We love this restaurant so much that we rented out the space for our rehearsal dinner. The owner, Julien, and his team did a phenomenal job from start to finish. They catered the meal to our tastes and dietary restrictions, printed custom personalized menus (a nice surprise!), and accommodated our budget. We had an unforgettable meal that was so unique and delicious! The service was great and the atmosphere is casual and beautiful. Thank you so so so much.

A restaurant that is very creative and pays the most attention to the tiniest details of food ❤️❤️ The staff is super nice and welcoming and give really good recommendations! We had the shrimp, tomatoes for appetizers and gnocchi as the main meal and really great tasty food ❤️❤️ Full compliments to the chef for making the food with so much attention to detail ! Cannot wait to come back to this 10/10 venue for a date night and enjoy other items on the menu

Wow! the carrots and linguine were to die for! We also had the tuna crudo and beef tongue they were really good. The service was very on point and elevated but with a casual atmosphere and no dress code as their motto is “as you are”. We will definitely be back.

Took the tasting menu for 80$ per person. We had 3 services in total. The dishes were good, especially the beef tartare, the steak and the beef tongue. The portions were ok for 3 people. We weren’t hungry but not full either. I took a rhubarb mocktail and it tasted a little bland. Nothing special aside from the sourness. The service was good and the waitress was kind. However, they had to kick us out after 2 hours right after our last bite since there were other people waiting. The time limit wouldn’t have been a problem if the food came a bit faster. The place is small and our table was cramped in a corner. The seat was pretty unconfortable and tight. We were 3 but we had to share a small table for 2. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and the food, but I don’t think I would come back.

A great experience overall. A fun atmosphere, amazing service, wonderful and friendly staff, and delicious seasonal dishes. On the menu: • Beet: Lonza, Chives Sour cream, Blood Sorrel • Salade blanche: Endives, Radicchio, Manchego, Honeycrisp, King Mushrooms • Cabbage: Ranch, Piperade, Anchovy • Crab: Homemade POM Bread, Tarragon, Quebec Ginger • Striploin (PEI): Forestière Sauce, Potato straws, Persillade • Beef: Honey Mustard, Louis d'Or, Sweet Potatoes • Panna Cotta: Mocha, Greek Yogourt, Oranges Gel • ... and a bunch of delicious, custom made cocktails.

Very disappointing experience. Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin. Was it the single carrot that cost $14? Or the tiny, flavorless shrimp served in a lukewarm, milky sauce that tasted like nothing at all? The beef tartare came with just four thin crackers, and when we asked for more, we were told the “chef” had carefully “portioned” the dish — as if we were being scolded for wanting enough to eat. It honestly felt like we were being mocked. And I’m not someone who complains easily — I love food and I’m far from picky — but this was just bad. Even the green salad was a letdown: massive, uncut chunks of lettuce, whole sprigs of dill thrown on top (not chopped), almost no dressing. It felt like someone had pulled it straight from the garden and skipped washing it. To make things worse, the service was cold and unwelcoming. The waitstaff seemed annoyed to be serving us, like we were an inconvenience. The whole experience was awkward, uncomfortable, and far from what I’d expect at a place charging these prices. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but in this case, I genuinely felt I had no choice.

Delicious meal! Beef tartare was incredible, we ended up taking two!! There were a few dishes that lacked flavour and the pesto pasta was overly salted, but all in all highly recommend. The toffee with black tea caramel was absolutely stunning! Staff is well knowledge both about food and drinks, atmosphere is cozy and personal, but very dim. Food takes some time, but it’s worth it as each plate is carefully thought out and put together. Ingredients are seasonal and local. Plates are small and made to share, we took 6 dishes for 4 people.

This review is based on my visit last October during a short trip to Montreal. We visited this place as walk-ins. It was a Monday, and I assume that’s why there was only one server, which led to a wait of about 10 minutes before being seated. The service, however, was friendly and helpful. I don’t remember the exact taste of everything we ordered at this point, but the quail dish stood out as impressive. On the other hand, the shishito peppers felt lacking in flavor and a bit bland. I hadn’t checked the price range for glasses of wine beforehand, and they were around $18–19, which felt a bit pricey. Overall, including tips, we paid about $100 each, but it didn’t really feel worth this much.

I would definitely go back. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable and the food was delicious. Ambiance was great with dim lighting and the music wasn't too loud so we were able to have great and intimate conversations.

I've always been to Nolan for a morning coffee, but this time I visited to celebrate one my besties birthday and it was amazing! The food was great, the service was perfect and the interior and ambiance were great as well. 10/10 I strongly recommend this wine bar!

The wine, the food and the vibe were all absolutely delicious. This place is thoughtful and cozy while being the right amount of cool and trendy. We will definitely be back to try more.

A great little restaurant with fantastic service in Montreal. The food was great, the ambiance was nice with the windows open during the summer and wine selection was good as well. Nice spot for a date!

We were appropriately dressed and very polite, but were denied a table here last night. We were told there were no tables available until 10 pm, but they clearly had visible availability in the restaurant and online via their reservation system. Very disappointing to be treated so badly. Really ruined our evening. We cannot know precisely why, but as a short person it is not the first time this has occurred In this city unfortunately.

Disappointed with my last visit to Nolan. We used to love this place when it first opened but since the change in staff/ownership it doesn't live up to the hype. Food was ok, but overpriced for the quality. There are better places in Montreal of same vibe/calibre but with highly superior food. - Crudo did not taste fresh 2/5. Overwhelming onion flavor. - salad was ok. Nothing great. 3/5 - lobster was tiny, not memorable. 3/5 - cavatelli was good, lacked a little flavor but still overall worth it :) 4/5 Wine selection was good. 5/5 I wish I could rate higher as this place was on my Top 3 list since opening.

Okay ambiance, very limited food and drink menu. The pastas are better than other dishes. Service was quite slow, would not recommend

My favorite wine bar and restaurant in Montreal. Anytime I'm in town I have to go. The energy, the vibe, the food the wine. Unreal service as well.

Very disappointing dinner experience. First off, place is really really hot, there's no AC, no fans. Really loud too like mother people say in the comments. Cocktails: overpriced and underwhelming. Wine: way too warm. Service: our server had an attitude. it took over an hour to get out food even though we ordered before the people beside us (same dishes too) and they got served 15 min before us. They made a mistake on the bill, they charged me less, and I when I pointed it out they proceeded to charge me more instead of owning their mistake like any proper restaurant with those prices does. Food: the scallops were not fresh, hot and you couldn't even taste the scallop because the pepper sauce was too overpowering. Ridiculous size for the price. Go to vin papillon or vin mon lapin if you want good scallops at that price. The tomato salad was full of water, tomatoes had no flavour. Steak was extremely over cooked. Potatoes under salted. Overall a very disappointing meal at the price of a high end restaurant, but without the proper service, quality of food and drinks. Oh also 22$ for a glass of red wine that was way too warm. I left the place feeling like I got scammed.
