Despite appearances being an almost convenience store/takeout setup, this place is better quality/value than most of the sushi places in the surrounding area. The main reason being the rice quality is notably better than average for US sushi spots, while the fish quality is great (as is typical for PNW sushi).
Having ordered from the buffet style bar, everything was somewhat rice heavy which is unsurprising considering you pay by weight, but also fine by me given the rice quality being as good as it is. If I had to ding something, it would be that all the pieces were pretty poorly constructed, all being a step away from totally falling apart. Also the buffet style bar was very lacking in options that weren't using spicy sauces.
Will definitely be back here in the future. It's not the best sushi in the city by any means, and but on an immediately local level I'd pick here as a casual lunch spot every time.
