Overall, it was a pretty good meal—authentic and flavorful. We visited during weekend dinner hours, and although there were many empty tables, we were told to sit at the bar facing the wall, which felt a bit unwelcoming.
We asked for a small adjustment to our beef noodles—combining the mustard greens from two portions into one bowl—but the waiter didn’t seem happy to accommodate. The beef noodles had a solid, authentic Taiwanese flavor, though they were on the salty side. Cutting back on the salt and serving the beef in thicker chunks would bring it closer to the traditional style. The three-cup chicken was also enjoyable, but leaned too sweet compared to the more balanced, savory version you’d expect.
One other thing to note: the meal was a bit pricey for what it was. While the food was generally good, the overall value didn’t quite match the cost.
