Where do I begin?
This place is, hands down, one of the best dinners I've ever had. Yes, I know it's Michelin-starred so I know I should expect it to be good. But even with my high expectations, they still impressed me. My group had a pre-fixe menu with 7 planned courses but ultimately, the chef surprised us with a couple of extra things for a total of 8 courses. As I understand it, they change their menu regularly but I'll go through what we had. We started with some sort of leaf-shaped crisp with goat cheese and preserves, then went to a mushroom chowder type of thing (that is totally not what it's called but I forgot what they called it), then a beet puree dish, a fish with a consume, beef filet with caramelized onions, a mint granita, sweet rolls with a hazelnut cream spread, and then we ended it all with a classic cheese plate. We also had a white wine from the Loire Valley and a Bordeaux.
I definitely did not do the dishes any justice by my descriptions but trust me when I say that it was an amazing meal and experience. Most importantly, the service was great and just like the classic French way, they did not pressure us to finish our meal. It was definitely a great way to cap off our Paris trip.
