very decorative, history everywhere. Steep walk from town, but absolutely doable and not far. Food at Nisanyan is amazing! Eat there every dinner if you can. All the staff were so kind, helpful, hospitable and generous. They were really exceptional! A must stay.

I’m not the type to leave reviews, but I felt compelled to after our unforgettable stay at Nişanyan Hotel.||My husband and I spent three weeks traveling through Turkey and Greece, staying in many luxury hotels along the way. Yet the most memorable and meaningful part of our trip was the two nights we spent here. Nişanyan Hotel isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a truly one-of-a-kind, magical experience.||When we first drove up through the charming town of Şirince and climbed the winding hill, we half-joked to ourselves, “Where on earth are we going?” But the moment we arrived at the top, it was as if we’d discovered a hidden village. Walking toward the main building felt like stepping straight into The Secret Garden. Every corner tells a story — full of history, nature, and beauty — yet everything is tastefully decorated and wonderfully cozy.||From the very beginning, the staff made us feel at home. We were greeted with big smiles by Ibo, who offered us a refreshing local juice, and then welcomed by Nur, the manager, whose warmth set the tone for our stay. To our delight, we were upgraded to The Mansion 1 — the honeymoon suite — and offered a glass of local wine on the balcony overlooking the valley. Their hospitality immediately melted away the stress of our day.||The room itself left us speechless: perched high above Şirince with sweeping views of the valley, a romantic glass-walled bathtub, and a candlelit atmosphere that felt straight out of Bridgerton. It was intimate, regal, and magical.||The food was another highlight. Breakfast in the garden was a feast of fresh, organic ingredients, lovingly prepared right beside the dining area. One morning I asked if they had sucuk (Turkish spicy sausage), and even though it wasn’t on the menu, they went out of their way to buy some just for us. That kind of personal touch is rare, and it made us feel incredibly special.||Dinner was equally unforgettable. The garden transforms into a romantic setting with incredible food and impeccable service. Our server, Tavit, was charming, spoke perfect English, and quickly felt like a friend. Later, we discovered he was the owner’s son — which explained the warm, family-like atmosphere that radiates throughout the hotel.||Exploring the grounds was a joy in itself. The property feels like a small village, with unique rooms scattered among gardens, a peaceful pool that felt more like a friend’s gathering than a hotel amenity, and secret paths (marked by red arrows) leading down to Şirince.||On our last morning, we needed an early ride to the airport. Müjde Tönbekici, one of the co-owners, personally helped arrange our taxi and welcomed us like family. Meeting her made it clear how much love and soul she has poured into this place.|I know this is a long review, but weeks later I’m still thinking about our time here. As a gay couple, we also want to highlight how safe, comfortable, and genuinely welcomed we felt — which meant the world to us.||What was supposed to be just a stopover became the highlight of our journey. Nişanyan Hotel is more than a hotel — it’s an experience full of soul, heart, and magic. We cannot wait to return and will recommend it to everyone we know.||✨ If you want to feel truly immersed in history, nature, and intimacy, this is the place for you. ✨

This hotel is lovely and every detail you could wish for is taken care of. We were given an upgraded room and found ourselves in Kumes Palas. This is a fully equipped apartment complete with cooking and washing facilities. I even found a small lavender bag under my pillow. So thoughtful ! And I could go on. The food is excellent largely locally sourced. Both my breakfast and evening meal were of high quality.|Convenient for visiting Ephesus and tucked high up a hillside so very picturesque.

I absolutely love Nişanyan Evleri Hotel. It’s truly something special. The location is peaceful and beautifully tucked away, offering a quiet escape surrounded by nature. The style and vibe of the hotel are unmatched, full of charm, character, and so many thoughtful details that make it feel incredibly cozy and welcoming. The people here are kind, warm, and always helpful, which adds so much to the overall experience. The breakfast is excellent, fresh, delicious, and served with care in a lovely setting. One of my favorite parts is the swimming pool. It’s beautiful, peaceful, and the walk to get there feels magical, surrounded by nature and greenery. It’s like stepping into another world. It’s not just a hotel, it’s an experience full of heart. Highly recommended for anyone looking for tranquility, beauty, and a unique, soulful stay.

This was an experience. I chose this hotel for its natural setting in the middle of nature and as a treat to myself to just "chill-out" meaning seeing the immediate surroundings...Sirince village, a 4.50 mile hike, taking a dip in the pool and relaxing by it, walking the village, and just enjoying the beautiful, unique and serene hotel with old-world authentic charm. Oh! and of course the delicious culinary food here! Fantastic staff. This is a low-key, sophisticated yet unpretentious setting. Certainly with a relaxing air about it here. Comfortable bed, and my room had a small sitting area. All very clean. I booked directly with hotel. ||(For my trip I decided to book a stay in Selcuk afterwards and use that town as my Ephesus base.)||I simply don't understand why some gave such low reviews. Do they not research ahead? The hotel and the environs are all obviously and clearly presented online including on the hotel website and travel apps and travel articles. This is not a super-modern contemporary box-style hotel that is everywhere in the world. This is a comfortable elegant understated old-world feel hotel with relaxing, friendly vibes. And yes, there are lots of steps and stairs and uneven walkways because it is all in nature and with an old-world authentic feel and much of it hand-constructed. ||An interesting history here and you might want to read the website bio ahead of time.||If I ever come back to the region, I will stay here again.

So picturesque, a magical experience for us. The views, the history, the marble swimming pool, the engaging staff. The hotel was so interesting with a real personal touch. It is in a steep area so if you have mobility issues probably not for you but for everyone else if you want a gorgeous experience then head up the hill to this unique hotel.

Nişanyan Houses is a real gem! The houses are on a hill overlooking the village of Sirince in a very quiet spot immersed in nature. The houses have an authentic feel. The personnel is very friendly and make you feel at home. You will be treated to a full Turkish breakfast and the restaurant is also very good for dinner. It is a good base to visit the historical sites around: Ephesus, Magnesia, Priene, Miletus, Didima. Pamukkale is two hours drive. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for peace away from the crowds or to rest by the pool after a long sightseeing day! I will be back.
