⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing experience at Nomiya Sushi & Izakaya! The sushi was absolutely outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The ambiance of the place is warm and stylish, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a great meal. Special thanks to Paola for her exceptional service — attentive, kind, and truly made us feel welcome. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Google
Came here for happy hour, and most of the drinks were included. We ordered the fried chicken, shrimp tempura, and dumplings. I’d say the shrimp tempura was my favorite the rest of the food was alright. It did take a while for the food to arrive, but the place was packed during happy hour. I’d definitely come back now that I know what to order!

Google
Great service, great drinks, and the food was pretty good! Came here with a friend for happy hour on a Thursday and we got lucky to get seats at the bar because it filled up fast. The sushi rolls were yummy, crispy rice was decent, drinks were so good!

I came in for lunch during happy hour and will surely be back. Before I even opened the glass door a gentleman who worked there greeted me with a smile. I was sat promptly and given then menus by Paola. She as well as the other staff were extremely attentive. The happy hour deal is great and the freshness and quality of everything I ordered were top notch. I order spicy tuna crispy rice anywhere I see it on the menu and this one was one of my favorites. There was an extra level of flavor that was so yummy in the sauce they either drizzled or mixed into the spicy tuna. The chicken kaarage was excellent as well as the spicy tuna roll. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu items. Paola was absolutely sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. I’ll be back soon for sure!

Google
Went with one of my co-workers for lunch. We were greeted upon entry and were told to sit wherever we’d like. The server was very friendly and provided prompt service. My co-worker and I both ordered the stir fry udon noodle bento box and the portion was more than enough. The food was freshly prepared and tasted great. Would recommend and will definitely revisit in the future.

Google
I absolutely love this restaurant! It’s definitely a hidden gem in the Garden City area and has become one of my favorites spots in the Roosevelt Field mall. Not only is the food incredible, fresh and unique but the staff is very friendly and efficient. Paola at the bar is amazing, super attentive, goes above and beyond and she takes the entire experience to a higher level. Here at my top recommendations. The honey chili wings, the Nomiya sushi roll and the lychee martini! Don’t forget to ask for Paola!

Google
Last minute date night tonight and I’m so glad I found this spot! Absolutely worth the price, little expensive but 100% worth it. The Pacific was delicious, but honestly the wings sold the whole thing for me. Christal gave her recommendations and steered us in the right direction! Looking forward to coming again! Oh and the drinks were fantastic too

Google
honestly no complaints, food was good on the pricey side but it’s expected, attentive waiters, clean bathrooms, outdoor seating available

Yelp
The spot sits in Roosevelt Field Mall. Definitely a place for drinks as the front bar area is large and has a nice list of drinks and ample space for a after work drink or drink with friends. The back area is reserved for sit down meals. You definitely see they put the emphasis on the bar area and their drink selections. As for the food it's a bit overpriced and the quality of the sushi is a bit off. Rice isn't prepared sushi grade and is a bit mushy and clumpy. The fish itself has a bit of sinew which goes into the cut and preparation. They go a bit overboard in their sushi roll creativeness as it ends up being a bit too over ingredient and loses the star flavor which should be the fish. Come here for the drinks but the food was underwhelming.

Yelp
Great things happen when you least expect it. Yesterday with all the traffic in Roosevelt Field Restaurant Row,we fought our way to NoMiya, & it did not disappoint! From pricing to flavor, it was awesome!! We have tried so many different variations of Sushi or Japanese Cuisine thru the years, that we really did not know what to expect at No Miya. We have been to Nobu,Tao, & have eaten at Chef Masaharu Morimoto, MoroSan, & I will gladly tell you this, NoMiya, is just as good & if not better, than some of the places I mentioned..Hats off to the chef!! We ordered many of their starters .We had the crispy rice, seaweed & Kani salad, the fried wings, the Gyoza & the rock &roll Shrimp, & they were all amazing!!!! Everything was fresh & flavorful. For me the stand out were the Wings, the shrimp & Crispy Rice..It's not usual in many cases that everything is usually great, but in this case, they all were ..... We enjoyed 3 different rolls. We had the Pacific, the Garden City, & the Ocean. We also ordered their vegetable fried rice. The Rolls were fantastic! Whoever is making them is doing a marvelous job !! They were presented beautifully & everything was fresh! The were filling & tasted wonderfully... The rice was excellent as well, & there was a good amount for all. The ambiance was nice with somewhat of a city vibe. I prefer eating indoors so it worked for me.. There was a lot of sidewalk dining which was nice to see. As for the Service, Krystal & Elvis were the true standouts!! Elvis was as kind as could be & was eager to commodate our every need. As for Krystal, she was simply amazing! She was kind, considerate & understanding. She understands what customer service & satisfaction is all about. She could explain every dish if she had to..She always came to our table with that wonderfully inviting smile. Thank you Krystal & Elvis , you made our dining experience a memorable one...& as for the tall bald gentleman, thank you for your kindness as well.. Appreciate NoMiya, & you will see us again, for sure..Ownership should reward you all...Rudy.

Kimbap Spicy tuna sushi roll Crispy rice with tuna and avocado Wings Cod Entree with rice Wings with rice The only thing I didn't like was the fried waternuts Price: our entrees were CHEAP. Everything was priced at $20. Cod was $35. Ribs $30 These prices are reasonable compared to other places. Service: The service was excellent. Our server was Claudio ... really really nice and friendly Drinks: tasted wonderful Food: our food was really fresh and delicious Place was clean Plus they are part on inKind I will go again

Yelp
3.5 stars. Came by on a Thursday evening for dinner, the soy garlic chicken wings were a delicious app, kani salad was far from good - kind of watery and flavorless. Had the udon chicken noodles, tasted good and a good portion. Claudio was a great server- Attentive, helpful and efficient. Why only 3.5 stars then? Their out of their minds with the pricing - every specialty sushi roll was about $25, and I just didn't think the quality or taste or atmosphere stood up to the price.

Yelp
This was a nice find during a mall stroll at Roosevelt Fields. The restaurant was laid out with a bar on one side and dining room on the other. Seating was ample and the ambiance nice. Service was very friendly and prompt. We were in for a snack so tried a few sashimi, an appetizer and a roll. Everything was very fresh. And amber jack/striped jack/sea bream are not fish you find everywhere so that was great. The sushi rice on the roll could have been slightly more flavorful but very minor. Lost a star only for cost but it was not unreasonable for a mall restaurant. Overall would recommend!

Yelp
Can't say enough positive things about this place all the way from the space, the service and the food. Came here for dinner and was pleasantly surprised of how much we enjoyed our experience. The space has a modern decor and I love the bar that was stocked with whisky. We ordered spicy tuna crispy rice, shishito peppers and gyoza to start and they were delicious. We followed that with tuna & salmon lover and a bunch of nigiri a la carte. I really liked the size of each piece of nigiri and sashimi. Great drink menu and very reasonable happy hour. Service was very attentive and pleasant. Definitely recommend and will be back soon!

Yelp
We had a quick visit, some HH choices at the bar & agreed that we would not return. While the spicy tuna roll was perfect, the Kani Salad was 95% cucumber with absolutely no flavor at all, little Surimi to be seen, very strange. Even the Kani salad at Stew Leonard's is a winner compared. We also had some of the krispy rice with spicy tuna, dressed beautifully but 3 very small bites. For 8 dollars, it could have been a bit more substantial. I would avoid HH and try to judge the restaurant while seated in the back, the front is very small with some take out going on and not much ambiance, so I am sure the area towards the mall interior is much better. Sushi is pricey, here, you are also paying mall rent. The lunch menu looked appealing.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with friends on a weekday. Seating is roomy. The food and service are good. The sushi is fresh and we love the cod fish we had. Since it's inside the mall, it's not very crowded during the day. It would be better if they provide more lunch special.

Preeti G.

Yelp
Great food, great service! We had the salmon roe nigiri, salmon nigiri, Chicken teriyaki, tuna tatake, California roll, and tempura roll. If you ate in the neighborhood, definitely check it out!

Yelp
While at the mall, we saw this place and decided to try it out. The place looked nice from the outside, but it's divided inside ,a little dark no the dining room area, the bar area looked nicer ,but still a little dark for me, but we decided to eat outside, it was a beautiful day for it, the service was very good, the staff was friendly and attentive, but the food was ok, we had the Rock and Roll Shrimp Tempura and the Spicy Chili Wings, they were pretty good, that was followed by the The Lunch Box, it was ok but I had better. There's other choices I like to try if I do go back.

Yelp
This restaurant is very over priced & the quality of the fish was terrible. The fish was warm & the uni was a slimy glob. Not worth the money at all.
google avatar

Jenn Y.

Yelp
Stopped by today for my birthday and I have to say they have the freshest sushi on Long Island. Their uni and toro melted in my mouth! I regularly day dream about this place even tho I'm a regular here ahaha. Definitely a must try!

Yelp
Went to recent Holiday party at this new restaurant in the Roosevelt Mall. Very small facility with wonderful staff and food and bar. Had a drink and tried their tidbits which covered most of their menu. Highly recommend their fried chicken wings Can't see it as a going concern except for happy hours.

Yelp
Tried Nomiya last night for dinner in Roosevelt field mall near Havana central. The decor & service was great. The waitress was very engaged & made suggestions based on our questions. The bar area was nice & easily accessible from the parking lot. The food was tasty & the spice for the harami fried rice was just right based on our waitress's recommendation. We also had the beef teriyaki which was great as well. The appetizers were delicious as well we had the wings & shrimp gyoza. The price to the portion ratio isn't a lot so if you're looking for a lot of food you may be disappointed. Price for 3 people sharing 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 mock-tail sparkling water & a fever root ginger drink was great at $120 including tip. I would rate it as follows: Price to food-3/5 Decor-4/5 Food-5/5 Service-5/5

Yelp
Stopped by this Japanese restaurant by the mall, but quiet in there but they were very nice. Loved the bar setup. They had a great lunch box I think I seen on the menu but we decided to do La Carte. Ordered a bunch a things , service was amazing and fast. Food was delicious, definitely try the ribs and soy garlic wings !! Parking - A lot Service - 10/10 Ambiance- Very Nice , seating in the back Large Groups - Call and ask WiFi - Not Sure Baby Approved !!!
google avatar

Yelp
I love the fried wings with the bakudon sauce, we're always sure to order it! The lychee house soda and lychee martini are also excellent. Servers are also friendly and attentive. We always stop by when we're hungry at the mall.

Yelp
Limited menu but we decided to give it a try. Sushi was okay. The worst part of the experience was the children running around screaming for the 40 mins we were there. The strange part was the employees didn't even acknowledge what was going on. We stopped eating and asked to take our food to go. No one asked if everything was okay. No one apologized. No one seemed to think something was wrong with the dining experience being delivered in that moment. Not the place to go if you want a quiet dinner.

Yelp
Came with my husband for the lunch. I ordered the chicken teriyaki lunch box, but unfortunately was incredibly disappointed. The actual chicken teriyaki was mostly peppers and onions with very little chicken. And as someone who has eaten rice almost every day of my life, I can assure you that I was served leftover day old rice. Lol. Overall, very unpleasant and for such a very pricey lunch special, I would will surely not return.

Yelp
*review also posted to open table* We've been to Nomiya a couple times in the past and they were excellent experiences. This visit however, left much to be desired. We had a 530p reservation for 8 and upon arrival, the staff let us know that we could be seated anywhere but the dining room as a previous large party had "been there for 3 hours and haven't left yet." Since we were there with both my parents and my in laws, we took the lounge option that the manager provided us. This is where the experience started going downhill. Instead of a server, we had a bartender taking our order. We placed multiple items and it took at least 15 minutes to get our first 2 appetizers. After they arrived we placed sushi combo orders and wasn't able to place our entrees until they arrived. My brother placed app, rolls, and an entree at the same time but his app and rolls came 20 mins after our first rolls. We felt like our server completely forgot about us (which probably happened because he was making drinks for the whole restaurant in addition to taking care of our table). We had to serve ourselves water and when the pitcher emptied, he came over took it and never came back with another to finish filling the rest of the table. He even mentioned that he thought "the other guy (my brother) had done it and we were like... uhh he doesn't work here. I dont think anyone came to check on us unless it was to take an order or drop off food. Lastly, after the meal and we went to settle, they over charged us. We came for mother's day dinner where it's one free entree for moms with the purchase of a full entree. We got 3 entrees and we had to tell THEM to take it off our bill and had to show them their own promotion. At the end of the day, we were just very disappointed with the experince, especially since a manager greeted us immediately upon arrival knew we'd be placed in a less than prioritized area.

Yelp
Such a hidden gem in the mall. First time I came here it was on a whim. We were peckish and noticed all the anime figurines on the wall. Figured- why not? Easily the best miso soup I have ever tasted- and I do not like miso soup. But I drank every last drop of this one. Their lunch specials are the perfect amount of food. The sushi is fresh and delicious. Their teriyaki shrimp is great. Fantastic small plates as well. The restaurant itself is quaint and nice. Staff is friendly as well. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Had a great dinner at Nomiya. Perfectly located in Roosevelt Field Mall and surrounded by other great restaurants. It was a Saturday evening and they were able to accommodate us without a reservation. The place is open but still provides privacy from the mall. We started with the avocado bomb, it was perfectly delicious. The only thing was that the chips were too fragile to scoop the goodness. I ordered the Hamptons roll and the Old Country roll. My husband got the Nomiya roll, which was beautifully presented. He also ordered the pacific roll. I finished it off with a green tea mochi ice cream.
google avatar

Debbie D.

Yelp
Ordered a house made soda and mocktail to start. Essentially a strawberry lemonade with fresh ingredients so it was delicious. The mandarin soda is absolutely delicious, also ordered hot green tea. The Atlantic roll is $28 and comes with "dragon's breath" the fire to heat it up. It's a cute show. We ordered the curry and upgraded it to the chicken katsu version. We also ordered the sushi tasting menu for $75. Everything is definitely on the pricier side for this area but every piece of sushi and sashimi was super fresh and the uni melted in my mouth. I would definitely return. Service was excellent. Our waiter was polite and checked in on us. The space isn't huge so it could be crowded on busier days. There's about 13 tables.
google avatar

Yelp
Food is fresh and excellent taste. Recommend the avocado bomb and sushi platter They are inside the Roosevelt mall. There is a full bar , they have good japanese whiskey

Yelp
Came here for lunch today as my girlfriend has been raving about this place since she used to go often, so today we went and tried it out. Nice intimate spot in the mall, a good nook for a sushi spot. Everything clean, fresh and new. The staff is friendly and professional, well trained and personable as well. It was also the beginning of Long Island Restaurant week, which I forgot about, so that was a nice surprise to see they are apart of that. Went with the Vegetable Gyozo, 2 Roll Combo, and Mochi for $22, not a bad deal. My GF got an Avocado Bomb, which was very fresh and nicely styled, Crispy Rice as well. We got Green Tea to mellow out which was stepped nicely and relaxing. 4 stars overall. Fresh fish, good deals, and a great sushi spot if you're in the mall.

Yaron U.

Yelp
Wonderful experience. Good food, took advantage of the happy hour with drink and apps. Then went for the cod and short ribs entree. Delicious, perfectly cooked. Claudio, our bartender/server and all of the service was fantastic. Definitely coming back.
google avatar

Mel P.

Yelp
I saw this sushi spot show up on my Instagram feed with delicious looking food so decided to check it out. All the food was OK but the 3 stars is for the value of what you get. It's a pretty pricey menu and not all the menu items lived up to the price tags IMO. The Avocado Bomb was the only thing we ordered that was 100% worth it. We also ordered the sushi roll with the tiniest, thinest pieces of wagu for $30. The roll itself was also SO SMALL! I was kind of shocked and not in a good way. The Spicy Rock Shrimp was basic and also not a large portion. We added an order of Gyoza because we were still hungry and I honestly didn't like them that much. Cocktails were good. The decor is lacking and the spot lights need to be dimmed. I felt like I was on display at an art gallery with the lighting. Our server was great. Super friendly and professional. I'm an avid sushi eater so unfortunately I'd say you can definitely get more for your money at a million other local sushi restaurants.

Yelp
I was a little skeptical coming here with no expectations. We decided to venture in. The de'cor has it's modern minimalism. The service was 10 for 10. Our waiter served us as if we we're at a Michelin Star restaurant. I wish I can say the same for the food. We started off with their fried wings. It has that "bar" like type where they are small bite size drums and wings. Which isn't a bad thing. but doesn't fit the nature of this restaurant. We ordered the Pacific Roll which consist of; Lump Crab Meat, Avocado, cucumber topped w/torched A5 Wagyu. The Lump Crab Meat overpowered the entire roll. I'm not so sure if the Wagyu A5 was "torched" or if it was even Wagyu. Usually Wagyu has a distinctive taste once torched when the fat is rendered giving it that aroma. Sadly it didn't give the scent nor taste. Felt more like it was the fatty beefs from hotpots but that is just my speculation. The Hampton Roll ; Kani Cucumber avocado w/assorted fresh fish. There wasn't really anything bad to say about it. It was good and I liked that it possibly may have OTORO (Fatty Tuna) in the mix. Which is a plus. On the side we ordered sashimi ; Ebi, Unagi, Otoro, and Uni. Everything was fresh on this end. The Ebi (Shrimp) wasn't what I expected. In some places they serve it in a al dente style where you get to enjoy the bounce texture. This was more of a small/cocktail shrimp style. Overall the server & management was on top of services. Not sure if it was the selections we've chosen but It was good just not of that value.

Yelp
Excellent quality sushi in a high end dining setting. Plus they have outdoor seating! The way the menu is structured and priced makes the omakase the best value proposition - it's an omakase joint that meets the trappings of fine dining. To get omakase of this quality in NYC you'd be spending $120+, while a few omakase focused places in Long Island are priced closer to $90, so this place justifiably hits a bit of a high end omakase sweet spot price-wise. They also have kalbi which I've heard is great though we did not have it ourselves. The setting (particularly while eating outside) makes for some quirks - the omakase came in a flight instead of sequentially but the sushi chef comes out to explain the ingredients, order and rationale. The service is excellent and extremely attentive. They have a kids menu and high chairs so you can bring the whole family. My sons stir fried Udon was fantastic and I wished I had gotten the full sized entree to share. The omakase itself was fantastic, we also got some uni and o-toro on the side which was great, the single order of uni was big. We had some yellowtail rolls and ocean rolls as well which were great, as was the yellowtail jalapeño appetizer. The drink selection includes soju and sake, and they had Kirin on tap which is great. The only miss is probably the cocktails - I we had two fruit cocktails (I don't recall which) which were not palatable, it seems they were conflating an over-abundance of sour/bitter flavors for sophistication. In all, excellent new sushi joint in town, will definitely return in particular since most sushi places don't have outdoor seating. Food was excellent, service was amazingly friendly from the service staff to the chef and manager TJ, and the restaurant itself is beautiful!

Yelp
An absolute gem of a restaurant. Easily the best sushi I've had in Long Island, and one of the best I've had in NY period. Service is phenomenal and their summer high ball specials are a must-have. Their japanese style fish and chips are to die for. The ambience is great as well. Loved my experience all around. Definitely would go again.
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
The place is really small. There is a bar and a lounge area for happy hour. The lounge consists of 3 tables. The food was good. I enjoyed the shrimp and the shrimp fried rice. The shrimp came with 5 pieces. The strawberry dreams drink was good. The Hennessy with green tea wasn't so good. The drinks also aren't strong. The wings came as soy garlic, hot or sweet chili.

Livia X.

Yelp
Fantastic dinner all around. Excellent service. Everyone was so friendly, kind, and funny. Made the experience that much better. For appetizers we ordered: Edamame, shishito peppers, kani salad, and the yellowtail jalapeno. Our entrees: Negi Toro Roll, Yellowtail & Negi Maki Roll, Sushi Tasting, 7 pieces & 1 Maki (Chefs choice), and Fried Rice (Beef) Everything was excellent but the yellowtail jalapeno, negitoro roll, & fried rice were near perfect. The yellowtail jalapeno was fresh, thinly sliced, had a powerful kick. The negitoro roll was buttery, with scallions, and had just enough rice where we could really focus on the fatty tuna. The fried rice was so flavorful on its own, has tiny bits of beef (optional), and the rice had the perfect crunch on the outside but still soft on the inside. Highly recommend coming here!

Yelp
Since Long Island suffers from a dearth of good Japanese restaurants, we were really enthused about trying out newly opened Nomiya. Unfortunately the experience left much to be desired in terms of value, freshness and variety. In fact after paying the $300+ check (for two) and leaving hungry, followed by a long unpleasant date with my bathroom immediately afterward, I cannot recommend this venue at all. As a recent Yelp review noted, Nomiya raised the price of its sushi and sashimi omakase from $65 to $95 just over the past few weeks. In fact the former prices were whited out on our menu and clumsily replaced with stickers showing the newly inflated tariffs. (see pic). Guess they were too thrifty to print a new menu or do they plan on more price hikes? Whatever, since we don't mind paying for good sushi and top quality fish isn't cheap, the new pricing seemed fine - but not for what we received. We were seated promptly and our server was friendly and polite, but didn't know much about what he was serving. Started off with the classic shoju cocktail, very small and full of ice at $15.00 so got another round asking for less ice, instead paid for another icy weak drink. Nomiya did not offer any complementary courses (e.g. soup, small dishes, green tea) with the meal as is customary in other Japanese restaurants. After the maguro tuna roll, everything else was served all at once. While the fish tasted good, we were disappointed by the lack of variety - mainly generic tuna, salmon and snapper. We were surprised that uni was not included since we saw it pictured with the omakase on Nomiya's website. So we decided to add a couple of pieces of uni sushi at the end of the meal. Uni isn't cheap, nonetheless we were shocked when the check came and saw that those two skimpy, not so fresh pieces of uni cost $40.00! What a ripoff, for that price we should have received a generous roll of melt in your mouth goodness. (Mea culpa, I should have asked for uni pricing first as it wasn't noted on the menu...live and learn). In retrospect we didn't see anyone else getting sashimi and our server had pushed Asian fusion cooked items like "avocado bomb", so maybe the sashimi and uni don't turn over that fast. Whatever.....we won't be returning to find out.
google avatar

Dominic W.

Yelp
Food was exceptionally tasty. Favorite was avocado bomb and rock and roll shrimp. We over ordered but everything looked so delicious. The bento boxes had just the right combination, even giving a choice of pork or vegetable gyoza. We will definitely be back soon.

Yelp
(Ordered takeout / catering for a birthday lunch) Great experience with Nomiya! Very kind staff at this new business who helped ensure everything was perfect for our lunch. We ordered omakase lunches and some a la carte sushi nigiri for my Dad's birthday. We were set on eating at home, so we just had to find a place with great sushi (my Dad's favorite - we are Japanese and more selective about our sushi). Finding a decent sushi restaurant for omakase is difficult if not impossible to find in Long Island. We were considering driving all the way in to the city to pick up our omakase lunch, but decided to try out Nomiya. This review is based purely on the food and the service we experienced for our order, so I can't comment on the full restaurant experience here. The host who took my order was friendly and once I explained to her that our order was for a special occasion, she made sure to check with the sushi chef to make sure our order had everything we wanted, as well as some other things we wanted. When we picked up the food, it looked great, and they even threw in a couple of complimentary items "for the birthday boy". I wouldn't have expected that, but appreciate it. In terms of sushi quality, our omakase was delicious and exactly what we had expected. We were especially happy that the UNI (sea urchin) from Japan was sweet and creamy and delicious. If you know uni and the large range in taste and quality you can find, you know how important this is. Thanks Nomiya!

Yelp
It's a cute place outside the mall, ambience is welcoming, and service is friendly but food took a while to come out. My favorite dish was the crispy tuna. All the food was great but nothing spectacular for the price. I did not like the sushi roll that was smoked, would have preferred it the way it was prior. Glad I tried this place but not sure if I go back.

Yelp
Service was adequate at best. Had to wait to be seated - the restaurant was empty - had to wait for our order to be taken - had to wait for check and for someone to take the payment. Did I say the restaurant was EMPTY! The food was good we had 2 suggested items - the total was over $50! Was it worth it, the overall decision was NO!

Yelp
This place is so good! I'm a NYC omakase lover for years before it was cool:) living in Long Island it's super tough to find quality sushi, many from here would argue, but they haven't had the best. Anyways Back to Nomiya garden city all of there food is amazing! First time here was omakase with my daughter and a signature rolls with lychee martini and it was amazing!! I'm now addicted! You will not be disappointed. The service was great too. Ambiance and music was very relaxing and calming.

Yelp
Delicious, service is excellent food was great served fairly quickly and space was actually quite nice. It's pricey but they are definitely shooting for a high end experience. The dishes were not really anything creative, fairly common you can find else where. Very good and good place to get seated right away.

Yelp
Food was so mid and the price was outrageous. Was not worth the amount of money spent and service was mediocre. Do not recommend. You will not get your moneys worth. I was still so famished that I had to stop by Popeyes.

Yelp
Beautiful, Cozy new restaurant right at the tip of our fingers. This gem is right in the circle of Roosevelt field mall and definitely stands out. My server for the evening was Helen she was great, pleasant and patient as she explained the menu and even gave me some drink options. I do encourage stopping by during happy hour because they have such great menu options. My first drink of choice was a Lychee martini fantastic! I could have had this all night and I highly recommend. My second drink was Strawberry dreams it's very sweet and also had good flavor. My friend ordered a Strawberry Dreams Too which is a mocktail and he said it was also good and has a nice sweet taste to it and the lemonade gives it a slight tartness. For appetizer I ordered Vegetable Gyoza the unique green color immediately caught my eye, It comes with a dumpling sauce and paired well. We also ordered Shrimp & Vegetable Tempura which was fried to perfection and you just know this from the crunch as you bite into it. The batter is made from just flour and water which means if you do choose to only order veggie it's vegan! For entree I ordered a Miso Salmon I really did not think I would like the miso but to my surprise it was delicious it was paired with perfectly cooked asparagus & fried rice that I could not stop eating on the side. AMAZING! My friend ordered the teriyaki veggies which he said was good and it came with white rice. He is vegan so it was important that we were able to get him something that he would enjoy. He ordered a ginger beer it was very dry and more on the scale of being beer like. For dessert we got one of my favorites mochi ice cream! I absolutely can't wait to come back and try some other menu options.

Yelp
What an amazing dining experience! We came here on a Thursday afternoon and had such a great time! We sat at the bar and order several different rolls, all were amazing and fresh we especially loved the yellow tail roll. The bartender, I believe his name was Brain was awesome and even let us try a drink off of the new menu, everything was amazing I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
One of my favorite Japanese spots at the Roosevelt Field mall!! So far, I've tried the Sashimi Tasting, Pacific Roll , Alaskan Black Cod fish , Avocado Bomb and Ube & lotus chips was pretty good. The food was amazing and service was attentive. The restaurant is nice n cozy and plenty of parking outside the mall. Most of all, They have good selection of different type of liquor to go well with some of the dishes. If you're in the area, You should definitely stop in if you're craving for some sushi or a nice dinner and you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back again!

Yelp
My New favorite Japanese spot by Roosevelt field Mall! The Ambiance is cozy and inviting. The Server/bartender is attentive and knowledgeable. Such a GEM!! Came here on a Thursday night and were seated right away. I ordered the Alaskan miso black cod and let me tell you, I've had many COD dishes in my life and this is by far THE BEST/FRESHEST COD IVE HAD IN A LONGGGGG TIMEEEEE! Highly highly recommended. The sushi/avocado BALLS ARE SO TO DIE FOR. it's so freaking cuteee and THE PRESENTATION 10/10. * had to take a picture with it * LOL and yes they got karaoke ! So if you love singing your heart out while enjoying a nice dinner time with friends and family, THIS IS THE SPOT. 10/10 Overall, I would definitely recommend it and will be back for round 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 +

Yelp
I have a pretty low bar for sushi on Long Island, but Nomiya exceeded my expectations. I went for lunch to try their Restaurant Week prie fixe menu. The restaurant is pretty small and intimate. It is right outside of the Bloomingdale entrance to the mall, so it was hard to find close parking spot, though obviously the parking is plentiful if you don't mind walking a little bit. We tried vegetable and pork gyoza, as well as the chicken wings. The gyoza were nice but pretty forgettable. The wings were much better. The spicy chili sauce was sweet and pleasantly spicy. The wings were crunchy and not dried out. We also ordered the crispy rice spicy tuna off the regular menu. While the sauce for this dish was really good, I felt there wasn't enough of spicy tuna to match the fried rice cubes. The portion was pretty small also, since this appetizer was almost the same price as one whole RW meal! We went with the Maki rolls as our entree. I loved the tuna. It was nice, fresh, and strongly flavored. The tuna worked for both the Ocean roll and the spicy tuna roll. All of the other raw fish were fresh and delicious as well. I usually hate shrimp tempura roll, but I tried my brother's and it was also so good. The service was very good. It did take a little bit for our meal to come out, but it might be because we went right at opening. When our spicy tuna crispy rice didn't come out with the rest of the appetizer, I did have to inquire about it. I think the server just forgot we had ordered it, she got it for us right away. We got a nice little mochi ice cream at the end too. I would love to visit Nomiya again for a special occasion, maybe try their izakaya style menu as well next time.

Yelp
Sushi places = tempered expectations but even then, this place was pretty disappointing. Located near other restaurants in the Roosevelt Field Mall, this place has a pretty standard sushi menu - rolls, appetizers etc. I won't belabor the point but this place was pretty pricey for sub par quality sushi and appetizers. I've had better from a supermarket if I'm being honest and it was pretty underwhelming. Service was good but there's no saving the food. Hard pass.

Yelp
This place just opened at Roosevelt field mall a month or so ago and we needed to try it. It was perfect timing because it wasn't crowded, it only got crowded when we left around dinner time. The place looks very modern, nice bar area, outdoor seating, and a couple tables considered as the bar area as well, which is welcoming considering we don't need to sit at the actual bar to have happy hour. We started off with a bottle of wine for $20, can't go wrong with that, the Riesling was chilled and kept chilled. The avocado bomb, was THE bomb, good portion size as well, it came with "ube" chips on the side, which we definitely needed more of. Spicy tuna on crispy rice was amazing, packed with amazing flavor and the jalapeño hits your tongue at the right moment. Pacific roll: we were not a big fan of this and I feel that this roll could've been executed better. The wagyu on top was too thin and not what we expected, it was bland even with the soy sauce. Would not get it again. Nomiya roll: was the star of the show, dragons breath is when they light it up in front of you, so you get that smoky taste, it smelled delicious and tasted equally amazing. The crispy shrimp was absolutely divine. Tuna tataki: torched on a bed of house made ponzu sauce, brilliant flavors came together in this dish. Our waiter Cassidy was extremely pleasant and super friendly. Julie the beverage director, really hooked us up in the end!! Thank you both for an amazing first visit at Nomiya, we will definitely be back!

Yelp
It seems like they just opened. The waiter and manager had been to our table back to back asking if everything is ok. It's nice that they care abt you but it's too often. Food presentation is good, but the taste is just ok. Just like a regular sushi shop, nothing special about their dishes. The only one I liked is their sashimi tasting. All were fresh and they had fresh wasabi as well.
