New Detroit Food Hall Reveals Four New Restaurants Headed Fort Street | Eater Detroit

"A return-to-town barbecue concept from a James Beard Award–winning operator and a longtime colleague that bills itself as a “healthy” take on barbecue, featuring Wagyu beef smoked or barbecued with a proprietary spice rub alongside sandwiches, salads, protein-forward milkshakes, bratwurst and hot dogs." - Brenna Houck

Google
Simply the best smokehouse I've been to in years! The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, and the array of delicious house BBQ sauces let everyone find their favorite. The nachos were delicious, my son ordered the pulled pork quesadilla and it was incredible. We also ordered their caramel heath bar cheesecake and it was absolutely amazing. Fast service, great food, and big portions! My family and I will certainly be back!

Google
We always love a good BBQ joint, and with a 4.5 rating, we knew it was worth checking out for a late lunch. We ordered the Brisket Melt Sandwich and the PBLT. Very filling and tasty amwith lots of sauce options. The brisket was very tasty and moist on a soft brioche. The caramelized onions and cheddar were the perfect complement. The beans were a fabulous three bean side. The pork belly burnt ends with lettuce, tomatoes and pickled onions was a little more challenging to eat. Very messy, but a great combo. The cold slaw was flavorful and a good serving size. The sandwiches were filling and tasty and we appreciated our waitress' recommendations. A casual welcoming setting with an outdoor seating area out front by the street. I highly recommend this popular and busy BBQ eatery. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars

Google
Not a large place so I'm sure having no wait was based on getting there early for dinner on a cold night. All the food was large portions and incredible! The ribs were perfect, bones came out clean and the meat pulled apart easily. The barbeque chicken sandwich was exactly what you are looking for. The cowboy beans had a little more spice than I expected. The pulled pork paired great with sweet potato and brisket mac and cheese. The smoked turkey sandwich was an overwhelming amount of protein and will be enjoyed for at least one more meal. I'll definitely be back again!

Google
Super cute resturant with unfortunately no parking (just don't get caught at the station). The brisket is on the fatty side but so incredibly tender and delicious, and the sides were great too! The collard greens and cornbread have so much flavor. Admittedly the mac and cheese was just okay, but everything else was phenomenal. Will definitely be back!

Google
Next to Mystic Amtrak train station. Great friendly attentive service. Lots of happy customers. My friend and I had pulled pork sandwich, macaroni and cheese, rack of ribs, corn bread (awesome), baked beans and chili. Tasty. Sauces were so so though. One concern ... The cracked broken men's toilet it's moving loose seat ( I had to tighten its screws underneath screws of which seems stripped and loosens anyway) and the growing black mold underneath. Not acceptable for a nice popular place like this. Does your manager or owner not check things like this even weekly?

Google
This place gave this southern born man joy on a plate. The Brisket Melt & Slaw were great and the Bread Pudding was worth every bite; The BBQ Sundae is huge and tasty.

Google
I reached out to the owner, Josh, about putting together some trays of BBQ for my daughter's first birthday party. He was very friendly, responsive, and helpful with recommendations. The food was ready on time and the whole experience was easy and seamless. My friends and family at the party raved about the food. Particularly good was the smoked turkey and the mac & cheese. Thank you Noble for a fantastic experience. I'd recommend you to anyone looking to cater an event.

My first time to Mystic as an adult and on Fourth of July I was craving BBQ! Interestingly enough, Noble smokehouse was close by. It’s a small restaurant sharing a lot with the Mystic, CT Amtrak stop. Car parking is limited but we were able to find a spot quick. The inside of the restaurant is small for a BBQ joint and we were seated in doors until we converted to Togo. Service was to the point. Both the tablet server and to go server were nice. Food: [I got the combination which was $36. You get 2 meats, 2 sides and 2 sauces and jalapeño cheese cornbread] Cons: 1. Now, I’m gonna grab your hand and say this gently ONCE, don’t buy the collard greens. It was like chewing and sucking on a vinegar rag (today). I don’t know if it’s typically like this - hence the (today)- but absolutely turned off from thinking of trying again another day. 2. Mac and cheese was white cheddar and lacked flavor. If the Mac had a touch more salt, pepper and another cheese and creamier. It would’ve been fire. I also don’t mentally like seashell pasta for Mac, but to each their own. 3. The ribs were easy to shred with a fork. It HAD a “bark” that looked good but to my surprise it was bland 😩. 4. The Carolina sauce (honey mustard based?) was very one note. You could only taste the mustard and no honey and of course, vinegar. I wouldn’t recommend as a sauce 5. I did NOT receive my corn bread TT 6. The nacho chips were so basic. Cheese sauce was bland. Chips were unsalted, so that was bland too. It didn’t help but to inform the unknowing reader, we got it plain bc one of our party only eats fish (oh and no seafood here) PROS: 1. The brisket was the best part of the meal. Fat beautifully rendered and best without sauce. Super soft and some piece just broke apart in my mouth without much effort. 2. The ribs were fork tender, so I assume that it would fall off the rib if I picked them up. But— see point 3 in Cons, lol. 3. Staff was nice

Yelp
I don't know why there is great BBQ in Mystic, Connecticut.... but, of course, I pleasantly surprised. I saw all the amazing reviews and was quite skeptical, but needed to give it a try anyway. Wowee was it delicious. We went in as a group of 7 so we were able to try all the meats (brisket, pulled pork, sausages, ribs) and almost all the sides. Food was served very warm. Brisket was jiggly with bark and a lovely fat cap. Ribs also had the nice bar on it and were fairly fall off the bone. Truly a great experience outside of the well-known bbq areas. Tons of sauces to choose from; my favorite was the North Carolina, naturally, because I love the tang, but there i something for everyone (think Memphis, Alabama, Kansas City, etc.). To top it off the Spicy Margarita was large and awesome too. Would definitely come back here in a heart beat.

Yelp
When you think of barbecue, Mystic, CT probably doesn't jump to the front of your mind. Likewise- when you think of Mystic, CT, barbecue certainly doesn't come to mind either. But alas, Noble Smokehouse is changing that for me. Tucked away on the Stonington side of the river, outside of the hustle and bustle, Noble has quickly become my go-to option if I find myself in that neck of the woods. If you know Mystic, you know that it can be a whole ~thing~ to go there for a meal. Noble, however, is in the perfect spot if you don't feel like dealing with the chaos. Do they have a water view? No, but that's not what you're coming here for. Every time I've gone, I've been able to find parking easily, I've never had to wait for a seat, and every meal I've eaten here has knocked my socks off. My fast favorite is the hot pastrami sandwich. Hands down the best pastrami sandwich I've ever had. The pork belly burnt ends are also can't miss. They have a good selection of local beer to go with your meal, and the service is always very friendly and prompt. Rumor has it they are opening a place in downtown New London, which I am very excited for. Until then, I will gladly make the trek to Mystic for a meal here. It's well worth it!

Yelp
Ordered the 2 meat platter that comes with 2 sides and cornbread for $36 and change. 2 sauces of choice included. Quaint little spot nestled in Mystic. Limited parking. The brisket was good and so was the pulled pork. Made to be dipped with the 2 choices of sauce you select as not overly seasoned. The maple bourbon sauce was so good, def pick this one!! The North Carolina sauce wasn't my thing, too tangy and zesty; vinegar-esque. Would come back for the meat selection. Heard ribs are good too. The portion is worth the price. Jalapeño cornbread wasn't my preference, I'm moreso a honey cornbread girl but the flavors were there. Texture was a tad bit gummy for me. Had tidbits of corn and jalapeño. The Mac & cheese needs some help: starchy, not well flavored, thick & clumpy but wasn't the worst. Collard greens could've had more savory flavor to it, was light but could've been cooked down more. Meats and sauce are what would make me come back. Will try the sweet potato and beans next for my sides. Still bang for your buck and worth coming to. Love that it's walk-able being in mystic. Update: the flavors seemed to soak up more as leftovers thru the day and became better.

Yelp
Ate here twice it was super close to the Amtrak station. Portions were huge and everything was tasty - we all shared a bunch of meats (brisket, chicken, ribs) plus a whole array of sides. We even got their delicious nachos to go for the train ride.

Yelp
Don't be fooled by the location (the north which usually has a bad bbq rep), THIS PLACE IS LEGIT! Noble Smokehouse was no frills, just food, and great food at that! I went twice over a week, and had the brisket chili, smoked wings, pulled pork, mac and cheese and collards, along with a local root beer. Everything, including the sauces, were great. The service was great as well. I will definitely come back, and recommend it!

Yelp
4 of us went on a rainy Monday at 1p in November. There was a good number of people in and out during our stay especially given that it was off season! And now I know why: the food is delicious! We made the plans to meet up there based on an article we read about them winning a best BBQ award and clearly they deserve the accolades. I had the small rack of ribs with choice of 2 sauces and 2 sides and Jalapeño corn bread that wasn't spicy but was sooooo good! The ribs were delectable, tastiness heightened with the exquisite sauces (I had the Kansas City and Nashville, but the KC was my fav!). I was reluctant to order the Cole slaw as a side since I rarely like it at most places but theirs was excellent and I'm so glad I got it. I also had a side of Mac'ncheese which I realized early on that I needed to save to take home. The portions were overwhelming! Don got a half a chicken with the same sides and said the smokiness of the chicken was so flavorful! Our friends had the pulled pork sandwich and the pastrami sandwich and they were both very satisfied. Great food with pleasant and helpful service? It's a winner and we'll certainly be back!

Yelp
Awesome reliable spot for some good BBQ. I got the chicken quesadillas, the platter with a choice of 2 meats (brisket, ribs), 2 sides (baked potato, brisket mac n cheese), and 2 sauces (maple, chilli), and the pork belly burnt ends. The chicken quesadillas were great, plethora of chicken and cheese, topped with chopped green onion. The taste leans into its American pallet (think burgers, fourth of July realness, less Mexican) and manages to do it well without tasting lazy. I'd recommend this if you're not necessarily looking for authenticity, but more for a good, flavorful and hearty lunch. The pork belly burnt ends were quite disappointing. While I realize the name had "burnt ends", I didn't realize they would cook it to the point where the meat had an essentially rubbery texture, yet somehow gaining hardness in some areas where it attacks your gums. The flavor was the saving grace, very savory, and some leftover fat on the meat counteracts the dryness of the overall dish. If you're into the texture, I recommend pairing it with the chili sauce they offer on their menu, but note that the sauce is quite spicy. The platter was the main event of the whole thing. The brisket was nice and tender, yet not soggy. The sauce on top was classic BBQ, but will pair well with other sauces if need-be. The ribs were delicious, falling off the bone delicately, followed by a deep, rich flavor that only comes with a minimum length of time in cooking. The brisket mac and cheese was not heavy, but skims mildly on the cheese, relying more on the brisket for taste. Service was very polite, and the food arrived within 25 minutes, with absolutely no rush to order. The place had a very by-the-beach vibes in decoration, complimented with large, surrounding windows, with quiet old country music in the background.

Yelp
Prepare for a food coma. But seriously though, this is some legit barbecue in the middle of the northeast and it makes my southern-born husband smile. It's a small joint right next to the Amtrak station, which would be easy to overlook if it wasn't for so many cars consistently parked there in hopes of finding a seat. The staff in there are constantly hustling to make sure the food is delivered as quickly as possible so that you can commence your delicious march into a food coma.

Yelp
Ribs are dry. Server never asked us how was the food but asked every other table. I let her know at the end. She said she will let the kitchen know but nothing was done. Would not be coming back.
google avatar

Rozina V.

Yelp
Had been craving BBQ and this place hit the spot. Very friendly server and food was amazing. They have a really good variety of sauces to choose from. There's a small outdoor seating area that is dog friendly.
google avatar

Lori D.

Yelp
I had visited Gillette Castle and was looking for dinner on my way home. This was tucked off the road and away from the busy Mystic scene. Grabbed a seat outside and enjoyed this delicious BBQ. Food was amazing.
google avatar

Lisbeth H.

Yelp
Service was ok/good. You seat yourself then get service. We thought that it was fairly Priced. The ribs were tender and as was the brisket. I loved the options in sauces offered(Alabama white). My main complaint would be the food was not as hot as I would've liked. It was just warm, almost room Temp my guess is it's not made fresh maybe set buffet style and the servers just scoop and send out? Has potential just need to do better with temps!
google avatar

Jaye G.

Yelp
Great bbq the way it should be done. All the bbq sauces are delicious. Parking is easy and the restaurant is simple but very clean.
google avatar

Jeffrey G.

Yelp
Very pleasant surprise. Good Bbq in Connecticut. I had the chopped brisket sandwich. Skipped the cheese to allow the meat to come through. A good mix of pretty lean chop with just enough fat to carry flavor. The mac and cheese was smooth and cheesy. They have pork belly burn ends....now do they ever serve beef brisket burnt ends, or does the pitmaster keep them for himself?
google avatar

Garrett S.

Yelp
By far the best BBQ in the area Josh absolutely kills it on the smokers brisket and ribs are to die for

Laura C.

Yelp
This review will make it obvious that I am not a barbecue lover, so take that into consideration when you assign value to my opinion. We walked in shortly after it opened and the floor was sopping wet; they had just washed it. A large utility blower was on, trying to dry the floor. The table wobbled. There were at least a dozen flies flying around. The fan above had evident black dust and grime on it. The paint was peeling and so were the stickers of animal parts that they had on the wall. They were out of pastrami which is what I was planning to order. I ordered a brisket melt. There weren't any French fries on the menu, but there was an option of a house salad. I asked if they could sub a Cesar salad; Ok with an up charge. I was told that Cesar salads were huge, so they can't do that. I got the Mac and cheese. The sandwich had big cubes of fatty brisket on it with some cheddar cheese and cooked onion. The bread and cheese were good and they were the only part of the sandwich I ate. The macaroni and cheese tasted like a low budget Stouffers. The cheese sauce was granular and lacked salt or flavor. My date had the brisket chili and cornbread. And enjoyed them. The cornbread had green chilies and corn kernels in it. It was delicious. The woman's bathroom was out of order, and the men's bathroom was filthy and had a broken toilet seat. When we got our bill, they charged us for a $30 tshirt we didn't order. I left there full on carbs, with a doggy bag of brisket pieces for our pup at home, and lingering disappointment.

Yelp
Professionals at the art of BBQ with a hardworking professional wait staff. A regular stop.

Yelp
Taking this drive out to CT was worth it as we happened to stumble upon Noble Smokehouse. The place has parking which is always a plus after a long drive and is in the beautiful town of Mystic. It was not far from the cider mill we went to and had so many options. For the amount of money you pay for the food the portions are large! Which is always a plus! The spot is small but was busy and the server/hostess was quite a delight and supper attentive. We truly enjoyed every bite of our food. The sweet potato , brisket Mac and Cheese and sandwiches plus meats were delicious and I honestly cannot stop thinking about them! The downside was that there was flies in the establishment due to an open window / door but that's no one fault so we opted to eat outside despite the chilly weather. Other than that we had a great time!
google avatar

Daniel S.

Yelp
Visited Mystic with my wife, and stopped by here for lunch. It was a beautiful day, so the windows were open making for a nice open air environment. Just a little frustrating dealing with so many flies going for the delicious food. All of the food was fantastic, and would definitely recommend their pulled pork! Our server was also very kind, and attentive.
google avatar

Hannah K.

Yelp
After a wonderful day in Mystic, we stopped at Nobles Smokehouse for dinner. My husband and I split the Smokehouse Combination, with double mac & cheese for our side. Of course, we had to try every bbq sauce they offered. I can confidently say that you'll find a sauce (or 6) that you like! Connecticut might be known for seafood, but everything as this smokehouse was great! It's a cozy restaurant with great service. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Tommy L.

Yelp
Came here last night for dinner and very good. Ribs were fall off the bone, brisket was moist and tender. Mac and cheese was very good considering the past few bbq places I've been to was just meh. Everything seen in the picture tasted as good as it looks. Definitely will be coming back here
google avatar

Alyssa S.

Yelp
Staff was very knowledgeable regarding gluten allergy and have a menu that shows what has gluten in it. The BBQ itself was delicious! Place was small with outdoor seating but we got there early enough so it wasnt an issue. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
We weren't sure where we were going to stop for lunch when visiting Mystic, but the smells emanating from Noble Smokehouse called us in! I had the pulled pork quesadilla, which came with sour cream on the side. It was stuffed with meat, cheese, caramelized onions, and scallions. Very good! Only problem: traveling with nowhere to keep the leftovers.
google avatar

Larry S.

Yelp
I was told this was a must stop for barbecue lovers. Unfortunately, it didn't away. I ordered the brisket platter with mac and cheese on the side. I found the brisket to be stringy, overly fatty, and a bit tough, as if it wasn't smoked long enough. Nowhere near as good as other bbq places I've visited like Wire Mill in Ridgefield, CT. The mac and cheese was piping hot and delicious. But the meat just didn't do it for me.
google avatar

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Server was pleasant and friendly. I ordered the pulled pork platter with coleslaw (very good) and sweet potato (came with special butter which was good). Only negative was my meat wasn't warmed to temp so I had to ask for them to re-heat it. Memphis & Kansas bbq sauces were delicious. Cornbread was also cold & I thought they should've warmed it as well. My husband & son ordered the collards which while tasty needed to be cooked longer & the seasoning adjusted as it was unbalanced to us. Guess that is subjective. All in all it was decent.

Yelp
Opened in spring of 2021. This small but nice New England BBQ restaurant seems to have some great potential. Started with the Pork Belly burnt ends. This is definitely one of my favorites to find on a menu. They came out in a small serving fry box. Garnished with scallions. Their crispy top was a great touch though, my portion was well coated in bbq sauce. The mild acidity with the sauce helped with the fattiness. Just wished that the held off on the sauce just a little. The fat was well cooked and did break apart nicely upon crewing on them. For entree went with the 2 meat smokehouse combination. For the meats: brisket and Texas pulled pork. For the sides: southern slaw and collard greens and also their jalapeño cornbread. I picked their Kansas and South Carolina bbq sauces. For the brisket; this was brought out in the same small fry box as the pork belly burnt ends. Served with a small splash of bbq sauce on top. From what I can see, the use a foil is used to help with getting the meat to the desired consistency. I wish there was a more pronounced smoke ring present in the portion that I received. Bark was intact just wasn't as seasoned as I wish it could've been. They are definitely working in the right direction with their recipe. The mouth feel was nice and I was pleasantly satisfied with how the moist the meat was. Texas pulled pork; smoke ring was definitely more present in this meat than the brisket. With a great mouth feel and seasoning more inline with a SPG (salt, pepper and garlic) style found in Texas BBQ. Pulled pork was served as well with a small amount of sauce as well. This was nice to be able to mix in with the meat. Collard greens; this had to be the highlight of the tray for me. Great acidity and seasoning to offset the fattiness of the meat. Southern Slaw; this was slightly disappointing. I tasted it and it seemed to be almost like it was just a normal recipe found everywhere. This is usually a good addition I like to always have with my BBQ. As it works as a palate cleanser and a great way to reset before your next bite. Jalapeño cornbread; was moist and had whole corn kernels adding a nice texture and sweetness. Jalapeño wasn't over powering. This was a great ending to this meal Overall, I would say from the service to the presentation, to the meal this was what you would say was a standard New England BBQ. Serve was attentive to the table and knew about the menu. Though, presentation and seasoning was lacking in my opinion. Noble Smokehouse, is a good place to check out to try out your bbq palate. With the way they are going the future seems bright for them.

Yelp
Our food was decent but service was poor. Our waitress seemed in a hurry and she did not come back once to check on us other than to give us our bill. As for the food, the ribs were tender but the mac and cheese needed some salt or added seasoning. Prices were reasonable.
google avatar

Robert T.

Yelp
The place is small. But the food is HUGE!! Have eaten there three times now. Every meal was excellent. The staff very friendly.
google avatar

Amya C.

Yelp
Me and my husband came here a few months ago and it was good. I'd give a 5 star rating but the lady who sat us down and brought our food was not very warm. She had on a hat and some shades.
google avatar

Lauren W.

Yelp
Everything was delicious and reminiscent of everything I love about bbq! Ribs were falling off the bone but dense. Loved the cornbread! Try the Alabama sauce!
google avatar

Jamie M.

Yelp
I live in Groton that is the center of absolutely no where. So finding a BBQ spot in mystic I was extra side eye skeptical. Arriving it's a small little building at the hidden back road of mystic. We ordered and the menu alone makes your mouth water. I got a yummy margarita and the 2 meat combo with beans and Mac for my sides. The brisket melted as I tried to pick it up with my fork. No sauce needed make sure you enjoy the brisket as is! The ribs were so delicious with the dry rub I got on top. I was in a food coma for the rest of the day! The jalapeño corn bread WHO KNEW this was a thing and now that I know I never want to unknow it! Eat here please! Everyone needs to find this hidden bbq gem
google avatar

DodiB B.

Yelp
Got off the train in Mystic not knowing what was going to have for dinner. Noble is located next to the station! Beautiful interior and friendly staff . Ordered the Kansas City wings with Alabama sauce, small Mac & Cheese & collard greens to go. Got to my destination and unpacked my dinner. Everything was cooked to perfection!! The greens were well seasoned and the Mac&Cheese was ohhhhsoooo creamy & delicious. This is a "must hit" spot when in or near Mystic - worth the trip.
google avatar

Steph A.

Yelp
Noble smokehouse has shockingly good bbq. Located in downtown mystic, it's easy to find and well worth the trip. Whenever I am judging a bbq restaurant I use their brisket as the determining factor for if I like it or not. Their brisket is juicy, succulent and flavorful. Other standout items include their Mac and cheese (which has brisket in it) and their cowboy beans. Everything I've tried from there is so solid and leaves me wanting more. Clearly this is a spot run by people who truly love bbq and all that it entails. Don't sleep on this space, it's really that good.

Dusty S.

Yelp
Service was good and the food was great. I had barbecue smoked ribs and chicken. Sides were potato salad and coleslaw

Miguel D.

Yelp
The authenticity of the BBQ intensifies the fact that this is the BEST BBQ in southern CT!!!!!!
google avatar

Rachel O.

Yelp
Heading into the thick of downtown Mystic is not really our style, but we were motivated to try this (relatively) new BBQ joint. Plus, their location is enough off the beaten path that we didn't struggle to find parking. We sat outside on their cute little patio. It was a bit noisy because of the music & the kitchen ventilation system, but it was still nice to soak up the sun. I think our server's name was Mary (that's what was listed on the receipt @ the end) & she was excellent. When I asked about gluten-free items, she disappeared for a moment & came back out with a different menu. Everything underlined on this menu DOES contain gluten & I was pleasantly surprised to see that so much of Noble's food is safe for me to eat. Mary also had great recommendations. We ordered the pork belly burnt ends appetizer to start & it absolutely knocked our socks off. Some of the best $18 we've ever spent. We split a combination platter & went with slow smoked brisket & baby back ribs. For sides, we chose collard greens, cowboy beans, & coleslaw. Mary brought a side of jalapeño cheddar cornbread for my partner. The ribs were my favorite. The meat just slid off the bone. The coleslaw didn't wow us, but everything else was really great. We couldn't finish everything, so we took quite a bit home with us. I really appreciated how the containers for all of our sides just needed a lid to be taken to go. Solid 5/5 stars! Thank you Mary & thank you Noble Smokehouse.

Yelp
This is one of the best Smokehouses I have ever had. The Chili is hands down the best I've ever had in my life (sorry mom). I'm counting the days until I can figure out a way to get back to this amazing food.
google avatar

Christopher D.

Yelp
Great brisket, pulled pork and jalapeño cornbread. Love all of the sauce options too.
google avatar

S P.

Yelp
We were just driving by and they had us with the delicious smoke smell! We could not resist. The pulled pork was the best I've ever had! The brisket was equally delicious. I had a jalapeño Margarita which was perfect! This was our favorite meal of our whole , 3 day, vacation. Very casual. Try it!
google avatar

Yelp
Hands down the best barbecue sandwich I have ever had in my whole life, the pork blt was life changing and I felt euphoric after I consumed it. I don't think I will ever forget how delicious this meal was, from the iced tea to the perfectly cooked mac and cheese to the tantalizing sauces to the freshness of the veggies. If I ever return to Mystic, this is the first place I'll ever go to. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys good quality and portions for a good price.

Yelp
I'm driving to New England, my buddy loves to go to the same Connecticut Que spot. I said can we try something new on this trip? My nav is set to Noble Smokehouse in Mystic CT. Walking into Noble Smokehouse, its a BBQ'y type restaurant. Nothing fancy, just a few tables and BBQ pictures adorn the walls. It puts me in the mood for smoked meats. And thats what Noble Smokehouse does very well. There are great standard BBQ choices like BBQ Pulled Pork, Brisket and Ribs. I didn't want to get too full with a platter so I ordered a Pulled Pork sandwich with the choice of one side. My side choice is slaw to go with my sammy. What I didn't see were different BBQ sauces on the table. I was given a side of vinegar type sauce that came with my sandwich. When I built the sandwich topped with cole slaw, man oh man was it BBQ time. The pulled pork was moist and had a nice flavor. The bun that was served wasn't baked on premise but sourced locally. Forget fast food, you need to try Noble Smokehouse where the BBQ is made low and slow. Great job, I was very impressed with pulled pork sandwich.

Yelp
Delicious food and dessert. Friendly staff and quick service. Highly recommend! A must if in the area.

Dylan T.

Yelp
Great food! If I was going to change anything, the chop salad would be chopped for us- that's a gripe I have at any restaurant but here a salad in a paper carton the diner is left to figure out how to make that work. That aside all of the food is really good and well worth a trip

Yelp
I ordered the bbq chicken sandwich and it was just okay. Average, and not too expensive. Got it with mac and cheese which was below average, it had a watery cheese sauce that you could taste the graininess in. I think that happens when you mess up the roux of the cheese sauce. It was a white mac and cheese, almost like a milky cream sauce instead of cheese. It did not have a rich southern flavor at all, one that I was hoping to find at a BBQ restaurant. Fast service. Small restaurant, not many tables, nothing special inside. No frills kind of place.

Yelp
Service was great, enjoy the dining area as well, it is smaller but well done. The food arrived quickly. Burnt ends were fantastic as was the brisket. The corn chowder exceeded expectations. The ribs however left a bit to be desired, however, the meal in and of itself was delicious and reasonably priced. Would recommend.

Yelp
I don't know who they paid off to get voted the best barbecue in Connecticut, but it was mediocre at best. Don't get your hopes up.

Yelp
Picked up some food from here to go while on a whisky getaway with my family in Mystic. The brisket is delicious I just wish it was sliced a bit thinner but it was cooked properly and tasty. My husband had the pulled pork quesadilla which he really enjoyed as well. Can't forget the sides! we got a large side of the brisket Mac and cheese which was also tasty. Got a sweet potato for our little one which was tasty as well. The woman who I placed my order with was so friendly and helpful when I was trying to choose which bbq sauce I wanted to go with my meal. I would definitely come back here again next time I'm in the area!

Yelp
Food is decent ambiance is small and clean service was very good. For me it's just mid level bbq nothing too special. Most things come already sauced/seasoned and then they offer more sauce on the side. I had the bbq sundae which was a novelty and very filling I had a few meals of the one serving. Is it like insane the best bbq ever?.... No but is it decent .... Yes and you won't regret giving it a try
