"Nara and Hokkaido are co-stars in this drama of gastronomy. Hokkaido ingredients are used because a French restaurant in Sapporo serves as producer. Through this interplay of two backgrounds, the charms of Japan's natural bounty come to the fore. Ingredients from Nara take the stage in plates garnished with vegetables and cuisine of amago trout. Seafood and potatoes arrive from the north. As the play unfolds, the diner’s knowledge of food producers and producing regions deepens." - Michelin Inspector

Exceptional hotel!! The room is great, the restaurant is better, the wine list is top notch and the service is truly world class! Feels more like a private home than a hotel. So many pleasant surprises from the bar to the music salon - which is a must visit. But in the end, the staff is the true star! Next time I think I should only stay here and commute to Kyoto and Osaka

Wonderful, friendly and incredibly obliging staff, large, beautiful rooms, breakfast that was like a royal banquet! And the most incredible location right on Nara Park. We had a wonderful stay in the luxurious, friendly, beautiful hotel

This is a super fancy hotel and we were treated like royalty as soon as we arrived. |Kohan Fukumoto was incredibly helpful with all kinds of invaluable advice and suggestions for eating and visits prior to our arrival. All of the staff were meticulously helpful and professional. They gave us vegetarian breakfasts, both western and Japanese, which were lovely. The location is excellent, on the edge of the deer park near to everything you'd want to see in Nara but also convenient to get to the stations. It is however eye-wateringly expensive, which attracts a certain kind of customer - not our favourite - and we found the beds a bit hard.

We stayed here for three days over Easter 2024. As you would expect from a Relais & Chateaux hotel, it isn’t cheap but everything was outstanding. The staff did all they possibly could to welcome and attend to us; the hotel itself is beautifully decorated in a minimalist style and located close to (and with a view of) one of Nara’s main Buddhist temples; and the food (both breakfast and dinner) was an exquisite Franco-Japanese combination. I can’t recommend Noborioji Hotel in Nara enough.

we (2) travelled 3 weeks in Japan and stayed two nights in March 2024 in Nara. There is no such hotel like Noborioji, absolutely top, friendly, first class dinner - It belongs for us to the small top- 5 star hotels I only can recommend.

A really wonderful hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. They showed us all the amenities and gave us comfy footware. The room was insanely big. The bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub with a tablet. The dinner was good and plentiful - we got the Christmas dinner which was a treat. The dinner had live piano music and the pianist would come to your table to welcome you and ask you if you have any requests. The breakfast was really good as well. You could choose traditional Japanese or Western style. They gave you deer treats at the front desk. It was a wonderful experience

Huge room and a huge King size bed with big clear glasses overlooking the park where we could see deers eating grass. Hospitality was great. We had dinner and breakfast which was modified to our needs and wishes - vegetarian. Explanation of all amenities was done with welcome drink. Staff came to Kintetsu Nara station to welcome us to their hotel. Indian flag was specially hosted as we were the guests. Beds were very comfortable. Staying in this hotel was overwhelming experience and I would love to stay here again.

A trio of us stayed here during our short visit to Nara. The service is A+++ in that it is incredibly attentive, service oriented and friendly. The location is very close to getting to the park and a tad bit longer to the train (all walkable). We had dinner at their formal French restaurant and really enjoyed our meal - it was delicious and they were gracious enough to cater to my dietary restrictions. I would recommend staying here and dining here as well!

Yelp
This hotel was firstly the member ship only hotel. In these days they started to accept the non-membership guest. The location is good, 5 minutes on foot from the Kintesu Nara station.Despite being in front of the station, the surrounding area is quiet and has a good atmosphere. This hotel has only 14 rooms and 3 floors. The room has so-so width. Interior was sick. All the food and beverages in the room was inclusive to the room charge. Stuff's service was excellent.I appreciated that they were well trained and polite and gentle to all the guests. They call them as an Auberge. Their restaurant was very good and deserved to be called Auberge. One point was the problem. Their requested room charge was equal to the Famous Tawaraya ryokan in Kyoto. I think it's better to move to Kyoto(only 30 minutes to Kyoto from Nara on the Kintesu express) and stay Tawaya ryokan despite to stay this hotel.
