"This 16th-century church refectory turned subterranean bar-restaurant in Brera is your spot for aperitivo. Tables and a few bar seats fill up quickly in the moody cavernous space, and at sunset, the chic after-work crowd sits on the street, glasses in hand. Downstairs, groups of friends order salumi boards and lots of bottles, their voices traveling across the tall vaulted ceiling and bouncing off thousands of for-sale reds, whites, and bubbles that line the walls. Skip the food and go straight for the mixed salumi board and cheese plate. " - elizabeth de filippo jones

I really loved the atmosphere of this place. Everyone is hanging out in front of the restaurant with a glass of wine, chatting and enjoying themselves; and the crowd is great. The restaurant uses high; quality drinks, and I’ll definitely come back every time I visit Milan!

What a lovely place to spend a cold winter evening! Me and my friend enjoyed this place so much. We ordered a bottle of wine and a cheese board which was very good. And my friend loved the peeled almonds I took a pic just to see if I can find it somewhere else :))

One of my absolute favorite spots in Milano! The wine selection is great and there’s non-alcohol option too! Amazing atmosphere and great place to have friends and chat. Live music was going on too! Miss this place sm

This place is a good choice for a date, a special celebration or even for casual night out. You can sit outside or go downstairs which has more warmness and a special athmosphere. They have plenty wine options and the waiter helped us pick by letting us taste some of them. They give olives and almonds as side which were very tasty. We didn’t order but their dishes looked delicious as well. A little pricy but worth it.

One of the greatest places on Earth. The basement has a whole vibe. Post-up, grab a drink and a bite.

The food was great and the wine too but the attitude of the one bald server ruined the night for me and my friends. We had a reservation at 21:30 and this man insisted that it was at 21:00 when we clearly had receipts. He bugged us at the entrance that we arrived late. Later in the evening when the venue was closing, we decided to sit while the rest of the people were leaving because the venue was packed and already a line had formed at the exit. This rude man touch me on the shoulder and insisted that we leave immediately. We asked him what was his reason for being so rude and he doubled down on his rudeness by telling me that I am not educated in clearing the table. All this after we had spent more than 200€ at this place. Every other server was very sweet with us except for this frustrated server who in my opinion has no business working in customer service with his poor attitude. What was a wonderful night otherwise was ruined by this guy.

Yelp
Ordered a bottle of red wine to drink in the cellar with a few friends. Very cool atmosphere in the 13th century church basement. Wine was both reasonable and of great quality. Service was friendly and helpful when our first choice was unavailable. A great place to socialize with friends or have a date night. We didn't have dinner or appetizers, but they do have a full menu. The outside terrace was packed on the night we were there since it was beautiful weather.

Yelp
Ridiculously overpriced for quality and quantity of food served. The quantity of food on the plates is embarrassing. Arrogant waiters with no savoir-faire. The one star is for the excellent Prosecco.

Yelp
Good food, nothing extraordinary. Wine menu is short but very good northern Italian wine selection. Had a flight of Spumante, Bianco and Rosso. Very nice atmosphere... They have lots of wine on the shelves, and you can even buy them. Inquired about showing to the U.S., it's about 250 euro to ship 6 bottles!

Yelp
I found N'Ombra de Vin to be overrated. We were a group of 20 people on a Tuesday night, meaning you would think they would have appreciated our business during a slow day. Went in around 8PM initially for prosecco and then moving on to white wine. First impression: it's expensive. There are no wines for under €40 a bottle. In Italy, that's a high threshold. Fine, I guess, if the service is great. But no. The space was amazing, but the servers refused to even mention the name of the wines (despite ordering more than 5 bottles), much less explain anything about it. Maybe it's me, maybe it's not, but if I go in with a large group on a slow day to an expensive place, I expect to be treated better than usual. Overall, you're paying for the location and rare wines on the list. If you're just going for low-to-mid-range wine, NOT recommended.

Yelp
We came here based on a suggestion, and in good turn, I bring this suggestion to you. We came at 5pm and did not leave until we were kicked out from the table because of preexisting reservations. But by that point, we were sufficiently happy with our experience here and besides, it was time to do more eating and less drinking. We came here for pre-dinner drinks. We initially ordered a bottle of Prosecco and munched on all the delicious snacks the wait staff kept bringing out- nuts, spreads, olives, pizza, cheese, etc. However, after some time we kept noticing the bartender sending out a peachy-pink drink in a wine glass...The Aperol Spritzer. After finishing the Prosecco, we immediately switched to the Spritzer. It is Aperol mixed with Prosecco over ice, served with a lemon wedge. They were great. Initially, the place was quiet when we arrived. But by the end of our boozing, the place was a hot spot. The place for the beautiful people but it is age appropriate. No kids. No teenagers. Just adults enjoying the evening and having a drink. I was told most people come here before going out for an evening of dancing and foolishness. The service is pretty good even when it got incredibly busy. The decor is stylish and chic. We sat upstairs but make sure to take a trip downstairs. Its super cool. It looks like a massive wine cellar complete with arches overhead. We did not get a chance to try the regular food menu. However, if it is anything like the aperativo...i'm sure its delicious. Gives me an excuse to go back. They need to make happy hours in the US similar to the Italian style.

Yelp
Waiters kicked us out by breaking glass bottles in a bin. This was 45 minutes before their scheduled close time. I can't tell you have horrifying it was. Find a bar where you'll be treated nicely.

Yelp
I completely love this place - I am literarily IN LOVE with it. Ever since the first time I stepped down the stairs to meet the gigantic wine cellar in the basement I know where to find heaven on earth. N'ombra de vin was my first introduction to what a real burrata should taste like. Served with honey and grapefruit this symphony of tastes never gets old. TRY IT! Actually I have sort of mixed feelings about writing this review - N'ombra de vin is the kind of secret you would like to keep for your self. But like a great wine, it's always better when you share it with friends and others who know how to appreciate the good things in life. ... and at N'ombra, there's lots of wine;)

Yelp
Fun wine bar with great drinks and great service. The aperativo was amazing. Perfect pre meal drink. The ambiance is modern and the service was great. The drinks came with so much food, more than you would get at any bar. All in all, great place in Milan

Yelp
Unreasonably expensive !!! Staf talking with customers rude that we should thank them, that we have a chance to be here! A bottle of wine, the cheapest, costs 40 €! Questionable quality and with their corporate label! All the wines from one tank! Place sucked from the finger. Do not go and you do not advise

Yelp
Fantastic wine selection! Milan happy hour is such a great concept! If you go around 4-6 pm they'll bring out lots of little plates of snacks along with your wine! I was there on a beautiful day and was lucky to snag a seat outside. The wine selection was amazing - wish I could have had dinner there! A worthwhile stop indeed!

Yelp
My friends and I had a wonderful time. We had an 8:30 dinner reservation and ended up staying past 1... we started with a drink/aperitivo, then progressed to dinner, then more drinks. The mains range from 15 to 35 euro and the cheapest bottle of wine is 40 euro, so it can be a little pricy. We loved the music mix as well as the atmosphere of the wine cellar. As someone else mentioned, it was a chill crowd of people in their mid-20's to 30's with a few older as well (nice change from the college town I'm used to). 3 out of 4 of us loved our dishes - the chicken curry was fantastic. Around 10:30/11 it got a bit darker, the music got a bit louder, and more people filed in. We enjoyed our table spot and being able to get up and dance as well. Overall had a really fun night here!

Yelp
this restaurant looks incredible when you step inside. it's basically a large wine cellar and you can't help but drink amazing wine all night. the food is classic italian and incredible. turns into a club atmosphere later in the evening. already want to go back.
