The Food World’s Greatest Bromance Ends in Divorce | Eater

"This collection of restaurants and bars from the same partnership remains slated for expansion overseas despite the ownership split, with plans for a London outpost (including a site inside a well-known London hotel) proceeding as planned. The brand is part of the partners' acclaimed portfolio and will likely continue under new ownership arrangements tied to the buyout." - Amanda Kludt

A big thanks to Kas - she was friendly, quick on her feet, and had a nice energy to her. The atmosphere and food was really nice, and expect to enjoy a slower pace when you arrive here. I wish there were power sockets, then it would be my go-to joint. Nice chai latte and the French toast is a must try.

wrote a review 1 contribution Date visited Jun 2025 Trip type Solo Yesterday Terrible I visited this establishment to try their food via the Too Good to Go app. What I should have received is : "...a surprise bag containing a wide selection of pastries, pastas, cakes, cakes, salads, sandwiches and baked goods that the store has leftover from that day." Instead, I received a very poor, small portion of pesto salad, with two slices of cucumber and a single cherry tomato. I abhor waste and use the Too Good to Go App occasionally, and usually with good results. I was not rescuing food on this occasion. What I received looked like the leftovers of someone else's meal. It's disgraceful that you are exploiting what is an ethical service and claiming money from it. The food I received went straight into the bin. Based on this, I will not be visiting this place again.

Avoid using too good to go. Claimed it was worth £12 but we got 2 boxes with a small amount of pesto pasta and plain salad in each. The other I time I came here was on Mother’s Day for pastries and I paid £8.40 for 1 croissant and 1 cinnamon roll that were both stale.

We were very unhappy with the value and quantity of the food. Service was friendly and the only thing that was nice was the tea we had. I would have taken a picture of the food we had. The chips were not fresh and the meat was not how asked for it. Salad you could just about see. I would not recommend this place. There are so many places that have great food and is value for money. Service again good

Very good baclava, moist which I've never known exists but I liked it a lot. Good falafel too. Quick service, place looks clean, spacious.

Google
Very friendly and kind staff. We had kebabs, a very recommended mint tea and Baklava. They have a good variety of Mediterranean dishes. The restaurant has an elegant look and clean finish. Definitely coming back again!

I made a takeaway order 24/3/2025. Order came tom£16 but was missing an item (rice). I let the intermediary (just eat) know who came back to me and said the restaurant said I got my items and that was that. Subsequently I've tried to contact the intermediary who've ignored me. The restaurant were otherwise okay. Food was pricey though. I would have expected it to wow me for the price and it definitely disappointed. I won't be coming back here.

We had the pleasure of dining at Nomad on Valentine’s Day, and it was truly a special experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with live jazz music playing in the background, creating the perfect ambiance for the evening. For starters, we tried the hummus and freshly baked bread, which was wonderfully creamy and paired perfectly with the warm, fluffy bread. It was the ideal way to begin our meal. For the main course, we ordered the meat platter, and it was absolutely delicious. The variety of meats, all perfectly cooked, was flavorful and satisfying—every bite was a treat! What really made the evening unforgettable, though, was the thoughtful touch from the staff. After dinner, they surprised us with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, which was such a sweet and unexpected gesture, especially on Valentine’s Day. The service was exceptional, and the combination of great food, live music, and the kind gestures made for a memorable evening. We can’t wait to return to Nomad for another wonderful dining experience!

Yelp
Perfect Blend Clapham (about halfway up Clapham Park Road) is wonderful too... crisp and apple-ish white wines from Argentina or New Zealand; an excellent roast chicken with mint risotto; and sound, nourishing burgers. It's reasonably priced, friendly and attentive, lovely for a romantic candlelit dinner or a hurried commuter coffee. Please open on weekday evenings again!!

Yelp
Mimosas and Daiquiris for two! I've dined with perfect blend for brunch in the past and wanted to give lunch a try. The classic club sandwich is definitely recommend, so good I forgot to take a photo. Waitress allowed me to substitute my fries for hand cut chips! Would definitely return.

Yelp
I had a bad experience today with one of the waitresses. When I said she should wear her face mask over her nose and not under, she asked if I were the mask police. She came back to my table and said "you should be nicer to people who serve you food" and then walked away, not giving me a chance to respond. I have made a complaint to the manager and won't be going back there again.

Yelp
Perfect Blend is a cafe/bar/restaurant ideally located opposite Streatham Hill Station. Serving up everything from full English breakfasts in the morning, ciabattas at lunchtime and gourmet dishes (mussels, roast lamb, even ostrich!) in the evening, Perfect Blend attracts a young, creative crowd as well as Streatham locals. As one of only two bars at this end of Streatham the cafe gets EXTREMELY busy at all times, even at breakfast so it is wise to book ahead to guarantee a table. The owner Bradley Ridge is also considered quite the heart throb in the local area so there is always a large contingent of hopeful females strategically placed at the bar. If you can get a table Perfect Blend is a lovely bar in a not so lovely area. Good for breakfast, lunch or dinner and even cocktails in the evening.

Yelp
Had a lovely straightforward full English breakfast. Not too expensive. The service was great & quick. It is very laid back so you can sit back and read the paper without being rushed to leave

Yelp
Perfect Blend makes perfect burgers with perfect beef. As I was chewing it felt like all the flavours melted onto my tongue. It was an unexpected luxury. I just ambled into this place because it looked cool from the outside. I didn't anticipate such a great level of deliciousness. The whole scrumptious experience cost £7. Perfect Blend is a café, a restaurant and a bar at night. It has three personalities that work well for the establishment. The food is good, the décor is warm and welcoming and the service is excellent. A big bonus about this place is that they sell 'I Love Streatham' t-shirts. I love Streatham too! My unhealthy obsession with Streatham is in keeping with the ethos of this place. It is a hidden gem.

Yelp
Interesting Menu with a range of food from Moules Frite to good olde Burger n Chips. All executed very very well at a very reasonable price. Great to come to in the evening for a meal with partner or friends. Does get v busy in here, especially on a Sat / Sun morning for the full english brekky hunters of Clarm. (The Fri-up is prob one of the best in the area). You can reserve a table which is a good idea at the weekends. Only downside is that pretty much every time I've eaten here it takes ages for the food to come out. Everyone wants to wait a while between courses but you may find your self bashing through the Vino Tinto more so than you planned as the evening stretches on. Deffo worth checking out, great food, very friendly staff and tasty, tasty munch that won't bust yo bank balance.

Yelp
We need more Perfect Blend's in Streatham Hill - although I doubt Brad, the owner of this great establishment, would agree. PB is unique in that it serves a purpose for every waking hour. Whether it's breakfast, a relaxing brunch / lunch, dinner or a late drink, PB ticks the box and is the venue of choice for cool Streathamites. The food is great throughout the day, and the evening menu which comes out for dinner is pretty unique for Streatham, but great and well executed. As for the Galloway burgers - tremendous and a must have. Due to the combination of great food, great atmosphere and a cool crowd, it can get very busy at times - hence the opening gambit that we need more PB's in Streatham Hill - but it is a testament to Brad and his team that this place remains so busy when cafes up and down the high street remain empty. Whenever I have friends visiting, or if catching up with local friends, we always go to PB and I have no qualms in recommending it to anyone. A word of advice though - if you plan on going in a big group, I'd phone ahead to avoid disappointment.

Yelp
Probably one of the only nice modern breakfast cafes around streatham hill. But prices are a tad high (6.25 for a smallish size English breakfast). Items were cooked well, but not any better than a local greasy spoon could have done. Coffee wise, they use Illy. But my capuccino was scalding hot, ruining any aroma or taste. Probably the best option in Streatham Hill but could be better. The London Insider Http://http://www.london-insider.co.uk

Yelp
I meet here every two weeks with a knitting group, and I'd have to say, it is at best, average. The service is generally quite friendly, although they can be quite inattentive, and have gotten the bill wrong on more than one occasion. That said, the place itself is clean and nicely presented, always busy, and the food looks great (although I've still personally to try any - it's a little pricey for what it is, IMHO)

Yelp
What is it? This is a stunning little place where during the day it is a sandwich, lunch stop selling everything from Panini's to jacket potatoes. Of an evening it becomes a mellow, relaxing bar with soft music and dim lights. Not for the loud and proud, this is more for the quiet yet fashionable clientele. Their food is freshly made on the premises and tastes great. They also provide buffet lunches for companies so great if you want to impress the boss! Customer Service? Their service is very personal and they have the same staff that are on day duty usually on evening duty too. They must be tired! Because their food is freshly made it does take a while to get to you. Sometimes I go here for lunch and have to wait 3 minutes for a toasted tuna and mozzarella Panini! Price? Considering the sophistication of the shop, the prices are really cheap. The sandwiches, bagels etc are all under £3 for 3 fillings which considering they are all fresh is brilliant. However of an evening their alcoholic drinks are quite pricey so in my opinion this is better for a lunch stop.

Yelp
This place is literally a perfect blend... of something and nothing. I have had a great steak here, ordered the very same the following week and found it pretty much inedible. Breakfasts have always been pretty good but once I took my parents and my mother was served raw sausages and uncooked eggs which was revolting. The service (as you can see from all reviews) is unbelievably slow. I have sat with my family for 30 mins before even getting a menu or a drinks order being taken. I have wandered in on a weekend and taken one of the large sofas with a newspaper, read the entire thing and then walked out without being asked what I would like. Because of this I avoid at all times you might think somewhere will be busy. It's alright on a Monday or Tuesday night though and they serve a top notch pint of ice cold draught lager in the summer. I've always found the staff here a bit snooty and the few stools at the tiny bar area seem reserved for the bartenders mates in the evenings. The guy they have working on the door in the evenings is definitely the friendliest bouncer I've ever seen in my life though!

Yelp
This place does AWESOME coffee. Seriously. All the drinks are delicious and the whole day food menu is always cooked to a high standard. I'd have given it 5 stars but the service could be just a little more attentive!

Yelp
Cosy cafe which serves coffee and a selection of food. Prices are a little high, but not overly so. Good breakfasts and coffee though service can be a little hit or miss. However, it is usually very busy which may have something to do with it. Our go-to cafe in Streatham, and probably one of the best on the high street.

Yelp
I went for a celebratory breakfast with my friend one Saturday morning and the breakfast menu was really good and the atmosphere was lively for 11am! Probably one one of the best eggs royal I've had in a while. There approach to service was a little more laid back than normal, although we didn't mind as we weren't in a rush to go anywhere. My only comments would be is that the toilets are not very nice and the tables are very close together therefore its hard to more and those sat next to you can hear the majority of your conversation.

Yelp
This is a nice place, especially for this location. It's a particularly great spot for weekend brunch: you can choose from full English, smoked egg and salmon; eggs Benedict - that type of thing. It's always very crowded at weekends, with a big wait for a table, and sometimes you feel a bit rushed to get out of the way for the next person. But I guess that's the peril of being one of only a few decent cafes inStreatham. It's very popular with families. They do lovely coffees.
google avatar

Qype User (jonale…)

Yelp
I can't say much about the food here as the cafe was pretty full when I visited, which must say something. I had coffee al fresco on a sunny afternoon which was very good I have to say. I did hear other customers complaining about the slow service generally, and it took quite a while for the staff to realise I was waiting to be served... but they were friendly enough. I shall try the cafe again if I have time to kill and fancy watching local life on Streatham High Road.

Yelp
Pleasant and trendy if you want to go grab a coffee...but it won't be a quick one! They are great to welcome you and take your order timely. However if you want to order something else or want to grab the bill then be prepared to wait an unnecessary length of time.
google avatar

Bekah M.

Yelp
It's one of the nicer places in Streatham Hill but the service is particularly slow. My housemates and I go for breakfast a lot because the food is really good (I recommend the pancakes!) but we always take cash and leave exact change so we don't have to wait around for them to come and collect the bill. It takes them long enough to bring it in the first place! Also, some of their staff don't seem to know what a latte is.

Yelp
The best place to go in Streatham, no real competition, good cafe in the day, good restaurant and bar in the evening. We used to go there all the time, now moved out of the manor. Don't miss the area but miss Perfect Blend!

Yelp
Eggs benedict with smoked salmon on the side, extra buttery, brown toast on the side and a wonderful cappuccino - all on a Saturday morning! What more can I say...Mmmm! I was invited here once by a friend and any time I'm in the hood I pop in for a bite or a beer in the evening. The lunches are great but it also has a good bar for sitting at, and getting smashed. I had one such session with my bruv on his birthday one time and the young barman looked after us very well... ...but I was a bit miffed when he continually up-sold us onto the single malts. I like single malt, but he was over-selling...that was a turn off. We had had a meal at the bar and were on wine and beer...so had a sore head the next day! Ouch !

Qype User (jjinsw…)

Yelp
Nice ambience, friendly staff (not too friendly to our liking), very good food and both adventurous and classic items on the menu. Enjoyed very much

Qype User (mitch…)

Yelp
Now this place is definately worth a visit, well presented and efficient staff, food is good and great choice!

Yelp
Very disappointing. A very local friend recommended this place for lunch. Seating fine. Two of our choices were off and an alternative dish had also ran out. Not a good start. And the food was unbelievably poor. The chicken burger was burnt (which at least gave it some taste); the pasta dish - tagliatelli with cheese and strips of tomato, srved with over-cooked spinach - was tasteless; the portobello mushroom burger was served in toasted square slices of bread (but at least was edible); the baked potato was joke - meagre supply of cheese on the spud, accompanied by salad with no dressing (when we asked for some, we were served something very like oyster sauce !). The common feature in all this was the lack of herbs, spices, garlic, etc., to make the food tasty. Foolishly, we ate it - as a guest, I felt I should - and we were hungry. The drinks - belgian beer and mineral water - were fine. At the end the complaint of the one who was paying was met with indifference and a 'its not usual that we get complaints'. Not good enough. We may have been unlucky: the regular chef(s) may have been away.
