"There are several ways to experience this ambitious, two-story restaurant. The ground floor is a chic lounge where bartenders shake and stir potent, boozy drinks. Up the winding staircase, find an open kitchen committed to crafting a serious tasting menu focused on seafood. To be clear, this is a team that likes to take risks and keep diners on their toes. Familiar ingredients like Oaxacan cheese, chintextle, starfruit, and hoja santa are deployed in imaginative, daring ways. Recent highlights include wild-caught tuna tataki rolled in vegetable ash as well as a refreshingly homey buffalo taco brushed in a rich demi-glace. Gracious, personable servers round out this satisfying, thoughtful experience in the heart of Oaxaca." - Michelin Inspector

We visited Nois to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we had a phenomenal experience. We splurged on the 9 course tasting menu, paired with an excellent bottle of wine and an experiencia martini for each of us. Each course was incredible, we would be hard pressed to pick a favourite. Our servers were incredible, they went through each dish in detail, allowing us to become fully immersed in the experience. The winter tasting menu was a truly special experience, we are so happy we decided to go for the full nine courses to celebrate.

NOIS is not just a restaurant; it’s a sensory journey that takes you from death into the afterlife, guided by the deep and mystical flavors of Oaxaca. Every dish is carefully crafted to tell a story — a culinary narrative that honors the region’s tradition, soul, and creativity. Our server, Máx, made the night truly special. Her warmth, knowledge, and passion transformed an exceptional dinner into an unforgettable experience. She made us feel part of the magic behind each creation. The attention to detail, impeccable presentation, and emotional connection of the menu are worthy of a Michelin star. Without a doubt, NOIS deserves a Michelin star for its innovation, elegance, and absolute respect for Oaxacan flavors. A must-visit gem for anyone seeking more than a meal — a spiritual and artistic experience that only Oaxaca can offer.

My final meal in Oaxaca ended up being one of the best ones, and the full tasting menu stood out from the rest of the fine dining places I visited in the city. The service was warm and attentive from the start, and the storytelling behind each dish was the best I’ve ever experienced. Every course felt thoughtful and personal, the yellowtail and beef dishes especially blew me away. A perfect way to end my culinary journey in Oaxaca.

Going on three years traveling throughout beautiful welcoming México, Oaxaca de Juárez is one of our favorite cities. Sights. Sounds. Smells. It’s all here. We chose Nois as one of our three celebration dinners for our anniversary. It did not disappoint. Although of appetites could have been bigger (issues for me with change of altitude from sea level 😳) we sampled some of the most beautiful food. The presentation is so exquisite it’s a shame to dig into it. Our service was kind, informative, patient- basically fabulous. We highly recommend this Oaxacan food experience. Obviously not the only ones, it’s a Michelin Star restaurant!

We dined as a group of four and tried the six-course tasting menu, but unfortunately Nois didn’t live up to the hype. At $2500 MX pp, Service was inconsistent, with multiple allergy mix-ups despite repeated confirmations. The pacing dragged, and paper napkins that disintegrated felt out of place in a fine dining setting. While the plating was lovely and the yellowtail standout, most dishes lacked the depth and excitement we expected from the reviews. Perhaps it was an off night, but overall, I wouldn’t recommend Nois and feel the Michelin guide should reconsider its inclusion until consistency improves.

We decided to come here based on a solid recommendation from a friend who visited a few months ago. My partner and I came in on a Thursday evening with a same-day reservation, and they easily accommodated a vegetarian-friendly tasting menu. They only offer tasting menus here, either six or nine courses (we chose 9 courses for $3k pesos) The service was great and the presentation of each dish was lovely and inventive. They highlighted local Oaxaca ingredients in every single dish. The place wasn’t busy on a Thursday evening in November, but I’m sure it will be packed soon! How lucky am I to be able to say this tasting menu impressed me much more than one we did in CDMX earlier this month, which was twice the price.

This restaurant is located in a brutalist interior which is interesting. Unfortunately disturbed by too much clutter and unnecessary things laying around. Especially arriving at the place and being greeted by dirty dishes on a tray, deep freezer and microwave. However the food is spectacular and you should definitely eat here. We loved it and can highly recommended it. A beautiful mix of flavours of local ingredients but still not over flavoured. Perfect fish, meat and other seafood. We choose the 6 course tasting menu. Unfortunately only one wine was available. A red. In a restaurant of this category (pricing) a brighter choice would be expected. Unfortunately the outfit of the service staff was not at the level of sophistication of food and prices. Why does the kitchen team have beautiful uniforms and the service not? Little things which could be fixed easily will make this place to a perfect spot. We will definitely be back.

Experienced the new winter tasting menu and it was warm and comforting as they described it. I did the 6 plate tasting menu and it was the perfect amount of food.
