A Popular Orange County Restaurant Is Opening Inside LA’s Gorgeous Descanso Gardens - Eater LA

"Nong La Café, a longtime Vietnamese restaurant, is opening its third location in Culver City at 9552 Washington Boulevard inside the former Wise Sons space. The original location opened on Sawtelle in 2012 by siblings Elaine and Victor Phuong. The first 50 customers on opening day will receive a free passion fruit iced tea sweetened with honey." - Cathy Chaplin

We ordered to go, so cannot really comment on the service, but the atmosphere inside feels modern, welcoming and warm. The restaurant is already packed by 6:20pm on a Wednesday. We ordered Bánh mì with chicken and fried egg, and grilled beef noodle salad with egg rolls. The sandwich is my preferred choice. It is very tasty with chewy bread (in a good way), generous portion of chicken and pickle veggies to balance the flavor. The noodle salad is also not bad, but not as good as another place I go in South Bay (Saigon Dish) with less portion. Not sure if the dine in portion will be bigger though. If you are hungry, both options are solid, but if you need to choose one, definitely go with the Bánh mì.

Came here and really enjoyed. The cold noodle bowl was amazing. Really flavorful. The service was great as well as they took good care of us. I would come back.

Google
Family owned spot with other locations in LA. Came here for dinner with a friend in a rainy night around 7:30pm on a Wednesday; the place was buzzing but I was able to get a table for us right away. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. They were out of the veggie pho so I tried the bun bo hue here. There was a giant piece of bone with no meat and limited meat otherwise, but I liked the flavor. It was only slightly spicy so it should appeal to a broader palate. There are options like sandwiches and plates if you’re not feeling like pho. The servers were nice and efficient. Overall, a food spot for a casual meal.

Google
I love Nong La! Originally went to the location on Sawtelle but so glad they opened one in Culver City. The food was all delicious and service was nice and quick. My only feedback, which may be more of a personal choice, is I wish my pho was a bit hotter in temp! It was a bit on the luke warm side for me but I love my soups hot!

Google
Super cute place in the great area for walking around and stopping in bars. The Pho was delicious! It didn’t blow me away with flavor, but it warmed my belly!! Definitely would love to come back and try more of their menu! Rice noodles, but not a ton of GF options available.

Google
Went in on a Wednesday night for a quick dinner. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food comes out quickly and is fresh. Great vege / vegan options. The noodle Salads were the best! Cute little vibe to the inside a parking stage across the street for a quick walk over with secure parking. Great for a low key catch up dinner.

Google
Phontastic Experience! This place is pho real! The broth was rich, the noodles were perfect, and the beef? Un-pho-gettable. Every bite had me feeling souper happy. Spring rolls were crispy little roll models too. Service was warm and speedy, big bowl energy all around. Already dreaming about my next slurp session. Highly re-pho-mended!

Yelp
Love it here and I've loved it since they were on Sawtelle. When I learned that Nong La was going to take over the somewhat cursed location that they've taken over, I was beyond excited. And I'm sure they'll have much longevity (like their noodles) in this location. Both the Banh Mi and pho ga are sublime and worthy of multiple orders. If you get in early enough, you can get the chefs special pho, which was great (apologies, I forget what was in it that made it special). Overall, a great addition and I'm super stoked it's in Culver City, which doesn't really have that many GREAT vietnamese food.
google avatar

Yelp
the noodle was soggy and too soft, the meat was incredibly chewy and meh (and also too thick to where it wouldn't cook in the broth) the broth was also not hot enough. it was also not that flavorful or deep. so many things wrong with this pho - too bad you cannot get good pho too far from westminster/garden grove. the meat had some grizzly parts too and got all stuck in my teeth. like was it cut along the grain? what was wrong with it? i have no idea. one of the most lackluster phos i've had.. i was sad. should have known better not to have vietnamese in the west side T^T

Yelp
Ordered door dash for a lazy Sunday afternoon and to my surprise bun rieu is finally on the Culver City menu! I've been waiting for this to happen since they first opened! I was lazy to drive to the other locations to get bun rieu and to know that it's more accesible to be now is awesome! Since you can only give full stars, I had to give it 4 stars but I really mean 4.5. Lots of noodles, plenty of crab/pork meatballs, and tofu. I only ate half and I'm full! The minor thing that I would change is that the tomatoes were overcooked and didn't have the fermented shrimp that goes as a topping. (Tbh probably better it didn't for my own health lol). Overall would definitely come back for my bun rieu fix!!!

Yelp
Solid Vietnamese with service so fast you will wonder how they do it. everything about this place is nice and hits the spot. This ain't a culinary adventure or mind pooping expertise. It is just good quick food served by sweet friendly people. Have a great time!

Yelp
I wasn't feeling well and knew a bowl of pho would help me get over the hump. In the heart of Culver City, the service here was spot on and the food was affordable. By the end of my meal, it was bustling, but started as a quiet meal (which I prefer). The portions were generous and the spring rolls were extremely fresh and paired well with the peanut sauce. The pho was rich, hot, and well seasoned. Great weekend spot with solid ambiance. I would totally come back again.

Yelp
It was decent pho, a bit on the pricey side, but nothing memorable. Portions were huge, the space was well lit, and our forgotten appetizer was well handled.

Yelp
I can't believe I've lived in LA for four years and just discovered Nong La. I went with a friend to the Sawtelle location to get the Chay noodle (vegetarian pho) and it was sooooooo good. Often when you're craving something light you go out and seek a soup that's clean and light and not too salty. And then again and again you realize there's just no such thing in "outside food". That's where Nong La comes in! Wow, the Chay noodle is full of flavor and ingredients. I LOVE daikon soup and the soup base is made with daikon and carrots. There's a generous serving of tofu and oyster mushrooms too. I'm such a fan of this vegetarian dish! Then my friends asked me if I've tried the Bun Rieu... Where have I been this whole time? This dish has a tomato aspect to it, the broth is slightly acidic. However it's still a clear broth. The crab and pork meatballs are so yummy! I fear I'll be back soon and soon again thereafter for these dishes. Looking forward to my next visit! Also the staff is very hardworking and friendly. I appreciate their efforts immensely. The restaurant can be so very hectic and busy at peak times- be aware of this because there could be a wait. The staff is often trying to manage it the best they can!

Yelp
I love the outdoor seating here. I tried a bunch of different dishes and they were good. I am still so loyal to PHO SHOW for their fresh spring rolls and pho tho. So I have only been here once and got the fried egg roll thingy, fresh shrimp spring rolls, and a salad.
google avatar

Sakol M.

Yelp
Growing up, my mom would make pho on weekend mornings, especially when it's chilly outside. So coming here for lunch reminded me of those times. This corner Vietnamese cafe in Culver City is small with limited seating inside. There's outside seating too, but it was too cold today. I ordered the Tai with thinly sliced rare filet mignon. The bowl came with a side dish of bean sprouts, basil, lime and sliced jalapeños. I added everything to the bowl and mixed them in the broth. The aroma was nice, but my first taste left much to be desired. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I've been spoiled having really good homemade phos in my life.

Yelp
The chef speciality pho was decent. The eggrolls were better and actually good. This place is just only fine, will work in a pinch if you want fusion-y Vietnamese food. I was surprised the pho noodles were fresh/frozen kind and not the dried kind. The service was good. We sat outside with dogs and the servers brought our dogs water which was nice. Nothing to write home about here though. Don't go out of your way to come. The prices are also more on the expensive side. I probably wouldn't come back.

Yelp
Wanted to try this place since it opened, and we had a craving for some comfort and decided to try it out. Service: 4 Attentive and Friendly. They definitely are a team. Food: 1 Sadly disappointed as the flavors cater to more of a mainstream crowd than authentic Vietnamese food. Ambiance: 2 Dinner like and great acoustics. It's not noisy and feels clean
google avatar

Yelp
Was craving some good Vietnamese food and this place definitely hits the spot! They give really good portion sizes and it's really fresh! I loved the eggrolls and the chicken is so tender too! I will say the vermicelli noodles are kind of a strange texture for me. It's not like your normal vermicelli noodle, it's a bit thicker and chewier. Either way, this is a great meal!
google avatar

Yelp
Vietnamese food always hits the spot for me! Nong La recently opened up in Culver City and this is by far my favorite location! I'm wasn't the biggest fan of this place beforehand, but this location definitely changed my changed. Everything we got tasted amazing, especially their banh mi, pho, and vermicelli bowl. For their pho, their broth is sooo flavorful and the meat was so tender. Make sure to dine in to get their Chef Special Pho which comes with beef ribs and tendon. The banh mi was packed with fresh veggies and braised pork, and the bread was crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Everything you get here is sure to be delicious, so definitely check it out the next time you're in Culver City and craving Vietnamese food!

Yelp
This was my first time trying Nong La and I ordered pick up because I was feeling under the weather and wanted some comfort food. When I ordered the pho dac biet, I wrote special instructions to have the rare beef on the side. Since this pho was going to be consumed at home, I want to have control over how well the tai (filet mignon) is cooked since it's thin beef and easily overcooks in hot broth. I received the wrong order of pho (even though the lid said it was dac biet). The meats in the soup were tai (filet mignon) and beef balls. There was a side of extra beef balls. I don't like how the meats are in the soup for take out pho. I think this is the reason there was a mix up. How are you supposed to tell which order is what when the meats are drowned in broth. Very disappointed, I called the restaurant because my pho dac biet had no brisket or tripe and they kindly offered another pho dac biet free of charge. So, I ordered on the phone and made sure the pho dac biet order was correct. I really wanted to have the rare filet mignon on the side. So I asked for ALL the meats on the side. Unfortunately, when I received the order most of the meats (brisket, tripe, beef balls) were on the side (like I requested) and the filet mignon was in the broth (the one meat that I really wanted to be rare on the side!). Since it was already in the broth and by the time I ate the pho at home, the meat was overcooked. Lesson learned: just order and eat pho at the restaurant. It's too hard to get take out pho prepared to the liking of my Vietnamese roots in West LA. If you're in SGV/Westminster/Garden Grove, having rare meat on the side is normal and the ideal way to serve pho. This allows you to add it to your hot broth right before you eat, it cooks quickly, and you enjoy super tender meat. Banh mi thit nuong (pork): the bread was too hard and thin/skinny. My husband said there was really no room for the veggies. I would not order any banh mi again. Com thit nuong (pork rice): Husband loved it. I like that the fish sauce had chili in it. Some Vietnamese places only give you fish sauce and you have to add chili yourself. Bun bo hue: this was delicious, authentic, and loaded with meat. Definitely a go to meal! I wish they served with cabbage on the side like what I'm used to. The vegetables on the side for all foods were very sparse. Overall, the staff are friendly. The food is good and authentic.

Yelp
Ambiance: this Nong La's new location in Culver City has replaced the previous deli restaurant on the corner spot Service: very fast and friendly with requests Food: simple menu and specialized in noodles, you choose the protein under each category COM THIT NUONG - ** Jasmine rice served with a side of cucumber, pickled carrots and daikon and fish sauce, protein choice of Grilled Pork, the meat was served almost cold, rice was too dry, and cucumber slices were rotten BUN BO HUE - *** Fragrant lemongrass beef soup with vermicelli noodles, pork patty and beef shank, topped with white onions, green onions and cilantro, the broth base was great and the pork meatballs were so tender, however, the rice noodles were too soggy, and the side basil and beans sprouts were not fresh with rotten leaves Price: moderate portions and affordable prices, about $20 per person for a quick meal; unfortunately, overall food quality was very disappointing

Yelp
New restaurant in Downtown Culver city, hope it survives in the corner spot! Never tried this restaurant which also has a location at Sawtelle, food here is classic Vietnamese with west LA prices. It's not gonna be as good as places in Westminster (or as cheap), but it's decent. Beef rib pho - so good! Beef was tender and plentiful, would come back for this especially on a cold winter night. Grilled pork noodle salad - this was ok, pork was tasty but felt like the rest of the bowl was a bit bland, probably should have asked for extra fish sauce. Service was fast and friendly. Nice clean space. Park in CC structures (first hour free).

Yelp
You won't find a Vietnamese restaurant like those in San Gabriel Valley on the West Side, and it may be a bit pricier, but the food is really good and hits the spot. I didn't get to try the pho this time, but my friends rave about it. I loved the CHA GIO BUN, and there's a nice variety of options for dietary restrictions. I'd definitely come back for another meal! ENJOY! PS: I recommend parking at the Watseka Parking Garage. I'd say it's the closest to the restaurant.

Yelp
Walked over here from the hospital and ordered a banh mi sandwich, it did not disappoint. The bread was fresh and the ingredients were flavorful. Prices are fair, servers are welcoming and friendly. I plan on going back tomorrow for pho. The soups look fabulous. The restaurant is very clean and comfortable with outside seating available.

Yelp
Warning to GF folks and celiacs. Disappointed that staff were unsure about items containing gluten or not. Seems their regular pho noodles contain gluten (weird as traditionally they do not) and only vermicelli are GF. Only items on their menu that are GF are chicken and steak phos... Meatballs also contain gluten. At least this is according to staff whom sounded unsure. Items on the menu are pretty limited so it really shouldn't be hard to teach staff what's GF or not. It's also quite easy to add simple 'gf' 'v's etc. next to your menu items -- and would be appreciated by many. Portion sizes also very poor, meatballs were waaay overdone and the size of my big thumb ... tiny! Very overpriced for portion size. Some flavors were good but that's about it.

Yelp
This place is super cute, right in downtown Culver. We went around 7 pm on a Saturday and were seated right away. Got the vegan pho, and it was great! Not the best broth I've ever had but *loved* the veggies they include (so many mushrooms!) Reasonably priced. Would def come back. Lots of free two hour parking in the area so don't pay a meter.
google avatar

Linda B.

Yelp
Try the beef banh mi! The baguettes here are awesome and it's a hearty helping! Jeremy treated us so well and accommodated our request for extra sauce! We'll be back again!
google avatar

Richard S.

Yelp
This place was fantastic. We had the fried spring rolls, fresh spring rolls, banh mi, and of course, the pho with steak. They were all fantastic. The banh mi was very fresh and the french roll was crispy to the bite and soft inside. The pho broth was noticeably less salty than most places which I appreciated. And the quality of the steak was among the best I've had in pho eva! The service was also very attentive and made the meal enjoyable.

Yelp
Nong La just recently opened up near me in Culver City and I couldn't wait to try it. I've been a couple times and have tried their chicken pho, pork bahn mi, chicken bahn mi and fresh shrimp spring rolls Overall the quality of ingredients and portion sizes of the dishes are pretty good. Their bahn mi is thinner than the more traditional bahn mi I've had before, but makes for a really good light bite that's satisfying for one person. I usually ask them to cut it in 4s to make it more bite size to consume Located in downtown Culver City, makes this place an easy location to park near and also go for a walk before or after your meal.

Yelp
I recently dined at Nong La in Culver City and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant's ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The menu offered a wide variety of delicious Vietnamese dishes, and I was particularly impressed with the freshness and quality of the ingredients. I ordered the pho and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The portion size was generous, and the presentation was beautiful. Overall, I highly recommend Nong La to anyone looking for authentic and delicious Vietnamese cuisine in Culver City. I will definitely be returning to try more of their menu offerings. The combination of great food, friendly service, and inviting atmosphere makes Nong La a standout dining destination.

Yelp
We were so happy Nongla came to culver. Finally good clean delicious pho that doesn't make you drink 10 cups of water in the neighborhood. We don't have to drive 15-25 mins to sawtelle anymore! Everything is great- the food tastes exactly the same. Delicious pho ga, a wonderful chicken broth. delicious banh mi with the light crunchy but also chewy bread. Lemongrass rice plate was a kid favorite. And the chefs special with tender beef rib and tendon is always delicious. I did hear a nearby table say there isn't any veg pho options. Well there are rice options and noodle salad options with tofu. My only two cents is that culver downtown crowd is fickle. That's why you see so many places closing even when it's so good. And for some reason bad places that stay open. You have your college kids who want cheap. You have your young professionals who want vibe and dates. then you have your kid friendly crowd around 4-5p, which the neighborhood has a very high amount of kids, and an older crowd as well. While they were quite nice to kids, if you need kid utensils you will need to bring your own or ask for plastic to go ware. Glassware is ... glass for a lack of better description, so you will also want to keep it away from your toddlers. One of the toddler seats also doesn't clip. All in all not a huge space since it took over the corner with high turnover, last one wisesons of sf fame.

Yelp
Culver City has been blessed with a Nong La right by the Culver City Steps! In an area sincerely lacking in quality and authentic Asian food, Nong La brings the best Vietnamese food available paired with a refreshing bright and classy environment. You cannot go wrong with any of their delicious menu options, including pho and bun (dry noodle), though I would personally suggest their banh mi (sandwiches) and com (rice) plates. Each dish is fresh, flavorful, and filling. Try a banh mi thit nuong (grilled pork) and a refreshing passionfruit tea for lunch, then return for some hot pho for dinner. You can't go wrong with the food, service, and inviting ambiance of their third location.

Yelp
So glad to have Vietnamese food so close! I loved the Tai Pho. Service was good and the decor was simple. I wish outside it wasn't just 2 seaters but luckily we snagged a 4 seater inside. Can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Yelp
The food here is awesome and the ingredients are fresh. Both the pork and chicken on noodles our out of this world. It's a little pricey, but such is life these days.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been craving Vietnamese food, and I was happy that Nong Lá opened in Downtown Culver City. I've tried it twice now, and I love just how fresh the quality of ingredients are. The banh mi have the freshest, chewiest baguette bread and the fillings are flavorful (although it could do with more mayo or spread inside). The bún cha gio and bún chay are very refreshing and generous portions, and the goi cuon and cha gio are phenomenal (especially the cha gio!). The pho tai is warm and comforting; the broth is just a tad bland, but the sriracha really brings out the flavor. Overall, a new favorite and I can see myself being a regular here!

Yelp
Food was clean and delicious. Service was great. Definitely recommend!! if you want pho or the spring rolls they are great at this restaurant.

Yelp
It's so nice to have pho in Culver! The parking is tricky but there's a parking garage across that's first hour free near Wild Child. Love the broth and the tofu mushroom. The service is fast and the cafe is very airy lots of light!

Yelp
Came in on a Sunday afternoon and service was attentive. Ordered the pho Tai and crispy egg rolls. Food is delicious!

Yelp
The pork Banh mi sandwich is so delicious! I Will order from them again. Friendly service

Yelp
What a horrible representation of Vietnamese food. We were excited to finally try Nong La since the line for the one in Sawtelle is always so long. But now that we've tried it, all I have are regrets. For starters we ordered the shrimp and pork spring rolls and the egg rolls. The spring rolls were filled 3/4 of the way with shredded lettuce and then a small layer of noodles and the thinnest slice of pork. The egg rolls were brought to the table just minutes after we ordered. Clearly the egg rolls were pre-fried since there wasn't enough time for them to fry up fresh. The filling was dry and pretty tasteless. For entrees we ordered chicken pho, lemongrass chicken noodle salad bowl, beef pho, and bun bo hue (their specialty). What a disappointment all the dishes were. The chicken pho was bland and tasteless, the shredded chicken was so dry. My daughter could barely get a few bites in and ended up leaving almost a full bowl. The lemongrass chicken was so dry. The chicken had to have been sitting around. The beef pho's broth was watered down; no flavor except for a hint of star anise. The deep rich flavor of a good beef pho was sorely lacking. The bun bo hue which was supposed to be a specialty didn't even have a hint of lemongrass, at least the pork patties had some flavor. Even after adding extra chili oil to it, there was barely any taste. The mark of a good Vietnamese soup is the broth whether it's pho, bun rieu, or bun bo hue. None of the soup noodles we tried were rich or fragrant. I don't know if the flavors are watered down due to it being on the Westside, but the food just lacked all around. Not only was the food blah but it wasn't fresh. The lemongrass chicken had been precooked and the egg rolls were prefried. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you're searching for authentic Vietnamese food, this is not the place for you. The only redeeming thing here are the drinks. The Thai tea and passion fruit iced tea were good.

Yelp
I'm so glad there's such a good Vietnamese restaurant here in Culver! I had their vegetarian pho, it was delicious! Lots of fresh vegetables and the pho noodle was awesome too. Service is excellent, decor is cute, kitchen and restaurant look clean. Will return!
google avatar

Crystal C.

Yelp
No knock on the attentive and kind service but the food was alright at best. Spring rolls were small and had too much carrots in proportion to the other ingredients. The peanut sauce was a little bland as well. The portion of the pho was decent but the broth was also bland. It didn't pack the punch and flavor of simmering herbs and beef bones! Although the food arrived super quickly, the pho came room temp and the noodles were sticking together. Options for good Vietnamese food is already limited on the west side but won't be coming back here.
google avatar

Maggie Y.

Yelp
The store is very clean , bright and in the corner of a street. we ordered the crispy pork rolls, tomato meat ball rice noodle soup and pork rice ( can't remember the names). Overall it's not bad but doesn't feel very authentic, I guess because the West LA location made them think they need to cater to a wider audience( so more fusion ). Don't feel too much service here tho no one added water for us.
google avatar

Moozhan T.

Yelp
We (group of 5 people) got here on a Friday night with no reservations. They were really busy, and so there was a long wait time, but they suggested we sit outside while we wait. It was a cold night but we agreed. We sat outside and they brought us hot tea to keep us warm while we waited. Once our table was ready inside, they helped move us inside. The restaurant was clean and our waiter was super attentive. I don't remember what everyone else ordered but my husband and I ordered the spring roll (Goi Cuon) and the rice with grilled pork (Com thit nuong). the spring roll was well balanced, and the sauce that came with it was delicious. but the rice, the rice was just something else and all the little components (the cucumbers, the pickled carrots and daikon and herbs) were just perfect. The meat was tender, flavorful, and so amazing. But the thing that has moved me to giving them five stars, is just the service. They were patient with us five, they refilled our tea, they made us feel welcome and helped the wait time go faster by giving us attention and all the while, despite being so busy, they smiled and never rushed anyone.

Yelp
Nong La has finally arrived in Culver, let's go!!! Pho Show, move the hell over. Our order was filet mignon pho, extra noodles, spring rolls, and egg rolls. Their beef is so tender. They also use the flat rice noodles for their pho vs. the traditional noodles. I don't mind. It's a nice change up but some may not prefer it. The broth is a bit lighter and sweet but still tasty. It's not a very traditional broth but great nonetheless. Everything was great and well priced, especially for pho on the Westside, in downtown Culver, AND 2024. I'm so glad it's here and that Pho Show no longer has the monopoly on this.

Yelp
I love banh mi so much and I was excited to try this new spot in Culver but my sandwich was just so dry. I also tried the spring rolls and they were dry too, even with extra peanut sauce. I think the bread was stale and it was very difficult to chew. With Mendo right down the street, even though their bread isn't correct, I'd still much prefer it to this. But maybe Nong La was having an off day so I'm willing to try again later.

Yelp
Good service. Fresh food. And a cute little place. Food was tasty. Loved the chicken cabbage salad and my pork sandwich. Thai ice tea was flavorful. The size of the food that you get was good......

Yelp
Clean restaurant, good atmosphere. Got the tra dac biet (passion fruit tea), thit nuong cha gio (bottom of picture) and bun bo hue (top of picture). Both dishes were flavorful and tasted authentic. I would have liked the bun bo hue to have even more aromatics, so I asked for more onions, but that's just my preference.

Yelp
I want to first give a shout-out to the service, as it was top notch. The server/waiter was on top of all the customers, both seated and incoming, and was very friendly. I'd rate them a 6/5 for service if I could. And ambiance-wise, it's great. It's very clean, spacious, seating both inside and out. Unfortunately, the food is what dropped this to a three-star review. This was my first time trying this restaurant, so I ordered their top choice for a banh mi sandwich (the Thit Nuong - grilled pork), figuring if they can do this well, then the next time I'd try other things. The banh mi was fine, just very, very bland. I wouldn't say it was bad -- the bread was fresh and all the ingredients were there, but the absolute lack of any kind of seasoning or flavor (it comes with their "house mayo" which tastes like basic mayo) made me think they're casting a wide net for more mainstream audiences (who might be afraid of authentic spices or flavors). I really wanted to like this place, but if their food plays it this safe, there are just too many other options within walking distance that I'd rather return to.

Yelp
After our first visit was so good, we had to come back to try the pork Banh Mi and spring rolls. Another winner! This place is quickly becoming my favorite choice for lunch. If you're not a big eater, the sandwich can easily be shared, especially if you include spring rolls to the order.

Yelp
The pho was solid, the broth amazing, and especially the beef was so tender. I've never had anything more tender from other pho places.

Yelp
Came here during the opening week and thoroughly impressed. I went for lunch and it was a little bit of a wait but I didn't mind. I was curious about the chefs special and it really was special. I thought I would have to work and carve meat off the bone myself but they do it all for you. Not many pho places will even sell this meat, which I think has the most flavor, but this place gave a ton. I also love the flat noodles which comes standard. Overall insane value for the quality ingredients especially in this part of town. I also grabbed the Banh mi because I saw a protein I had never seen before, thit xiu. The thinly sliced, glazed, decadent pork belly was AMAZING. So good I grabbed another one to go so I could eat for dinner. Seriously might be the only place that has this. The bread was also fantastic and you can tell the bread is made fresh daily. They also did a great job decorating this place. Well thought out details from the branding to the hanging string lights. 10/10 will return again

Yelp
Great new place in Culver City. As my youngest put it, "this is delicious!" We tried the Tai Pho, amazing. We also had the Thit Nuong Banh Mi, hands down our favorite. The tra dac biet added the right touch to our meal. Definitely favorite new place in Downtown Culver City.

Yelp
Walked in after going on a run. I live in the neighborhood. Have been wanting to try this spot out. My husband "doesn't like pho" so went on my own. Wow! Very pleasantly surprised with quality, fresh veggies, meat. Flavors were very authentic. Service was outstanding. The restaurant is SPOTLESS. I was hesitant because of slightly higher prices for pho, but it's Culver City. You have to pay the rent to have a good restaurant. And the portions are very generous. I was definitely happy with my dinner. I'll be back!!!
