Orange County’s Instagram-Ready Dessert Store Makes Its Debut on Convoy | Eater San Diego

"Opening this month in the Convoy Court shopping complex in the Convoy District, Nobibi brings picture-worthy Asian desserts dreamed up by executive chef Shirley Shinn, including the Dream Cloud—a swirl of ice cream floating in a pillow of housemade cotton candy topped with rock candy and Pocky sticks—and a parfait layered with ice cream, fresh strawberries, crystal boba, Pocky, and cornflakes dusted with freeze-dried strawberry “blush” for extra fruity flavor. Its beverages follow trends too, from Dalgona drinks with taro or caramel paste to fruit-based options like lychee-dragonfruit and a line of Biscoff drinks such as Biscoff Dalgona coffee and a Biscoff Milk Frosty. Other visually appealing desserts include specialty soft-serve cones: the Ninja (activated black charcoal and black sesame), the luxurious D’Or gilded with a sheet of 24-carat gold, and the S’more topped with popcorn and a toasted marshmallow. Launched in Chino Hills in February 2020, Nobibi now has five stores around Orange County; the Convoy location is the brand’s first in San Diego, and the owners say they intend to open a San Marcos outpost by November 2024, followed by one at Westfield UTC, with plans for two branches in Mexico City and one in Los Cabos." - Helen I. New Restaurants and Bars Opening in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"Replacing the long-tenured Yogurt World in the Convoy District, Nobibi will offer fanciful Asian-inspired desserts at 4646 Convoy Street #113 such as the Dream Cloud (ice cream nested in fresh cotton candy topped with rock candy and Pocky), the Ninja (activated black charcoal and black sesame ice cream), and the D’Or (a scoop draped with a sheet of 24-carat gold), plus egg waffles fillable with sweet or savory ingredients, Dalgona coffees, and fruit refreshers; the local franchise owner plans to open at least two more San Diego locations." - Candice Woo

This was my first time visiting and I loved it. The atmosphere of the store is so cute and aesthetic. The ice cream itself is delicious! I tried the Red Bean & Taro and was amazed at how delicious it was. I will definitely be sure to visit again and try various flavors. Highly recommend!

Parking in this plaza was insane. It’s a paid lot. More parking on the street or nearby lots, both free and pre pay. This little dessert shop offered ice cream, shakes, cotton candy. We took our nephew and niece here specifically for cotton candy. I like that they offer different sizes but limited by color. Just pink or blue. It came in mini, large, dream cloud or mini cloud. The cotton acts as a “cloud” and surrounds the soft serve or other treats. You must order on the kiosk which was easy because of the photos but I had questions and no one was around to answer because they’re all busy prepping orders. We also go: Avocado ice cream - crushed corn flakes, coconut flakes, fresh slices of avocado, vanilla soft serve not ice cream. This was good, not too sweet but $7.99 for a tiny cup was too much when only 1/4 of the avocado was used. Strawberry dole float - strawberry flavor dole whip in strawberry juice topped with 3 slices of fresh strawberries. The juice was too syrupy for me. It’s a nice treat if you’re already in the area but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here. Only the cotton candy was worth it for the kids but I wish they made cartoon characters.

Google
The dessert is not sweet sweet. It is creamy and flavorful but not all that sugar in the ice cream or cone. The staff are very kind and are patient. The inside is super cute and was overall very impressed. Will be back for sure.

Google
Walked into a surprisingly spacious area after see a sandwich board advertising mango Ice cream. The kind and informative staff walked me through some menu questions. The mango ice cream was super. Creamy, thick and substantial. The small was good to share with another. And the brown sugar dalgano coffee was a great finish.

Google
Cute little spot with tasty desserts that are not too sweet! We tried the chocolate swirl ( 1 free topping) and dalgona cocoa coffee (cold), both were super good. There's enough seating inside the cafe but parking could be a challenge sometimes (rush hour).

Google
We tried Nobibi for the first time and loved it! We got the Ninja ice cream and the Cotton Cloud, and both were as fun as they looked. The Ninja had that deep cookies-and-cream vibe with a hint of charcoal… smooth, creamy, and not too sweet. (Hint: don’t peel the wrapper off the cone it’ll make a big mess). The Cotton Cloud was a soft-serve wrapped in fluffy cotton candy that made the whole thing feel like a dream dessert. Super cute presentation, friendly service, and totally Instagram-worthy.

Google
My friend invited us to try Nobibi in Convoy for dessert, and I couldn’t be happier with what we had! The server was super helpful, offering us sample tastes of different ice cream flavors. I ended up choosing chocolate and vanilla, below is cereals, topped with sprinkles, and cotton candy so fun and delicious! I even tried two of my friend’s desserts, and they were great, but mine was perfect for me. The place has a welcoming vibe, and the servers were wonderful. Totally worth it, and I highly recommend giving it a try!

Google
Sooo tasty with a wide variety of menu items! My family and I have been back twice in the last two days. That’s how delicious it is here. The soft serves are carefully crafted- this is the most potent coffee flavored ice cream we’ve had. Not to mention, everything on the menu is so cute and delicately decorated! Reasonable prices & very kind staff. Our new favorite!

Yelp
The interior is so cute with lots of seating! They have a wide variety of options but we came to try their soft serve combination. You can either order on the kiosk or at the register & wait for your order to be called which comes out quickly. * Red Bean & Taro Ice Cream - 8.8/10 (we loved the taro paste & the red bean bits. it adds a subtle sweetness to the vanilla soft serve. at the bottom there are corn flakes which were not stale at all. we appreciate the nice crunch in texture. this combination is delicious, but we do wish the soft serve was flavored taro or red bean as we were expecting. nonetheless, this is a yummy dessert to share!)

Yelp
We wanted a refreshing dessert after dinner, and decided to check out Nobibi. I didn't know they actually have quite a few locations, including Indonesia. I got the mango mellow ice cream ($7.99), and it came with crystal pearls and mango chunks spread pretty evenly throughout. The mango puree and cornflakes were mostly at the bottom of the cup so it got a bit too sweet in my last bites. My friend got the strawberry blush ($6.99) which had strawberries, crystal boba and cornflakes. It came with a good amount of strawberry slices, and even had two strawberry pocky sticks at the top. He enjoyed it! The service was pretty quick, and it had a good amount of tables for the amount of customers. The parking was tough because it's in the same plaza as Fire Spot, Tasty Noodle House, and Taco Stand. All in all, this is a solid dessert spot!

Yelp
It was our first time. Parking can be a bit of a challenge because they are located around several others businesses that share the same lot. We tried the dairy free Dole strawberry mini cloud, it was so good!! I'd definitely order that flavor again! I also ordered the jasmine green tea. The tea was very strong even with sweetener. They have plenty of seating & one single bathroom. Staff is friendly. We will definitely return!
google avatar

Yelp
Service is friendly. There is a wide array of different types of desserts to choose from. Decently priced. Cute place with photo ops. My candy cotton dream cloud was cute and delicious. I highly recommend this place to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Yelp
This is a cute relatively new dessert spot in the heart of Convoy! It is located in the same plaza as Firespot and Obriens. We tried the strawberry blush and mango mellow ice cream desserts. Aesthetics are on point especially for the strawberry blush. I enjoyed the real fruit pieces in the desserts. They do lean on the sweet side and I typically prefer a more mild sweetness level for desserts. Overall was a solid experience.

Yelp
When we went, there wasn't too many people, so we got a quick, friendly service. We got Dubai chocolate special and it was so good. Mind you we were already very full from our lunch but this scrumptious dessert was perfect way to end our food adventure for the day. The chocolate ice cream with pistachio powder, corn flakes, etc soooo good!

Yelp
Cute and clean interior. Icecream themed with tables and a small seating area. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Drinks were fantastic, some new combinations.

Yelp
Nobibi specializes in handcrafted desserts made from fresh fruit and premium ice cream, all served in a boutique, colorful setting. I've tried a few different items from here: - Mango Mellow - Light, fruity, refreshing and perfect for a warm day. You get to choose 1 of 6 ice cream flavor options to pair with it. - Milk Ice Cream Flavor - Smooth and creamy, with a nice balance of sweetness. - Mango Milk Ice Cream Flavor - My favorite! Creamy, tropical, and satisfying. It's something I'd come back for. - Peach Tea - Refreshing and not overly sweet, a solid choice if you're in the mood for something lighter. Their color-changing spoons was a nice little surprise! They turn purple when they touch something cold, how neat. Overall, everything I tried was pretty good, and the mango milk ice cream flavor in particular stood out.

Yelp
Had dinner across the street and walked over to get dessert. We tried their Mango and Dubai Chocolate sundaes and both were very good! The ice cream is creamy and not too sweet. The corn flakes are all on the bottom so I recommend trying to mix them when you're halfway down. Would definitely come again.

Yelp
Pretty good restaurant! This place is on the newer end and I think it's a great addition to the area!! Located near Rakiraki, the fire spot, and the taco stand, parking here can be a bit tough. To rate the food, I got the strawberry blush with milk ice cream and others got the avocado ice cream and the soft serve! Overall everything was really good! I enjoyed my dish as I like strawberry but the flavor of mango was really nice in the soft serve. The service was nice and the food came out very quickly after ordering. Your desserts may come at different times even if you order under one name so just be warned f

Yelp
Such a great spot for some dessert. The girl behind the counter greeted us and advised that she was training a new staff member and that the process may be just a little longer than normal. That was really nice of her to advise us of this. The dessert came out very fast and the Dubai chivalry ice cream was so good. The cereal was on the bottom so once you get down a little, mix it up so you get some of that crunch with each bite. The mango ice cream our friends got was also delicious just make sure you don't forget to add the milk if you any it. The picture shows it but it doesn't come out that way unless you add it. The restaurant was very clean, organized and modern. We did have a hard time finding the garbage which was hidden behind a group of people but that was the only hiccup. Definitely will be back to try the egg puff ice cream.

Yelp
There is authentic, stellar, delicious sweet spots such as Stellas, Handels. Then there are over the top carnival insane sugar spots such as nobibi. If you have 4-7 year olds they will love it here. My son got some ice cream cotton candy wackmobile. My daughter got strawberry dole with fruity pebbles? I'm a standard strawberry guy and I got the strawberry dole with apparently strawberry Fanta? One sip of that must have contained 75g of sugar. I just ate maybe 3 bites of the strawberry dole and was satisfied. The decor is cool. Everything seems to be aimed toward social media spreading these days. The fine details were a bit grimy. Mango sauce on the table, vanilla spills on the trash can, who knows what grime on the floors. Still a cool spot though. As an adult you could skip this, if you have kids it's a destination.

Yelp
FIRE!! This ice cream was so rich and creamy and delicious. My roommate and I tried the taro and dubai chocolate. Wowza. Service was quick and lovely, vibes are good. Highly recommend for some baller ice cream!!

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night with a friend. Parking was horrendous as always, and it was worsened by the rain. It was pretty busy inside too. Thankfully, we were able to get a spot in the lot. Recommend parking along the street during this time. I got the biscotti ice cream which was pretty average and a little too sweet for me. (Definitely not as sweet as American ice cream though!) Overall, I wasn't blown away by my experience; it was an average experience so it gets an average rating.

Yelp
Added Nobibi to my places to try after it popped up on my IG, and picked a perfect a warm summer day to visit. If you know the area, parking can be hard to find sometimes and Nobibi is nestled between lots of restaurants and a perfect stop for dessert. The interior has a clean and modern feel with mostly white furniture and some cute couches. What really impressed me is the menu - so many great creative options that made it hard to decide what to get but good thing the staff is so helpful here. They let me sample one of the ice cream flavors and I decided on the red bean & taro + chocolate twist, and my dessert partner got the popular Dubai chocolate. The other thing I would say about their menu is the prices are decent (especially after spending about $12 on a milkshake the other day). I concluded that the soft serve ice cream has a perfect amount of flavor and much attention to detail, making every creation beautiful. The only small comment I had is to add a little of the Dubai chocolate topping (kataifi I think) throughout or a layer on the bottom. But otherwise both ice creams were delicious.

Yelp
While the combinations looked interesting, the soft serve quality wasn't memorable. Unfortunately by the time we arrived, they were sold out of the caramel soft serve. There was a self serve tablet but I preferred ordering with the staff member at the front. Strangely we asked for a receipt and didn't receive one. Our name wasn't taken so we awkwardly watched the counter for our order. Other parties were called by number so I would keep the receipt. Spoons, napkins and straws were also self serve. *Ninja: the website advertised charcoal but we received choco. The soft serve left a strange film on my tongue and the chocolate flavor wasn't rich. It honestly tasted similar to those found in buffets. There was barely any pop rock topping and this combination was lackluster. *Egg Puff Ice Cream: had the most heft for the price. The egg puff came out hot and thick but the batter wasn't cooked well. The exterior was barely cooked through so there wasn't any crisp and the inside was mushy. I chose milk for the soft serve and it was creamy. *Flora: tasted like a fancier milk. I didn't care for the "flavored dust" but the chamomile had a pleasant scent. The included cone added some chocolate notes that didn't pair nicely. Overall, the base soft serve was good but the topping quality was mediocre. Nothing was special and I found each aspect done better in other locations in SD. The toppings need some improvement or at least taste less stale. The heart spoons and decor were cute but everything else needs work.

Yelp
Delicious ice cream! Soft serve and a very light flavor with aesthetic creations. We went here to try somewhere new and loved it! The staff was very nice and we loved the vibe the place had! I had the Ninja and loved it and my partner had The Mini cloud which she loved too! Im definitely trying the Strawberry Dole Float next!

Marie C.

Yelp
Was looking forward to trying this spot but it was underwhelming. Flavors felt poorly executed but would be suited more-so for kids.
google avatar

Chun P.

Yelp
Tasty, delicious, sweet, and lovely soft serve treats served in a wide variety of different, beautiful and colorful creations. I've never had Dubai Chocolate before, so i'm no expert, but it was tasty, albeit seemed a bit pricey. Friendly folks working and a cute ambience if you can find a seat on a crowded Saturday night.
google avatar

Kayla B.

Yelp
Great place to stop for ice cream - fun, creative options! You can self-order via their kiosks which is convenient. Service was fast. Definitely coming back!
google avatar

Hannah C.

Yelp
Came in for a sweet treat after dinner the other night and I saw they have a Dubai chocolate ice cream on the menu. New item. I love anything Dubai chocolate so I ordered it. It was pretty good, I would order it again. The ice cream had a minty flavor to it which was just ehhh in my opinion. I liked the crunchy katayfi all throughout and I really liked the crunchy corn flakes at the very bottom of the cup. The service was good, the workers were nice and the items came out pretty quickly. They do military discount here- FYI. The ambiance is good here, very well lit up and cute, they could use more seating though. Stop by here if you're in the area.
google avatar

Natasha P.

Yelp
I've always passed this place but today was my first time going in. I'm so glad I did because everything looked so delicious, it was so hard to make a decision. I am so sad that I'm lactose intolerant because the soft serve here looked amazing. I got the cheesy foam strawberry slush. I thought it was okay, I definitely should've gotten a topping with it. I had a bite of my sister's soft serve and fell in love. I wish I could have eaten the whole thing. It was so delicious. I want to come back here to try the other drinks. The seating is nice, there's 2 sofas as well. The drinks took a while because it was busy.
google avatar

Yelp
New soft serve spot in kearny Mesa that gives somi somi some competition. This store has been open since last September and is serving up some delicious soft serve ice cream. I was able to sample all the flavors and the milk/vanilla is my favorite. I got the biscoff cup which was the most popular and it did not disappoint! I also tried the Oreo which was pretty good but I'd like to try other things on the menu next time. The two working (didn't get their names) were friendly, patient, and helpful. The store is pretty cool with a good amount of seating. I came on a Friday afternoon so it wasn't crowded at all, but they mentioned it does fill up Friday nights and weekends. Cool little place to hang out, but this parking plaza sucks as many of you may know!
google avatar

Lina P.

Yelp
Finally came to try this out! Visit was around 4 pm so it was not crowded at all. They have a pretty good variety of things from ice cream, to floats, to drinks, to even cotton candy! The interior is sooo cute and has so many different backdrops. Perfect for all those photos! Service as good but we opted to order on the self service kiosk which has images of items, extra details of what ingredients each item is created with, and also other specialty/seasonal items you would not know of otherwise. First item was a chocolate ice cream on a green cone with matcha sprinkle. First off, this was sooo cute! For me, the chocolate ice cream was good but nothing that wowed me. The matcha sprinkle I had was also a bit too chalky and overpowering for me, I should've opted without it. They can cute little flowers in it which I did not eat. My boyfriend has a bite and said it was bitter lol. Next he got the dole float. I'm not sure if this is the authentic dole whip-it might not be since it said dole ice cream?? Not sure but I still liked it but he said it was ok. The float itself-we were not a fan of. Of course the description is only on the kiosk which he didn't read. He thought it came with like a soda or something but it actually came with pineapple juice and pineapple jam I believe. It was like overload in pineapple. If you love pineapple that much, go for it! Last I got an oolong tea with mochi jelly 75% sweetness. Presentation was again so cute. Tastewise, the tea flavor was not that strong and for 75% sweetness it tasted pretty bland to me. The mochi jelly was good, I just wish they had boba. Overall, this was a cute little place. I'd come back to try a different drink. Ice cream flavor wise. Options are pretty limited. They do offer samples.
google avatar

Ashley P.

Yelp
We got the flora with strawberry dust and it was really good. It tasted like milk ice cream. The inside is super cute. Parking is horrible tho in the plaza.
google avatar

Kristine L.

Yelp
My new favorite thing now is avocado on ice cream!!! This is a MUST TRY if you're in the San Diego area. For about $8 - you get a soft serve with fresh avocado and corn flakes. The avocado adds an incredible creamy texture to the ice cream. They also have a variety of other sweet treats to try. Plenty of seating and a bathroom inside, however parking can be a nightmare during busy hours. You may have to wait for a car to leave or park on the street. Overall, highly recommend for your dessert fix. The store isn't normally busy.
google avatar

Danielle C.

Yelp
Good soft serve! I tried the original (milk) flavor with Oreo sprinkles and it was very creamy. It tasted like a nicer smoother soft serve than what I'm used to. I would eat here again!
google avatar

Liann S.

Yelp
I wanted to try Nobibi since I had heard it was newer in Convoy! The dessert was really good, I went for the Biscoff Soft Serve with Milk Ice Cream. San Diego doesn't have a lot of Soft Serve specialized stores so this is a good break from our endless boba options. Love that you can choose which soft serve flavor you like regardless of which "topping" selection you order on the menu. There are a few tables and seating is pretty good for being a smaller space. Only qualm I have is with the parking (but that's the case for every place in the Convoy area). The parking lot is very busy and I usually don't even try and am able to find parking on the side streets.
google avatar

Pam B.

Yelp
Cute spot. Very nice simple decor with some seating. There were 2 employees and they were super quick in getting our orders ready. Ice creams were very delicious. Very smooth and creamy. The affogato was very strong. I probably shouldn't have gotten both the ice cream and the coffee, had affogato overload and massive caffeine crash afterwards lol. Will come again.
google avatar

Danny D.

Yelp
This place was on my list for a long time and I was super excited to try it. For those that love avocado as a dessert, I would not recommend this place. The dessert I got was lacking of any flavor. The avocado was bland and was accompanied by a bland vanilla soft serve. The service was quick and the place was very aesthetic, but I'd probably recommend trying another dessert. Parking is hard to come by even though there's a parking lot here. It's paid but free for a certain time period if you're visiting the restaurants here.
google avatar

Jalina R.

Yelp
Just want to start off by saying that finding parking is tough. Definitely need to have patience or park on the street or park far and walk. We were lucky, we found parking. Service was friendly. We ordered an Oreo Ice Cream and Dubai Chocolate Ice cream. Both yummy and delicious. It's a soft serve kinda ice cream and when you get to the bottom there is some yummy crunchy deliciousness. We would come back, if we get lucky with parking again lol
google avatar

Cindy K.

Yelp
I was craving ice cream that wasn't too sweet, and I'm so happy I tried Nobibi! I got the biscoff ice cream, which is the plain milk base with caramel, cornflakes and a biscoff for the toppings. The milk base ice cream was so delicious and not too sweet. I loved how creamy the ice cream was. The interior is decorated very nicely, and there is a lot of seating. Service was great -- they are friendly and allow you to sample their flavors! I will be back again! :)
google avatar

Paris O.

Yelp
The place is so nicely decorated, with cute ice creams to the wall, the owner could tell it was our first time there and he explained the menu and offered us samples! We got coffee but will definitely come back for the ice cream as the flavors are nice and rich. We got Dalgona coffee which was sooo good The coffee is a cream cap with milk to mix with, is it on the sweeter side since it's "dalgona" cream
google avatar

Anthony A.

Yelp
This is a nice change of pace to the ice cream shops. Depending on the ice cream you get. The taste is a unique fusion. The vanilla is not exactly what you think it would taste like. The vanilla in the fruity pebbles, had a citrus twist to it. It was not overwhelming. It just adds a little something extra. The Oreo's vanilla also had a Cream Cheese taste to it. I loved both. This place has a great upscale design. This place has designs everywhere you look. From the wall paper, to the light pendants. The workers are polite and fast, while taking passion for their making skills. They also have sweet thick coffee options. If you don't have diabetes, jump on one of those.
google avatar

Vivan T.

Yelp
My kids took me to this shop's grand opening special where they had 50% off the entire menu. They ordered a bunch of drinks but got me and their dad the black sesame ice cream. The black sesame ice cream was thick and creamy, and had very strong black sesame flavor. We liked it as it wasn't too sweet. Parking was hard to find--we parked in the neighborhood farther away and walked over. Inside there was a lot of tables and chairs to sit.

Yelp
Nobibi recently opened a franchise ice cream/ tea shop in the Convoy shopping strip and I had to try it. Plenty of free parking in the lot. After looking at the menu which offered lots of variety of flavors. There were some dairy free option made with Dole fruit. I chose the chocolate and taro soft serve ice cream with just a sprinkle of fruit pebbles for visual effect. After a few pics, the first taste was delightful! The chocolate was not too sweet and the taro was a tad sweeter but paired nicely with the fruity pebbles adding a crunch factor. This shop is new and was clean and decorated with neon wall signage and cool background music. The staff behind the counter were nice, helpful and service was expeditious. Self ordering kiosk available and all cashless. Only indoor seating. Would be nice if outdoor seating was available, because this shop attracts lots of people particularly teens and kids who were loud. Nobibi's started 10 years ago in Chino Hills and has expanded with multiple locations domestically and internationally. With it's mission to offer uniquely created desserts that will make you want to return for more, I'd say Nobibi did it, because after enjoying my ice cream treat I will be back for more. ¡¡¡Recommend!!!

Yelp
Cute shop with friendly service! We tried a few of the more unique options (dubai chocolate ice cream and avocado ice cream) which may have just not been our taste. Would still love to return and try other things
google avatar

Iris Y.

Yelp
Tried the ube and red bean ice cream and honestly loved it. The ube was super creamy, and the red beans gave it that perfect sweet bite. It's a little different but in the best way- feels like comfort dessert with a twist. The staff so sweet and friendly
google avatar

Dary P.

Yelp
This place has been in my list. We wanted something sweet and realized this place is open until 11 pm. We came an hour before they closed. A lot of people were still in there but we were able to get a table. The staff were really friendly and the place is super cute and clean. We ordered the following: 1.) Red bean & taro ice cream (red bean, taro paste, and corn flakes) 2.) Biscoff ice cream (corn flakes, biscoff cookie and caramel crumble) The cashier asked if we wanted to change our ice cream flavors but we stuck to the milk ice cream. The ice creams came out quick and were super yummy and had the perfect amount of sweetness and toppings. Definitely will be back to try other flavors.

Yelp
Super delicious! My favorite was the Avocado selection. Nice vibe and friendly staff! Will be back for more desserts :)

Yelp
Stopped by for dessert after lunch at another nearby restaurant because I saw a super cute cafe I knew I had to try. The whole shop is decorated in pastel ice creams it was a very photogenic cafe for their equally pretty drinks and ice creams. My husband was so excited to see dole whip on the menu as it's been a long time favorite if his. I order the Dalgona brûlée coffee and he ordered a dole whip float. We were both very impressed! The dole whip itself was very much like Disney's, the slush, fruit and juice just made it all even better. Very light and refreshing, not overly sweet. The Dalgona coffee was a bit sweeter than I like, I think only because of the brûlée flavor. It was still a very rich and creamy flavor and texture, I would definitely order again, but may be a different flavor to try. I definitely need to return to try their extensive ice cream options!

Yelp
Yes, yes, yes! Super clean inside. Fresh & made to order desserts & drinks! The staff made sure we got what we ordered. They could have been a little friendlier, but it was still very efficient service. I also love the decor in here! Very cute for pics!

Yelp
Ate lunch nearby and wanted some dessert and found this place via Yelp! It was close by so we walked there in the little plaza.. such a cute dessert place! It was fully packed when we came in. The decor they had was very cute and it was very clean. They had Christmas decor up too for the holiday, loved it. The strawberry blush cup was super good! I loved the strawberry crunch they had on it along with the cornflakes at the bottom. I didn't even realize there was crystal boba in the middle, my favorite! For 6.99, this is so worth it. Plenty of ice cream that is super smooth. Their chocolate ice cream cone is delicious! Loved how the chocolate ice cream isn't overly sweet like milk chocolate. The biscoff ice cream cup was really good as well! I gotta come back for the cloud dessert.. they also have kids size as well which I think is the perfect size if you don't want too much sugar for the day. They have cute little heart shovel looking spoons, lol. Customer service is amazing, everyone was very nice and the guy at the register was very helpful when we were ordering. Will def come back.

Yelp
Walked past this place a couple times and had to finally give it a try! So glad we did-- this place is AMAZING!!! The menu is huge with a diverse selection of sweet treats. There's speciality ice creams, drinks, as well as cotton candy and bubble waffles. There's a wide variety of ice cream flavors that are both unique and tasty! The shop itself is spacious with lots of seating options and aesthetic photo ops. The gentleman that helped us, Jacob, was extremely helpful and informative when helping us decide what to get! I went with the ninja ice cream and my boyfriend got a jasmine milk tea with cheese foam. The ninja was a really cool dark color in a chocolate cone with pop rocks and other adornments! The ice cream is very smooth and not too sweet, with a rich chocolate flavor. The jasmine milk tea was also very bold and smooth, which I found delightful as jasmine teas are typically too mellow for my liking. The cheese foam on top was also very thick and flavorful! Overall, this place is completely worth the trip! I'll absolutely be back to try more!!!

Yelp
Been meaning to try this dessert spot in convoy. Overall pretty satisfied and its a great addition to the Convoy community. Located in the same lot as Raki Raki, parking is terrible. Those who know, know that the parking lot is probably one of the worst lots of convoy, if not is the worst. It's small, tight and competing with so many other good spots. The place itself is super cute and clean. Love the cute holiday decor and they have a decent amount of seating as well. No issues with service. They checked all the boxes for good customer service. They got the job done, were clean, no issues there. I liked the food in all honesty. The taro and biscoff was my favorite. Surprisingly it was a really good combo and pretty refreshing. I liked the concept of smores, but the popcorn was a little questionable. I think if it was graham cracker crust instead that would have been better. But they have a lot on the menu that I'm willing to try! If you're willing to sacrifice your time for parking, then this is the spot to try!

Yelp
A SoCal dessert and drink shop has opened its newest location in the Convoy Court of Kearny Mesa which is arguably the busiest of the plazas in this Asian business district. Nobibi is currently in a soft opening phase until this upcoming weekend. A 20% discount is being applied to all orders during this period. The inside of the suite was nicely decorated and very social media friendly. A tall menu screen was mounted on the wall behind the service counter. The featured products were soft serve ice cream decorated with colorful toppings (e.g. cotton candy) in a cone or cup. About ten preset combinations were available. Milk/fresh/fruit teas, slushes, coffees, frosties, and soda crushes were the drink categories. A self service kiosk was available to take orders if the line at the counter was too long. I chose the Strawberry Blush which was vanilla soft serve in a cup with corn flakes, freeze-dried strawberry "blush," and crystal boba as toppings. The dessert was a fancy strawberry sundae with crunchy texture added from the corn flakes and chewiness from the boba pearls. All of the preset products were crafted to be visually appealing and mine was no different. Tastewise, it was alright, but I think there's higher quality ice cream in this neighborhood. If photos and video clips are your thing, then Nobibi will certainly offer ample opportunities to fulfill that activity.

Yelp
This place was great! The soft serve was creamy and the service was pretty fast. We got the salted caramel and milk in a cone and the dubai chocolate. Dubai chocolate was very chocolate-y and the topping gave it a nice texture. My only issue was the sugar cone they gave me had the paper wrapper on it that gets stuck to the cone because its glued so I wasn't able to finish it all.
