"The Nishinos’ creed is to take the time and effort to get the food and service right. The couple makes pleasant conversation as they serve at the counter. At Taian the chef learned to cook in front of customers, kappo-style; at Ajikitcho, he learned how food is prepared at traditional Japanese restaurants. The meal ends with takikomi-gohan and white rice, for maximum satisfaction. The proprietress’ devotion to gracious service shines as she urges customers to ask for second helpings of rice on the house." - Michelin Inspector

What an experience! Perfectly curated dishes to give you a wild variety of tastes, textures and aromas from Japanese cuisine. A peaceful space lets you observe culinary masters at their craft while they give you insight into their process and passion. A night we won't forget! Arigatō gozaimasu!

We planned the final dinner of our 2-week trip at Nishino and it definitely was the most special meal of our time in Japan! The setting is intimate but sophisticated; service is stellar and friendly. So much care and attention to detail went into each beautiful and delicious course. The beef course was our favorite - so incredibly tender and flavourful. The dessert was spectacular - light and refreshing but very flavourful.

Dined here on December 30th. Absolutely spectacular kaiseki experience. The service and ambiance were immaculate. The food was unique and delicious. After the meal the chef and hostess made an effort to chat with us (via Google translate) to ask us about our experience and the rest of our trip in Japan. The highlight of our two week trip and we will definitely return the next time we are in Osaka.

Went for the dinner course — I can understand why they have a Michelin star but I do feel the food lacks a bit of soul - some things felt flavorless and it took about 3 hours to go through the 11 (smaller) courses. Overall, I came out happy but not truly impressed for the full price of 30k yen. The service was very good and the chef was nice.

My husband chose this place for our omakase dinner to celebrate our Honeymoon. The food was amazing and we had the best time dining in this restaurant. The lady boss and boss were very welcoming to us. We highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for high quality food and good customer service. We will be back again next time when we visit Osaka!

Dined in this restaurant several times. The dishes are very unique and delicious. Chef and his staff are very courteous and meticulous explaining to dinners every dish they serve. Worthy of dinning there again.

The beef cutlet and mackerel sushi were two of the best bites we’ve eaten on this trip to Japan. We were a trio of Americans, the only group in the restaurant for this meal. The hostess eventually broke the ice over google translate and we had such a fun experience conversing back and forth with her and the chef!

Everything about the dinner was fantastic. And the intimate small atmosphere felt like a private chef was cooking for you
