Nishi Poke & Ramen Bistro

Pretty good poke bowl, but portions not very big. Fish quality could have been better, though. I got the 3 scoop protein, but recommend the 5 if you're really hungry! I wished they gave more ginger and that the wasabi was on the side instead of in the bowl. I also got a side of kimchee that was good!

The service, food and atmosphere here are amazing. Ample parking even during lunch hour. The poke was fresh and they give you plenty of toppings! Although the bowl was plenty of food, I saw the musubi on the menu and also had to grab that! It was favorable and the spam very well cooked and crunchy- whoever thought that was possible??!? If you are looking for a nice lunch to remind you or a trip to Hawaii/Japan they have great offerings and good vibes.

The best vegetarian ramen. Delicious creamy yet vegan broth. Crisp grilled veggies in it. Yummy. They also do poke bowls with a little bar where you choose what goes in the bowl.

I wasn’t expecting much from a poke spot in a strip mall, but this place surprised me. The fish was super fresh, and they give you lots of mix-ins without extra charges. I also tried their spicy tonkotsu ramen, and it was flavorful with a rich broth and soft egg. The interior is small but cute and clean. Friendly staff and fast service

Authentic and large portions. Just what we needed to satisfy our ramen craving. This place boils their broth for a minimum of 24 hours. The atmosphere is comfortable with plenty of seating and nice music playing. Thank you.

I came to this restaurant because it was in the Los Angeles vlog of a k-pop idol/celebrity named V aka Kim Taehyung. This time we tried the chicken karaage and spam musubi which my kid both loved (especially the spam musubi because it had a piece of tamago egg on top). Definitely adding to my list of new faves for 2025. Had the poke too and wouldn't mind ordering that again. Love that crawfish is an option and taste wise was better than expected. Planning on going back to try the ramen next time!

I order take out poke from here at least once a week (i do get funds from work but i would order from here regardless). I haven't been here in person so can't comment on service or the physical restaurant. I always order build your own poke and they are always consistent. There are so many topping options and they are very generous. You get up to three fish and "premium" toppings that would typically be extra at other stores are included in the base price (except avocado). These include crab meat, seaweed salad, and tamago. These fish and veggies are always fresh. Highly recommend!!

Downgrade to 3 stars from 5 stars. Loved this place for 5-6 years but went in for dinner: You order at the counter, they bring the food to you. Ok. But then besides the ramen all the food was brought out in to go containers. Like eating fries out of a cardboard box when you wanted to eat out with your family, I don't know, like was a plate too much work? Bento box same thing. We have to get our own silverware. Ok. About how I remember it last time. But now it's only plastic forks only? Also no music on in the background, TV wasn't on. Just pretty depressing dine in experience. Metal forks. Plates for the dine in food. Little things that could help.

This place is extremely low quality. The pork is dry, the noodles are mushy and poorly made (you'd be better off with packaged Ramen), and their broth taste like toilet water. It really is that bad. Go ANYWHERE else. I'm afraid I'm going to get sick if I finish my meal.

Disclaimer: I've never dined it, always ordered delivery in the morning. Pros: Open early - I start work early in the AM and my lunch usually starts at 9:30am/10am and this is the only place that's open that serves sushi/poke. Fish is fresh and poke bowl is simple, with not a lot of crazy toppings or sauces (which is how I prefer it). Cons: Portion sizes are small for the price, even their Large poke bowl. They always forgot an order, whether it's an appetizer, a handroll or spam musubi.

We were looking for something open early before our flight home and found this place. It was quick service and friendly staff. For quick service the food was good. We loved the spicy miso broth and Poke was good too. This place was just what we were looking for!

I was craving poke and discovered this spot! I got poke and my mom got the chicken ramen. My poke bowl was pretty good, fish was fresh and it had nice garnishes. Honestly, my mom's ramen was the star. The broth had such rich flavor.

Every single time I have came here it has tasted amazing. The employees are so sweet and welcoming to my family and I whenever we walk in. The place has so much space, and one of my favorite parts is that there is no crowd of people ever inside. It's always calm and spacious. The ramen is delicious and the staff is amazing. My friends and I love this spot! The food is always delicious and the people who work here are always very kind. I have built my own poke bowl every time I have come (probably roughly 5ish times), and it is always delicious. I love the Hawaiian salmon and tuna, and I think this is my favorite poke spot on the west side currently. A friend got the fried sesame chicken bento box and I tried a bite of the chicken - it was AMAZING. I might have to order it in the future! The flavor was great. This is a great spot for an easy meal to either eat in or take out. Love coming here!

Great food, fast service and great price! We have been several times now, and always a great experience.

My friend and I ordered takeout from Nishi not long ago because we were both craving ramen, and this place isn't far from her place. We set our pickup time for early evening and our food was ready before we arrived. This restaurant does have a small parking lot, but I managed to find a spot while I stopped inside. I would be nervous to come here any later than we did because there were so few spots. The vibe inside looks like a casual place for a comforting meal. My friend and I both ordered the tonkotsu ramen. Their menu is simple, with more room for customization when you order poke, but you can always get more add-ons as you please. The broth was good! It definitely hit the spot and wasn't overly salty. The toppings were average to us, with lots of greens we don't always have when eating ramen. The only reason I'm giving Nishi two stars is because we both got food poisoning from here despite our really pleasant meal She and I hadn't seen each other for a while, had not shared any other foods other than that ramen, and it happened around the same time for us, so we figured it had to be from here. We both enjoyed our meal and had agreed that we were open to ordering more from Nishi for a future hangout, but we're not so sure anymore. Overall, really delicious tonkotsu, but I will pass on my side of food poisoning next time.

First time having poke from here (via DoorDash delivery) and it was delicious! I got the albacore, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and Hawaiian salmon. For sauces, I chose eel sauce, spicy mayo, and spicy ponzu. Considering that it's poke, I was actually very pleased with the large bowl portions. I've often found that poke bowls from other places aren't filling enough, but my large bowl was hearty and in my opinion had good balance/ratios (i.e. fine portions of fish and toppings, not just a ton of rice). Thank you for NOT skimping on portions on a delivery order. The food was delicious and my tummy is happy!

The food is amazing! Especially the poke. Price is competitive and the chasu fries and tuna crispy rice was also scrumptious!!! Service is amazing and this place deserves more love and business. Ambience was also immaculate. I will be a regular here until I move far away

I was really sad when I realized the sushi rice was cold. Everything else tasted fine but I did think it was odd they didn't mix the fish up in sauce first before putting over the base. They just put all ingredients in the bowl and then drizzled sauce over it. Cold rice was most disappointing.

Food, service, and ambiance is good. It was a little overpriced for some fries and pork but generously served I will say :) If you are on a budget, I don't really recommend but def worth stopping by for these chashu fries at some point

Ordered the spicy miso ramen. Huge pictures in the wall of the different bowls. MISLEADING because it does NOT come with ramen egg. That's extra.... It's clearly sitting right on top of your display. MEH

I haven't been here in awhile but when I came here last Sunday. I've forgotten how delicious this place was. They have the most delicious rolls! Their karaage was crispy hot juicy delicious and they have the best poke!

I recently had lunch at Nishi Poke and Ramen Bistro and ordered the spicy ramen. It was absolutely delicious! I've been here before and found the food fantastic! I'll be back - I'm not from the area, but my daughter and family live within walking distance. Thank you for serving up truly magnificent food at a fair price - highly unusual in today's restaurant scene!!!

Stopped in here for lunch with a friend and we were very pleased with the quality of the food and the attentiveness of our server. We both had a build your own Poké bowl. It was fantastic. Highly recommend it.

After passing this place so many times and saying to myself, "I have to try that spot" I'm so glad I did. There are a ton of Ramen places but this place is truly a hidden gem. I enjoyed the very fresh and tasty veggie Ramen. The great part about it was it was still hot when I got home! I also had the California roll. There is also a cozy sitting area if you decide to dine in.

I love poke and always looking for new places to bookmark. Spent all day at The Getty and needed some serious fuel, so ramen and chashu fries for me at Nishi's. Before heading out, I had called to ask if there was a place for me to charge my phone while I ate. The person on the phone said, "yes"! After placing my order, I looked for the outlet and didn't see any? I was a bit pissed because of what the person on the phone told me, so the chef in the back let me plug my phone on his personal cable. Great save! Ramen was nice and hot, but it would have been nice to have some extra seasonings that I usually find at other ramen joints (spicy anyone) Then there are the CHASHU FRIES! OMGoodness! This was the BOMB! Hot, crispy, flavorful, spicy. So delicious!!! Will definitely be coming back with friends!!!

Typically, we go to three (ugh) places to meet our varying tastes for lunch or dinner - one for sushi, one for ramen, and one for poke. But no more because this place offers them all without sacrificing quality! I ordered... Vegetarian ramen - 5 stars. Loved the taste and portion. Comes with sesame miso broth, broccoli, tofu, corn, bean sprouts, spring mix, and sesame oil Large salmon poke - 3 stars. The flavors were good but the serving was small for a large size California rolls (2 orders) - 4 stars. Standard fare but my kid loved it and the price was fair. More than anything, I appreciate that all of these items are offered in one spot. It's a small space and we ordered to go to eat at a nearby park. We'll come back

Nishi is my go-to poke place. Any time I'm craving poke, I know Nishi won't disappoint. Service is friendly, attentive, and helpful. Since I've been here so many times, I can attest to how reliable this place is in freshness and availability of fish. My favorites to order: half white rice half mixed greens, 3 scoops protein (2 salmon, 1 crawfish) crab salad (free), unlimited veggies (cucumber, seaweed salad, edamame, corn, onions), and eel sauce/spicy mayo/sesame oil. Amazing 10/10!!!

It was a pretty good poke bowl. Came to about $20 because I ordered the large (5 quite small scoops o fish) with avo. Lots of toppings included which is great. I was bummed because I ordered my sauce on side and they forgot to put in the bag. I love sauce so this made my overall experience less than desired. Convenient and clean spot but there's a few others nearby that are a bit less pricey I'd probably choose first. The fish was good but not amazing, although a decent enough choice for poke in west LA.

Stopped by looking for some Poke nearby to work. Restaurant is inside a small strip mall and has parking in front. The Restaurant was clean and staff were friendly. I ordered a sushi roll and poke bowl. The poke bowl was good. My only issue is that for the price $20, the protein amounts are small. The veggies amounts seemed small as well (which I am not used to). Then when you ask for more they tell you they cant give you more. Cucumbers, edamame, crab, etc. I was a little surprised by this for the price point. While I was waiting for my roll, I noticed other people surprised by the serving sizes too so it made me think I wasnt tripping. The roll, one roll took more than 15 mins to make, seemed a little long but luckily I had time to wait. With all that said, the food was delicious. Just not sure I would go again based on price point for what you get.

I have stopped by this place twice and each visit has been a great experience. On my first visit I had 3 sushi rolls and they were tasty and fresh. I usually go to their location in Culver City for Ramen, but I am now officially hooked to this location. Today I stopped by to get a poke bowl. Their bowl did not disappoint. I didn't really know what to get, and the young worker helped me create a bowl. I did a regular bowl with Hawaiian salmon, spicy tuna and imitation crab, I added all the sides as possible and Mayo sauce and it was yummy. My only negative comment is regarding parking. Their parking structure is a bit small so I had to drive around the neighborhood to find parking.

Ramen was great and pretty affordable. Friendly service. Plenty of free parking in front. Open at 8 am but not serving anything other than breakfast burrito type items until 9 am.

Solid veggie ramen . The tofu was very silky , not firm so you'd have to like silky tofu to appreciate it . The broth itself was nice . Not overly salty and lots of flavor . The broccoli on top was mushy - but I was able to just pick it off. The customer service was friendly and helpful with recommendations . Am I dying to go back ? No but was it a satisfying bowl of ramen and hit the spot for a Sunday ramen craving ? Yep !

These days when I crave poke, I head straight to Nishi Poke. The pricing and the amount of toppings you get is a really good deal in comparison to other poke places in the area. I also tried the chicken karaage (fried chicken) and gyoza (dumplings) which I thought were just ok. I haven't tried the ramen yet, maybe I will one day but I think this is my go-to poke spot. Parking is pretty easy, there is a private lot that is a bit tight but convenient. Service is always good, you can call in an order for pick up as well. I might actually go tomorrow now that I'm writing this.

I love this place - might be my favorite poke spot in west LA! The fish is always fresh, they always give good portions, and the flavor of the marinades and sauces is the best compared to other poke spots. Also love that you get unlimited toppings after you choose your protein. If you're looking for a poke spot this place won't disappoint. They also have a pretty nice seating area inside if you're looking to dine in.

Clean poke/ramen place with a parking lot! The restaurant is more of a fast-casual type of place so the interior is bit small. There's a dining area off to the right of the place but there are only about a handful of tables. We came for the poke and you can choose between "Hawaiian" or regular. Hawaiian basically means it's pre-marinated, which is what I opted for. You get to build your own bowl but if that's a little overwhelming for you, you can start with the pre-selected items on the board and customize off of that. I would say the fish here is fresh and they give you plenty of toppings for your bowl. Nishi Poke is a solid spot for poke. Maybe I'll check out their ramen next time!

Stumbled across this poke place while stuck in traffic. Glad we stopped. The food was fresh, so delicious. Service was good.

Ordered via Postmates with a colleague. Got 3 poke bowls with spicy tuna crispy rice and kimchi fried rice. The food was delicious, the taste and texture of the poke was awesome. Not sure if it was because we ordered to go, but Our order got messed up. We both requested masago on our poke bowls and received a slice of Tamago instead. We thought that was hilarious. They also did not include the seaweed salad we ordered. I would most definitely order from here again. Will make sure to say a prayer before, but the food was well worth the mistakes.

Small but sufficient parking lot, nice staff and a decently sized seating area. I came in after the movies and this little build your own bowl hit the spot - lots of options for toppings.

My family and I have been coming to this location for the Ramen for years. My daughter loves the sushi and the poke is pretty decent. They are a friendly and accommodating staff. Never been disappointed with their food. They have recently just begun serving breakfast burritos and smash burgers. They taste excellent have a good and simple flavor. it's a good addition to this spot. I've also been to the other locations in the locations are great even though they don't have Ramen and sushi at every spot. I encourage anybody to try this place out. It's hidden gem. They have really good portions and decent prices.

I live with a ramen addict so Nishi Poke & Ramen is where we go when I don't feel like eating another ramen meal. Nishi is located in a mini-mall on Overland, south of Pico. It's counter service, so you order and receive a number which you take to your table (or counter space) of choice. If you're not sure what to order, Nishi offers signature poke bowls, in addition to the build-your-own bowl option. A small ($10.95) gives you three scoops of fish, a large($12.95) four scoops, on top of your choice of base (white rice, brown rice, chips or mixed greens). There are a variety of toppings - from the usual edamame and cucumbers, to the more unusual seaweed salad and pineapple. Dry toppings, like crispy garlic, furikake and sesame seeds, are available to finish off your bowl. Nishi also has signature ramen bowls. My daughter, who is a ramen maniac, always gets the tonkotsu ramen ($10.50), which has pork chashu, spinach, cabbage, bean sprouts, seaweed and green onions. I like that spinach is actually included, as opposed to being an extra charge). For a small place, Nishi's menu is pretty extensive, with rolls, fried rice, dumplings and bento boxes as well. The food is always fresh and tasty and we always polish off our bowls. It may not be the best ramen or best poke, but the best ramen and poke under one roof? I'll say yes!

Had super high expectations of this place as it's one of the very few poke places with good reviews. The day I went it was completely empty so I was helped right away. The guy who took my order was not welcoming and seemed very much annoyed. I ordered a small bowl which comes with 3 protein choices & whatever else you want to add in. The total came to about $30 for two bowls. The main reason I came here was because I had seen cheaper prices compared to other places. Not sure why this place has such good reviews because I was unsatisfied with my bowl. Very small portions that left both my bf & I hungry and both the hawaiian salmon & spicy tuna lacked spiciness, flavor and did not taste fresh. Overall, very average & nothing special to this place so I won't be coming back & do not recommend it. Poke: 3/10 Service: 5/10

I visit Steve at his poke shop 3-4 times a week on the way home from work in Beverly Hills. Best bang for buck in LA! I've eaten at so many poke places in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood and none compare. Nishi Poke & Ramen Bistro uses a high grade of sushi which tastes amazing (no stringy pieces, no bones) and is always fresh, cold and consistent. Thanks for staying open during Covid. I hope you can stay open during these tough economic times. Thanks Steve!

Onolicious (delicious) poke bowls! Got brown rice, mixed greens, 3 scoops Hawaiian salmon, seaweed, spicy cucumber... Broke da mouth (very tasty)! Close to Beverly Hills. Prices were good. Food was still swimmin (very fresh). Friendly service. Small place with around 30 seats. Coming back for the ramen

Poke and Ramen....can it get any better? I brought the family here and was greeted by a what my wife thought was a handsome guy and a beautiful woman, who according to my wife and daughter looked like K-Drama stars. The man was well coiffured making me wonder who he went to to get his haircut. They seemed like the owners here. They were very friendly and helpful in helping us and giving us suggestion on what to order. We tried the tonkotsu ramen, spicy miso ramen, and the chashu fries. I like that they use thick noodles here for their ramen. Both the tonkotsu ramen and spicy miso broths, cooked for 24 hours, had a great flavor in their own way. The chashu is thicker than any chashu that I have been served at any other ramen restaurant. Their chashu had a nice carmelization on it, almost as if it was blowtorched like they do at a ramen restaurant in the Bay Area. The Chashu fries came with kimchi, thick cut steak fries, a fried egg and their special sauce. It was delicious. My daughter almost finished the fries by herself. The K-Drama stars were nice and they checked up on us several times during our meal. They even filled our water cups for us as we were eating. Service was great throughout the meal. The ramen so far has not disappointed. One day I will have to go back and try the Poke. Everything looked so fresh! After a couple of visits, I can say that Nishi is a great place. My wife and daughter want to return soon so that they can see more of the K-drama stars.
