Noir - Review - Ile-Saint-Louis - Paris - The Infatuation

"Search for Noir on the map, and you’re bound to be conveniently close to one. There are 15 locations of this beloved coffee shop, which is great if you need a pick-me-up after hours of traversing the city. The original outpost is on Île Saint-Louis, the little island that separates the left and right banks, but be prepared to wait since there’s typically just one barista working. We prefer the one in the 9th, which has two levels and a stunning spiral staircase that our crystal ball tells us will become fodder for your social feed." - Tanisha Townsend

Always a pleasure to pass by this coffee shop. It is my go-to. The coffee is very tasty as well as the cakes. The barista, Louis, is very kind, knowledgeable and smiley. The space is cosy, tastefully decorated, it is perfect spot to sit down for a pause while you’re shopping in the Marais. I also like to come work on my laptop. When it’s sunny, you can enjoy your coffee outside, there are some benches. Really recommend!

A lovely place to sit. The coffee had a distinctive taste which is hard to describe. I liked it though it had a bit of a grassy flavour. The staff are friendly if a bit shy. A good place to start your day. Fairly quiet and music to fit a morning mood.

The café offers a decent spot for a quick break in Paris, but it doesn’t quite live up to the hype. The ambience is stylish and cozy, and the service is friendly and attentive. However, the food and drinks are pretty average; nothing really stood out in terms of flavor or presentation. It’s not a bad choice if you're nearby, but not something I'd go out of my way for.

Actually my favorite NOIR coffee shop in Paris ! Cosy vibe and delicious coffee. Also best service by the baristas Louis & Gyol always serving with a kind smile and good advice ! and really nice music played, which is a true plus in this kind of place ! Took the charcoal and you can make it Dirty with a shot of coffee ☕️ soooo good !!

i’m abit late on writing this review but i visited with my boyfriend in july. joan served us coffee that was beautiful, i complimented his latte art and showed him my own latte art i do in my cafe in england. i was taking lovely pictures in the cafe as its very clean and presentable. then joan kindly offered me an opportunity to make my own coffee and show off my latte art. of course, i took up the offer. this kindness was so so healing and so amazing. i wish he could understand how happy this made us both, this was a highlight of our day and honestly i wish for him to know. me and my boyfriend used to speak about this day constantly as it was a beautiful memory. this cafe is to be visited and the staff are incredibly friendly. it’s small things like this which make one’s day. joan if you see this, i would love to send you the video of me making the coffee!

A minimal gem in the heart of Paris. NOIR serves smooth coffee in a raw-textured space with earthy tones and great lighting. Friendly staff, peaceful vibe, and solid espresso. Perfect for a quick break or a slow sip with your notebook open.

Nice ambience with friendly service & location. The coffee is a bit acidic/sour based on my preference but overall, nice place!

I’m completely fine to spend 4.1 euro for a cup of espresso, but this one is definitely not deserved for its price. The quality is even under average. And the staff is not that experienced.
