No.15 by GuestHouse, Bath, UK - Explore & Book

"Sitting on one of Bath's grandest avenues, between the iconic Pulteney Bridge and the gorgeous Holburne Museum, this trio of handsome Georgian townhouses has been reborn as a beautiful boutique escape under the Guesthouse brand. Their mantra is to create "wonder-filled, happy hotels", so expect a sense of theatricality - sweeping curtains, crystal chandeliers - combined with humorous artworks (like giant jelly beans) and super welcoming staff. In the ground-floor reception rooms, after collecting your key from an oversized doll's house (something of a theme in the hotel), you'll find inviting leather sofas, jewelled sculptures and a giant portrait of a chiselled young man gazing benignly down. A buzzing bar offers light bites and innovative cocktails using British spirits, shrubs and syrups, while lingering breakfasts are taken downstairs in the calming restaurant. There's also a small spa - of course - with pampering treatments and a copper tub-for-two. Upstairs, extending Tardis-like over six floors, are 36 bedrooms. These range from affordable, attic-level "Small Guest Rooms" to a huge Pulteney Room with high ceilings and twin casement windows. And there are more options out in the Coach House. Kids and pets are warmly welcomed, so there's something for everyone here. In a city which for centuries has made visitors feel rejuvenated and uplifted, this hotel is a worthy and most welcome addition. Highs Smiling young staff keep the mood light Quirky, playful touches add character: eclectic artworks, records, stencilled murals Some rooms have free-standing bathtubs for sociable soaking We thought the guest pantry was a nice touch: help yourself to soft drinks, snacks, maybe an ice cream Having a spa in the building is a good fallback if the city's Thermae Spa is busy, or you want more privacy Lows With such a wide range of rooms, we advise checking the options carefully when booking Entry level rooms are compact, and come with shower only (no tubs) Some top-floor rooms have slightly lower ceilings Parking is limited, as you'd expect in Bath" - Michael Cullen

No 15 Great Pulteney | Best places to stay in Bath

"This elegant townhouse – well, it’s actually 6 interconnected ones – is designed with a mix of reverence for its Georgian roots and an eye for modern art. There’s an often-lively bar, a snug dining room and six treatment rooms packed in downstairs, including the brilliantly OTT Copper Room, complete with a huge copper bath. Even the smallest of the hotel’s 37 rooms are thoughtfully laid out and boast walk-in showers and a record table (with LPs available from reception). There’s real attention to detail throughout  – you can even be met at Bath Spa Station by a member of staff who will transport your luggage for you and give you a map to get your city break started. If it’s your first time to Bath and you want to be within walking distance of its delights, this is the perfect jumping-off point. " - Sian Lewis

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I am a slightly picky traveller. This place exceeded our expectations in every way. The website almost doesn't do it justice. The rooms are so charming, full of thought and quality furnishings, linens. They have big fluffly robes and slippers, a Nespresso coffee bar, and oversized tubs with bath salts for soaking, which I took full advantage of. I had a "large guest room" (room #20) with high ceilings, tons of windows, a king-size bed, and a beautiful chandelier; all the furnishings are lovely. The bathroom was spacious and featured a shower and a tub. The lobby and bar area are so charming and cozy. The property exudes that quintessential charm I was hoping for on our first trip to Bath. The staff couldn't have been nicer. My only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer, and believe me, we tried adding a night, but they were already sold out. (We were there during the Christmas Market, so it was a slightly busier time, evidently. We absolutely loved Bath and Guesthouse No 15!!!

My husband and I stayed at No. 15 Bath by GuestHouse for one night in November 2025. The hotel is in a beautiful listed Georgian building and really is quintessential Bath. Our room was generously proportioned with an en-suite bathroom and large windows overlooking the rooftops and green hills beyond. Like all the GuestHouse hotels it had a pantry offering complimentary drinks, sweets, snacks and ice creams for guests. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant, occupying an intimate table for two in the window. The restaurant was full and had a lovely cosy atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and jolly, chatting to us throughout. It is a bit of a walk from all of the hustle and bustle but being located on a quiet street meant we slept undisturbed. No dedicated parking but had no issues parking in one of the local carparks about 10 minutes away. We stayed midweek so may be harder to park at the weekends. Didn’t get a chance to visit their spa on this visit but perhaps next time!

Worthy of the hotel’s recommendation in the New York Times. The decor, service and staff are exceptional (shoutout to Ellen!). There is a pantry where you can stock up with complimentary crisps, popcorn, fruit, sparkling drinks, ice cream and sweets. Location is perfect, just a 10 minute walk to central Bath. Onsite parking is £25 per night but bookings recommended as there are a limited number of spots. Would stay in the separate Coach House again which is separate from the main hotel - it is quiet, secluded and private. Overall, this is an excellent accommodation option for those looking for a luxurious stay in Bath.

Beautiful hotel, very chic. Our room was tastefully decorated and had a record player which was a nice touch. The hotel is a walk away from the city centre with plenty of places to visit. ||We had dinner at the hotel which was excellent. Loved the additional treats of a snack bar on the top floor. Also enjoyed a couple massage in the Spa with was needed after a long day visiting Bath.||The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay.||We completed a 'treasure hunt' around the city which was good to find places you would otherwise miss. The Roman Baths were a must as was the Abbey.

I absolutely loved our stay here. My only regret is staying only one night because we stayed at another place called the Yard which was not at all great compared to this. The rooms were fantastic and they have vinyl players in the room were such a lovely touch and the staff members were also great. Ellen specially was so nice and she gave us amazing suggestions with what to do during our time in Bath. We also loved the pantry they offered for some lovely snacks. All in all I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience at No.15 Guesthouse. We chose the hotel based on dog-friendliness and we were not disappointed. Waffle loved the treats and the dog-toy. The staff were all brilliant, and the food and cocktails were delicious. We also recieved a complimentary upgrade from a regular room to a Junior Suite which was a lovely surprise!

This is an excellent central hotel with beautiful, clean rooms and a great staff. Lovely personal touches like a pantry for snacks and a turntable in the room with a selection of vinyl available to play.||Everyone we met was professional, friendly and genuinely looking to ensure we had a great stay. Lovely bar with great cocktails and food.||Highly recommended.

We made a last minute decision to visit to Bath to explore the sites and to celebrate a birthday and managed to book two nights at the No15. This fortunately included parking; with hindsight city centre parking would not have been easy for us.|On arrival a courteous and professional welcome. However , as previously commented on, we also found our room temperature to be far too hot. Management did work to try to resolve this during our stay but this is obviously a recurring problem and is disappointing for a 'quality' hotel.|With so many so many quality restaurants within easy walking distance we did not eat in the restaurant in the evenings ( we also found the menu not offering food to our taste and being rather uninviting) , breakfast was excellent.|Overall, a pleasant stay in a great location,
