This attorney makes a mess of cases and never actually shows up to trial. Leslie is the devil but her associate Lynda is worse. She never follows direction like, “don’t file that. That’s a false statement.” Apparently having that instruction, in writing is not clear enough for Leslie or Lynda to understand. then when you fire them and move on to a competent attorney, so they both get butthurt and go on a giant smear campaign, running around to every attorney that you try to hire to replace them telling them how incompetent you are when she was the one who couldn’t follow very simple instructions like, “do the best you can with what you have. We will be in trial on Tuesday. I don’t want to continue it, I can’t afford it.” Also too many words for Leslie or Lynda who don’t think that they work for you. Just so you’re clear, you work for them and pay them for the privilege. They don’t have to follow anything you ask them to do and then if you bow out, they get to run around slandering you and impacting your case, family, and life.

My X-Wife & I wanted to handle our divorce in an amicable way in order to keep legal fees down. My X hired Niven & informed me that we would both be have access to their services. I have left numerous messages with their service and made many phone calls. I have not received a reply call. At the very least where's the professionalism for a return call or text, there is none. If you call on a Friday don't expect anything. I have received answering service every time and still no reply. Don't waste your time here look for a firm that has general business etiquette, the type that will call you back. I would not recommend Niven & Niven to handle any of your legal matters. One star because you can't rate zero.

Its unfortionate i had to give any stars to write my experience with this Leslie and her paralegal Linda. Very unorganized, sending out documents on other cases to me and I'm sure charging the other person for their mistake. Leslie decided that at 10;00 P.M. she WASNT going to represent me at for MY HEARING THE FOLLOWING MORNING. She told me whatever I wanted to hear to retain her, and after $20,000 did nothing. Found out she continued a hearing that did not benefit me. I was forced to get another attorney and when they went to go get my file, the file was completely, unorganized where it cost me another $4000.00 for the next attorney to put it together and continue my case. Horrible staff, you'll be running around for her and her assistant Linda at the last minute. Very unprofessional and rude.

Leslie and her staff were wonderful to work with. She has put together our family trust, along with powers of attorney, medical directives & pour-over wills. She is knowledgeable & fair priced. I have piece of mind knowing that my estate will be taken care of if anything should happen to us. She also recently brought my mother's trust and important paperwork up to date.
