If you’re a coffee snob, this is absolutely your place. Nomad is a really cool coffee spot tucked in and narrow street in El Born; they have specialty coffee with a large selection of beans. At the time I went, they did not have decaf. There is not much seating, so only about four bar seats and a bench, more for waiting for your drinks. Prices are pretty high, but it’s artisan coffee. Their coffee has a strong taste, so if that’s what you’re looking for, this is for you!

I love love love Nomad. Is it really a hidden spot if everyone knows about it? Tucked away in a beautiful side street in El Born. I am not exaggerating when I say everything was perfect. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The coffee was of the highest level. I first went in the morning and I had to go back again the same day in the afternoon. Highly recommended 👍🏼

Google
That’s the place to be in Barcelona- it’s the real deal. You wanna go here if you like coffee. Great selection- great Barista - coffee only. They have 3 espresso roasts to choose from. Only Oat milk as alternative that’s kinda a bummer- but I guess most folk don’t drink here the milk based drinks anyhow. This is the place for coffee lovers

Google
Nomad Coffee El Born feels like a studio dedicated to the craft, tucked off Passatge Sert with exposed brick, simple stools, and shelves of fresh roasts. The baristas greet everyone with quiet enthusiasm, happy to chat beans or let you enjoy the music while they work. We ordered two flat whites, one built on a Costa Rica lot with smooth milk-chocolate and caramel notes, and mine made with a Colombia profile that opened up into melon, peach, and a hint of jasmine. Both cups were perfectly balanced, the milk silky and integrated right to the last sip. Curiosity led me to try the Burundi iced brew, bright with pineapple and orange, refreshing and complex at the same time. Humble service, thoughtful coffee, and an atmosphere free of pretension make Nomad Coffee El Born a dream for anyone who loves their coffee pure and simple. Shoutout to Gosha and Vadym for the amazing service and for being so patient with my questions.

Google
Nomad is truly a hidden gem in Barcelona for coffee lovers. Their V60 is exceptional — easily one of the best I’ve ever had — and the espresso and milk-based drinks are equally impressive. Despite the shop being small and often busy, the staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to help you choose the right beans. The atmosphere is cozy, and the quality speaks for itself. If you’re in Barcelona and skip this place, you’re genuinely missing out. They also offer a great selection of beans to take home. A must-visit!

Google
I ordered the “Columbia Mango” as an iced filter coffee — and it was excellent. It had a peachy profile with a subtle hint of passion fruit, and a mellow, honey-like aftertaste. Really refreshing and well-balanced. Definitely recommend this one if you’re into fruity and vibrant coffees.

Google
Their coffee? Outstanding. I tried the Ethiopian pour-over, and it was beautifully fruity with notes of blueberry and jasmine—perfectly balanced and brewed with clear care. You can tell the baristas here know their craft and are passionate about every cup they serve. The place is tucked away in a beautiful street comfortably located in BCN center, this place feels like a hidden gem.

Google
This might just be the best coffee we had in Spain. Nomad is a well-known coffee roaster, and when we arrived at 5:30 PM, there was already a long queue —about 20 people ahead of us. After waiting 15 minutes, we finally got to order, but since the café was closing in 15 minutes, the barista let us know that hand-dripped coffee was unavailable. Instead, we were offered batch brew, which turned out to be a pleasant surprise —it had a delightful melon-like aroma and was incredibly fragrant. For those eager to try their hand-dripped coffee, arriving early is a must! Their coffee beans are also very reasonably priced, with 250g of SOE beans costing just around 20-something euros.

Yelp
specialty coffee roasters in the middle of barcelona! amazing cup of coffee. the staff was very kind and knowledgeable! nomad coffee made our trip 10x better because we were searching far and wide for specialty coffee. this was our favorite place to drink coffee. the environment was cool! quick service and perfect to hangout inside. i would literally fly back in a heartbeat. i order bags of coffee beans from nomad every so often because they always carry interesting processes and my partner lovesss their coffee! :)

Yelp
Great coffee! Exceptional service! Highly recommend for quality espresso. We're so kind to our kids.
google avatar

Yelp
Alright cappuccinos, a little lukewarm for my preference but smooth texture and flavor. The baristas are super kind and friendly!
google avatar

Yelp
Knowledgeable staff who provide great recommendations, a good cup of coffee and a cute atmosphere. Not a ton of seating room inside but it wasn't an issue for us

Yelp
Lovely spot. Snuck in and had an espresso. Sit down, chill drink your coffee and enjoy the world, Perfect. This is a serious coffee spot that you instantly feel welcome in. Really golden.

Yelp
Loved the coffee - and the fact that one can choose from different options / flavors for espresso
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic coffee in a very purist setting. There's only coffee and nothing else. Be advised they have no sugar in any form so if that's a need you have, better bring some along.
google avatar

Daira R.

Yelp
Excellent coffee shop. The baristas are friendly and really know they're coffee. If you're looking for Frappuccinos or caramel macchiatos, this place isn't for you. They don't have sugar. But if you're looking for a really good coffee or latte or cold brew. This is it. I came here twice during my two day stay in Barcelona because I was so pleased with what they had on offer. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Nomad coffee is a craft coffee shop located in Barcelona. COFFEE (5/5): Various brew methods available including pour over, espresso drinks, and iced drinks. I recommend trying one of their pour-overs if you have the time to wait OR enjoying a cold brew (which is excellent). SERVICE (5/5): Very friendly and prompt service. ATMOSPHERE (4/5): Limited interior seating. Cool atmosphere. Merchandise for sale.

Yelp
Nomad coffee offers an impressive range of coffees on offer. The baristas are very friendly and helped us pick out a blend that we loved.

Yelp
After our fair share of cafe con leches and cortados, we were excited to check out this hip coffee shop in Barcelona--I've been following this spot on Insta for years, so it was cool to finally visit them in person. First off, the space is so rad. It's tucked away in a narrow passage way, surrounded by cute little boutiques, and the decor is clean and on point. Service was awesome--the baristas were very friendly and chatty and make great drinks. It was cool to see local regulars pop in while we were there, and it seemed like they knew everyone. We ordered an iced latte, nitro cold brew, and some beans to take home--which is something we try to do on every trip. While we waited, they served us some water and we grabbed a little bench seat along the side wall. Drinks were served in really cool glassware (we're nerds about that stuff) and we even asked them where they got them from, and they told us about a local store. Don't let anybody tell you the people in Barcelona aren't friendly. The city is full of amazing, friendly peeps and really cool coffee shops like Nomad. Sooo ya check 'em out!

Yelp
Had the costa rican espresso con leche. Very good. I agree some prices on the menu were quite pricey but the costa rican one was the best priced at 2.5 euros. Strong coffee flavor Service was friendly and the place and decor was very clean

Yelp
Nomad Coffee hides between buildings and alleys and it it easy to miss if you don't pay attention to their location. Their decor is super cute but with limited seat and most people had their coffee to go. There were a great variety of coffee beans choices and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I love my coffee with soy milk due to I can't drink milk but they only served with oat milk. Nomad coffee is definitely a must visit place for all coffee aficionados.

Yelp
I think this was my favorite coffee of my time in Barcelona, if not my entire 3 weeks in Europe. Cool looking cafe with friendly service and more importantly, great coffee. It was pricey, so I only went once, but I'm regretting that now as I remember how good the espresso tasted. Would have liked to try more preparations... next time!
google avatar

Rozet S.

Yelp
Very hip, hidden, and cozy coffee spot! I ordered an iced latte and my husband ordered a cafe con leche. The coffee was very very good and strong--much needed since I was so jet lagged from our red eye flight. A little bummed they didn't have pastries, only coffee.
google avatar

Mannie S.

Yelp
A most come! Excellent coffee for serious coffee lover! They surely are proud of their coffee, and so they charge the same price for espresso, latte, or cappuccino. Love their confidence! Even though the coffee itself is what they specialized at, the baristas are very skilled at frosting the milk foam and making the latte art still, even with almond milk.
google avatar

Yelp
The Nomad Lab in Born is the best coffee shop we found over the course of a 2 week trip through Spain. It shouldn't be missed if you are a coffee aficionado. I'd recommend the flat white but if you are looking for something unique consider ordering the shakerato. The shakerato is an espresso shot that is prepared in a cocktail shaker. I went several times while I was in Barcelona and will return again next time I am in town. It is worth noting that they are only open Monday through Friday at this location. They have another location with only one espresso option that is open on the weekend.

Yelp
Cute little shop. I loved their layout and their bathroom is phenomenally clean. I think they live upstairs. Everything was so clean and neat. They have a few minis seats and I must warm you, they do not have sugar. I love that they don't believe in added sugar. They are confident with their coffee! I tried the oatmeal latte and regular latte. They were both very strong. Staff is extremely friendly.

Yelp
This coffee shop was pretty close proximity to our hotel; we didn't know but the coffee scene in Barcelona is on point, the only issue it seems like is the quantity of good coffee shops Nomad coffee is one of the quality shops; would go here again and have been going for the last week in Barcelona. Just there regular drip is pretty great, we wanted to do something they specialized in and it was there banana latte. It took a minute to get used to those two words together because I have never experienced those two, but we ended up getting it and the taste was pretty neat. I would rate the latte a 3.5/5; def had a banana taste to it with a pleasant coffee finish. The only reason I rated it less than 4 was the coffee wasn't it for being a latte and the price of the latte was pretty pricey. I know when you go into higher end coffee shops with artisan beans it's always a higher price but for the taste we were only left with it being just average. Now the other latte / cappuccino's we had I would rate those more on a 4/4.5 out of 5 because the temperature was just perfect, the taste was amazing, BUT more importantly the baristas knew what they were talking about and doing. A lot of baristas often aren't sure or aren't as familiar but the baristas that we're helping us we're very knowledgeable. In summary: this would be a spot we recommend, it's a nice cute and cozy spot, plenty of knowledgeable people. Will def be coming back to this spot.

Yelp
Another wonderful coffee shop on our trip exploring Spain. It has a much more traditional step than most of the other coffee shops we've seen. It's probably the priciest (€3 for drip coffee) but the cappuccinos are excellent and it's situated in a beautiful corridor around El Born.
google avatar

Yelp
This coffee shop was everything we could have hoped for in Barcelona!! There's a few specialty coffee shops here but nomad was by far our favorite. You can tell that the staff here takes pride in the quality of the drinks and are super knowledgeable! Above all, the coffee was delicious and a lovely addition to my favorite third wave coffee shops around the world.
google avatar

Priya A.

Yelp
Cute coffee place very close to our hotel. 5 stars for the Nicaragua el Bosque coffee which my hubby liked. I am not a big fan of coffee but this place seemed to be cool and had some good coffee options. You can also stop by Casa Lolea just around the corner for great tapas.
google avatar

Steph L.

Yelp
This coffee shop has a super cute, yet classy feeling. We sat at the bar drinking coffee for a good hour just talking and it was quite enjoyable. I'm honestly not a coffee person, but I was dying from jetlag so I decided to get an espresso. But they didn't have sugar! So the espresso tasted super bitter (as it should, but still). I guess they don't believe in sugar?! So I was basically switching between drinking my espresso and drinking water. But it's ok, I was wide awake all afternoon! Also, it seems that their cold brew (specifically in the bottle) is a popular item so we gave it a try. It was a bit bitter for me, but then again I'm biased.
google avatar

Victor K.

Yelp
The other reviews are spot on. This place takes coffee very seriously! Barrista grinds the beans when you place the order; in my case he chose Costa Rican. Top of their game; advised that they have Kenyan coffee coming in within the next 2 weeks. Get the comments on the lab atmosphere/feel. Cool vibe: big bench with customers on one side with tablets and laptops. Just for fun: ask for sugar.
google avatar

Lisa I.

Yelp
Nømad was the best coffee shop we went to in Barcelona, so much that we came back here twice. The cold brew from the flask is a neat concept, although I'm absolutely certain that the need to pay slightly more for just the bottle isn't necessary. The nitro cold brew is also great, and super foamy and filling. The cortado here is good, and I wish we had gotten a pour over here - at the time it was too hot to entertain a hot cup of coffee otherwise I would have done it. We loved here so much that we took home some beans for our Chemex at home - still just as delicious as when we had it in Barcelona.
google avatar

Dennis W.

Yelp
Intimate and passionate is how I would describe Nomad Coffee. Single origin (offering 12 to 15 beans) adds that much uniqueness to the experience. I liked this place so much, I came here 2 out of 3 days visiting. This place is tuckeed away near the Gothic Quarter. It's a very small shop seating about 10 people max. Decor is very simple and the equipment is very modern and clean. Staffs are all very friendly and show passion in their work. Drinks are made with precise measurement and taste notes are recorded in the process. All of the beans are unique in taste and all formats of coffee are offered here. This is a must visit for coffee lovers traveling through Barcelona.
google avatar

Faisal A.

Yelp
Great coffee and dope vibe. The customer service was above the norm for USA tourists so I appreciated that. This was close to arc triumph so we stopped by for a quick coffee boost. I would come again. PS seating is limited and they close pretty early.
google avatar

Clarice C.

Yelp
Nice little coffee shop in a picturesque area of Barcelona easily reachable by walking. The baristas are knowledgeable and friendly. They will let you taste the coffees they have for the day before you make your decision. We ordered both pour overs and espressos and they were all delicious, with the espressos being the stand-out. We even ended up buying two bags of beans from them.
google avatar

Megan K.

Yelp
Fairly over hyped. I'd heard about Nømad and went to try it one weekday morning. Not many people inside, it's a small place. I ordered an espresso, single origin from Costa Rica. It was flavourful and delicious. The coffee is excellent, better than other places (and miles ahead of the average coffee in every single restaurant) but it wasn't a wonderful amazing experience, hence 4/5 stars. (It's just not as good as Cafe el Magnífico) The atmosphere isn't too relaxing, I could hear my neighbors complaining, and it didn't seem to be a place where anyone could have a relaxing intimate conversation. But if you get the coffee to go, probably worth it.
google avatar

Nestor Z.

Yelp
Attending a conference in Barcelona this week, my wife and I were craving some good coffee and we found Nomand Cafe on Yelp! Great spot, literally while in the wall. Not visible from main street, worth the extra steps..coffee purists rejoice. Having them ground the beans and making a truly hand crafted espresso, drip coffee or cold brew is amazing. We have been here 2 times and will be back the remaining days of our trip. Extremely high quality coffee and customer service. Excelente café en Barcelona, muy alta calidad y sabor. Muy detallada la preparación y presentación.
google avatar

Damkee ..

Yelp
Surprisingly, we had hard time finding a place with a cup of great coffee in Spain. We were just sad that we came here on our last day, because both the coffee and the cafe are well put together. The latte here is tasteful, and there are beans ready to go. The alleyway where Nomad is located is great to walk across in the morning.
google avatar

Maud D.

Yelp
I don't drink coffee, but I couldn't resist trying a shot of espresso at this picturesque little coffee counter. Hidden in a gorgeous alleyway in El Born, Nomad would be easy to miss, but if you're looking for it, you shouldn't have too hard a time finding it. Ordering is super simple -- there are a couple of drip options, a couple of espresso options, nitro, and cold brew, and the flavor profiles are explained in english on the menu. The counter staff is cheery and bilingual, and it's a lovely little place to stop for a pick me up. It's super vibey and I could see how it could be intimidating for someone used to a cozier coffee shop feel, but once you approach the counter you'll see that everyone is friendly and you have nothing to fear, besides being over caffeinated, of course.
google avatar

Paris S.

Yelp
My favorite coffee shop that I've found in all of Spain! It's hidden down the cutest little alley/street. There are bar seats that you can snag to sip on your coffee. The baristas were so friendly and helpful. Highly highly highly recommend the flat white. Ended up taking two bags of coffee/espresso beans back to the states with me. I would have gotten more, if only I had the luggage space!
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop located on a pedestrian street in a hip area of central Barcelona (there are startups located all around it, haha). Huge points for their coffees, which are GREAT. Also big props for a nice crew and good prices. Points off for very little seating, no wifi, and only one type of food. This is strictly a grab-and-go coffee bar, don't plan to spend much time here.
google avatar

Marie U.

Yelp
As the typical English tourists, my boyfriend and I use Yelp to try and find the best of everything. Scouring the internet searching for the hidden gems around the city that are usually reserved for locals... This is certainly one of those hidden gems! Tucked away along a beautiful side street, you could easily walk past this little shop, but you'd be an idiot if you did. We visited on a particularly hot day so decided against a warm drink, but instead opted for a cold brew. Served with ice, the coffee had obviously been handled by experts as it was smooth, and roasted perfectly. The place isn't huge, so if it's busy you may have to get a cup to go, but it certainly is worth it. We did both, and bought a bottle of cold brew that we enjoyed later at our hotel. In my opinion, they've got it all right here. Beautiful, classic Spanish building, serving beautiful, classic coffee. What more could you ask for?
google avatar

Portia D.

Yelp
This is the BEST coffee shop in all of Barcelona! I stayed in Barcelona for a month trying out Satan's Coffee, Cafés El Magnífico, Bracafe and Federal Café but Nomad was by far the best. They roast their own beans and really put love into everything they serve you. Trust me you've found your coffee shop when going to Barcelona.
google avatar

Andrew O.

Yelp
Great to find good coffee in Barca. Only problem is the guy serving is very very serious. I was not allowed to put sugar in a cappuccino. Forbidden like a naughty ten year old and lectured that the coffee is so good it doesn't need sugar. The inference being that I must some knucklehead that knows nothing about coffee. When I said we were from Sydney his attitude changed. Everyone in Europe knew that Sydney has brained the Coffee world. Good coffee but not better than Single O or Paramount Coffee Project et al in Sydney.
google avatar

David E.

Yelp
Dropped in for a drink based on reviews but was completely ignored by staff while they chatted with friends the entire time. Waited 15 mins and still nothing, so I went to Satan's coffee instead where they actually know what customer service is. AVOID, unless you like pretentious, hipster-y type coffee shops where you wait 30 mins for a drink.
google avatar

Médard V.

Yelp
No doubt the best coffee in the city! It's a small hidden gem with a lot of coffee. Filter and espresso. The staff is very friendly.
google avatar

Susie Y.

Yelp
When I went to Spain, I visited this hidden coffee shop and the interior was so cute and chill. I loved the americano and I really wanted to try the nitro on draft but it was not available. Before I left I bought a bag of espresso beans because when would I come to Spain??
google avatar

Peter T.

Yelp
Average coffee, if you are searching for a perfect espresso Barcelona is the wrong city for you. Nice employees, avg coffee, they think it's great though.
google avatar

Tucker H.

Yelp
A coffee shop in the truest sense; nothing but coffee here, but the coffee is fantastic. They have a variety of coffee types available for everything from espresso to cappuccino to drip coffee, and they seem to do it all well. I only sampled the drip, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that they make it it in small batches, so you won't be getting coffee that has been sitting on the warmer getting burnt for an hour. The barista seemed to be making a mean cappuccino as well, but I didn't try one and can't directly vouch for it. At least for my drip coffee it was no more expensive than a Starbucks, and was MUCH higher quality. If you need a caffeine fix, Nomad is your place.
google avatar

Jamie K.

Yelp
I love coffee and I can't deny. actually a friend loved coffee and sought out one of the best coffee in Barcelona and this was it. The Ethiopian drip was light and a little bit on the sour side but a good sour. The Cortado was good and was a perfect ratio of milk and coffee. overall a great experience at the bar with the barista and also has a bathroom in the back. located in a cute alley way so don't miss this must try spot.

Irene S.

Yelp
If you want a quality coffee, Nomand is the place!! Good selection of various coffees, you can also purchase whole beans.
google avatar

Daniel C.

Yelp
The coffee shop that made me fall in love with coffee while studying abroad. The place is tucked away in an alleyway, and doesn't look too significant from faraway. It feels like you're in a modern coffee lab walking in with charts and posters on the wall. The quality of the coffee they serve here is amazing, while the staff can be a little pretentious, I didn't have any problems with them as they were happy to talk about their background and passion of coffee. If you don't know Catalan or Spanish, don't fret because the baristas can speak English.
google avatar

Allison G.

Yelp
I am always on the hunt for specialty coffee in a new city. Nomad was exactly what I was looking for. Their single origin espresso is delicious. No need for milk or sugar! Both of the baristas were extremely talented. We had a cortado and pour over that were both excellent.
google avatar

Kevin S.

Yelp
I love a great cup of coffee, and we seek out the best wherever we travel. The barista loved his craft, and took his time. Maybe it's because I was in Barcelona having the time of my life, but this was the best cup of coffee I've ever had. To demonstrate this, my wife, normally triple/triple, drank her cup black and loved it. It would've been sinful to add anything to the cup.
google avatar

Mesut C.

Yelp
Seems to be one of the few places that serves good (and thoughtful) coffee in barca. And lucky me they are also on the OFFF festival I went to. Cappuccino 2.- and cold brew 3.- not as pricey as Berlin yet.
