This restaurant has a great atmosphere with awesome food. Went there with my Girlfriend and were both fully satisfied. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for Tibetan food with some Nepalese magic. Food was cooked right; couldn't ask for a better place to miss home. I would recommend at least one visit for you to determine how good this place is.

Google
A really wonderful dining experience. The service was very friendly, and the food was delicious. We ordered the beef curry, broad noodle soup, and pork & veggie momos. The curry and the pork momos were fantastic, and we added a bit of chili sauce to kick up the noodles. Would definitely recommend stopping by.

As a Tibetan cuisine newbie, I was blown away. We savored the spicy chicken gya-thuk, beef momo, and the outstanding lamb shank. The Tibetan black tea was a unique delight. The lamb shank stole the show with its tender meat, luscious sauce, and intriguing accompaniments. Nomad offers a journey of tastes and textures that's truly unforgettable. Can't wait to return for more!

Tibetan food hasn’t gone mainstream in the US, and it’s really a shame. I recommend coming here with 2 or more, so that you can order more (I guess if you want to pig out by yourself that’s cool too). We had Ting-mo, Shabhaley, Shambala curry, Momos, and Pan-fried Basa fish. The Ting-mo is most similar to Chinese mantou, but they’re braided beautifully (see picture). The Shabhaley is like a cross between an empanada and a Chinese dumpling. It’s a special menu item that is often recommended and for good reason. It’s perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The Momos can be ordered in a combination so that you can try more than 1 type of Momo in a batch of 8. Like the Shabhaley, they’re oh so juicy on the inside. The Pan-fried Basa fish is served on a hot plate and drizzled with a sweet and sour sauce, some greens, and lots of garlic. To say it was a flavor explosion would be an understatement.

So, I am giving Nomad 3 while reserving the right to post a better review later. The photos I took of the take out food we received was NOT WHAT WE ORDERED!. Our food was evidently delivered to someone else (Daniel, whomever you are I hope you liked our choices) by mistake. Nomad does not have outside dining, so we decided to order curbside delivery and eat in our back yard. Anyway, the beef momos and whatever was in the broth was okay, but not the rest. We did eventually have our actual order remade and delivered to our home an hour and a half later (by then I was too cold to take pictures again). But everything we actually ordered tasted delicious (or I was tired). So, I will try Nomad once again, on my new Solano Avenue Restaurant Test (eventually), but for now I reserve judgement.

Nice tibetan spots with good numbers of tibetan food in the menu. We tried shabhaley, momo and shapta. Flavors were right on point . I will go back again

Google
Such a nice place! The veg thantuk is tasty, and very big. Veg momos are tasty too. The steamed buns are very authentic. Keep in mind that Tibetan food is pretty simple and bland compared to Indian food. Best of all is that the cook, who is probably the owner as well, comes out, talks , cares, and she is so lovely! Great atmosphere and service, good prices too!

The meals here are always hearty and delicious. Today, I got their veggie soup with noodles. It's always fresh and hot!

Yelp
4.5 stars Nomad Tibetan is a friendly neighborhood restaurant serving Tibetan food, which has influences from Chinese, Nepalese, and Indian cuisines. Dumplings and noodles abounded on the menu, and we started with the Mo-Thuk, a hearty chicken soup containing tomatoes, greens, and beef dumplings. We also had the Chicken Momos and the Sho-Kho Momos, or steamed dumplings with a thick, chewy skin, one filled with spicy minced chicken, the other filled with spiced mashed potatoes. The momos were served with a mild tomato sauce and a spicy chili sauce on the side, but the fillings of the dumplings were already so flavorful all on their own! For our entrees, we had the Pan-Fried Basa Fish, a fillet served with a brown butter sauce, sautéed kale, and two crispy taro cakes. The "show-stopper" dish was the Lamb Shank, a super tender braised shank served with a French-tasting sauce made of red wine, tomatoes, carrots, and onions. My favorite dish was the Fish Curry, a savory, tangy red curry with chunks of salmon, zucchini, carrots, and onion. The curry went nicely with a side order of Ting-Mo, or hand-rolled, braided, freshly-steamed breads with a super chewy texture. Overall, this was a super friendly restaurant with tasty food, a cozy, local atmosphere, and great value prices!

Yelp
This was my first experience with Tibetan food-- everything was so delicious and comforting. The server was very attentive and happy to answer any questions about the menu. Our party had a mix of meat-eaters / pescatarian / vegetarians, and we were able to find dishes for all of us to enjoy. Must try: The Momo dumplings. Everyone also enjoyed the Tibetan buttered tea (or, for alchohol drinkers, the Hot Buttered Sake). Very unique flavor but so comforting on a cold and rainy night.

Yelp
Oh my! Dropped in on a random Friday night and we got seated right away. We requested the larger gathering table in the back so it was a nice private and authentic feel. The staff was quick to assist and friendly. Our waiter constantly checked in on us which I appreciated. We tried a few items from the menu and everything was packed with delicious flavors and spices and was cooked perfectly. Everything was too good that I forgot to get a photo of the chicken and veggie momos with their special hot sauce on the side and WOW! Loved everything we ordered. Can't wait to go back to explore the menu more. Loved trying a new cuisine!

Yelp
Always my go to place when I visit the area. Their momos are the best I've ever had. The staff is friendly and business is family owned. Great vibes as well.

Yelp
My Mom's on a mission to try all of the restaurants on Solano Avenue. I wanted to take her out to dinner and Nomad Tibetan Restaurant was one of the restaurants we both had never been to. It was my first time trying Tibetan food and both of us had a filling experience. Nomad is a well-sized establishment with ample wooden tables for diners. It's a popular spot for families or pairs of two as it's quiet, clean, and has traditional and beautiful Tibetan decor and art around the restaurant. I found the service by the wait staff to be more than efficient. We sat immediately, orders were placed when we were ready, and food came out relatively fast. The service isn't chit-chatty as the main interactions are ordering, receiving, and paying for your food. The restaurant is a perfect neighborhood spot to experience authentic Tibetan cuisine. They pride themselves on traditional Tibetan food with a twist. Flavors and offerings are special but also a fusion of Nepalese, Indian, and Chinese dishes. They serve vegetarian and meat options ranging from appetizers, specials, entrees, noodles, and momos! I of course wanted to try something new and unique. Since it was a colder day, I chose their Thaen-Thuk with Chicken as my protein. The dish came with noodles, vegetables, and chicken. I found the broth to be warm, nourishing, and lightly salted. The noodles were flat and cut into small pieces--the texture and taste reminded me of udon. Everything was fresh and the portion is perfect for a family but massive for one! My Mom got their Shabhaley which is best eaten with your hands. She enjoyed it and said it was dense, savory, and filling like a hamburger. If you're looking for a unique, tasteful, and homey dining experience in Albany or Berkeley then check out Nomad! The restaurant is hidden and unassuming, but it can be found next to Barney's with street and residential parking. The food is comforting, portions are generous, and service is speedy. I'm glad I got to try a new restaurant and wouldn't mind coming back--next time I'd try something different.

Nav R.

Yelp
Went to this place on a whim, very friendly staff. The food overall was pretty good. We got the vegetarian noodles, the tofu stir fry dish, and the veggie momos. I wish the food was spicier, as I found the stir fry dish a little bland. The momos were the best part. I would rate this place a 3.5, will round up to 4 given the staff were very accommodating and it was close to their closing time when we started eating.

Yelp
Have been here a few times and also ordered delivery once! Everything I've gotten has always been good and service is great when I eat there :) it's family owned and they are so friendly and kind! Favorites: Shabhaley, Any of the momos, Ngoe-Thuk noodles Wish I had photos of the food I've eaten from here but we eat it so fast we always forget to take pictures

Yelp
**4.5 stars rounded up to 5 stars** I've never had Tibetan food before so I was excited to try this place in Berkeley! The food was great and the sauces they had on the side made it even better. I'm definitely looking forward to having more Tibetan food in the future. Shabhaley: This is deep fried dough stuffed with beef, red onion, celery, and scallion -- what's not to like about it?? I learned the best way to eat this is with your hands instead of cutting it so that you don't lose all the flavorful juices. It also pairs so well with the sauces that they provide. Combo Momo: We tried the beef momo and sho-ko momo (potatoes, red & green onion). The skin was thin and the fillings were super flavorful. If you like dumplings, you'll definitely enjoy these! Shambala Curry w/ Lamb: Compared to Japanese and Indian curries, this one was much sweeter. I thought the lamb was a bit on the tougher side, but I enjoyed all the additional vegetables in it. Since this curry is pretty soup-y, it goes really well with rice. Tibetan Tea: We got these on the house, which was really nice of them. It's a tea prepared with milk, salt, and butter, which is pretty unique. I thought the tea a bit too salty for me, but I'm glad I got to try it!

Andree C.

Yelp
The food here incredible! We had the vegetarian and the potato dumplings and the shambala curry. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. This food is high frequency- I felt elevated and even healthier after eating it! The hot sauce was also perfection. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was lovely and had a peaceful energy. If we lived in Berkeley we would be here frequently.

Yelp
I ordered delivery from here and got a shambala vegetarian curry and young tofu. Apologies that my photos are not good quality this time. Shambala vegetarian curry: I tried this mainly because I was curious if it the shambala part of the name referred to a place or if it was actually a specific style of preparation for curry. It does taste very much like red curry with tofu that you might get at most places and is more liquid rather than solid than sick and solid (aside from the vegetables in it), so a good choice if you like that. They also have the same dish but for meat eaters on the menu. Young tofu: It's an appetizer, but if you're the type to eat small portions, it might even work as a cheap light entree. It's got a nice savory sauce with various vegetables such as bell peppers. Be careful that it can spill from the takeout container if you're not careful and tip it (you can see that happening a bit in my picture). Overall, the food was good and they have some other vegetarian dishes I'm interested in trying like a taro dish, so I'll be making a note to come back.

Yelp
Nomad is a delicious place and if you haven't tried Tibetan food, this will make you wonder what you were missing. The service is friendly and nice and the food came out quick. The interior is homey and fun. It's casual but welcoming. While this spot is slightly out of the way for us, we go out of our way to come here because we love their momos! In fact one time I tried another momo spot since I was craving nomad but it did not satisfy, so I won't make that mistake and will come here. :) We've tried several items on there menu and we haven't had a bad dish. Some of our favs include the pan fried basa, fish curry, fried rice, and fried chicken momos. The sauce served with the momos are so good! This place is equal parts comforting and also fun considering many dishes aren't something you see all the time. 4.5 stars

Betty B.

Yelp
Loved everything about this place. Sorry to hear it's closing. The dishes were absolutely delicious. Service was excellent.

Ashish D.

Yelp
Beautiful little restaurant in the Berkeley Hills. Lovely decor and very friendly and helpful service. The food was really delicious, especially their veg momos. We'll be going back there next time we're in the neighborhood.

Holly B.

Yelp
As I am eating my (plentiful) leftovers from yesterday I said to these words verbatim " If I move from the bay, I will miss this restaurant for the rest of my life." If you have the opportunity to try their food--don't play yourself and miss it. Thank you for eternity, Nomad.

Larry M.

Yelp
I've lived in Berkeley for years and Nomad is probably my favorite restaurant. The food is incredible and so comforting, and the owners are kind and attentive. You will not regret visiting!

Yelp
VEGAN REVIEW: Over the course of COVID quarantine, I have tried a couple dishes from Nomad and overall am very pleased! I would definitely recommend this little eatery. Their dishes are fresh and tasty! They have a fair number vegan dishes, and the people who work here know what is vegan and what is not. Their menu marks the vegetarian items which makes things a little bit easier, but make sure to ask about what is vegan and what is not. Veg Ngoe Thuk Noodles (stir-fried noodles): Sort of like Chow Mein. I wish they used broccoli in it too, but it was good. The noodles are egg-free and chewy. Veg Fried Rice without egg: The flavor is good (yes, even without the egg). I probably wouldn't order this over the noodle dishes but I wouldn't be mad if someone gave me this! Thaen-Thuk Noodles (hand-pulled noodles): These noodles looked different than I thought they would. They were not pulled, per se, but they were more like chunks. The broth they came in was lite and delicious. This is a perfect comfort food dish! Of the three rice/noodle dishes, I think this was my favorite! Veg Momo: Yum, yum! How could you go wrong with dumplings? I liked these a lot and they came with a dipping sauce that was also yummy. There was a lot dough vs filling but I didn't mind. Sho Kho Momo: I liked this momo better than the veg one, but both are really good. I just liked the unique flavor of the curried potatoes! Eggplant Basil: This eggplant dish was really tasty. I was not expecting the sauce to be quite as sweet as it was but even so, it was good. Similar to a Thai eggplant basil dish but a tad more tangy and sweet. Ok, so that's more than a couple dishes, but I'm doing my part to keep these small businesses open, haha. Note: Taro Happiness is not vegan as it contains egg as a binder for the taro bowl. *cries to self*

Yelp
I have been trying a lot of different restaurants on Solano Ave and came upon this restaurant that offers Tibetan cuisine. I have never tried Tibetan cuisine and I would say that this place is such a gem. We ordered three dishes, the spicy chicken gya-thuk, a plate of the beef momo, and the lamb shank, and had Tibetan style black tea as well. The Tibetan style tea was unlike most if any tea I've had, as they add milk, butter, and salt to it, so it was a unique, savory, rich tea. The Gya-thuk was only a little spicy with some peppercorn for a little mala-like taste. The beef momo reminded me of a mix between dumplings and bao, as the skin is quite thick. The sauce it comes with is really good and the filling is tasty too. My favorite dish of the night had to be the lamb shank. It is cooked so tender that the meat falls right off the bone. There's a great red sauce that is poured over it and it is paired with what kind of reminded me of potato leaves (but I am not sure) and it is a great combo. I definitely recommend checking out this restaurant if you have never tried Tibetan food before!

Marva H.

Yelp
This is the first time I tried Tibetan food and I was not disappointed. Their chicken momos were SO delicious. The service was outstanding as well. They opened at 12 pm but still took our order around 11:30 and our food was ready for pickup right when we arrived at 12. Their tea was spectacular too. I ordered their basil chicken as well and it was delicious! It was such a pleasure to have been able to try Tibetan food and their service was just a cherry on top of this wonderful experience. I definitely recommend coming here!

Eli W.

Yelp
Can't wait to explore more of the menu! I really wanted momos and beer before a party, and Nomad did not disappoint. Very good veggie and pork momos and shabhaley with lovely service and ambience.

Aviva C.

Yelp
BEST TIBETAN FOOD IN THE BAY AREA!!! Tibetan food is so delicious and unique!!! Never tasted anything like it. The food is so delicious and flavorful, definitely recommend the taro bowl, shambala curry, momos, and the noodles. Simply divine & fabulous vegetarian options!!!

Yelp
Always a great experience. Love the momos and the thaen tuk. The sweet ginger tea was great too.

Rohmer E.

Yelp
We came on a Sunday, brunch time and while the place nextdoor was packed Nomad was empty. However that is not a reflection of the food! Everything I've tried here is delicious. To simplify, it's like a mix of Indian and Chinese flavors, similar to Nepal but more on the Chinese side. I'm vegan and they have plenty of items for us. The momos are bigger than the Nepali variety and the potato one you must try. The other one was good, but the potato shined. My family who eats meat was very impressed with the Lamb shank, the chicken momos, and the kids loved the noodle dish. I've had several items and all were awesome. I just read that the Taro Happiness bowl (bowl made of Taro!) is not vegan so watch out for that. Maybe the restaurant can confirm if that is true. The Taro bowl comes filled with asian style stir fry but IMO would go better with Shambala curry. The Tsey Tofu is also recommended. Definitely high quality, fresh, and nice place to dine in. Momos are a must try, and try to get some of the more adventurous dishes because that's where they shine.

Providence F.

Yelp
The lamb shank is the best as well as the momos, great people and great food, thank you Nomad

Kamala T.

Yelp
Today me and my friends visit this place, first time it's very nice Tibetan restaurant but food are not like what we expect, food test just like Chinese food, service was ok, nice polite, but food is too much oily , unhealthy

Ski D.

Yelp
Best Tibetan food in town! Friendly service. Good eats. We recommend the momos and curry dishes.

Tu-Quyen P.

Yelp
Never had Tibetan food before so was excited to try this through GrubHub delivery. I loved every single dish! Had the hand pulled noodles with lamb Thaen Thuk, Ting Mo steamed buns, Poached Salmon and a beef and pork momo (dumplings).

Michael N.

Yelp
I love all the food here. They serve Tibetan food right! I eat the gyuma and shaphaley often here.

Andy F.

Yelp
My gf is Tibetan and so we made a special trip to visit Nomad. We can both attest that the food is fresh, authentic and delicious. We tried a variety of dishes off the menu and immediately we could tell the difference in quality. The fresh ingredients and the care of the dishes made the difference. She's vegetarian, and fortunately there's lots of vegan/vegetarian options. On her advice, I tried a meat dish too: Laphing: our favorite. It's a traditional almost gelatin-like noodle dish. Served with an amazing chili sauce, not too spicy but really deep flavor. Vegetarian Momos: some places will use frozen vegetables, but you can tell these were made fresh. They're served with this great Momo Sauce, that's a little spicy with a tomato base. Shabhaley: a traditional Tibetan meat pie stuffed w/ veggies. Good quality chunks of meat and fresh veggies. Reminded me of almost an empanada. The dough holds in the juices and even reheating it in the oven, the meat did not dry out. After having tried a lot of Tibetan food (homemade and restaurants). This ranks as some of the best.

Hank F.

Yelp
I have tried several Nepalese/Tibetan restaurants in the area and Nomad is the clear winner! Their momos are by far the best, their sauteed garlic kale is scrumptious, and their sweet ginger tea is simply delicious. I also love their iron plate cooked salmon, their amazing fried rice, and their fryed taro cakes. Everything is not only excellent, but served to you by wonderfully sweet people who really care. Bravo!

Frank T.

Yelp
I came here because of the article in the chronicle. We had the Kale salad which was great. The house white wines were good. The Momo's were packed with the standard dumpling filling but a larger portion. They were okay. Almost no juice inside which I was looking for. The shabhayey(sp?) was okay. Nice portion size. Just not a lot of flavor. I'm not sure we will drive the 18 miles one way to try more of the menu. Service was good and the staff were very friendly.

Zenden N.

Yelp
I cannot say enough about how amazing the Tibetan food at Nomad is! It takes me back home to Sunday lunches where my Amala would make the most amazing momos and shaapta. The food here is unbelievably good and their service is just fantastic! Must try the gyathuk, beef momos, beef shaapta , shaphale and ting mo! Cannot wait to visit again!

Juan T.

Yelp
So on my quest to eat every possible ethnic food I can find. I realized that I have never been to a Tibetan restaurant. In done the Indian/Nepalese thing many times, I noticed there is also a Nepalese/Tiberian place near here. However this place is an actual Tiberian restaurant and that's a new one for me. The first thing my fiance and I tried was the Tiberian tea. It's made with salt and butter and milk. It's like nothing else I have ever tried, I quickly developed a taste for it. We also had the fried taro cake which was also really tasty. On the table is a very interesting hot sauce that has an excellent flavor as well. The Shambala Curry had a sweet and tangy tomatoey flavor that was addictive, I ate too much of it. The hand pulled noodles were also really good and would be perfect for a cold day when someone isn't feeling well. This place may easily become one of our favorite restaurants.

Frankie T.

Yelp
Nomad Tibetan Restaurant is incredible! We were a group of 3 and had the amazing fortune to ring in the new year with a feast from this restaurant. Honestly, we simply couldn't have had a better meal. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly and the food is beyond delicious. My recommendations: Laphing Ting-Mo Sho-Kho Momo Veg. Momo Bok Choy Sweat Ginger Tea Nigori Sake We will definitely be returning as it is our new favorite restaurant. Thank you Nomad Tibetan Restaurant!

Deepa R.

Yelp
This place is great! We were there for lunch on the weekend because I had a hankering for momos. They have lots of options for vegetarians so we were really happy! We ordered the chili tofu, veg fried rice, veg Mimi's and potatoes momos. The chili tofu was so yummy! Lovely spicy sauce, tofu and lots of veggies! Delicious! The fried rice was awesome too-loves the slightly smoky flavor from the wok! The momos are also awesome--they are huge and you get 8 per order! Everything was wonderful and tasty...portion sizes are huge...and we had lots of leftovers! We will definitely be back!

tenzin c.

Yelp
Great Tibetan food! Love their chowmein, momo, shapta, and tingmo. These are my go to food, but I have also enjoyed their other food!

Bella K.

Yelp
the best tibetan restaurant in california, this place is so far from me but my partner and i always come here. the momo's are the best i've ever had, the hand pulled noodles & thai tea are my favs!! the quality is amazing & it never disappoints. idek what's in the heavenly delicious food but it's always 10/10. the food is simple but delish! my absolute fav place, their restaurant is so cute and beautiful to look at. the staff is great too. definitely check this place out!

Christine G.

Yelp
Eating at Nomad is like a peaceful and rejuvenating treat, for body, mind, and soul. We have eaten here numerous times. In fact, we have gone twice in just one week. Do not hesitate to go if you want homemade, from scratch food. I'm serious. They make everything from scratch including an amazing mango lassi. The best I've ever tasted. There are many choices for Tibetan cuisine in the area, I wouldn't bother checking out any other restaurant. This is the place. You will be warmly greeted at the door, and treated like an old friend coming back from a long journey. Bring a bag to carry out their homemade momo chili sauce. It's amazing.

Aavash S.

Yelp
Walked in to this authentic Tibetan restaurant on my birthday with two other friends . Due to covid, there was no outdoor seating neither indoor as well. However we got a seat all the way nearby the window since there was no one inside the restaurant so it was totally safe. So I guess there was only one person who was doing the work of manager, chef and food runner due to limited staff again of Covid I guess. So we started with three orders of different types of dumplings chicken, Beef and fried pork. The dumplings are different than the nepalese dumplings that you can get in the restaurant so don't expect Similar taste. The fried rice was delicious but it was company different then you can get in any Asians restaurants. So if you're not used to with the Tibetan taste Can you can explore this restaurant. However, if you don't like south Asian cuisine then don't expect anything from this restaurant as well. It is not a fusion of American Tibetan cuisine .

David L.

Yelp
Food - 4.5 Service - 5 Value - 4 If I were base the 4.5 food rating solely on the Momos and Sauteed Kale, I'd rate the food as 5-star experience -- but the other dishes we got (Gya-Thuk), Basil Chicken and Shaptak (beef) were more of a 4-star quality due to the flavors being too bold and overpowering for our tastes. It is quite possible that this is how Tibetan food is supposed to be. We also did not realize how spicy Tibetan food is, and even when we ordered it with zero spice-level the dishes were still somewhat spicy (more of a mild spice-level). It is certainly worth coming here, and I'd recommend going with Beef Momos and Sauteed Kale for the entire meal! It's also fun to eat at a place where every few minutes in my mind I had the "I am Nomad. I am perfect." line from Star Trek replaying.

Yelp
Every time I dine at Nomad, there's a moment I look around and remember how special this place felt the first time I walked in. There is something so elegantly and confidently Tibetan about it, an aesthetic I've never seen at any other Tibetan restaurant in North America or the parts of Europe I've been to. Speaking as a Tibetan, it's a place I step into and feel like someone is just behind one of the handmade windows, ready to show me Tibet itself. Many cultures have a dumpling; the Tibetans have the momo. Sadly, many offerings of it fall short. One of the necessary elements is broth, that juice you have to catch in your mouth with a sucking motion at first bite. It must be flavored well of course, and no momo is complete without proper hot sauce options. Nomad is excellent in its offerings here. I will also add, I'm very impressed by their vegan momo options. The shoko momo is simple and perfect, and the tsey momo is a delight to chew (in contrast to the buttery softness of the potato in the shoko momo). I also love their mo-thuk, a soup that comes with a generous amount of beef momo, and the gya thuk, a Chinese style spicy noodle soup. There are several other dishes I've tried and liked, but I admit to being partial to these ones I've mentioned. I'm looking forward to seeing them grow and expand their culinary experimentation. The owners are down to earth and professional, and I enjoy the pace and energy of the restaurant. Also, the window display is adorable!

Passang T.

Yelp
My go to Tibetan restaurant to get momos for both steamed and deep fried and gyuma. I introduced my boyfriend to Tibetan fried blood sausage and he enjoys it a lot. I personally love the tingmo (steamed bun) super soft with shaptak extra spicy for my liking and gyuma(sausage). You gotta try it. Tibetan momos are So much tastier and better than any other dumplings or potstickers out there.

Gin C.

Yelp
This is fushion Tibetan as some of the dishes have changed due to limited ingredients and location, however the food was excellent! It came around $50 including tips for 2 people with some left over. We ordered a variety of items and all of them are great. I highly suggest this place and there are parking along the street.

Yelp
So here is the problem. This just isn't the kind of food I like. I would have never chosen it in the first place - but it was my mother in law's birthday so she gets to pick. Personally I would never go back, but the rest of my family that ate with me probably would. My brother in law was pretty much over the moon. I almost feel that I shouldn't leave a review for restaurants like this, but here we go... this a review for people who are very VERY picky about their Chinese/almost Chinese food. Per usual, it's just too oily for me. I got the Thaen-Thuck noodles with lamb, which was pretty much like a soup - which is what I was hopping for. The broth was good. The lamb was normal. And the noodles were like pieces of wanton wrapper (which is how they are supposed to be) - but just really not what I like. Too doughy, very little actual flavor. I only ate the broth and the noodles. I tried the veggie eggplant dish and they veggies were very well cooked and very oily. Also tried to vegetable and potato MoMo. Not overwhelmingly flavorful (but I never think that dumplings are) The potato was better than the veggie. The ginger tea was good! Very creamy and well spiced. And they were nice enough to give it to me without sweetener when I asked. It wasn't busy at 7pm on a Saturday night. Very reasonably priced. I think this restaurant made the kind of food that they were intending too and did it like they were intending to do it - it's just not my thing. So if you are into Tibetan/Chinese food - I'd totally give it a go.

Yelp
I sometimes dream about those momos. Try them all. The potato version is amazing. Please support this amazing gem of a restaurant!

Yelp
I ordered food from here. The momos were burnt and were super dry. Food had a weird smell. Do not order from here

Yelp
It amazes me that every time I pass this place it seems like it is never busy. My friend was visiting Berkeley and she wanted to try a cuisine that she never had before and I recommended this place. Never been before, but I always pass by and wanted to give this place a try. Highly recommend and so glad I gave this place a try! Walking in the service was quick and we got seated really quickly. The staff there was really nice and even though there were only two people working; the service was excellent and top notch (10/10). It was our first time and they didn't mind recommending foods to new comers like us. Even though we were asking a lot of questions, they didn't mind answering all the questions we had which was amazing. This place is also pretty big where it could fit maybe 50 people and the bathrooms are easy to locate too. So I highly recommend this place if you are maybe hosting an event because it can really fit a lot of people. I also like how the place is decorated where I feel like it shows the tibetan culture. We ended up ordering: -Gyuma : It's a tibetan sausage that at first glance looks strange, but when you taste it . . . DELICIOUS! Highly HIGHLY recommend especially when you add the chili paste sauce they provide -Lhasey Hotpot : We got the choice of Basa (type of catfish) or Salmon and we chose the Basa. It comes in a small hotpot making it really cute looking. The broth that it came with was really delicious where it had all the flavors from the ingredients come together. [The waiter also recommended we try this bread dish to dip into the hot pot and so glad she did recommend that because it tasted delicious] -Potato Momo : I've had momos but what made this momo really good was that it tasted fresh and like it was just made. The potatoes tasted really good in this momo dish. If I could come again and try the other momos I totally would! In the end service here was 10/10 and the food was bomb that I would come again maybe next week or when I have time!

Yelp
This place is so cozy and delicious! I love coming here! They have both great vegan/vegetarian options and meat/fish dishes. The mo-mos are amazing, anything with eggplant or taro as well, curry's are great. We haven't had a bad dish yet. The hostess that is always there is also so friendly and polite, adding to the coziness of the place.
