"After Nobletree Coffee closed in East Village at the end of May, an East Village resident responded to the note from the cafe with a sassy message asking the cafe owners not to blame the neighborhood for low foot traffic." - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya

"Nobletree Coffee closed back at the end of May less than six months in the neighborhood. A notice posted outside of the building stated that the location shuttered “because of the slow foot traffic at the location.” A printed sign has been attached under the notice reading: “Please don’t blame the neighborhood for slow foot traffic. Maybe it was your mediocre coffee and bad service? Sincerely, East Village Residents.”" - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya

Cool spot to hang out for a coffee, especially in the warmer months when the windows open. the coffee is alright, no complaints.

I’ve been in only twice, but employees are kind and atmosphere is chill. Loyalty card. Vegans, they have non-dairy milk (exorbitant charge of 75¢ extra though) and muffins! Which is exciting. I really liked their latte; it was rich while being smooth enough that I didn’t need any sugar in it, and I aaaaalways put a little bit of SOMETHING. Will be returning!

Amazing spot especially in the mornings the sunlight hits that corner location perfectly. Apparently, the entire space is supposed to feel like the head of a ship, with large glass windows, warm undertones that provide a magestic nautical vibe. Friendly staff, coffee roasts are sourced mainly from Brazil (recommend the Drom Cuvee)which give a strong, rich and nutty flavor but some blends have Ethiopian and Columbia Mixtures like the Abertura and give a spike of tang that you don’t normally find in most coffee.

*Nobletree St Mark's PL. Closed* I've had Nobletree coffee at their Westfield/ WTC location.Good, fresh roasted flavor ..but this is only about the St Mark's Place location Which closed, hardly notice to staff , several weeks ago. Jinxed? The ship was small and ugly on the outside. Leftover storefront from prior shop there. Inside looked comfort-less. A few stools. So many other great (very casual/modern no attitude) East Village coffee choices, locals avoided this. Beware web listings that are out of date. But a few minutes walk in the area should present you with a good choice irvtwi, at least.
