Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge

We stayed here for two nights. We drove from Kigali in a rental and it was worth the drive. Rogers the manager does a great job and manages the place really well. The room looked out over the Forrest and is just so nice. The gorrila trek was amazing and the lodge is a great refuge after the walk.

We spent 3 nights in this marvellous lodge. It is very peaceful and serene. Wonderful experience and attentive staff. Special commendation to our Butler, George Easter who is so joyful and helpful. He really makes our stay a very memorable one. Thanks George!!👍 Kai & Anne Simgapore

Our stay at Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge was nothing short of magical—and easily one of the most unforgettable parts of our honeymoon. Nestled high in the hills near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the lodge offered us an experience that was both luxurious and deeply connected to nature. We were generously upgraded to a room with one of the most breathtaking views we’ve ever seen. Yes, there were a few steps to climb to get there—but every single one was worth it for the serenity, beauty, and intimacy we felt in that space. This was more than just a place to sleep. It was a place where we were seen, celebrated, and cared for in the most thoughtful ways. From the moment we arrived—greeted with warm smiles and a hand massage—we knew this stay would be something special. We had a dedicated server for every meal, which made dining feel personal and connected. By the end of our time there, he truly felt like a dear friend. But what touched us most was how the entire staff went above and beyond to honor our honeymoon. From a beautifully decorated private table, to a surprise dance performance, to a homemade cake—they made us feel deeply celebrated in the most heartfelt way. Our time in Nkuringo was part of a larger trek through Uganda and Rwanda, including hikes to see both silverback gorillas and golden monkeys—experiences that were humbling, exhilarating, and utterly unforgettable. To be able to come "home" each night to the comfort, warmth, and care of Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge made those days even more special. If you're considering where to stay for your gorilla trekking experience—stop looking. I cannot recommend Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge enough. It was an experience that left us full of awe, gratitude, and a little piece of our hearts still in the jungle.

I’m so pleased that we stayed as this truly lovely lodge for our gorilla trekking trip of a lifetime. The lodge is stunning as are the views. Great food. The staff are outstanding and we were very well looked after by George, Sam and Gilbert. Thank you for making our trip so wonderful 😊

5-star experience at this lodge!! Our room was spacious, nicely decorated and a super comfy bed plus fireplace! The views are other worldly and the meals were delicious. The very best part was the team here.. they were absolutely amazing in every way. Friday was our server every night for dinner. He made great recommendations and was friendly and eager to help! I hope to be back, it was a fabulous place to relax after our gorilla treks.

Absolutely a dream walking up the stairs to the main lodge and seeing the view from the balcony. My wife and I spent 3 days and 2 nights at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge and could not have been more impressed with the staff, our room, and the incredible chef making our meals. We were even surprised with a birthday celebration during our last dinner which truly added to the experience. What an amazing resort to stay at when trekking with the gorillas. We can't wait til our next trip out to stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge. The lodge is top notch, with spectacular service at every turn. The views from the lodge are stunning. And the delicious food and cocktails were very welcome! The proximity of the lodge to the gorilla trekking location was also a big plus. We wish we had booked an extra night simply to stay on property and enjoy all of the amenities and delightful staff who took special care of us, ensuring that all of our needs were met. We are so grateful and encourage others to share this beautiful experience.

We had an amazing 3 night stay here as part of our 11 day tour around Uganda. This was absolutely the best lodge out of all the places we stayed during our tour. The setting is breathtaking, the views spectacular and the room beautiful. The biggest highlight is the staff, we were touched by how friendly, caring and yet professional they were. And we really appreciated the special celebration the staff did for our wedding anniversary. George and Sam took especially good care of us. They took things to the next level!
