Not a bad word about this place!
The interior and view are beautiful, especially if you come for an early dinner and watch the sunset over the harbor. The large window fronts give loads of light and make the room feel spacious, and the interior is modern, clean, and stylish, without feeling cold.
I went for a dinner with work colleagues, and we opted for their pre-set four course menu with the wine pairing. At DKK 450, the dinner is great value for money, as is the wine pairing for DKK 325 (there is a premium pairing available for around DKK 800 as well).
The food was amazing, starting from the two snacks (rye bread chips with herring cream and radish, and a little pie with asparagus and crispy chicken skin). We had opted for drinks with our snacks, and I chose their Spring Martini with among others dill akvavit, and I really loved it!
The first serving was a gravad sea trout with thinly sliced daikon, a horseradish gel, and parsley, paired with a light and crisp German Riesling. This was followed by pan-seared scallops with carrots, carrot puree, and a hollandaise sauce. I wouldn't actually have needed the hollandaise, but everything else worked together beautifully. The wine pairing was a nice, oaky Californian Chardonnay.
The main course was Danish lamb with celeriac, spinach, and a sauce with lingonberries. The lamb was impeccably cooked and amazingly tender, paired with a blend of Mourvèdres and Sauvignon.
For dessert, we were treated to a birch ice cream with blueberry crumble, alongside a Sauternes dessert wine.
After dinner, we lingered for a little while, sipping some coffee and avecs. I opted for another cocktail with cherry and coffee, which was creamy, sweet, and delicious - the perfect end to a perfect dinner!
I honestly haven't got a bad word to say about this place, and I will definitely be back in the near future!
