"This polished eatery brings island cuisine into the CBD, a higher-end (and pricier) experience than the usual mom-and-pop spot. But worth noting, NOLA Caye delivers a date night vibe, along with generous portions and potent tropical cocktails. The flavorful jerk sea bass, shrimp and jalapeño cheddar grits, and crab and conch fritters are all stellar. Popular for brunch." - Beth D'Addono

Wow! NOLA Caye has the best fried chicken and waffles I've had, bar none, across all of my travels thus far. Served with genuine maple syrup, garlic butter, crispy house made tenders, the waffles I could binge on their own. The bacon that was served on the side was phenomenal. The service was top tier as well, and our drinks were wonderful. This will be our cult favorite for breakfast in New Orleans from here on. Thank you for starting our day off right NOLA Caye.

Tried this Caribbean restaurant for lunch. The oxtail, mango wings, and house Caribbean salad that we got were good. The service was also good and the server made recommendations that were helpful for us. I also tried the spicy hibiscus margarita with an ice ball infused with 3 types of peppers that made the more drink spicy as it melted. I didn’t get them but bottomless mimosas for brunch/lunch seemed to be popular 😄

Wow this place is amazing. I came during happy hour and I was able to enjoy absolutely delectable chicken wings for only 5 dollars. The three wing plate came dressed with a sweet chili sauce that was perfectly sticky and had just the right amount of spice to keep me coming back. After my wings I dined on curried shrimp and yellow rice. The curry sauce was so delicious that the shrimp was an afterthought. The shrimp did complete the dish bringing the fullness that separates a soup from a true entree. The service here was excellent with my waiter bringing a hot wet towelette for me to wipe off the sticky wing sauce. I even received a free piece of banana cream pie. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I came here to celebrate my birthday with 3 of my friends for dinner and was absolutely disgusted by the service I received. We placed our drink orders shortly after being seated. I ordered a ginger ale, everyone at the table received their drink except me so I ask the server about it. He informed me that he put it in and it would be out shortly. I had to remind him 3 times about my ginger ale, which is completely unacceptable. Not only did we have to continually flag him down for basic service ( i.e. refills, more chips), he also would make microaggressive comments through out the night that made everyone feel uncomfortable. To make matters even worse once we finished our food he kept suggesting that I get a bread pudding for my birthday. I expressed that my wasn’t feeling well so I was didn’t want it he continued to push so I was like okay under the impression it would be complimentary. Nope, he charged me for it even though I didn’t want it in the first place and knew I would not finish it. We ask for the bill to be separated not once but 3 times, after the third time we had to ask for a manager. I eat out a lot and the main reason I go is to receive good service. To be waited on and eat delicious food. I was so disappointed and repulsed by the service we received. Although the food was delicious I am hesitant to come back here because of my experience.

Google
GREAT FOOD! I had the shrimp and grits and the crab Fritters, I can't explain how amazing it was to bite into every piece. Our server was great, being that it was his first week. If you're in New Orleans, definitely visit!

Google
Very attentive service! We enjoyed our meal tonight at Caye. We shared an order of wings that had the tastiest pineapple marinade and the tuna tartare that was served with crispy wontons which was also on point! We both had 2 tacos which were good but coming from Los Angeles we are a little particular about our tacos. Amazing cocktail!! We were happy with the global experience and would recommend checking it out.

Google
I rarely give restaurants (5) stars, but I could not NOT give this place any less than (5) stars! Beautiful and clean restaurant, delicious food, and great service! We went during happy hour from 3-6 pm. I ordered a cocktail (Pain Killer) for $6.00. It was pretty and delicious! The french fries, wings, black beans, grits, and tacos are all delicious! I especially enjoyed my oyster taco. They were fried perfectly. The food here is SUPER flavorful! Whoever is in that kitchen knows what they are doing. I was really impressed!

Loved this place!! Stopped by on my trip to Nola. Made reservations for 830pm, and although we had to wait a little over 10mins for our table, Westin, the manager was more than apologetic and even made us some cocktails on the house for the wait. Weston even busted and cleaned the table for us. It's not often you see a manager do this. Liam was our server, and his customer service skills were on point. He offered suggestions and knew the menu well. The crab and conch fritters w/garlic-lime mayo were really good. The tacos were awesome. My favorite was the carribean pork w/pineapple. The jerk fish and ginger salmon were both perfectly cooked. Nice sear on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside, but the braised oxtails were hands down the best dish of the night. These braised oxtails over jalapeño Cheddar grits is a MUST TRY. The oxtails were so full of flavor and falling off the bone tender. For dessert we had keylime pie and bread pudding. Overall everything was exceptional. From the level of service to the food. You must give this place a try. I mean....you just have too.

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday for brunch and it seemed like it was the perfect time! It started getting a little bit busy closer to 1. I ended up getting the chicken and waffles and my sister got the biscuits and gravy. We also got a side of the grits. Can I just say how good and flavorful all of this was. I still cannot believe that this place is closing. Everything had some sort of flavor. My sister and I split the entrees so we could both try both options and it was perfect. The portions were great. Something that was weird is that the gratuity was already included but overall everything was great, our waitress was great. Super attentive. I truly hope they open a location somewhere else because this place will be missed

Yelp
I would not recommend getting steak here. This place was near us and I happened to see it described as a great place to get a steak... Steak was okay but pork chops were really good. (Sorry for the blurry photo of the star of the show!) I probably should have tried this for brunch instead, but I was on the hunt for a steak! The steak was decent but all the flavor came from the mushroom sauce on top. My side of black beans was... horrible to be blunt. They weren't cooked properly and there was still very hard beans in an otherwise soupy bean. The taste was also lacking. Now the positive of all this was the pork chop. I'm insanely lucky to have a husband who trades me bites of food and after a bite of the pork chop I was ready to trade all my steak! It's pretty large and cooked to perfection, none of the dryness that can happen easily with pork. It kept the juiciness and the flavor. This place is located on a quieter corner but it did have two separate places in the glass where it had attempted to be broken. A little concerning when your table is pressed up against a window with one of the cracks! The chairs definitely will squeeze anyone with a bigger butt or hips. There's a few booths you could ask for. Our server was nice enough, nothing positive nor negative with them. Overall: I would avoid doing dinner here and instead try brunch where others have had success. If you happen to do dinner, get the pork chop!

Yelp
Our first night in NOLA we wanted fish so headed to NOLA Caye since we could walk from our hotel. We entered an almost empty space due to our very early hour for happy hour and then dinner. Seated at a corner table immediately, our server came over soon thereafter. We ordered Paloma's from the happy hour menu while we talked about what food we wanted to order. We decided on the crab and conch fritters and they were so hot and fresh that I could have just made a meal out of these. From the regular menu we ordered the fresh fish Jerk style. The fish was wahoo which we normally love. We also ordered a salad with pineapple vinaigrette. The Wahoo is a dense fish and we've eaten enough to know this but this fish was so dry it was difficult to eat. The server said she would comp it and we could order something else. We chose the ginger salmon and were not disappointed. We had it cooked medium rare and it was hot, flaky and the sauce was well balanced and not too sweet. Delicious! The salad was interesting and tasty with small bits of pineapple, avocado, corn and coconut shavings. A treat because it was so different from most salads. Highly recommend! As a side we ordered the jalapeno grits and these were a percentage accompaniment to our fish and salad. The grits were not creamy, they were cheesy and while the jalapeno wasn't very spicy it was a nice flavor in the grits. Would definitely get any of these dishes again. For dessert, we ordered the banana cream pie and after a mix up of being served the key lime with bananas and caramel on top, we got the correct pie and it was amazing! The caramel under the banana cream and then bananas, whipped cream and caramel sauce in top made it have mired depth than just banana cream. The server was incredibly helpful and friendly. The food is delicious and has some interesting twists on the usual and the atmosphere is intimate and decorated with class. A great first meal in NOLA - thank you!

Yelp
Another 5 star dining experience. We came last minute on a Sunday brunch for 2 and was seated right away. If you're a Yelp friend you know my expectations for bottomless mimosas and they didn't disappoint. I noticed the glasses for mimosas was smaller than last time but I promise you I never got to 1/2 empty without someone topping me off. This time around I got the biscuit & gravy and though it was good I enjoyed the biscuit & gravy more than the chicken which was overcooked to the point I thought for minute it was chicken fried steak til I saw it was white meat lol nonetheless the service, drink and food still get 5 stars for me! If you're looking for a lively, chill spot to go with your girls or group of friends to eat and enjoy good company, come here, even though we didn't need a reservation this time around, I would still recommend making one.

Paige B.

Yelp
Oh my gawd!!! Loved this place while in NOLA. The food was on point, the service was even better and the bottomless mimosas were AH-MAY-ZING! My cup runneth over at every moment! The vibes were so good in the spot... we sat at the bar and the other restaurant goers and the staff were all dope. I had the crab and conch fritters ... don't pass them up! I also had the Nola caye breakfast... honestly, I'd pass on that... would've preferred something else. It was good but nothing to write home about. Recommend making a reservation! Don't miss brunching here... you'd be sorry!

Yelp
As we were visiting to watch the New Orleans Saints season opener, we had a chance to visit many places. Given that we had a large party and were very hungry, this place provided some of the best service. The food ordered was delicious and delivered on time.

Teresa M.

Yelp
We accident hit this spot up, yet we found ourselves pleasantly surprised. There's a seat yourself bar top & hostess seated tables. The establishment is clean & well-lit. We co-shared ceviche, 3 tacos with plantains & key lime pie - the hubs is a leylime pie addict & insisted I try it. It was a tangy, delicious pie, with fresh zest & meringue! We each also had a happy hour drink. There was a slight mix up once the bill came. We'd ordered the ceviche, which was on the happy hour list, however it was at full price. The GM (Weston) saw us looking over the itemized receipt and hustled over to ask if anything was wrong. I said maybe & told him the situation. He stated that there's a smaller happy hour option & a full sized, full priced option. We were given the full sized at full price. I said that we were unaware, as first time visitors & would have ordered the ceviche either way, so, it was fine, if we got the full sized, we'd pay for it in full. Still, he whisked away the bill & presented a corrected one to the price we were expecting, presented his card and told us to contact him with any concerns. I found this to be incredibly professional. Our total came to $75, including tip. Sure, it was kind of high for tacos BUT they were fabulous & a rather fun options! Our raking #1shrimp, #2fish, #3oyster. The drinks were great & the happy hour prices really are good, just make sure you tell them you're ordering from the hammy hour menu.

Yelp
So it's almost been a year since my last visit to Nola Caye and I'm glad to say they did not disappoint! This time I brought my husband and we chanced going without a reservation. Luckily they had a few seats open at the bar. The staff is super attentive and waited on us immediately. After deciding on our food order, we settled on the Chicken and Waffles (my husband's choice) and the Grits and Grillades. I really wanted to try something different on the menu this time. Both were good and came out in a timely manner. The cheddar grits were sooo good, I could really used a spoon to eat with. The oxtail was tender and juicy. My only note is that I wish there was a little more spice on the oxtails! I do still think the shrimp and grits are my favorite though! I did steal a piece of waffle and chicken from my husband's plate and it felt like warm hug! I'll be back soon and next time with reservations! Food is too good here to be turned around because they stay booked and busy!

Yelp
I dined at NOLA Caye at least a handful of times by now and I must say, with each visit, I am thoroughly impressed. The environment is lively and welcoming, providing the perfect atmosphere for a great meal. Most notable is the Jerk Sea Bass, absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor comes yellow rice but can be substituted for any offered sides. You can't miss with the brunch menu which offers a wide variety of options to suit any taste. I prefer the chicken and waffles. The availability of valet service is a huge convenience and truly made the dining experience stress-free. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, making sure that every need was taken care of. One of the best things about this restaurant is that you can always get a seat. Overall, I would highly recommend NOLA Caye to anyone looking for an amazing dining experience with top-notch service. Five stars, hands down.

Scott S.

Yelp
This was a great find in downtown NOLA! The food was excellent and the service very friendly. We enjoyed the oxtail sandwich more than the crispy chicken sandwich, but it was also tasty. The jalapeno-cheddar grits were top notch. The restaurant was fairly quiet but it was a Tuesday night after Thanksgiving, so maybe that's why they were slower. This place is worth checking out!

Stephanie R.

Yelp
Love all the glass windows! Its the first thing I noticed before sitting down. My waiter was very sweet and friendly, he didnt rush us to order and let us take our time looking at the menu. I ordered the crispy wings and the braised oxtails with jalapeño cheddar grits and let me say it did not disappoint. The glaze on the wings had the right amount of sweet with a hint of heat. Freaking loved the pineapple-mango glazed def was my favorite. Baby the seasoning on the oxtails were everything. Dont worry the drinks weren't lacking either.

Jason C.

Yelp
Best brunch I've ever had. Service was great and atmosphere was perfect. This place gets pretty busy so make sure to reserve in advance if you could. We got lucky as a party was unable to make it.

Ahmanie C.

Yelp
I've thought about the bread pudding almost daily ‍ The cherry is just the right touch for me! Best espresso martini I have ever had. How did they get the foam foamin like that?! Excellent. I tried the oxtails & grits. Delicious, but gravy was more of a jus.

Vida B.

Yelp
I had the Shrimp and Grits, Wow, so different from Texas. The Grits were chunky and not creamy but excellent. The shrimp was on the side in a Sauce that I have not ever tasted with a nice slice of Toasted buttery French bread. Excellent. Nice Atmosphere, nice Drink Menu. Would definitely recommend.

Jaquay R.

Yelp
On vacation in NOLA and saw this place had really good reviews and the pics of the food looked so good. So I made sure to check them out. My last dinner stop the night before the end of trip and I'm so happy I decided to dine here. A variety of choices on the menu that allowed me a break from all the creole style food I had eaten the previous 3 days of my trip. I had the wings and chicken sandwich...both were delicious. My sister had the seafood salad. We both shared the amazing oreo cookie ice cream sandwich dessert. The ambience was real chill and mellow. Our waitress Reed was super nice. NOLA Caye is definitely on my collection list to visit when I'm in town.

Daniel S.

Yelp
Ok! Great spot , foods really good. Portions are on the smaller side but it's worth it. I went at 3:40 on a Sunday and was givin a brunch menu only for our server to let us know that we only had 5 minutes left to order brunch so we got their full menu only to be told "lunch/dinner" didn't start until 4pm. Kinda strange but service was good , our server was very nice. Their expresso martini is to die. I like the location and it's pretty inside!

Monche'l C.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in uptown New Orleans is in a quiet spot with lots of parking. Upon entering, it's very beautiful and the ambience is very modern. We were told an hr wait but was say in 20 mins. However, the chairs here are very small. They are not for larger or thick individuals. However, they do offer a booth option I which I would highly recommend requesting if you are a larger size. The food presentation was great I had the Nolacaye breakfast(see menu). The grits were good, creamy and buttery and decent portion but it had a sweeter taste to it, wasn't a fan but worth the taste if you like grits. The bacon was good and crisp, the best part was the biscuits flaky buttery and perfectly made wish I would've just got an order of biscuits and jelly! Overall 5/10! My sister had the an open face biscuit with a chicken breast drenched in gravy! This meal was the winner again the biscuit made perfectly and the chicken was well crisped and seasoned and lots of gravy but get extra if your gravy person. No sides come with! Overall 8/10. For the drinks we had the painkiller and jalapeño margarita, good drink but really sweet and only finished because it was already ordered! Overall 4/10 I would say not a place for kids or a birthday brunch but a breakfast date this would be enjoyable my overall visit would be a 7/10!

Zahkyia H.

Yelp
Wonderful brunch spot in New Orleans, not too far from the French quarter. We took the trolley from the warehouse district and it was quick and easier. Sat at the bar and Kyle and Sam were AMAZING! They were so sweet and attentive. They had great recommendations and they keep our mimosas full! Both menus are available during brunch. Bottomless mimosas are only $21, and they have a variety of juices to choose from, my favorite is grapefruit. We started with the wings- sweet and spicy mango sauce- delish! And make sure to get the house made ranch. My friend and I split the oxtail and shrimp and grits. Both we're extremely good. The shrimp was in a creamy cajun sauce and shrimp was cooked to perfection. The oxtail had a red wine rue and it was tender and juicy. Both were served on top of Jalapeño cheddars grits. We barely made it dessert but we could miss the chance because everything else was so good. Get the banana cream, you will burst with joy and too much food haha. I'm visiting Nola Caye every time I'm in New Orleans!

Reia B.

Yelp
An absolutely great brunch spot. The food was great. If you like traditional breakfast, I highly recommend the Nola Caye Breakfast. It comes with eggs, some of the best grits I had at a restaurant, potatoes, the thickest piece of bacon I have ever had, and a biscuit. The breakfast did not disappoint, oh and I ordered a waffle, yeah too greedy lol. A big fan favorite is the oxtail and grits, yeah it was hitting if you are in the mood. Our waitress was phenomenal. We had a party of seven and she handled us like a true pro from our food to our drinks to dividing the checks. It was a chill vibe, a very popular weekend brunch spot. I look forward to visiting again!

Sabrina F.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place but We ended up disappointed by our experience at Nola caye. We made a reservation two weeks prior since we were a large group of 12 (which we understand is hard to seat all together) but we did make a reservation (through email bc they won't make reservations for a group that large over the phone) and they never said it would be an issue. So it was surprising that once we get there they spilt us up but sat a group just as large as ours together a minute before us... Aside from that, the service at one of our tables wasn't good. The gentleman was not friendly, attentive, or helpful. The other waitress was very sweet and nice. The food was decent overall, nothing special. Personally wouldn't come back. If you decide to go just beware that the overall service wasn't great and food is just okay. The only good thing I can say is the ambiance is nice.

Ricky R.

Yelp
NOLA CAYE for the GRAND SLAM WIN Shot out to the best servers for our group, Skylar, Hannah, & Chris. Dante was the best bartender. The manager Wes was truly a class-act, him and his crew are a master of their craft. This place is absolutely OUTSTANDING .

Dessi B.

Yelp
True definition of a bottomless brunch. So happy I came here. So I stopped by here for brunch on a Saturday, we sat at the bar. For the bottomless mimosa your glass will remain filled after a sip, another champagne bottle was popped and poured. Ralph was the bartender that took care of us. So here they pour the champagne in your glass and you have the option to add your juice of choice. The oxtail and grits all I have to say is just order it. I promise you it will be the best brunch food you ever tried. Easily a 10/10 My boyfriend had the chicken and waffles and he enjoyed it. The ambiance, they do play soft rnb and chilled music. Its a spot for a brunch date or a girls day out.

Loriyon J.

Yelp
Update! Went back again to try something new and still five star rating. Everything that I've tried has been amazing and the staff is even better! Great vibes always

Scot W.

Yelp
Went here for a late lunch. Ate at the bar area. The servers were very friendly and attentive without hovering, and the barroom was cool without being a refrigerator. The tables and chairs are well spread out, so people are not on top of each other, and the bar area was mildly more energetic without being loud. I had a green salad and a cuban sandwich with plantain chips. The sandwich was great; tasso ham in a cuban works really well and throws that little curve ball that makes you notice it. The plantain chips were crisp and light, but could have used a touch more salt or some additional seasoning. The salad was excellent; the grilled pineapple and the light, citrusy vinaigrette complemented the mixed greens and diced carrots very well. The only weak spot was the tomato; it was bland and a little mushy. The salad would have been better off without it. But, it was off to the side, so it didn't interfere with the enjoyment of the rest of the salad. The brunch menu looked excellent and there were definitely other items on their lunch menu that caught my eye. The place offers a nice combination of local flavors and Caribbean dishes.

Paul H.

Yelp
Had high expectations but wasn't thrilled with the food here. Service was great and it a nice place overall. My partner liked the braised oxtails w/ creamy grits but my dish (3 tacos - fried oyster, fish and pork) and plantain chips weren't up to par with other places we've been here in New Orleans. The Hot Pama margarita was decent. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing !

N M.

Yelp
This place was amazing. Beautiful restaurant lined with several glass windows. Funky and sophisticated vibe. Amazing service and great food. Can't believe they're closing! PLEASE open another one because that banana cream pie was the best I've ever eaten in my life! Thank you for holding space and allowing us patrons to make memories of a lifetime. Sad to see you closing your doors.

Chevelle P.

Yelp
Top tier brunch menu, bottomless mimosas, the food was immaculate. No one carried home a go plate! The service was so genuine and friendly! They ALL had smiles and were racing to make sure our drinks were never empty! The atmosphere was very friendly and fun. It seemed as if everyone in the building was enjoying themselves!! Amazing time was had I can't wait to go back! Best birthday Brunch I've ever had

Sascha M.

Yelp
I'm so sad to have learned this restaurant is permanently closed. I came here for a bachelorette party a couple of years ago and I've always remembered the restaurant and talked about it for months. Now that I'm back visiting Nola I wanted it to be a stop on my food tour THEEEE BEST OXTAILS AND GRITS I'VE EVER HAD

Nora R.

Yelp
From start to finish Nola Caye was one of the best restaurants I visited while in town for work. I had heard good things about this restaurant so decided to give it a try for lunch. The food was delicious and well seasoned. We ordered the crab and conch fritters as our appetizer and the fritters did not disappoint. For our meals, we ordered the crispy oyster and crabmeat Benedict and crispy oysters and crispy shrimp tacos with a side of crispy plantain chips. The crispy oysters for both the Benedict and tacos were flavorful and plentiful. I'm typically not a fan of crispy plantains, the these plantains were perfectly fried. Our server Roselyn was also very attentive and made the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant is cute and I will definitely return on my next trip!

Monte' J.

Yelp
July 14th, 2022 Out and about and wanted some good food and Nola came highly recommended. I did make a reservation, the seating was simple and easy. I ordered the Tacos 5/5 these were so flavorful and definitely a must-have. The lady ordered a 4/5 shrimp taco dish which she enjoyed. The lady also ordered a drink. I would come back for the tacos and try a other dishes. The atmosphere was unique and the staff was pleasant.

Chee K.

Yelp
The inside of this restraint is light an airy. The staff is receptive and friendly. We didn't have a reservation on weekday dinner and were able to be seated right away. I ordered the fish tacos, they were ok. Nothing too exciting but solid. My husband had their cubano sandwich which was pretty tasty. My son said he liked his Island burger. I'm not sure if I'd come back in this foodie city, but it was pretty good for casual restaurant.

Jaime T.

Yelp
We went for brunch the day after tales of the cocktail events. We ordered the ox tails and seared tuna. My tuna was filling and both friends enjoyed the oxtails they ordered. We had french 75s that were tasty. The restaurant was simple yet beautiful with a lovely bar and plenty of table seating. I look forward to visiting again

Janay M.

Yelp
The food on this plate had flavor in every bite. The salmon was cooked well done, but you have the option to cook it to your liking. The yellow rice, immaculate. Tony first time at Nola Caye, I ordered the oxtail and grits which were amazing. The service wasn't all that well but I gave it another try and better the second time around! Nola Caye is a beautiful restaurant with a gentle ambiance, nice tunes playing in the background and good vibes around.

Penaja G.

Yelp
This is a very beautiful restaurant but the set up is kind of odd, like it used to be a hibachi restaurant or something. Many of the tables are connected so you're sitting directly next to people who may not be in your party. I ordered from the menu what translates to be oxtails and grits. The grits were supposedly jalapeño cheddar flavored but I didn't get any of that. They were pretty bland. The oxtails however, had tons of flavor. So much so that I only ate half of them then put the other half in a to go box to fly back down to Florida with me and pair with my own homemade grits.

Brisje G.

Yelp
My friend goes to this place alot that lives in New Orleans. When I visited, I decided to give it a try. Nola Caye is very inviting with a nice ambiance. I sat at the bar because I wanted a quick bite paired with a nice cocktail. I ordered their most popular cocktail the 3 spice margarita. It was so creative. The ice sphere had the spice in it so over time the drink gets more of a kick. I really loved the innovation. For my meal, I ordered the trio tacos with one side. I tried the shrimp, oyster, and Caribbean pork tacos. The fried oyster one was my favorite! It was def the star of my place, next would be the pork then the shrimp. It was paired with a yellow Caribbean rice. Overall the meal was tasty, I would love to go back for brunch.

Rachael E.

Yelp
Great service, with very friendly staff. The bartender was super nice. The tacos and ahi tuna appetizer were incredible also! I specifically loved the jerk chicken taco. Lots of great Caribbean-inspired drinks as well. The vibe is trendy, yet casual. Definitely recommend this place.

Stefanie C.

Yelp
Normally I wouldn't review somewhere I haven't visited in-person, but Nola Caye seemed too good to be true. I placed a $500 DoorDash order for a private event my company was hosting at Rusty Nail, and the food was a hit amongst attendees. I can't speak to the customer service or restaurant vibe, but the flavors, textures, and ingredients were off the charts. I got several types of tacos, as well as chilled queso dip and coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp (with its orange marmalade dipping sauce) was probably my favorite. I didn't meet a taco I didn't like. Everyone devoured the food and went out of their way to ask where I ordered it from. Next time I'm in NOLA, I'm definitely prioritizing dining at Nola Caye in-person.

Yelp
The service here is immaculate. Went on a Friday for brunch. OpenTable has a Max capacity of four for a reservation, so called the restaurant to see if they were able to adjust for five and they did. Reservation definitely recommended for brunch as a wait times that that were given to other guests was long. Seated right away at the reservation time and a couple of people in the group ordered the bottomless mimosas. Let's just say they were what they were advertised. My glass never got half empty several servers going around filling up to the brim. The breakfast burrito was referred along with the oyster and crab Benedict. I personally ordered the breakfast burrito (not pictured cause I ate it up) and I would get it again. The bacon was so thick and cooked perfection. The three different sauces on top make the dish even better. Only complaint is there are only two unisex bathrooms, which sometimes caused a line/wait in the hallway due to the size of the restaurant. plenty of street parking nearby.

Yelp
Great vibe and staff! Fam had chicken and waffles, and I had the skirt steak! Wait staff were awesome, they kept mimosas the rollin in for ya girl-thanks! I will be back for sure! Saints game And Nola Caye- win-win! Mothers Day Plus! I missed out on the oxtails, but I'm coming back dammit-lol! Definite must stop, with your girls, your boo, or just you! You will be soooo glad you did!

Yelp
Nola Caye is one of my favorite places for brunch. The decor and ambiance gives a relaxed yet upscale vibe. If you have friends that are picky eaters or on a budget, probably would not recommend because once you get your drinks and see the serving size.. it's a done deal. My friends and I always have a blast sitting at the bar. You get more positive and direct interaction with staff. I feel like at the tables you get forgotten about, especially with a smaller party.

Yelp
Food was delish. I ordered the island stack and I was not disappointed. Everything tasted very fresh which can sometimes be rare. I highly recommend this salad, you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Nola Caye is a whole vibe and their food is fantastic!! I tried the oyster tacos, chicken & waffles, and oxtails & grits. We had to eat family style cuz I needed to try as many things that i could on the menu. I highly recommend coming with your sharing friends, so you can too! They really need to come up with a sampling situation where they let you get a spoonful of every dish that they offer because everything sounds so bomb on their menu!! Whether you're visiting New Orleans or a local looking to try something new, Nola Caye is surely a place you need to have on your munch list!

Yelp
We tried this restaurant on a recommendation. We started with red sangria and it was very tasty. Our appetizer was coconut shrimp and they were really good. The dipping sauce was a pineapple glaze that was very good. We also tried the seafood ceviche and it was okay. I may not order that again. We split a fish entree that was good, but unremarkable. The service was great and we will definitely go again.

Yelp
This was my first time catching them for dinner. First off the ambiance gave a nice botanical vibe and the bathrooms were really clean For the food we were only able to get appetizers as we were stuffed lol everything was tasty. The textures of the dishes were on point! I really enjoyed the queso dip which despite having jalapeños wasn't spicy in my opinion ( good for mom but I like a little kick ya know?). For the fritters get an extra lime because it takes the fritters to the next level Service was good as we just missed the happy hour rush and left right before the dinner wave hit. I would like to try the tacos next P.S. GET THE PAINKILLER thank me later

Yelp
Had the pleasure of visiting this place with a coworker and our food and drinks were delicious. It's located on a corner and upon entry there is a hostess counter whom will get you situated. Our waiter was there within 5 mins of us being seated and explained the specials and got us started with drinks and appetizers. They did run out of the fish I ensured but the oxtail entree was a good compromise. It was a bit fatty than what I expected but overall delicious.

Yelp
NOLA Cayyyyyyyeeeeeeee! Interesting fact, Caye is my best friend of 26 years' namesake....I mean exact spelling and all so when I caught the suggestion from a friend that frequents NOLA quite often, I knew bestie and I had to dip like a chip and get in there and see what's popping! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllll, THEY DID NOT MISSSSSSSSS! We decided to go Tapas style on the fare with our bottomless mimosas! We also added fresh (so they say, but the strawberry and the mango were definitely sugary concentrates that we sometimes use in bars and bakeries) juice purées to go with them for $10 more! It was still good, just not "freshly" juiced! The menu sounds amazing, but we wanted to keep it light ..sort of, kind of! Lol we chose the Crispy Chicken wings with mango pineapple hot sauce, the coconut shrimp with jicama slaw and Orange marmalade, the crab and conch fritters accompanied by a garlic lime aioli, and last but not least, to add some greens we ordered a roasted chicken Cobb, but swapped the avocado ranch for the spicy pineapple vinaigrette! Everything was DELICIOUS and executed quite well! Our waitress, Monica DID WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE, okay!!? She kept our glasses filled and was very attentive to our table! I think she knew we sold drugs on the low and the reason we were there! Lol A part of that is visiting the city during the week, especially before a major holiday weekend! Hats off, NOLA Caye!

Yelp
Our plane landed and we were starving after traveling all day. We stopped in just as the dinner hour was starting after seeing the place as we were driving to our hotel. The atmosphere was exactly what we had hoped for - friendly, welcoming, treating us like old friends. It felt classy and casual at the same time. Our server was incredible. She helped us with recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed - sometimes before we knew we needed it. The food was DELISH! It was fresh and you could see that every detail was attended to with care. The friend plantains were amazing! The tacos were incredible! We highly recommend this place and will be back next time we're in NOLA.

Yelp
This is the best brunch spot in New Orleans, hands down. From the food, to the staff, to the bottomless mimosas-- this is your spot. Make a reservation because it gets busy, fast. But, definitely check it out.

Yelp
This place is absolutely cute when you first walk into the restaurant. Our server was so sweet and talked us through the whole menu when she found out this was our first time dinning here. Our food was definitely good, but it kind of took awhile to arrive to our table. We came here during a slow hour so, it was kind of a shock to why it was a little slow. Overall, quality of the food was great. I recommend their corn! Probably the best corn I ate in my life. I regret not ordering another corn togo home. We will definitely return here!

Yelp
Extremely cute restaurant, super friendly staff, and the food is good. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and I enjoyed it a lot. I think the chicken could be a little bit more moist but overall I really enjoyed my meal. I tried the shrimp and grits as well and I liked the sweet flavor a lot. One of the locals actually recommended this spot for us to check out before heading to the airport so shout out to him.
