18 Weird, Wondrous Places for Wine-Lovers Around the Globe

"You may be upset to learn that the Okanagan Desert, home of the Osoyoos Indian Band and billed as Canada’s “only desert,” in fact receives too much rainfall to qualify as a desert. The Osoyoos-owned Nk’Mip Cellars is, however, North America’s first Indigenous-owned winery. The Band owns 32,000 acres of rugged, undulating hills dotted with salty-green shrubbery, just north of the Canadian-U.S. border. It’s one of the driest and hottest corners of Canada. Of this lot, some 1,350 acres are dedicated to growing grapes, a tradition that began in 1968.  While the Band has maintained vineyards for decades, selling grapes to wineries around lower British Columbia, the opening of Nk’Mip Cellars in 2002 represented the Band taking ownership of the full process. Indigenous winemakers now showcase their skills as enologists and vignerons through a class of Pinot Noirs, Merlots, Chardonnays, and a series of blends. The wines are available in their winery as well as next door at the Spirit Ridge Resort’s restaurant, The Bear, The Fish, The Root, and the Berry, which specializes in Indigenous cuisine and boasts a stunning view of Osoyoos Lake framed by handsome mountains.  An Indigenous-owned winery producing award-winning wines from a desert-like landscape, Nk’Mip Cellars upends conceptions of Canadian culture in the best way possible." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

We had an excellent wine tasting experience at Nk'Mip Cellars! The wines were outstanding—beautifully crafted with great variety and depth. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable, making the whole visit even more enjoyable. A must-visit for any wine lover!

Google
Food was good, had the mussels which were quite small, wondering if they were freshwater but still tasty, tried their bannock, very good. Their pitcher of sangria was lovely! Great outdoor patio and view, provided nice umbrellas when it got too hot to sit under the sun. Made reservations but likely don’t need to as we saw other tables free for lunch.

Tara Ciecko

Google
I will start by saying that the food was excellent. However, everything else during our experience was not. We arrived for our 1pm reservation, we received water and our order was taken. After 30 minutes I had to go ask for more water and we did not receive our drinks - wine and beer - until 1:45. And only because I went to ask. We had placed our food order at the same time. We had to ask about our food at 2:15. When it finally came, the food was delicious. One item did not arrive. One bill was incorrect. The view was exceptional. After 2.5 hours with no manager, and no explanation, the experience only deserves a one star rating because the food was very good.

Google
Good food, really nice view, TERRIBLE SERVICE. WE ASKED FOR FRONT TABLES FOUR TIMES, but they all rejected saying that they are reserved for other group. However, one of the tables were left empty during the whole time we stayed and they gave away other three spots to other people, WHEN WE ALSO MADE OUR RESERVATION AND ASKED FOR FRONT TABLES. I used to be a part-time server for the past 8-9 yrs. I don’t understand their reasonings and it was really disappointing to see such poor service, attitudes and servers. If they had good service, I’d gladly return - but unfortunately no…

Google
We enjoyed a wonderful lunch of wild rice & bean bowl and fish tacos, with an excellent bottle of Dreamcatcher wine that went down too easily at a magnificent table on the grass terrace overlooking the town, lake, and vineyards with service (Bart's) that was easy and understated. A world-class experience all around. Thanks, Nk'Mip Cellars - you helped turn our two-day Osoyoos vacation into something so unexpectedly pleasant and sophisticated!

Nice property in Osoyoos with lots of building development on the winery grounds. There is a lovely tasting room with friendly staff and both a basic and premium tasting option. Worth a visit!

Google
The Sweethearts dinner was fantastic. Absolutely delicious food with excellent presentation. The wine pairings were perfect. The quiet music and valley view provided the perfect atmosphere. Thank you to everyone involved in creating the perfect evening.

Google
100% perfect experience. We went for the Four Food Chiefs Prix Fixe, with wine pairing experience on the patio. The view was spectacular. Our server, Mallory, we exemplary! I don't have the words to describe how amazing the dinner was. The few menu items that I don't usually like but was prepared to try anyway, I devoured with gusto. And, of course, the wine pairings were perfection. 5 stars is nowhere near enough.

Yelp
My family and I have camped down at the campsite down below and always enjoy when we go into the tasting room. Previous years I was not as crazy about there wines but this year I was very impressed and be a fan. I loved the Merlot and Rose. My husband loves the dream catcher but it's too sweet for me. This last visit we went just for some appetizers and a glass of wine on the patio while we waited for our group to arrive. This was the first time getting food here and it was delicious!! We got the burrata on sourdough with roasted butternut squash and the crispy miso potatoes. Both were incredible! They were both so unique but amazing we couldn't put them down! Only con for this place is we all had weird experiences with the host. They take reservations very seriously and wouldn't let two members join our tasting when they were running late and said they had no availability when the place was dead empty. We also had another experience where they almost didn't let us join our family on the patio because we didn't have enough time before our tasting reservation even when we said we weren't ordering anything. Hopefully they loosen up with the unnecessary rules because otherwise it would have been a perfect trip.

Yelp
Nk'mip Cellars is the first Indigenous-owned winery in North America on the centuries-old home of the Osoyoos Indian Reserve. Surrounded by mountains and lakes, the desert-like climate of Osoyoos is the driest and hottest place in the country and the patio restaurant at the winery boasts stunning views of all of it.

Yelp
Nk'Mip Cellars (pronounced Inkameep) is an indigenous owned winery in Osoyoos. We booked a premium tasting and every staff member working there were friendly and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the White Meritage and the Red Meritage. Proceeds of the tastings go towards the the Nk'Mip Cultural Centre towards the preservation of the Native Okanagan language.

Yelp
iIf you know what wine you want it is not worth while doing a wine tasting here. We had a relatively new lady doing the pouring and Loyd was providing details on the various wines. They have a non-refundable tasting fee. We always share a wine tasting as my husband likes red and I like white. Sharing a tasting generally gives us enough wine to have a good idea of what we like. The pours at Nk-mip are very small and since they charge a tasting fee we feel that we just do not get value for the money. We know the wines that we like and find it easier to just purchase the wine. There are far better wine tasting experiences to be had in the Okanagan

Yelp
Delish wine, stunning views and a great outside eating area, I would say this is a must before heading back to the US if visiting. Things to work on would include Staffing staying focused and on task. Staffing not just stepping away and basically "dropping" you after the final taste. Closing of the sale was a bit more complex than it needed to be. The wines were delish and we bought a we bottles. Will come back to explore in more detail at a later date as there seems to be more to check out

Yelp
Nk'Mip Cellars (pronounced Inkameep) was our first stop on our winery tour. The moment I stepped into the winery, I was impressed; the place was beautiful and bright, and the employee who served us (Lorne, if I remember correctly), was very friendly and informative. The first two samples are complimentary, and an additional four samples are $3. (Wines from their QwAM QwMT Tasting Gallery are $10 to sample.) I tried the Dreamcatcher, Rose, Talon, and the Mer'r'iym. I enjoyed them all, and I had a tough time deciding which one to purchase. In the end, I bought a bottle of the Dreamcatcher, as well as a jar of their Fire and Ice Wine Jelly. (They had an amazing selection of spreads, and if my budget allowed, I would have bought everything!) We didn't have the time or budget to try out the restaurant, but if I ever have the opportunity to visit the area again, I'd love to have lunch there. And of course I will buy more wine! [Yelp collections: Wine Time!]

Yelp
Nk'Mip Cellars is a winery within the Nk'Mip Resort Area. This resort is totally tribal and the Chief Clarence Louie has really done his tribe well. This is probably one of those rare resorts that doesn't even rely on a casino. It's a well apportioned property and the wine shop is spacious and overlooks Osoyoos. The restaurant tables are arranged on the hill top for some great outdoor dining, although the umbrellas were not out on the sunny day we were there and caused quite a bit of fear of sunburn. The wines themselves are decent and the staff are personable and knowledgeable about the tribe and the wines. It's worth the drive through the Osoyoos town to hit up this resort.

Yelp
This review is only for the wine tasting. And, I truly hate not giving a higher rating. I was really looking forward to a visit and tasting here. However, when you're in a region with lots of wineries to choose from and lots of places with excellent views, the competition is a bit steep. We did the $5 tasting for 5 wines, which was waived with our purchase of their Talon (red wine). We tried their Chardonnay and all 4 red wine options. Nothing of what we tasted was particularly noteworthy or worth trying again. Even as we polished off the bottle of Talon we purchased his evening, I was mostly relieved. It wasn't either smooth or bold, but rather a bit bitter and sharp. In light of the other positive reviews of Nk'Mip, it seems that we really missed out on what's special about this place, but unfortunately I doubt we'll return anytime soon for a second visit.

Yelp
Wonderful, intimate patio restaurant overlooking the valley. My favourite. Compliments to the staff (including Natalie) and chef.

Yelp
Beautiful winery in a touristy resort setting. We arrived a little early for our tasting hoping to get some food in their restaurant. They were booked, so they referred us to the hotel restaurant. The hotel restaurant was "between" meals and we were 15 min too early for the dinner menu so they said we could only order the charcuterie board. It was expensive and not very good. Instead of crackers or warm crusty bread we had grilled, burned bread and only one variety of cheese with a pile of chutney on top of everything. We ordered a glass of the Dreamcatcher to go with it which was a delicious wine. By the time our charcuterie board and wine arrived, however. It was 15 min later and they were seating dinner guests so we could have ordered from the dinner menu! Frustrating that at a touristy resort in the summer you can't get food in between meals. We walked over to our tasting about10 min early and told we had to wait. Once we were led into our tasting the wines had already been poured and we had no choice in what we tasted. The whole idea around tasting is that you taste a few things then buy some bottles to take home. We didn't care for any of the wines that were preselected for the tasting. The reds were too spicy with a bitter aftertaste. Did not buy any wines and the whole "tourist resort" vibe was a turnoff. If the resort had better customer service and also allowed you to taste a wine of your choosing, this would have been a 5 star review. Follow me on IG at @lazyrevel to see what wineries were a standout.

Yelp
Yikes! I was really looking forward to eating here and I have to be honest I was completely disappointed. The food selection isn't great the food just didn't taste good. shrimp in a sauce and a glass of wine was $45. I was disappointed because when I go to a restaurant I expect it to be good and expect the food to be good. My cooking skills are very medium but when I walk out of a restaurant thinking I could do that way better I know that the meal was not good because I'm not a good cook. Very stuffy staff also you walk in there and they make you feel like they're doing you a favour by you eating at their establishment. There's lots of good vineyards out there, tin horn, Hester Creek, burrowing owl and the list goes on and on. I don't think I'd waste my lunch here.

Yelp
Add this to your list of places to spend some extra time at while in Osoyoos! This is a beautiful space, with lots of lovely artisanal crafts for sale, and exceptional wine. The service was above and beyond - we arrived early for our tasting, and there was no issue at all. We loved Patti, our guide through the grapes!
google avatar

Danielle H.

Yelp
Sadly I am underage... but there was beautiful artwork displayed, and the wine tour was beautiful and very in depth. The tour guid (Sharon I believe her name was) went into lots of detail about everything and all of the very important stages of wine making and showed us how everything was done. And yes, there was wine tasting!
google avatar

Yelp
I love supporting indigenous-owned businesses, but this one wins top ratings fair and square! The best meal I've ever had in my life. Even better than my favourite meal in Paris. Charcuterie platter full of local cheeses & wild sage infused pate, followed by entree of grilled sable fish with savoury corn pudding and braised greens. Creme brûlée for dessert. Sophisticated wines. Absolutely outstanding. Stunning views over lush green vineyards and sparkling lake below. This place is world class. It doesn't get much better than this!
google avatar

Jan Dustin G.

Yelp
We came across this during a visit to Osoyoos. The wine bar is decent and clean. The sommelier is an expert at what she does. I love how she told us of the stories and the mixes behind the wines we were tasting. I am happy to partake in their wonderful creations. One taste of the Dreamcatcher wine and we were immediately hooked. The taste is difficult to explain, but I'll just say that they perfected that white wine. Give them a visit and sample their delicious creations. Oh, and the price is just right too. I will buy the Dreamcatcher online!

Yelp
On a sunny summer afternoon I came here with a couple of friends to have a late lunch and enjoy the view from the patio. We sat at Mica's patio, one of the wineries restaurants and have to say was blown away by the view. You can see the entire town of Osoyoos and the lake and the patio also overlooks the swimming pool...more opportunities for people watching. Our server was very friendly and gave us the choice to pick any table. The service was very timely and non-intrusive. I started off with the Chef's salad and then ordered the Duck Confit sandwich with fries. The salad had great presentation but some of the greens were bitter so my only complaint. The duck was cooked to perfection and the pickled beets were a great complement on this sandwich. The fries were also done great and tasted so good even without any condiments. Overall I'll be back again to taste more of this delicious lunch menu!

Yelp
Excellent Wine. Very lovely lady looking after us. ( Janice ) We bought a case. 6 Rose & 6 White. $225. Lovely place. Big patio.

Yelp
You have to go out on the patio that is attached to the tasting room while you are here. You will be rewarded with the most amazing view of the vineyards with the lake and Western mountains as a backdrop. You can taste a lot of the wines at Nm'Mip for free. There are a few that you have to anti-up $2 for. Paying the $3 to taste their Qwam Qwmt Riesling Icewine is worth it, even if you can't afford a $60 375-ml bottle. Qwam Qwmt is their higher line of wines ($24.99 to $34.99). The regular winemaker series($17.99-$22.99) comprises most of their tasting line up. The 2007 Riesling ($18.99) was our favourite. It's sweet, yet there's a balancing acidity that makes it such a reward to sip. There's some shopping to be done here -- in addition to their wines for sale, there is also a selection of jewellery, art, books, wine accessories, glassware and other related products. The Osoyoos Indian Band has a lot going on in very close proximity to the wine shop. In addition to the patio restaurant, there's the Pasa Tempo restaurant, the suites, a golf course, the Desert centre, and just down the street is the campsite and riding stables.

Yelp
This was a first fantastic stop in Okanagan Wine Country. The wine tasting was personable and included some incredible wines, we left with two bottles. Making an earlier reservation for the Patio Restaurant we had a delicious meal outside, with wonderful service while we enjoyed the view overlooking the vineyards. The carrot purée soup was amazing, full of flavor. Couldn't recommend this location more after this first visit.

Yelp
This is a great winery. Go for the Q' Q' Chardonnay and their ice wine. We had lunch on the patio. 5 stars. Yet affordable. What a treat! Lorne

Yelp
Vegetarian's review - Delicious Italian fare with incredible views and friendly service. Kids were given high chairs and coloring pages. I found our waitress a little uptight though. Between us, we ordered 3 glasses of wine, wild mushroom gnocchi, chef's pasta of the day, a cheese platter for dessert and fries for the kids. All for $100 including tax and tips. We were there for an occasion and very happy with the experience. On our way out we sampled two wines and they even gave my 4 yr old a sparkling cherry to give us company! This restaurant is a must visit and we will remember this forever!

Yelp
Nk'Mip Cellars is a joint project between the Osoyoos Indian Band and Vincor International and enjoys the prestige that comes with being North America's first Aboriginally owned and operated winery. The winery site looks over Lake Osoyoos and is located in what remains of the Pocket Desert- the only desert in Canada. The winery building's design is influenced by aboriginal culture and the desert locale, and the interior decor features works by local band artisans as well as numerous displays that recount the evolution of the winery and vineyards. Visitors may enjoy lunch on the winery's front patio while taking in the view of intermingling desert and vineyards on the shores of Lake Osoyoos. Recently completed as part of the Nk'Mip development project, is Sonora Dunes, a nine-hole golf course, and Nk'mip Campground/RV Park. Spirit Ridge Vineyard Resort and Spa is soon to be completed along with a Desert and Heritage Centre. Visitors may also explore the Pocket Desert. Wines aside, the buildings and amenities alone demonstrate the great commercial presence of this winery and make for an interesting visit. The tasting room at Nk'Mip is spacious, and has two tasting bars. During busier months be prepared for some line-ups. Visitors may also browse some of the displays and local artwork, clothing, and other accessories for sale while they wait. Tastings are $2.00 each for wines from the Qwam Qwmt series. Last Word : The events at Nk'Mip are well worth planning ahead for - especially the Traditional Salmon Feast.

Yelp
This review is only for the wine tasting cellar. It was a positive experience, like those I've enjoyed in Napa and Sonoma before they got crazy busy. My pourer was friendly and accommodating, especially when he realized that I was truly interested in tasting (not gulping/drinking) his offerings. We had a good conversation on several of the wines. He poured extra tastes for me at no charge, so I didn't pay anything for the entire experience. The setting and views are truly outstanding, and if the waether is complimentary, you can have lunch or dinner outside on their patio. The wines were all pretty good though some were truly excellent.
google avatar

Dawn C.

Yelp
Beautiful. Loved the spacious bright tasting room with probably one of the most stunning views of Lake Osoyoos that you can hope to see. You can sample two wines without a fee, and tasting fees always miff me. I'm not likely to buy what I haven't tried am I? The two wines I tasted were very good, but not enough to tempt me to buy a bottle of either. My friend was raving about the Chardonnay, but that was one I hadn't tried, and not a wine I'm generally crazy about. I would be happy to come back for a meal on the patio sometime and sample another one or two wines, maybe to stumble upon whichever one of their offerings I like best.

Regan W.

Yelp
wanted to try wine today. not accommodated at all because we didn't have a reservation. we were even told there was no way to accommodate us if another reservation was a no-show. 2 people inside. If accommodated we would have 100% bought a couple of cases of wine. instead left feeling I will never buy their wine again. terrible customer service.
google avatar

Lauren L.

Yelp
My favourite place to go for wine. I really enjoy the wines from this region and from this winery. Even though the founder of this place and I share the same last name. We're not from the same family. In the summer this place is vibrant and hot and popular. In the winter, you can come and enjoy the same wine, but at a much easier pace of enjoyment. Challenge is you have to make the drive all the way to Osoyoos to try it. A few Yelper friends have been here for their wine and for the Spa services. All of which are excellent. Read these other fantastic reviews and you'll get an idea why I keep coming back.
google avatar

Charlotte C.

Yelp
Wow, I'm not sure how this place isn't rated higher! There are two options for tastings here - a basic tasting of their basic wines for something like $3, and a tasting of their reserve wines for $10. GO FOR THE RESERVES. You're here, you're in a famous wine region - so try the good ones ;) I'm a red wine person, and the reds were amazing - especially the pinot noir. I've never, ever, EVER enjoyed a white wine or a dessert wine, but their dessert icewine was part of the reserve tasting list, so I gave it a shot... and ended up buying a $70 bottle of it. Please do yourself a favor and hit up this winery for their reserve tasting. Get ready for that icewine, it's insane! (I didn't know this before - Icewine is wine made from frozen grapes.)
google avatar

Cathy S.

Yelp
Where Disneyland meets a winery. As a winery, they are solid and have produced some very successful vintages. We really enjoyed their Syrah and their Red Meritage and were happy to take some home. My problem is essentially with everything else. You have to drive into this large complex that contains a campground, condos, a cultural centre, a restaurant, a meeting centre plus who knows what else. The tasting room itself is the size of a convention centre and the environment lacks any type of warmth or intimacy. The lady conducting our tasting was completely devoid of energy or enthusiasm. She didn't charge us the tasting fee because she said she couldn't be bothered. Yawn. We certainly didn't click with Nk'Mip.

Charlie B.

Yelp
Wine was much too sharp on the palate. I did not enjoy every white to taste like Chardonnay. Staff was not helpful, in fact a bit rude. We did buy one bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, though only to gift to someone we know who would like to try their white. It's much too hyped up, there are many amazing wineries to visit in Osoyoos and Oliver. Don't bother with this one.
google avatar

Nadine N.

Yelp
Nk'Mip Cellars (Pronounced in-ka-meep) is definitely worth visiting if you are in Osoyoos. It's North America's first Aboriginal owned and operated winery. They produce Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Syrah, Meritage, Riesling, Merlot, and Riesling Icewine. The wine shop is quite large and there are plenty of wines available to taste. Unfortunately for us, the Traditional Salmon Luncheon Feast at the winery was sold out when we tried to reserve a couple of spots. If you are planning to visit, make sure that you consult the website to see what events are going on so that you don't miss out.
google avatar

Jenn W.

Yelp
What a bizarre place. Nk'Mip winery is located in the Nk'Mip resort, a series of multistory buildings in the middle of the microdesert far above Lake Osoyoos. The resort is complete with a Vegas style pool - cabanas and all . . . I would rather stay closer to the lake if i were vacationing in Osoyoos, but I digress. I wasn't staying in Osoyoos, I was just there for the wine. We were intrigued by North America's first Native owned winery and eager to sample their selections. Unfortunately our $2 tasting fees warranted us the most minuscule half sip pours that we could barely taste, much less appreciate the wine at all. Tip to wineries that offer tastings: we don't visit to sponge up free alcohol! We visit to taste your wines and then BUY several bottles of the ones we like. We can't do that if you don't give us a big enough splash to taste!

Tania M.

Yelp
Beautiful Place, great food, an amazing view and top notch service. My husband and I shared a bottle of wine and a salad on the patio and it was so lovely. Mikayla our server was excellent and knowledgeable and so was the hostess. It's got to be so stressful during this crazy Covid time and they were perfection. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Adam H.

Yelp
The wine is absolutely fantastic and the setting is serene. The setting could remind you of Italy or Spain, the setting is very picturesque. The server Dennis is a total prick though :(

Doug P.

Yelp
NK'Mip is a must do winery on your tours. They make fantastic wines and if you can meet Dianne she is your ticket to learning about the area wines, history and the inside scoop. She's quite fun. Take some time there and sit outside with some food and take in the view. Take advantage of the wine club. Get 15% off what you buy and get their wine delivered to your home because you will probably find t hard to get. They're a smaller production winery.
google avatar

Conrad B.

Yelp
Sommelier was my least favorite of the inner-BC portion of my vacation, and probably the only one that rubbed me the wrong way. Tasting fee yielded tiny tastes, and they were out of icewine. My winemate almost always buys stuff. The fact that he bought nothing said something about the experience. Stunning view, though.

Shannon J.

Yelp
So rude here we visited 9 wineries and the staff at this one are not friendly at all even would go as far to say they are mean
google avatar

Jeff F.

Yelp
We were looking to find a place to stay in Osoyoos while going around and checking out a few winerys... just happened that the place we were staying was part of this resort (we really didn't know... ). We had planned to come to this place, so it worked out well for us. We went on a tour (was a few dollars, but included a 4 wine tasting, + the icewine), and found out a bit more about the organization, the operation, and the two groups... Osoyoos Indian band, and Vincorp. Tasting wise... we really liked their Riesling, the QQ Merlot, and especially the icewine. I'm never a huge fan of icewine because it is so syrupy sweet it just coats my tongue like I'm drinking honey... their icewine is based on Riesling grapes and maintains enough of their acidity to make this stuff feel much lighter, and really enjoyable. I had no problem buying a bottle of this stuff... and would again!

Yelp
Delicious food with a gorgeous view on a summer afternoon. One of the best restaurants in Osoyoos.

Yelp
Had a reservation for lunch at this incredible venue. Setting was pure Alfresco and the view was spectacular. Service was poor but the servers were friendly and hard working, just overwhelmed and knowingly kept apologizing for the delays. The meal was average and if not for the venue it would have ranked below average. I believe this restaurant has eminent possibilities and the food could easily overcome the shortfalls we experienced and as previously stated, the setting is phenomenal.

Yelp
Beautiful winery, delicious wines, better service! Karen gave us a tasting on our last stop of our day of wine touring, and she was so lovely! Very knowledgable, but made the whole party feel comfortable and excited about the wines. Will definitely be back to see her!

Yelp
Talons restaurant review: This place was pathetic. I asked the waitress if they had vegan options. She said "I think so". Then, everything went downhill from there. I ordered the chef's salad. The greens were brownish and looks like some kids just throw it altogether. Menu said it has sauteed mushrooms but that was nowhere to be found. We also had chicken caesar salad. Again, brownish lettuce and drenched with dressing. The pappardelle pasta was worse. It was overcooked to the point where it was soggy. We asked for extra plates when t Worst place ever.

Yelp
This beautiful cellar is located next to the Mica Restaurant balcony at Spirit Ridge. I sampled the Nk'mip 2011 Talon and an icewine, which were both delicious. We were served our lunch & vino outside on the most breathtaking balcony over looking the vineyard and beauty of the South Okanagan.

Yelp
Beautiful facility, good wine, a friendly host, no tasting fee...What more could a guy ask for? I'm looking forward to returning in the spring or summer. If you just want to taste wine in the region, winter time is hard to beat. No crowds = individual attention. We really liked their wine as well as the variety of first nations art in the shop. in addition to our wines, we left with some beautiful turtle earrings for my dear bride as well.

Yelp
Great wine and a great lady that helped us. She provided us with a ton of information about the wine and the winery. Thank you Elaine.

Yelp
These were some tasty wines, I particularly liked their meritage. The history of their winery is fascinating and a testament to native people's empowerment. They are building what looks to be an incredibly lovely resort- an excellent home base for wine-tasting. We didn't try their restaurants, but they looked good as well. Another place well worth the visit, particularly if you have kids, as they have trail riding and all kinds of kid-friendly activities.

Yelp
Excellent service, view and outstanding food. Truly enjoyed the tasting platter, refreshing, savoury and generous, Didn't have an entree so four stars. I will be back.

Yelp
This review is only for the restaurant portion. I'm not sure if it was just the day we were there or what, but the service was poor and the food was likewise. After taking our orders, and waiting a few minutes for our drinks, we were told by our waitress that they were out of the seafood skewers, which I had ordered. I then ordered the salmon and fry bread. Soon after we got not our drinks, but told that they were out of the bison skewers which everyone else had ordered. After everything was in order, we finally got our drinks. Finally we got our food, the salmon with dill butter was great, moist and flavourful. The fry bread turned out to be a bland, un seasoned chunk of deep fried batter. Overall, I don't see myself coming back here for a while.

Yelp
The food was amazing -- although maybe everything is great when you have a view like that. Paired with a flight of their whites (including the yummy Pinot Blanc), is was damn near heaven.
