"Coffee obsessives can stroll down to the Railroad District for a quality coffee and watch the roasting in action. Owner Jared Rennie knows his beans, and his place is a welcoming mix of industrial comforts, Wi-Fi inside and out, and house-baked muffins, scones, and pastries daily." - Susanne Robertson, Eater Staff

The baristas were very intentional to remember my name and speak kindly and directly to me. They were very appreciative of our visist and are very passionate about their craft. Coffee was delicious and my daughter loved the blackberry scone. We were able to charge our phones and they have clean and large restrooms as well. We will definitely stop here again.

When I lived in Ashland I visited here often. The ambiance is great and friendly staff. It's nice to see them roasting the coffee right there in the cafe. It's organic and you can tell they care about their craft. I live in Florida now and order their whole bulk beans online. Just wanted to say thanks for roasting such delicious coffee 😀

Google
Great 'off the tourist trail' coffee shop & pastries. Latte was very good as were the muffins. Quiet inside or outside. Easy walk from mid-town.

Ivan Silantyev

Google
Maybe my favorite coffee shop/roastery in the area. Stellar coffee, and I’m addicted to their cascara tonic. Cool, airy space in the railroad district—it seems like it’s always busy but there’s still ample seating (and outlets!) if you need to get work done.

Alan Hellawell

Google
Love the punch of the 2-shot 8-oz hot cappuccino (9 out of 10 stars). Really pleasant staff behind counter.

Kristin Diversi

Google
The coffee is lovely and I appreciate the options of different milks. What really capped the experience though: the person at the register took their time with us, including our five year old son, and asked us if we were traveling. He gave us a coupon for shipping if we liked the coffee. We will be using it.

Google
Get yourself an eggnogged coffee while it’s still holiday season. Otherwise you’ll have to settle for delicious thoughtfully crafted coffee from friendly bubbly staff in a spacious relaxed setting without eggnog!?! Not to brag but an elder with a gorgeous mustache did a painting of me by surprise. Maybe he was an angel. Or a ghost. Aaaaaaanyway best coffee shop experience of my life?

Alexis Busso

Google
Spacious cafe with high ceilings and a relaxing ambiance. Great for working on your laptop, reading a book alone or socializing with some friends. Staff are very kind. Didn’t get a chance to try any of the pastries but would definitely love to come back. The chai was amazing!

Yelp
After a 4 year absence and thanks to COVID and other life happenings, Gayle and I returned to Ashland earlier this week. In addition to attending world class plays, we love to walk around town. One of our strolls returned us to Noble, where enjoyed a mid-afternoon outside table, with a black coffee for me and a latte for Gayle. The neighborhood is largely the same, save for a closed art gallery and another nearby restaurant that didn't make it. We didn't stay at the nearby Peerless this time around, but this Railroad District local remains one of our favorites, of which Noble remains very much a part. I pointed out to Gayle that I was here when Noble first opened and that draft beer was served at that time. They also had a coffee window downtown, that is now a burrito business. Other than that, the interior space, outdoor seating, quality offerings, and good service at Nobel remains the same.

Chris S.

Yelp
After chatting with a friend I wanted to give Noble another go with a different beverage choice. I purchased a cappuccino and unfortunately, the experience was about the same. The acidic sharp twang pulled through the milk of the cappuccino and instead of tasting smooth drink with two components blending together it felt separated and distinguishable. It was certainly more drinkable than the espresso straight but not something I would get again. The energy of the room is a mix between hustle and bustle and working energy with lots of people getting work done but a fair turn over of customers. One personal thing is I find the chairs fairly uncomfortable but that may just be a me thing. Service is kind and great, full props to them!

Yelp
Noble has the best coffee in town! If you want strong coffee that actually tastes like coffee, then Noble is for you! Their coffee beans are hands down some of the best around! The coffee shop itself has amazing ambiance! It's usually pretty busy with people working on laptops, casual coffee dates, and people enjoying their coffee while reading the morning paper. As for working here, the wifi is strong and there is plenty of seating. However, Noble can get very loud so it can be hard to concentrate. Definitely more of a social coffee shop than a working spot. Overall, Noble is a local staple!

Elena D.

Yelp
Seems like they have amazing barista artists because every picture has amazing foam art! I couldn't resist taking a pic myself. The coffee here is delicious looking and tasting. I like to test a new place with the vanilla latte as a base. It wasn't too sweet or overtaken with vanilla flavor. The coffee was smooth and overall it was just well done. We also got one of their surprise pastry boxes which was a great idea - same price as same day pastry, but you get more and it's a surprise! The inside is sparsely decorated and I enjoyed looking at the variety of older coffee pots along the wall. We didn't stay as we had to get on the road but there only seemed to be 4 chairs that looked particularly comfortable or inviting (i.e. padded), all the rest were wood or wood/metal stools. As a person that has back issues, that was disappointing. I would not be encouraged to stay very long had we sat down, but maybe that's what they're going for haha.

Dave M.

Yelp
Sublime latte with foam art so perfect you almost don't want to drink it, or put a lid on it. Saw a blackberry scone in the pastry display and ordered two. Delicious! Attractive decor and friendly service.

S P.

Yelp
Fantastic coffee shop with great coffee and service. Got some extra bags to take home and enjoy.

Sharon G.

Yelp
A lovely coffee shop (every road trippers dream) in a lovely town. This is a fantastic spot to grab a beautiful coffee, sit a while, and then grab one more for your walk around the town.

Ryan P.

Yelp
I went in towards the very tail end of the day and was not turned away but given great service and a very delicious iced latte.

Robert H.

Yelp
Best coffee in Ashland. I live in Ca but visit Ashland regularly to visit family. This coffee shop has the best bean beans in town and love the pastry selection that is also delicious and local. The staff and clientele are very friendly and natural people. If your in Ashland this is the coffee shop to visit. RH

Sue B.

Yelp
We stop at coffee shops all over the Western US and this place remains our #1 coffee shop. It's got a great coffee shop vibe, clean restrooms, friendly barristers, very clean and they roast her own beans. They were roasting beans while we were waiting for our to pour over us, Don stood at the window watching and Joe the roaster invited him to come in and chat for a few minutes. It was a very welcoming experience. They had about 8 to 10 coffee choices for the pour overs. We picked one of the newer roasts from Brazil and it was excellent along with the roast from Peru. This is a popular place says there was always someone have a lane the entire time we were there. We can see why, there's a lot of love and flavor in their coffee!

Calvin N.

Yelp
Looking for a great local coffeehouse in Ashland? Then Noble Coffeehouse is the place! I only tried their delicious soy lattes. I'll be back on my next visit to Ashland! The only thing is that they have only one size cup which is NOT a deal breaker. You can also buy their coffees the bag and they'll be happy to grind it for you.

Mikey H.

Yelp
After arriving, I came here to get some coffee beans. Friendly staff when I walked in, and they were able to grind them for me. I made it a point to return to soak in the vibe. Lots of locals and some tourists. Lots of places to sit inside and some outside. I had just finished my Mt. Kilimanjaro walk and needed caffeine and food. I ordered a cappuccino and the ham and cheese croissant. He: Which roast would you like? Me: Huh? I've never been asked this question and I just told him to pick one for me. I think it was a dark roast because it had that deep smokey flavor...soooo good! I would've liked the croissant toasted, but I think I could've asked them to do it, but it was still good! Definitely worth checking out.

Brooke F.

Yelp
This place is outrageously expensive. $5.50 for a tiny cappuccino!?!? That's more than San Francisco prices! And the smallest cappuccino I ever received. Won't be back. Will go to Case Coffee or the co-op that has cappuccinos for $3.

Isaiah G.

Yelp
We were driving passing by this town and decided to make a coffee stop. So glad we found this place. We found parking in the front. There was seating outside. The place is beautiful inside. It's very big inside and tons of seating. They had hazelnut option and a lot of different milk options. I ordered an iced hazelnut ice coffee. They have extra sweetener on the side. I did add half a pump of sweetener. The coffee is very good here. Definitely recommend trying this place.

B G.

Yelp
I loved my visit here, I'm eternally on the hunt for cozy friendly places and this is certainly one of them! I knew it was going to be a good day as soon as I walked up, met a precious pup wearing a coat, and their owner was the sweetest! When you walk into the shop there is life going on, people working or talking with one another. This is the perfect example of the third place. I didn't feel rushed asking about bakery items or coffee recommendations (I was the only one in line) but the barista was happy to chat and was interested in the book I brought in. You can expect a good hot drink and pastry with a nice atmosphere. I'll definitely be back soon! I wish they were open late

Andrea B.

Yelp
The most expensive coffee shop I've ever been to and definitely the most expensive in the area. Coffee is expensive, pastries are expensive, and they don't have a way to warm the pastries. The coffee is definitely good, but there are other coffee shops in town with reasonable prices that have just as good coffee if not better. I just can't get down with the greedy prices and cold pastries.

Yelp
HF. I search the world for the best espresso. Pulled Noble up on Yelp since my daughter and i were near Ashland on out way up to U of O. Ordered my cap from a very pleasant lady, plus a blueberry scone that had its eye on me. then my daughter and I stood to wait over near the roasting room. A guy was in the room roasting, saw us watching the roaster doing its thing and motioned us in. My daughter and l looked at each other...like, seriously??!!, hell yes! So we went in and the roaster, Nathan, gave us a tour. He even packed and sold us some beans he just roasted, JemJem from Ethiopia. so, in summary, this is one of the top 3 espresso bars I have ever been to, (equal to Balthazar in Vienna and Saigon Coffee Roastery in Saigon), the cappucino was a 10 out of 10, the scone was a 10 out of 10. The people were a 10 out of 10. and the atmosphere a 10 out of 10. Thank you Noble for doing it right.

Debra S.

Yelp
Outstanding coffee. Delicious scones. Relaxing atmosphere with comfortable seating. Friendly, prompt, accurate service. I'm looking forward to our next trip to Ashland so we can return!

Rick S.

Yelp
Came here on a recent trip with family. I had never stopped by and was curious about their press coffee. I was im-pressed (sorry) and aside from feeling the effects of over-caffeination from my moka java (yes, I'm a lightweight) I had no regrets. They offered a gluten-free (if not dairy-free) pumpkin scone for those noble among us watching their gluten intake, and the chocolate croissant was good (by American standards). I got their coffee fruit tonic too, which was pretty good as a kombucha/soda alternative. Otherwise, family members liked their Americano and latte. Service was friendly, if not fast (perhaps it was the Saturday rush hour), and I appreciated they had a carrot bran muffin on offer. Up there as one of my top go to coffee places in Ashland.

Malbe S.

Yelp
Some of the best coffee in the PNW. Great coffee options. Only the good stuff, no sugary over the top dessert drinks. Great place to meet friends and hang for a coffee meet up.

Gina H.

Yelp
A cool place to stop by along I-5 between Redding and Medford in a cozy town Ashland. :) We got a smooth latte. My husband liked it.

Noele K.

Yelp
This is a regular stop for us when traveling to Oregon. The staff is friendly and the have great coffee and pastries.

Trevor G.

Yelp
Espresso, drip, pour over all of it is good. Cool people that you can tell love what they do. Plenty of seating with some outside. My favorite coffee shop and I don't even live here.

Timothy H.

Yelp
Every time I've been to Noble it has been uniformly sunny. Noble's warm ambience and benign tolerance of eccentricities such as my own, give me a little lift in an otherwise existential existence entirely devoid of meaning. Noble Coffee-house and Roastery stokes me, it sustains me for more misadventures. All I need is that first jolt. 16-ounce black with a shot on top; no room. Actually, my first jolt was early January, on a bracing day, in brilliant sunlight, wiping out on some black ice on A Street. Broke my helmet, bruised my greater trochanter, damaged my pride. Afterwards, the baristas gave me comfort and support, and a caffeine syringe to ease the pain. It worked. Noble is kitty-corner from my favorite bike shop -- Piccadilly Cycles (https://www.piccadillycycles.com/) -- so it's a comfortable place to plant my fanny while waiting for a flat repair, or the ambulance. Good coffee too. One nit: too many post-sale promotions for my taste. Check them out: https://noblecoffeeroasting.com/

Holly P.

Yelp
Great coffee and pastries. A little snobby, like if you're from out of town you're not cool, but it's worth the snooty service because the coffee is so good. Really uncomfortable to sit there unless you get the couch, so I recommend getting coffee to go. Order the day old surprise box for pastries - they taste just as good as the fresh ones and you get 3 instead of 1 for the same price.

Geoffrey C.

Yelp
Monday morning and it was pretty empty as the rush was probably winding down. Really great industrial vibe inside and friendly folks. Latte was ok, but it was on the pricier side than I thought. Gotta get beans next time I'm in the area!

S R.

Yelp
Rude counter staff. Went today , won't be back , never made it to actually trying the coffee so no idea how good that is . HINT.. Don't work in customer service IF you don't like serving customers.

Jim J.

Yelp
The best coffee ever had in my life was here at Noble coffee in Ashland Oregon. I believe it was one of the owners or managers that made the drip coffee for me. We live in Phoenix Arizona, but noble coffee will be our to go spot when we come back to Ashland.

Cindee E.

Yelp
Excellent cold brew. Nice customer service. Loved the vibe. Big open space with lots of tables and chairs.

Tia S.

Yelp
We stopped here on a road trip in March on the way and back. This was an amazing find. The coffee was strong and smooth. Excellent for a long car ride. The store itself was lively and well visited with many but not all tables sat at. The baristas were friendly and genuinely interested in where we where going and doing. This is become a regular stopping place for us on our trips

Ken M.

Yelp
God, I love this place. I make a point to stop here and get a cup, and a pound of beans, every time I'm passing through Ashland. Not going to lie, I considered moving there just for the coffee.

Rachel D.

Yelp
Likeeeee, are you serious? New to town and needed to find the best coffee spots, obviously. Noble wins in my eyes! The oat milk latte is so smooth and has the best flavor. I often need a lil something sweet in my latte, like honey, but this is so good with nothing added to it. This place is my go-to from now on!

Randal C.

Yelp
This is a great coffee shop! The locale is spacious, the staff is friendly, the cappuccinos tasty and the homemade baked goods are fabulous! They even have GF options. We will definitely return to Noble the next time we're in Ashland!

Kerri L.

Yelp
Great space and seating. Unfortunately, with only one person at the counter taking orders but 3 baristas making drinks, the cue was long. Delicious chai and friendly service but I'd skip the baked goods. We arrived in the morning about 9:30 and the pastries already seemed a little stale. Coffee drinks were the perfect temperature and flavor.

Alisha S.

Yelp
I really like this coffee shop! Great for coffee and ambiance. For anyone though that is truly truly intolerant of gluten do not eat their oats. A lot of oats in the USA are contaminated depending on company used and I had a reaction 10 minutes after eating..., bronchial constriction, wheezing, cough, extreme fatigue and extreme anxiety. Not stores fault but the USA should probably be more in line with New Zealand's laws in regards to gluten and make it illegal to state gluten free.

Andrew G.

Yelp
They close at 4pm so it's a rare occasion that we ever have a chance to go here (perfect location for after dinner coffee...so weird to close so early). Their menu is very limited and coffee toast tastes very burnt. Starbucks is honestly best coffee in town (which is sad).

Alana K.

Yelp
Friendly barista and excellently crafted coffees. My Gibraltar was top-notch, as was my husband's accidental mocha (misheard "oat milk latte" as "mocha latte," but that's on him for not correcting them when I pointed out they read back his order wrong). A few tasty looking baked goods in their display, but I refrained. Inside was very welcoming, but we were with four-legged friend so took our orders to go. Would definitely be visiting Noble on the regular if we were here more often though.

Mila V.

Yelp
Worst coffee I've ever tried. I love the space and seating but don't go because the sour burnt espresso/coffee is terrible

Joy S.

Yelp
I'm one of these people: when I find a coffee place I like, I'll become a regular. Having said that: "during the pandemic and having been indoors for months, I need to find a new place. I've only arrived here in November so I'm still relatively new in town (and loving it!). Today was the day: I was going to try Noble Coffee. There's outdoor seating: only 5 tables and chairs, that lead me to think the place wasn't to big. "Never judge the book by its cover!" Once inside I'm pleasantly surprised by a big place. Industrial decoration looks welcoming as does the friendly welcome of the staff. Clientele are working on laptops, reading, talking. The coffee is tasty. Ashland is blessed with a good amount of individually owned (I have a feeling) coffee places. It has surprised me that the biggest corporate coffee maker even opened in this small town..... Back to Noble. It's a place where I'll definitely come and bring my laptop to get some work done while drinking coffee. They sell coffee, but are -when you look at the pictures- also selling anything coffee-related. From simple coffee mugs to high end scales and coffee makers. It was nice to meet you, Noble. I'm sure we'll become friends over time!

teel b.

Yelp
Really excellent coffe experience! Coming to this coffee house is truly a highlight of my visits to Ashland. The coffee art in my delicious cappuccino makes me feel very happy.

Kira A.

Yelp
My husband and I had a really positive and encouraging experience here this morning! The staff were so friendly and genuine. We received a delicious oat milk latte and ginger Noble tonic. Thanks again!

Cathy H.

Yelp
Best vanilla latte I've ever had! Long wait for my husbands pour over. They warned him it would take awhile to heat the water, but it almost got to the point we thought they forgot him. I was 3/4 done with mine before he got his. Carrot bran muffin we shared was awesome!

Christopher B.

Yelp
A little on the expensive side but it delivered, a great space with a nice atmosphere. It's near the railyard district which has a nice quiet, kitschy/ artsy, neighborhood vibe and there's a park nearby that is a nice walk. The oat milk latte was incredibly dark and nutty, and was so dark tasting it actually took a second getting used to. That being said it was absolutely delicious. And the blackberry scone might rank in the top 10 scones of my life maybe even top five! Still slightly warm, with crisp and flaky exterior with a slightly soft interior. Life changing.

Lilly J.

Yelp
Great coffee and friendly staff! Plenty of seating inside and a couple of outside tables that get the morning sun.

Natalie R.

Yelp
Have you ever been to an establishment and thought, "why isn't this place close to where I live"? Yeah, then you've been here. I mean, it's in Ashland Oregon. I realize a few people live in Ashland but not us. However, we wish we did because they have Noble Coffeehouse & Roastery. Great coffee and coffee drinks. Great snacks. It has an atmosphere that makes you want to quit your current job or come out of retirement just to be a part of it. I'm calling to see if they are hiring! We often think of excuses just to head to this area of the world so we can drop by for more goodies. Note they sell beans too and I believe they ship beans too.

Jazzi R.

Yelp
Hoping I can get a lifetime supply of Jibicho roasted by Erica?? Can anyone help me out with this?! But seriously, just here to say that this coffee is the best I've ever tasted. I'm blown away to be able to straight up smell the strawberries in this blend. It tastes amazing as espresso, and it blooms so beautifully when brewed in the Chemex! Freakin top notch coffee, my palate has been blessed!

Wanda G.

Yelp
FIVE STARS! Yelp never lets us down! This was one of our favorite places on our recent trip to Ashland! It's off the beaten path, but worth the short walk or drive from Main Street. Lots of street parking. It's in a cute neighborhood across from a cool Vintage Store too. Sit inside or out - lots of places to hang out. Our mochas were DELICIOUS! Smooth and creamy and with perfect latte art too! Very kind and friendly employees. Adding it to our list of places to go when we return to Oregon next time!

Liam S.

Yelp
Coffee is whatever, but the ambiance is cool. I feel like this place is so idiosyncratic of snobby coffee culture where they make coffee that doesn't taste good and tell you it's amazing cus they are hipsters. But gotta respect the start-up game. To each their own, I guess, there's a bunch of people who drink Dutch bros so popularity doesn't necessarily correlate with quality--and here's no different.

Julie D.

Yelp
Delicious coffee (we had the pressed brew Mocha Java blend), friendly staff, yummy carrot bran muffin, and nice ambience. Glad we found it on our road trip!

Lily B.

Yelp
We love visiting this place anytime we are in town. We love the coffee so much that we enjoy ordering their coffee beans online so we can enjoy a cup of our favorite coffee at home. So good!
