Nomi Nori
Beautiful Plates, but Missing the Mark.
Nomi Nori is a polished, small eatery with an elevated sushi menu. The presentation of the dishes is beautiful, but overall, there was something slightly underwhelming about the experience.
We visited for a date night, and while the atmosphere had potential, it felt off. There was only one person handling both the bar and table service, which created an odd dynamic. In a place like this, you expect a curated experience, but it felt more like we just sat down, ordered, ate, and left without much else.

I ordered the $80 Nomi Nori Encore, and unfortunately, it really missed the mark. It wasn't just the flavor, it was the overall dull feeling and lack of creativity. The selection felt uninspired, mostly just basic nigiri with minimal flair. (Seen in photo) What was meant to be a chef's selection type experience felt more like a routine platter, with the only "art" being words made out of sriracha. It lacked originality, depth, and excitement--just a dull execution at a premium price.
The restaurant was also unusually quiet, almost like no one had anything to say. The vibe just wasn't there.
There's definitely a lot of potential here, but the execution fell short. That said, my husband ordered the miso glazed salmon and it was very good. We'd love to come back in the future and hope to see some changes in ambiance and overall experience.
