A very lovely beach, with a clear turquoise sea, breathtaking local atmosphere, and easy access for all swimming abilities. Lifeguards were on site throughout the day, which is always reassuring, with toilets and outdoor shower facilities also available.

As a solo traveler, I absolutely fell in love with this beach. It’s stunning—fine white sand, silky smooth water, and a charming little island right in front that adds to the breathtaking scenery. Even though the beach gets crowded, I found it surprisingly easy to navigate and enjoy. The central area is free to access, and there are a couple of bazaars selling umbrellas and other essentials. On the left side (facing the islet), there’s a municipal beach where I rented an umbrella and sunbed for just 2.5 euros for the entire day. I arrived around 9 AM and managed to snag a front-row spot, but there were plenty of umbrellas available even later in the day. Parking was convenient and free, right in front of the beach, except for a small fee area belonging to a hotel. On the left side, I noticed hotel umbrellas available for rent, though I didn’t check the price. The beach has a lively vibe, with a few bars scattered along the shore. One of them started playing music and hosting DJ sets around 5 PM, and I stumbled upon a foam party one afternoon, which was a fun surprise. A short walk from the parking lot, I discovered a Zorbas cafeteria bakery, perfect for grabbing sandwiches and snacks at reasonable prices. In front of the islet, there’s also an area for water sports if you’re feeling adventurous. What I loved most, though, was the path that continued along the rocks on both sides of the beach. It’s well-paved and leads to a series of other beaches, making for a peaceful and scenic solo walk. This place truly has everything—relaxation, beauty, and a bit of excitement when you want it.

Nissi beach is a beautiful beach located 40-50 minutes by car from Larnaca. Fine sand, clear turquoise water, as in the ads, smooth entry into the water. We visited the beach in the off-season, in December, but there were still quite a few brave people entering the water. Since it was the off-season, the terraces and beach bars were closed, so I can't say much about the facilities, but it is a top beach in Cyprus.

Nissi beach is one of our favorite beaches in Cyprus. It is beautiful, with white sand and turquoise water. The small sandy island just a short wading distance away gives the beach its own character. The beach has all the necessary services, but it is also very popular. So I would not necessarily enjoy Nissi beach in July and August, when it is completely full of sunbathers. The surrounding area is full of hotels - thus don't expect natural state beach.

Way too crowded even in October + there is sooo much sea grass in the water that it’s really not enjoyable to swim… the beach bars are fine, sunbeds as well (8eur for a set). Will be looking for a better beach during our stay.

I recently (Nov. 2024) swam there. Nicely colored water, no big waves although a bit windy, and no apparent undertow. On its western end people walked across a shallow knee-deep part of the beach (where a loud beach bar plays Greek sentimental pop songs) to an "island" with good lookouts. But on one day I encountered jellyfish twice while swimming. The lifeguard told me that this is not uncommon at this beach, and tried to easy the stingy bites with a sort of pen (did not help, vinegard helped though back in the apartment).

The best beach in Cyprus! It’s very shallow, making it perfect for children. The water is warm, and the sand is smooth from the tides. It feels safe enough to leave your phone behind. There are a lot of people, so you need to arrive before 10:00 to get your own sunbed. A sunbed costs 2 euros. There are also elite sunbeds, two sunbeds and a table for 30 euros.

A ‘famous’ but overcrowded beach in Agia Napa. Best part is the island that you can get to by walking through the water. The bay has a few bars / restaurants. The beach is sandy but be careful, there are several sharp rocks too.
