Highly Anticipated Restaurant Openings in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"A barbecue restaurant planned for South Downtown that will include a smokehouse and is expected to lean into meaty sandwiches and smoked offerings in the style suggested by the owners’ successful sandwich shop; it is slated to open in the spring next year." - Henna Bakshi

Almost all of our food was cold- not even luke warm. The fries were old. Definitely a bad experience. I expected better especially when you pay 30 some dollars for a meal for two. The only thing good was the baked beans! They were warm! I think we will go elsewhere for warm food. I’m a bit concerned about bacteria growing on food that is not properly kept warm.

We ordered takeout. We get home and everything we ordered was not included in our order. We ordered two large brisket sandwiches with coleslaw and 2 extra sides (potato salad). The cole slaw was missing from both containers. For a large brisket sandwich at $11.99, it wasn’t very much meat and there was a lot of fat and burnt ends. It seems you are probably just paying for a bigger bun with the same amount of meat as a regular. Their website and some of the other photos do not reflect the current prices. The food did taste good and the barbecue sauce does have a good flavor, but we were dissatisfied for the price (over $40 after tip) especially after not receiving everything.

Pathetic. Everything was dry, the chicken was soaked in some kind of liquid with a liquid smoke flavor, the brisket was thin, dry, no bark and no real flavor. the toast was oily and stale, Everything was kinda cold. The only thing really eatable was the potato salad and coleslaw. And after choking down the food to give a complete review I am still hungry

So much has changed with the new ownership here.. charged 75cents for 2 2oz ramekins of bbq sauce to go with my bbq sandwich which was luke warm at best... along with my soggy warmish fries...1st time there since owner change... disappointed for sure..

Wow!!! This place is great. Not only do they have great food, they are also super friendly. My uncle has a special coupon in the front pocket of his shirt -- the cashier realized AFTER THE FACT, and then she gave us a REFUND for those drinks!!! She was so considerate and thoughtful and very, very sweet. They have both sweet AND A unsweet tea, all kinds of homemade pies. Get there early to make sure you get all the good stuff before the other customers do! It's so good!!!!

Great bbq smoked on the premises. A variety of good sauces to choose from at your table. Look forward to going back.

I ordered fried pickles and they are not battered just deep fried and so i have greasy pickles. The cole slaw looks 5 days old and smells horrible. It tastes as bad as i just described.. Im extremely disappointed. Paid $25 for a dinner i cant eat..
