Opinion: It's important to be progressive and push boundaries in the bar scene - SilverKris

"A category-blurring venue intended as a catalyst for like-minded people rather than fitting neatly into bar/café/restaurant labels; it uses progressive contemporary techniques to prioritize quality without theatrics, emphasizes hospitality and involvement, and showcases meticulous preparations such as a Vodka Soda made with a house re-distilled citrus hop and kaffir lime spirit infused with clarified calamansi and Thai limes that is batched, carbonated and takes about 12 hours to prepare but is served to guests in seconds." - Xiangyun Lim

We ordered to share between the 2 of us. It is cantina style meaning if you order 3 drinks per person, your food is free. I forgot to take note of the exact dish names but we had the cabbage, parmesan churros, burrata and bread pudding and they were all tasty. What really impressed us was the drinks, they were delicious and very interesting. My favourite of the night was their interpretation of a Bloody Mary, I did not think this drink could get any more delicious but No Sleep Club did it. I would’ve gotten 3 of the Bloody Marys if the other drinks didn’t sound so enticing. I also tried the Milk and Cereal, it had a strong alcohol taste, not as sweet as I expected it to be but still ready good. Another drink I got was a tomyum drink and it wasn’t spicy, it was more refreshing in terms of the lemongrass notes, very easy to drink. The service was also very nice, we had a great and attentive server and overall had a great night. There were only 2 things that I didn’t enjoy so much, 1. the tables, they’re too low, I couldn’t cross my legs comfortably. I was reminded that this was the main reason we had not visited the bar again after our first time, the seating is not my favourite and 2. there were random points of the night that there was live music playing but I think where we sat was just not ideal because the saxophone sounded like it was right at my ear. Overall, will visit again.

This place is amazing! We ate nearly everything on the menu, highlights being the heirloom tomatoes, the roasted cabbage and the fried chicken (oh and the hamachi in the pic). The service was spot on, it was fab to be able to watch the chef at work from where we were sat. Oh and the cocktails were great too! Totally recommend and will be back. X

Amazing drinks that are too delicious to miss. Probably one of the best Bloody Mary I ever had. The food was amazing too. I only wish the bring back their steak instead of the beef patty. All in all a must try and I will definitely be back. Do make a reservation before coming as they are really popular.

Fun cocktails and bar bites at this little bar. Came here before going out for dinner but now thinking I need to come back to try more of the food. The drinks were really nice, loved the old fashioned. The burrata and tomato open face sandwich was super yummy. Will put this one on the regular rotation.

Loved the vibe! Drinks were good too, had milk and cereal, didn't know its an edible cocktail! We had Dirty Old Bastard (old fashioned vibe, very well executed), and one more that's like whiskey sour but forgot the name. The staff were also very friendly and attentive!

No Sleep Club is truly my favourite bar in Singapore. Their signature drinks are well crafted and perfectly balanced — my top picks are the Bloody Mary, Tom Yum Melon, NSC G&T with Guava, and most recently, the Tequila Soda. The food is just as amazing — Cantina style, where you order three drinks per person and the food is on the house. What’s not to love? Special shoutout to the team that makes this bar so fun and welcoming. Great music, too!

Had a lovely Friday night at No Sleep Club! I absolutely digged the music and casual, unpretentious vibe. The staff especially, are excellent at making you feel right at home and part of a cool club. The waitstaff were super friendly right off the bat, and always made sure we were taken care of at all times. I loved that the host took the time to introduce us to our bartender when they sat us down, as obviously, the drinks would be a big part of the night. And it's little personalised things like this that makes us feel like they operate as a team and take pride in what they do. Our bartender, Ash was lovely and he made an effort to talk to us in his quiet manner. You can tell he is very passionate about his craft in the way he spoke when he's presenting the cocktails to us. He also made sure to let us know the flavour profile of a cocktail while we were ordering, to make sure it was okay with our preferences. Needless to say, drinks are amazing. Not surprising since they are listed on the list of Asia's 50 Best Bars for a few years now. Each and every single drink we had was outstanding even though they looked pretty nondescript. We had the NSC G&T, Tom Yum & Melon, 3-Lime Vodka Sour, P*rnst*r Martini, Espresso Martini and Reverse Harvard. But at the end of the day, I think the presentation mimics No Sleep Club's approach in general: no-nonsense, not pretentious and just downright tasty. Also loved that they took a creative spin with the classics and made them their own. Food-wise, my friend and I were not expecting much, but they actually were really delicious! Their squid is probably one of the best squids I've had in a while! The simple pairing of brown butter with smoked almonds with the barbequed squid was insanely good. The grilled squash and roasted peppers was also amazing with the charcoal honey and spicy house yoghurt. The roasted duck was slightly underwhelming compared to the sides, but I needed a healthier option, and this was a good hearty choice. Will definitely be back for more!

Food was surprisingly good considering how little talk there is about it!! Really enjoyed the gochujang sambal chips and the Brussels sprouts. Drinks wise we enjoyed the hay & apples and paloma from the menu; bartenders also make a pretty mean old fashioned and boulevardier - they were also incredibly friendly and really kept us entertained. The Tom yum drink definitely packed a punch!!
