"Nicknamed the Queen of Ria Formosa, chef Noélia, whose restaurant bears her name, is a well-known celebrity across Portugal. This passionate, self-taught cook is always seeking to create new recipes and experiment with new combinations. Her recipes are based around locally caught fish and seafood that feature on a fixed menu, although there are always a variety of choices that focus on the day’s freshest ingredients. We recommended booking ahead as it is always full." - Michelin Inspector

The best shrimp tempura of my life and believe me, I’ve had plenty ;) amazingly delicious clams and the tuna tartar was beautiful and so wonderful. Kind service, no rush, and nice wine too. I can’t wait to go back, so GOOD!!!!

The food is definitely amazing but I’ve seen perhaps the worst customer service in the area: unpleasant, slow, and no apologies. A fatal flaw for such a good kitchen.

Absolutely brilliant! As always. One of the best spots in the Algarve. Its not easily done, where you get authentic Portuguese food with a good setting and great service. And just to top it off, its not expensive. This is my concept of a great restaurant and what most should strive to reach!

Great food, but outside space was not well lit and just looked like a normal cafe. The waiters basically ignored us for the first half an hour, and were not particularly pleasant for the rest of the evening. But the good was excellent and the chef was super nice, came to our table twice to say hi and chat briefly.

We had a lovely meal at Noelia. Three courses each with wine and port to finish. Marinated scallops were packed full of flavour (starter) and the fried prawns (starter) were juicy and plump. I went for the squid main, which was cooked to perfection. The whole sea bass was also very well cooked. Both served with sweet potatoes. Dessert was lovely. The salted caramel mouse and orange polenta cake were delicious. The wine list was extensive with something for all palates. We went for the house green wine, which was light and crisp. Good value for money given the quality of the food and wine. We booked on the day with no problems.

This is one of the best restaurants in Portugal, the quality of the food, especially fish and seafood and the creativity of the dishes is just outstanding. The cuttlefish black rice with truffled ham and the seabass with mango gaspacho were some of the best creations I have ever tried. However, booking a table is a nightmare (they don't pick up the phone), and service can be very poor and arrogant (our waiter was tragic). But overall still definitely worth a visit to a legendary restaurant.

By far the best Portuguese traditional food! Everything we ate from the fish soup to lemon rice was incredible! Can’t wait to visit Algarve again in order to eat here!

Amazing, just, amazing. 2 meals in the few days over in east Algarve, had to go back! When it comes to food from the sea, doesn't get any better than this. Rice with fish and clams, just wow! All starters, mains and desserts, we tried 4 of each, all amazingly fresh, tasty and so simple, could be pretentious, but chooses not too. Cost very reasonable. Straight to the top of the list in Portugal, thank you!
