"Set among smart offices and apartments on the edge of the dock is this minimally decorated, no-frills sister restaurant to a|o|c. This approach extends to the low-key service and the laid-back ambiance, while the fresh, flavoursome dishes focus on quality Danish ingredients, incorporate some impressive culinary techniques and offer great depth of flavour." - Michelin Inspector

"AOC's Younger Sibling Building on the success of AOC, the minds behind one of Copenhagen 's only 2-star Michelin Restaurants have opened a second restaurant. Søren Selin, co-owner and chef de cuisine at AOC, has overall responsibility for the menus while the resident chef at no. 2 is Nikolaj Køster. Despite being the younger sibling to AOC, Restaurant No. 2 is far from just a clone. It has its own special areas of focus and specialization In their own words at No. 2 you'll find, "Here you will find the same uncompromising approach to raw ingredients, the same combination of flavours praised by the reviewers and a wine list composed with the same attention to detail as the one that has won AOC several awards. All in a more relaxed and laid-back ambiance."

I've read people complaining about the noise, but it has either improved or wasn't that bad this evening, as the place was two-thirds full. We could talk comfortably. Also, people complained about leaving hungry. I honestly couldn't finish the fourth dish. You get plenty of fresh bread, and every dish is full of sauce, so you end up soaking it up; and all I can say is, if you want to taste the dessert, go easy on the bread. All of the courses were great. I was happy that we went with the five-course menu, because the fish was my favorite, but as I said, I was completely full with five courses. Compared to London, we left with a £220 bill, that is with a five-course menu and two glasses of wine each. I'd say, considering the quality of food and service, it is value for money.

Very good experience ! Was everything wonderful, from the first step until the end. Very recommended the wine pairing, it makes all the dishes literately perfect. Just I prefer the chicken a little bit more cooked than what they served me but anyway all so good. Thank you a lot to Nina that took care of us while all the meal.

Google
I found this restaurant when I was browsing the Michelin website. I tried the lunch menu dkk300 for starter and main course, I think it is good value, quality is high, the beef tarter and the sauce are matching well. The daily fish is cooked just right, you can taste the softness and juicy. The bread and cream butter were superb, I finished the whole bread myself. I would definitely come back in the future. This high-end restaurant offers a tasting menu that really fills you up—not one of those where you leave still hungry. Each dish is clearly made with a lot of care and attention to detail, showing how much the chef values quality. The menu manages to be both fancy and satisfying, so you actually feel like you’ve had a full meal. The mushroom dish deserves a special mention. It’s packed with flavor, with a nice balance that makes it stand out from everything else. If you’re looking for a tasting experience that’s generous with portions but still refined, this place is definitely worth a visit. The bread and butter are delicious but don’t be tempted or you won’t get to the desserts!

Had a brief stop at CPH with trying a few Michelin restaurants, this is the one you should not miss if you have a handful of options. Food and services were extraordinary and you can experience a causal fine dining cuisine.

Where do I even begin? From the moment we entered, No. 2 greeted us with impeccable service, atmosphere and food. The wine pairings were on point and every bite of the food was highly delectable!

We had a fantastic dinner here, with exquisite food, fantastic presentation and a great atmosphere. The service while nice was extremely slow, the only negative note in an amazing evening. Finally the prices are very fair for such quality food.

Oysters were soooo fresh, and the beef tartare was incredibly yummy. Just thinking about it now is making my mouth water! Will definitely come back!

Yelp
Service was good, except I didn't see the need to have my wine glass filled as I wasn't drinking. I also wish they were better at explaining what was in each meal but they stopped doing that halfway through the courses. We had 7 courses, including dessert, as a large group. Food was pretty good, with a small mishap. My first course was the croquettes and I bit into a lead bullet in mine. They should warn people this can happen. Rest of the meal was fine except for the heavy hand of pepper on the second duck course but only on one piece. My favorite items were the fluffy bread, two fish courses, and the beef tartare.

Yelp
We arrived early for our reservation, but enjoyed the warmth inside and had cocktails by the bar before we were seated. All the dishes were good. The squid was innovative, never having them as noodles. The duck was perfectly cooked too. The table next to us and I both had a shotgun pellet in our mallard. We alerted our waiter and both got a shot of house made schnapps on the house. Worth it? Haha sure. The pear sorbet finished the meal with a smile. I hate to say this, but No. 2 is a fitting name. It's located amongst businesses and out of the way from locals. Think of them as a place for execs to unwind or make a big impression for a first date.

Yelp
Lovely place and great food. Especially love that it's a place that you can chat properly without worrying about bothering others (ie volume). Service was great and staffs are friendly! The meal was overall great, and for the price, you can't ask for more. We had the Evening 6 menu, and were overall quite satisfied. The source was a little lacking on one of the dishes but I think it's just up to personal preference. Certainly a place you can bring your special half or just with bunch of mates for a catch up dinner! Why not five stars given such positive review? We were there for a special birthday, and read from other reviews that you might get a complimentary cake or something, however we didn't get anything (there was a flag placed on our table), so a little disappointed that we didn't get the same special treat.

Yelp
Not a bad word about this place! The interior and view are beautiful, especially if you come for an early dinner and watch the sunset over the harbor. The large window fronts give loads of light and make the room feel spacious, and the interior is modern, clean, and stylish, without feeling cold. I went for a dinner with work colleagues, and we opted for their pre-set four course menu with the wine pairing. At DKK 450, the dinner is great value for money, as is the wine pairing for DKK 325 (there is a premium pairing available for around DKK 800 as well). The food was amazing, starting from the two snacks (rye bread chips with herring cream and radish, and a little pie with asparagus and crispy chicken skin). We had opted for drinks with our snacks, and I chose their Spring Martini with among others dill akvavit, and I really loved it! The first serving was a gravad sea trout with thinly sliced daikon, a horseradish gel, and parsley, paired with a light and crisp German Riesling. This was followed by pan-seared scallops with carrots, carrot puree, and a hollandaise sauce. I wouldn't actually have needed the hollandaise, but everything else worked together beautifully. The wine pairing was a nice, oaky Californian Chardonnay. The main course was Danish lamb with celeriac, spinach, and a sauce with lingonberries. The lamb was impeccably cooked and amazingly tender, paired with a blend of Mourvèdres and Sauvignon. For dessert, we were treated to a birch ice cream with blueberry crumble, alongside a Sauternes dessert wine. After dinner, we lingered for a little while, sipping some coffee and avecs. I opted for another cocktail with cherry and coffee, which was creamy, sweet, and delicious - the perfect end to a perfect dinner! I honestly haven't got a bad word to say about this place, and I will definitely be back in the near future!

Yelp
Came here with a colleague last week for dinner. I had been here once before and loved it and this time was just as great. We stay at the Marriott and it is a short 5 min cab ride. The restaurant is on the canal and has a wonderful view. The waitress couldn't have been nicer and answered all our questions. We started with a glass of wine. One thing I appreciate about restaurants in Copenhagen is they want you to find a glass of wine you like. She let me try two before I settled on my glass. We decided to do the preset menu - 2 snacks and 4 courses. I can't remember the price in DKK but worked out to be $75 so very reasonable. The snacks were slices of Danish meat and salmon tartare which was perfect. There were two fish courses, a meat course and a dessert. The two fish were by far my favorite. Scallops cooked perfectly and a white fish with a lobster foam. The courses were the perfect size so you left satisfied but not overfill. I will definitely be back and have recommended to my colleagues.

Yelp
This was my favorite meal in Copenhagen! The ambiance was open and modern yet cozy with lovely views of the water. The staff was attentive, professional, and friendly. We went with the tasting menu, which included 2 "snacks" and then 5 courses and the wine pairing. I was so happy! The descriptions given at each delight from the kitchen was very detailed, but most importantly the food tasted DELICIOUS! It was fun to have some fresh and local cuisine. Presentation was superb and the portions were surprisingly filling for a tasting menu. I would go back here in a heartbeat!

Yelp
This meal was the highlight of our Copenhagen stay. Our tour guide had mentioned No.2 during our excursion a day earlier and we decided to give it a try. The setting is beautiful, and we were seated near the window facing the river and the national library. Service was efficient and casual. The server explained to us about the plates we ordered and the presentation was visually first rate. Everything about the food here is about freshness and flavors of the ingredients. For the price, No.2 has to be a bargain compared to other restaurants (both tourist and high end fare). They also have a very good wine list which offers extensive varieties by the glass, in addition to the wine pairing for the tasting menu. I hope to hear more great things about No.2 in the future and maybe I'll be lucky enough to come back for a future visit.

Yelp
I had a company dinner here so we were about 100 people. Considering the number of people, the food and service were executed very well. Food was made and presented in very healthy-greenish way. Very creative and interestingly well balanced flavor of all the dishes. Not sure if it was just for the season but the theme of the food was smoky.. even dessert. Complimentary bread was very good and warm. Must try this restaurant if you like creative dishes.

Yelp
Visited this restaurant by coincidence and therefore didn't knew what to expect. It was a Wednesday at bit early - just around 6 pm. We just ordered the 6 course meny for little less than kr. 500. And what quality. Every plate had a story of its own. Organic and the kitchen knew the manufacturer. High quality good for affordable money. I can only recommend this place if you want to discover the modern Nordic cousine without getting ripped off.

Yelp
Been here a several times with work and my fiancee. Lovely food, great staff and the view in the evening is to die for (same for the interior). Also, their wine selection is excellent! One of my favorite places in Copenhagen.

Yelp
We went there 3 times during our 10 days stay in Copenhagen although we have a long list of restaurants we wanted to try. First two visits for dinner were very pleasant but third one for lunch turned a little bit bitter and sour after talking to the manager over there. Pleasant part: 1. outstanding food: They are delicious, fresh, flavorful yet elegant. We love their scallops, green beans and paste, deer, smoked almonds, pancake with chicken skin...and desserts. Almost every dish we ordered! So far two desserts are still the best. In fact we ordered four desserts each time on our second and third visits. It sounds a little crazy but really worth it! 2. Good service from waitress and waiter, especially the first waitress on our first visit on Thursday night. She is knowledgeable, friendly, diligent and experienced. 3. Nice ambiance: the restaurant is in a modern building facing the canal with nice view of water, black diamond and other buildings. Interior is modern, trendy yet elegant with huge glass windows. The napkins and apron wore by waiter/waitress are grayish blue which matches their light blueish shirt and darker grayish wall color. If I have to use only one word for this restaurant, then it'll be: elegant Unpleasant part: tricky bill on our third visit and response&attitude of the manager. Here's the original review after first visit: We arrived on Thursday and had our first meal here (dinner) - on a bench right next to the canal enjoying the view of people kayaking, boating and biking. One of us ordered the 6-course dinner which started off with ham and radish. The sauces were delicious and beautifully presented. This was followed by an excellent scallop with wonderful green pea relish. Then came the pan fried turbot, followed by an excellent roe deer. The scallop was thin sliced so it was very tender and flavorful, melting in the mouth, the best scallop we've ever had. The texture of the deer was tender yet crispy and flavorful. Don't know how they can achieve that texture. It was the best deer I've ever had. The course meal was wrapped up with an excellent dessert - birch bark ice cream with tarragon oil, mint and cream that was frozen using liquid nitrogen - a unique taste of light sweetness with a hint of bitterness. It's so nice that we'd like to go back again just for that. Another of us started with fried Jerusalem artichokes with nice sauce, followed by generous amount of smoked salmon and horseradish sauce. Then came the pan friend turbot and foamy hazelnut ice cream. The service was friendly, ambience pleasant. Bread was great as well. Highly recommend this place. The location is hidden from main traffic.
