Their new West Village location is undeniably cute, but extremely small. There are only three tiny round tables and no restroom. We had to squeeze onto a narrow bench and hard marble stools, all while wearing bulky puffers in a crowded space. The music was also so loud that my friend and I could barely hold a conversation.
Food-wise, we shared a focaccia sandwich ($12.5), which was really delicious. It came with kale, salami, dried cherries, and cream cheese. The focaccia had a crunchy top with a fluffy interior. But for the price, they could have been a bit more generous with the salami.
We also tried the Persian Love Cake ($5.5), flavored with cardamom and rose water. It was beautiful and fragrant.
Unfortunately, the flat white ($5) was underwhelming. I’ll probably stick to their pastries on future visits.
