"Next door to Hubba Hubba Tiki Tonk, No Quarter is a nondescript bar that’s the perfect spot to grab a beer and learn how to actually play pinball, instead of just slapping paddles and pushing buttons (although there’s plenty of that, too). Their impressive collection ranges from classic machines like Dracula and Baywatch to newer games like Stranger Things and Pulp Fiction, and they host leagues and weekly tournaments for serious competitors. The real star, however, is their great list of bourbon. The owner has great taste and handpicks barrels from his favorite distilleries—some more well-known than others." - adam sloan

This place was nearby our accommodations in Nashville and we popped in out of curiosity and so glad we did! Our whole group enjoyed the vibes and playing the different machines. Your first drink gets you two tokens and you can get more for 10/$5. Overall, it was a great find during our time in Nashville!

Such a fun place with pinball machines and craft beer.

This place is amazing! There’s nothing better than mixing a dive bar with old-school arcade games. I’m not great at pinball however it’s still one of my favorite things to play. They have amazing beers on tap. All the bartenders were fantastic and the atmosphere was super cool.

Good little barcade. Beer selection wasnt huge but looked like a quality over quantity situation. Visited here briefly yesterday afternoon and had a nice time. The thing that really stood out to me were the older pinball machines. Like 1970's/early 80's. That was cartainly something that set this place apart from some other barcades Ive been to.

Came across this place by accident as we were staying nearby on a roadtrip from the UK. Having driven through 6 states this place is one of the highlights. Looks a little intimidating when you walk in but super welcoming and friendly, great drinks and the pinball setup was amazing. Went back twice and will recommend it to anyone we know going to Nashville.

Google
Cool atmosphere! Even better beer selection! Bartenders are knowledgeable and super friendly. We enjoy this spot for date drinks or a place to take the kids to get out for a few!

Grunge with a touch of nerdy hipster, dj playing KISS on vinyl.

Google
Great experience! Stopped here to kill some time before the concert that we were in town for. Had a great time playing all the pinball machines. The bartender greeted us with tokens and they even had a few of the games on free play. We stayed for quite a while and had a great time. Highlight for me was the paragon machine... took me right back to my childhood!

Yelp
Not a bad place to go to kill some time, should you happen to find yourself within the vicinity. I stumbled upon this establishment as I spent one evening in the very nearby Waymore's Guest House. There is a decent selection of vintage pinball games but not much else, as well as a decent selection of local beers. However you only receive a small amount of tokens with each purchase and the pinball machines seem to have quite the mind of their own, for those who happen to catch my drift. In short, you either have to drink a lot or quickly run out of play time. It all depends on what you want to do, but I personally try not to drink too much these days and thus I could not keep playing after but a few minutes. Very friendly staff, and again, if you're staying within the area, I would highly recommend visiting this establishment. Perfect for a date, friends, or before or after a lively venue.

Yelp
This place ROCKS!!! Good beer, fun games and very friendly staff. Got to talking with a regular for a while and it was a blast. I'd recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a lowkey night with some friends and few tasty beverages.

Jaclyn B.

Yelp
The bartender was great and the pinball machines everywhere were so fun! They did have hotdogs and chips if you need a snack. Each drink you purchase gives you 2 tokens to play too. It was a great time!

Kristin Marie S.

Yelp
Time for an update! No Quarter is your home away from home. It's a great place to unwind with friends, loved ones, or by yourself. Bring $5, buy a bunch of tokens, and lose yourself in the machines while drinking a tasty beverage. NQ is also home to Bourbon County which makes it even more lovely! I love it. It might be the perfect evening. We look forward to the BC haul each year and always give ourselves a moment to stop in and grab one. If you don't like pinball, I'm not sure I understand, but they show NSC, have outdoor wrestling matches, friendly staff, and binho to keep you occupied.

Matthew J.

Yelp
Flavor full beers. Small selection of pinball machines but they have all the trending ones. They do have a Godzilla premium pinball machine!!! Behind the bar they have a 5 star food truck to feed your Nashville curiosity!!

Yelp
Spent a big chunk of a chilly spring day exploring the East side. Happened upon this bar and had to go in...stayed longer than expected. Why? -Interesting craft beer selections -Pinball y'all - Elvira, Iron Maiden, Metallica and more -Free tokens with drink order -Friendly staff -Nice crowd -Cute bartender Now if you don't like pinball (um, what's wrong with you?) still totally worth your time.

James J.

Yelp
I love everything about this place. EXCEPT the bar tender dude with the curly hair and septum piercing. "ID's!" "WHAT DO YOU WANT." Guy literally tossed my credit card down at the bar at me. Real piece of work.

Tristan R.

Yelp
Sat at the bar on a evening that was not busy at all. There was maybe 6 other customers there. The bartender ignored my brother and I for 10 minutes even when we tried to get his attention. After about 15 minutes we left without being served.

Nate L.

Yelp
Well maintained machines and wonderful staff. What more could you ask for?! If you love pinball this is a win.

Paige O.

Yelp
This place was the equivalent of walking into a party that you weren't invited to. The bartender was beyond rude and ignored me for a good 10 minutes when I was standing there waiting to put in a drink. Nashville I'd be embarrassed, this bar doesn't represent you.

Cristina H.

Yelp
Awesome place with tons of pinball machines, consistently good beer selection and really good non-alc options for those sober October peeps out there. They also have vegan wings and some other small bar bites. Also have liquor and usually play some really good horror films.

Matthew P.

Yelp
Best bar in EAST!!!! Very welcoming people!!!! Great pinball!!!! Great drinks!!!! Highly recommend!!!!

Hank D.

Yelp
What a great spot to enjoy playing some pinball on classic pinball machines. With a full bar and a limited menu this place offers fun for all. Parking is tight and can be a issue, but get there any way you can. I can't remember the last time I had this much fun playing pin ball and having a few libations. A great concept that is well worth the trip!

Stephanie V.

Yelp
Fun and intimate pinball hang out! Come for the drinks, the bar food, and the small, yet good selection of pinball machines. Bar rotates through beer so you are always trying something new on draft; but they also have some classic can choices. The food is typical bar type food and I've not really eaten it, but the pricing looks comparable for the area, same for the beer pricing. You play pinball with tokens that you can either pay for at the bar or get with any food/drink order. Most bartenders will give you a couple extra tokens too. Pinball selection is limited due to the size and I could see some people not enjoying it as much if they wanted a more serious environment (sometimes people hover over a machine..not the business' fault though) or wanted a greater change of machines. Check out their social media accounts for fun themed events!

Brianna S.

Yelp
I'm torn. The idea of this place is cool, but I felt like I was at a basement party because this place is so small and people were crowded around the machines or just stood in front of them/leaned against them because there's not much room to just chill when not playing pinball and the few tables are full, which is frustrating having to ask people to relocate when wanting to play a machine. especially on a busy night. Also, pretty bummed they didn't have any decent whiskey options. Not even basic jack daniels, i would have settled for that. If you're into pinball like me, they have some cool older machines, and some classics as well. I would check it out on a weekday.

Jacquie P.

Yelp
The best bar in Nashville hands down! It can get a little packed while everyone is playing pinball but I think that's kind of the fun of it too.

CJ C.

Yelp
This place is such a gem in East Nashville. They have old school pinball machines and new ones too. You get tokens with every drink, even nonalcoholic ones like Diet Coke. You can also purchase tokens by themselves if you want. The staff is friendly and welcoming to everyone. They have a small parking lot out front. Not sure if there's more around back or not but so far haven't had an issue parking up front. Great place. Highly recommend if you've ever enjoyed playing pinball or hanging out with nice folks. Oh! And free jukebox! Can't miss that detail.

Dude B.

Yelp
This place rules! Great beer (including local favorites Bearded Iris and Southern Grist and they also have Hamm's tallboys), around 15 pinball machines, excellent jukebox (including stuff you never see on jukes like Jawbreaker, Fugazi, Descendents, Nas, Wu-Tang, Slint, etc.), and chill vibe. I almost don't want to post this review because I want to keep this spot to myself, but these guys deserve your business. Side note, I've not tried the food yet but have heard the vegan wings are bangin'.

Yelp
Good beer selection at reasonable prices Great pins from the 60s up to the newest releases. One of the best Jukeboxes in town, and its FREE. Hands down the best loaded pinball bar!!! GY1QP!

Roo S.

Yelp
This place is super fun if you're looking to play pinball and enjoy excellent draft beers. The bartender was super cool and it had a fun vibe. Definitely a must-go in Nashville.

Rachel D.

Yelp
While I appreciate the shit out of a free juke box, being able to hear the selected songs over the games and bar den would be cool. Also, the vegan chicken wings tasted like homemade hippie toilet paper held together with tears, but I can appreciate that they are available for the meatless folk. But those things are minor concerns. Overall, this place is cool as fuck. We had a great time and the staff all seemed happy to be there.

Foody M.

Yelp
The place is called No Quarter but the games are not free. You get 2 tokens with every beer purchase. 1 token per game, but a game of pinball will last about 3 minutes. Then you're standing around with a full beer and you can't play games until you finish your beer and buy another, or buy 10 tokens for 5 dollars. What's the point? I almost wished they just took quarters, rather than rationing out game time per beer. The name is misleading. Just make the games free like the name implies. I'm sure they'd get more business. Also, the bartender will ignore you while she has a good long chat with friends at an empty bar. I don't see this place surviving. By all means, check it out. If you're a pinball nut, this may be your place. But if you're expecting to drink beer while playing free pinball all night (like I was), then I think you will be disappointed. It wasn't my thing, and I won't be going back.

Yelp
This place is pretty, pretty, pretty amazing if you are looking for a great place to grab beers and play some pinball. Always a good crowd, top notch service, and plenty of entry level pinball machines for people like me who are terrible at pinball. I had my birthday party here and the staff was super accommodating of us as we brought a ton of people and hot chicken. Great place to bring kids on a Sunday. My son never left the Star Wars machine for the two hours we were there. Owner is a Spurs fan. COYS.

Greg B.

Yelp
Kind of an easy place to miss but you would be missing out. The place is a little darkly lit by that is the end of my complaints. The beer selection was on point and the bartender is very friendly. The pinball selection was great. One thing that I noticed was that the bathroom was impeccably clean and fresh smelling, so many people overlook that! Great place for a quick drink or a night out!

Madeleine M.

Yelp
I love No Quarter so much! The owner is the kindest and the service is amazing. Prices and selection are great, the pinball is a blast, the crowd is always pretty calm and fun. It's easily my favorite bar in town :-)

Stephen Y.

Yelp
While not much of a pinball player, my two trips to No Quarter have been great. The bar staff is friendly and the games are fun. You get a couple of tokens with each food or drink purchase, so that keeps folks from staying at one particular machine all night. Would be great for a group outing before a show at Basement East, or after dinner at Edley's.

Travis B.

Yelp
So much fun! Staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable Free juke box! Pinball!!!

Carolyn M.

Yelp
This is exactly my kind of place - no pretension, laid back, hole in the wall feel. Without hole in the wall dive bar grime. There are several pinball machines to choose from, and you get tokens free with a food or drink purchase, or you can buy them. There's no judgment if youre not a serious pinballer, so feel free to go and have fun even if you have no hand-eye coordination (I can vouch that it's still fun with record low scores). Great beer selection - lots of local choices. A really nice add to the neighborhood - I'll have to take my kiddo on a rainy Sunday (the only day kids are allowed).

Levi J.

Yelp
I go to this place at least once a week. The bartender along with the owners are truly, salt of this fine earth. Their beer selection is on point and they just started their HH with $1 off along with 2 extra tokens. Pinball Machines: this is the best part. They actually work well and reminds you of the past happiness we all once had. This is way better than sitting at home on your computer playing virtual pinball. Trust me... Bathrooms: Definitely a top five bathroom in East Nashville. Even better, they reference one of my old college favorite bands (Neutral Milk Hotel). You will have to visit to see it. Food: they have vegan wings. I'm scared to try them just because of my love for meat. However, people eat them like plants are becoming extinct.

Megan B.

Yelp
I've always enjoyed playing pinball at No Quarter. However, I was disappointed early this afternoon due to an incident that occurred between the bartender and two young black boys trying to escape the pouring down rain. It was around 1:30 PM and my husband and I were among a total of 4 people in the arcade. Two middle-school aged African American boys came in and politely waited by the door, seeking refuge from the rain and lightning. They were asked to leave by the bartender due to the establishment being 21+. I understand the importance of maintaining rules and staying in compliance. However, no care was given to the boys' safety or to contacting their guardians. Simply letting them wait by the door until the rain died down or offering them a phone to call their parents would have made a world of difference.

Jennifer P.

Yelp
One of my new favorites! This is a great spot for both pinball regulars and those new to the scene. They have some good food available (can't wait to try the vegan wings!) but it's also in walking distance to some great food spots if you need a little break from playing. The folks who own/run this place are awesome and the jukebox (free) has a really impressive selection. I still have some tokens from the last time I was there. The pins are impressive (both newer Stern and classic 60's machines) I'll be back!! Probably tonight!! Oh and of course: beer selection is on point.

Tim B.

Yelp
Great establishment! Went for the grand opening and had some beers and played several of the games they had there. Great selection of pins too, some old classic games and then some brand new large screen games. Great selection of local craft beers from Southern Grist and Bearded Iris among others. Drank and played my fill, still have some tokens leftover so will definitely be back!

Jennelle F.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place, but my first time visiting was less than friendly. Beer selection was good but the bartender acted like she didn't have time for us.

David W.

Yelp
A welcome addition to Nashville. I cannot say enough good things about this spot. Cheap craft beer, vintage and brand new pinball games, Tom Waits on the jukebox, Sid Haig on the tv, Audrey Horne on the wall. What more do you need? My new favorite bar in town.

Shauna W.

Yelp
I love no quarter! My husband and I frequent this pinball haunt . It's the best for introverts who enjoy a lowkey date night

Mike M.

Yelp
2 tokens with every beer and super reasonable beer prices. In fact beer prices were reasonable enough that I left with a couple tokens. If you are just into pins, there are a couple of token packages available. Cool staff and ownership except the 1 bar-back. He knows who he is ;-).
