10 Best Atlanta Restaurants and Bars for Mexican Food and Margaritas | Eater

"Hacienda means “estate” in Spanish, so it’s fitting that this Midtown restaurant resembles a grand Mexican home. Dark wood beams, elegant chandeliers, and colorful art (including several Frida Kahlo portraits) create an atmosphere that’s warm and inviting. Come in, relax, order a taco trio — the tacos with homemade chorizo are especially delicious, and there’s tofu for the vegetarians in the crowd — and throw back a Texas margarita for an ideal Tuesday night out." - Vox Creative

This use to be my favorite go to Mexican spot smh, not anymore. They use Taco Bell meat (prepackaged) no longer cooked fresh and the service is bad, not helpful at all. Even though we got there at 9:05 and they close at 10, we planned to get a drink, have an appetizer and get the food to go. However when the appetizer came it was a bunch of crumbs with melted cheese. She said the meat was under the cheese and it was not! If you don't have the food or it's to late to serve notify people so they wont waste their time ordering thx

This is a must see for Hispanic art and decor! The shop has everything you need from gifts to a cafe. Great place to get a one of a kind piece for the house or a gift for a loved one. It is attached to a great restaurant No Mas and a Cafe. I truly enjoyed walking through the store looking at handmade art. Will be back!

Its vibrant colors, traditional patterns, and unique handmade goods all combine to create an unforgettable atmosphere. From the intricate embroidery to the carefully crafted ceramics, each item is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Mexico. As you stroll through the market, taking in the sights and sounds, you'll feel like you've been transported to another world. And the best part? Each purchase supports local artisans and helps to preserve their craft for future generations to enjoy. So come immerse yourself in the magic of this artisan market while you’re visiting this tasty restaurant and take home a piece of Mexico with you today. This beautiful whale is the piece that I took home and I am beyond happy with my purchase!

First time visiting Atlanta, Georgia and I was excited to explore new places and purchase souvenirs along the way. I explored the area where I was staying and discovered No Mas! Hacienda, I was instantly interested in visiting this place. Upon arrival the place was very colorful and welcoming, once inside my first impression was “WOW”. I was instantly brought back to my roots and enjoyed seeing the Hispanic Cultural items displayed all over the store. The store is definitely a must see attraction to tourist and new comers visiting Atlanta.💛🧡💚💙

This place is a gem. Each piece chosen and crafted beautifully. It’s like a museum! I could spend hours there and I could surely drop a lot of $$.

Google
No Mas! Hacienda is phenomenal!! That is the only word I can think of to describe it. This beautiful store is filled with very unique items of all kinds and there is no possible way that you can take it all in in just one visit. I have yet to see an inventory to compare elsewhere and you can feel the love that not only the artists put into their crafts but the love of the store owners in selecting them. The customer service can’t be beat and I felt welcome from the moment I entered the store. I live nearly 2 hours away but I will definitely be back!! Thank you Walt for the best shopping experience that I have had in many years.

I’ll give it a 6 stars👍🏼

Yelp
I haven't explored much of the Castleberry Hill neighborhood but was looking for a new Mexican spot and No Mas! giant patio and parking lot caught my eye. Parking is a breeze here with a large parking lot that's free for customers. There's plenty of seating outside on the patio as well as a ton of space inside and we loved the vibes. We were seated within 10 minutes of arriving too which was super nice for a Friday night. I had a Fuego Margarita which actually had a good kick to it and a healthy amount of booze. We ordered a Los Tres Amigos which is a 3 dip platter of salsa, queso, and guacamole. All 3 were pretty decent. For my main, I had the Playa del Carmen (1 fish taco and 2 shrimp enchiladas with refried beans and rice). Everything was absolutely delicious and generous portions so I had leftovers. Great classic Mexican spot and would definitely come back.

Yelp
It was my first time visiting this place had dinner there with friends. They had been there before and raved about this restaurant and they were not over exaggerating it was everything they said it was, nice atmosphere. Good food, all in all I enjoyed myself.

Yelp
I love this little Mexican spot. Food is delicious, drinks are bomb and JQ is life. Definitely recommend for a date or a quick lunch with a friend. Make sure you request JQ.

Yelp
Wow! It really looks like some of the Authentic Shops of Puerto Vallarta! I walked in to Adios Cafe and there were really nice changes occurring ...the seating is near the walker street view great new addition...A lovely new space! And the former seating area is like we were coming into the Street Market !! It's really wonderful to be able to browse while waiting on our Cappuccinos.. for an after late lunch in No Mas! Today I bought a great sterling silver ring! Mucho Bonita! Great place to come for really wonderful gifts...I've bought several pieces of large furniture and have always gotten soooo many complements on each in my home! But today I was looking for a nice gift...great way to spend a sunny Sunday...lunch in No Mas, coffee in Adios, and shopping in Hacienda's wonderful gallery... a truely great experience!!! Highly suggest it!

Yelp
I came down for what I thought was a meeting of NOMAS... (The National Organization for Men Against Sexism), and was shocked to find another kind of inspiration entirely! So your home is a little... shall we say boring... ...I'm not suggesting that it might be... I've been over (when you were at work) and trust me... you need a couple design elements to take it up a notch! (Oh... and you're out of milk.) Look no further! Shockingly extravagant Hispanic decorative pieces abound! Completely inspiring! From beautiful glass chandeliers, to giant ceramic Gods straight out of the Temple of Doom! Spectacular! When you've hit a hump with your pad (and you have), No Mas Hacienda is the place to find that special something that can take it to a whole new level! "el Infinito mas" is more like it!

Yelp
Wonderful lunch. Friendly bar tender. Enjoyed the calamari and quesadillas. Tried out the house margarita. When your done the walk around the store is worth it so many handcrafted goods.

Yelp
Great spot with good food! Service is always great, and if there's a wait, check out their store. Full bar to take the edge off. Great for small and large groups. Close to MBS if you want to hangout before game time. Complimentary valet is available too!

Yelp
Came here based on reviews, and was glad we did. For meals (the Cantina), the charm and the store. We truly felt we were somewhere in Mexico like San Miguel Allende or Taxco or Querétaro etc. So cool.

Yelp
I did a double-take when I saw this location of No Mas not listed in Yelp. Perhaps it is because there are literally two parking spots in the lot? I cannot come up with another explanation. From what I can gather, this awesome little mini-No Mas carries overflow from the Castleberry Hill location. It's much, much smaller, and there is no restaurant. However, the furniture/art/decor selection is equally droolworthy, and there is now a new garden section here as of a few weeks ago. I popped in with a friend late on a Saturday afternoon to look for a chiminea. As they had recently had a huge sale, there were only 2 left (and, by the almost embarrasingly lovely owners' report, none at the main location). He offered me the sale price on the one I liked most, which was (SIT DOWN) $58. Seriously, people. You can't buy a chiminea on the damn Craigslist for that little. My friend saw a few large standing sculptures she liked, and when she heard the price, was made SO INSANE by the bargain that she bought the lot of them on the spot. It was really kind of bananas. I can't say enough nice things about the service here. In addition to being very attentive and offering us Crazy! Low! Prices!, the guys were friendly, funny, and generally good-humored. Although we were kind of keeping them past closing time, they could not have been kinder about answering all our questions and letting us browse. They're clearly quite devoted to bringing a little bit of their beloved Mexico into others' homes, and the excitement in their faces when they explained the origins of some of their favorite items gave me a sense of unfilled longing, but in a good way. Although I liked this place pretty well already, after this experience, it is my new go-to for all things ceramic and/or garden-hardware related. Mas, mas, mas!

Yelp
Celebrated with my besties last night. What a great place!!! The mixologist, Kia, more than met my expectations with her creative spin on some of our favorites while also showcasing her skill at pleasing us with traditional blends. Summer helped make the evening a blast. Great food; fab bar!! They even have an interesting shop with one of a kind treasures.

Shana R.

Yelp
OK. First of all I would like to say that the waiter that took care of us was very kind. And he took care of my family but even though he was very nice and he talked to a manager he was not able to fix the bright flashing that was flashing on us all night. I dont think that he realized that my sister with epilepsy could have a seizure at any moment and we we're not able to move anywhere else. Second of all, my kids ordered a chicken tender meal and they complained that it was too hot. I touched the outside of it and it didnt feel hot but when I took a bite the middle of it was on fire. Um, I know how microwaves work the meal was obviously microwaved. Any ways, my husband loved the Fajitas so we might come back to try it again but I dont know

Yelp
Food is awesome. Prices are expensive but that's of course expected. The artwork and everything inside the market is beautiful. Makes me appreciate handcrafts

Yelp
Between the candles, lighting, art, furniture and amazing jewelry it's the best place to ensure you get perfect gift for yourself, a friend, host/hostess, etc! It's like a Mexican wonderland!!!

Yelp
I'm a silver jewelry junkie and a friend recommended that I stop in. I am so glad that I did. I didn't eat next door, but boy did I shop. What a great shop. The ambience and colors are fantastic and it just feels good to be there. The guy who helped me was Lee. He has the patience of a saint and walked me from showcase to showcase after learning more about what I liked. When was the last time you had that kind of service? The wonderful thing about everything I saw was that it was all unique . . . None of the same boring stuff you see in the regular stores. While I wasn't shopping for home decor last night, you can bet I'll be looking at that next time on what will now be (gasp!) A monthly visit to No Mas. Check it out its well worth it for the jewelery alone but it's so much more than that.

Yelp
Staff was nice. The Mexican art was awesome! I really enjoyed looking at the unique merchandise. They have star lights that are really cute. Day of the dead items very cool.

Rick R.

Yelp
Awesome!! They have a really nice collection of unique items. We particularly love the furniture and decorating accessories. Over the years we have bought a number of very special pieces. They do custom, special products that fit your ideas and needs. Can't say enough about this shop. The adjoining restaurant is wonderful too!!

Yelp
No Mas! Hacienda is magical - the furniture, lighting, clothing, jewelry, handbags and other trinkets are super beautiful. I love going before the holidays to locate those special, one-of-a-kind gifts for the ppl. on my list.

Yelp
I love the large doors and everything is hand crafted. As an artist I can appreciate high quality, attention to detail, and people who have mastered there craft. No Mas can be intimidating to many artist because yo see such a large display of art work done by artist on top of there game. Love going for the inspiration.

G L.

Yelp
This is for review of the store - the prices will astound you (and not really in a good way unless you have major cash). If you don't want to see someone else with the same piece, the jewelry is worth it - well made and original pieces. Great candles. Glassware is nice. LOVE the chandelier made of wine bottles. The home decor items are off the beaten path and great if you have an eclectic style. The staff is friendly and willing to help. Would love to see what's upstairs...they've been working on it for a over a year now...hope it opens up soon.

BJ W.

Yelp
Staff very nice, good work Jordan Walker. I always enjoy the food and good company when I visit No Mas
