As a guy who loves chicken pad Thai, my breakdown. Service was perfect-friendly. Atmosphere- workers and guest felt happy. The interior was clean and beautiful. Food- I selected spicy option but it was medium spice at best. The noodles at first appear to be too slippery but as I continued to eat they got better. The chicken comes in flat chunks and would say 10/10 for the chicken. Temp of to go order 10/10. Dish came with peanuts incase your allergic good news, I would return again, as I was full when done eating too!

Google
Parking lot outside and easy to get to from the highway. I had the green curry with chicken medium, next time I'll go with spice level hot. My husband had the drunken noodle with mock duck spice level Thai hot. He said he'd go hotter the next time as well. They can bring out extra peppers as well to the table, so food to thought. The mock duck was super tender, and the chicken in the curry blended seamlessly. Personal suggestion: I'd like to have more sauce with the drunken noodle. Overall, staff was great, we dined in and the food was super quick. We'll be back!

All the food items were excellent, fresh, crispy vegetables. My husband loved his pineapple fried rice with chicken, served in half a pineapple. Great service except didn't clear our table when we funished. Large menu selection. Decent prices.

We had a wonderful dining experience here! The food was absolutely delicious. For starters, we had egg rolls and cream cheese wontons, both of which were crispy and flavorful. For the main dishes, we ordered pad thai, sukiyaki noodles, pineapple curry, and curry fried rice. Every dish was packed with amazing flavor, but the curry fried rice was the standout for me—hands down the best of the night. The only issue was with the drinking water, as it didn’t seem clean, which was a bit concerning. Other than that, everything else was fantastic. I’d definitely come back for the food, but I hope the water situation gets addressed.

Party of two over the weekend. Service was steller! But overall food was waaaaay too salty. Drank 3 cups of water after dinner. Some people like their foods salty but I just personally don't view saltiness = flavor. We ordered 1) papaya salad 2) veggie stir fry 3) pad see ew and 4)pad thai We are huge fan of pad see ew so have tried it from a lot of places. I really liked the texture of the noodle but the saltiness kinda made me stop after a few bites. Pad thai was average. Veggie stir fry was pretty decent with good flavors. Took home and added some more veggied later and it was perfect. Papaya salad was the best out of the four things ordered. BUT again, super salty that we had to drain the sauce after every bite and wrap with lettuce. Again, very friendly service. Also very very minor but using different type of plates for different main dishes would be fun and take up less space for people ordering a lot.

Google
So delicious! We had relatives in town, and my parents always go when they visit us, so we decided to take our family from Florida here. Everyone thought the meal they ordered was delicious (ranging from curry, stir fry, soups, and appetizers). The best part was how amazing it smelled walking into the restaurant. Highly recommend.

Google
Wow, so darn delicious! Fast food service. I had the tamarind and chili chicken this evening and it had great flavor and not too spicy. It was really tasty the next day!! Don't forget to try the Thai iced tea. Looking forward to another visit in the not so distant future. :0)

The food was good, the service was typical, and the atmosphere was alright we were seated at the extension section.

Yelp
Visited Nong's Thai Cuisine for the 1st time with my family this past weekend. I'm so glad we stopped by because I think it's the BEST Thai food I've had in Minnesota!!! The prices are super reasonable in my opinion and they had a nice variety of dishes. Bonus that they had Mango Sticky Rice! It was the perfect dessert for a hot day. Highly recommend checking out this restaurant and I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Ordered takeout from Nong's on a rainy weeknight. We ordered Pad Thai (chicken and beef) and the cream cheese wontons. The quantities were great for the price point and the sauce on the Pad Thai was great. I do wish they cut up the scallions a bit more than the 1.5 inch pieces they use today. Wontons were crispy and a nice side! Online ordering was easy and timely. The pickup process was easy and our food was hot and ready. It even came in a reusable bag, which is a nice touch. The inside was clean and seemed to be well maintained, but we just came in quickly to pick up.

Yelp
Great Thai food in the Western suburbs. No need to travel to eat street and battle traffic and parking for a quick fix. Appetizer: Fresh regular spring rolls are a must. What I loved was the mix of ground pork and fresh shrimp combined with the crunch of lettuce and cucumber. Amazing texture. Highly addicting. The dipping sauce was just the right balance of sweet and savory. Salad: Don't sleep on the papaya salad. The dressing has that fish sauce funk and sour sweet balance with a little kick of spice. It just wakes up your palate. Maybe not for a beginner to Thai cuisine but a must try for those that are more adventurous and want to try something new. Stir fry: Basil stir fry with tofu. Yes tofu! It adds a great texture to the dish and absorbs the delicious sauce. This is a dish that will make anyone enjoy eating vegetables. Noodles: Gotta have the Pad Thai with chicken. It's really well done. The sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and sour. The crushed peanuts and spring onion give the crunch that make this dish so cravable. But the star of the night was the Pad see yew with chicken. This has a wide noodle and a sweet savory dark sauce. The Chinese broccoli and stems provide the crunch and texture. Service is always excellent even when it is chaotic and busy. Inside has a great ambiance and vibe tip toeing the line of authentic decor and family friendly. I really appreciate the cleanliness of the restaurant.

Yelp
When driving to the place, I could smell the food. As someone who is very scent oriented, I knew before I walked into the place it was going to be amazing. I WAS RIGHT. It was busy but I soon learned why. The staff are amazing and friendly, lovely in fact. Clean, tables were perfect. The presentation of the place with the decor, the ambience, top tier. The menu, and drink selection was also quite amazing. My friend said "Hey I know this Thai Place." I was up for anything, and we went here. I ordered the Beef Pad Thai. A fairly common dish, and they asked me what level of spice. My friend assured me that if I got the spicy or hot versions I would be fine. I took my time eating this food. The reason why, is that I wanted to enjoy it, and savor every bite. This is not some pedestrian offering you might get at some fast food place. This was just amazing. I have not had Thai food this good in over 10 years. I intend to return and bring friends. This place is amazing and deserves all the success. Even the take home bag they gave me was amazing. Please go to this place and order something because I promise you, you will not be disappointed. Just amazing.

Yelp
Nong's provides a solid Thai experience with an extensive menu of items to choose from. Service is quick, food arrives fast, and prices are fairly reasonable. The Egg Rolls are very good. Not quite Que Viet level, but very high quality nonetheless. The Green Curry was solid, I should have opted for a little more spice, but you just never know! Nong's is well worth a trip for your Thai cravings!

Yelp
Great spot for Thai food in Golden Valley just off Medicine Lake Road. Nong's sits in the middle of The Sunny Hollow strip mall next to McDonald's and doesn't look like much from the outside. Inside though is clean and uncluttered and I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. Based in part on the recommendation of my waitress, I ordered the Thai basil stir-fried chicken and the Thai fried egg rolls. The order came reasonably quick and the portions were very large (half went home in a box). Everything tasted fresh with a perfect level of spice - I chose medium and would recommend hotter if you want spicy. Both the stir fry and the egg rolls were delicious and I was very happy with the meal. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I recently discovered Nong's through a friend and I'm so happy that I did! The Thai food here is pretty delicious, so far I've had the pad thai, pad see ew, and tom yum soup, all of which have been great! They let you customize your spice for each of the dishes (and don't worry, they can make it "Minnesota" spicy ). If you do really want to experiment with spice, you can also ask for it on the side. I got some extra chili garlic crisp on the side, really nice to be able to control how much I'd like to add to my food. My experiences with service have been pretty good most of the time. Staff is very friendly. Ambiance is also really nice, calm and quiet with a lot of seating. There is also plenty parking.

Yelp
I am scared to post this because I love this place, and I selfishly don't want it to be even more popular BUT it's delicious! My new favorite entree is the pineapple fried rice, I personally prefer it without raisins and cashews. I tried it with mock duck, which I am starting to like as a protein. As always, my absolute favorite appetizer is the cream cheese wonton: they have so much cream cheese filling and it has a hint of sweetness that I love.

Yelp
The food here is always amazing. Fresh, delicious ingredients with fantastic flavor. Service is top notch with suggestions and guidance on what dish you'd enjoy most. Plus it's a clean simple dining experience room with room for all your friends. Go there for lunch today!
google avatar

Ying Z.

Yelp
The pineapple fried rice was surprisingly delicious--honestly even better than what I had in Thailand! The other dishes were pretty good too, though the curry was a bit of a letdown, with 5-6 huge chunks of potato and not much else in terms of vegetables. Overall, the prices are reasonable, the flavors are great, and I'd definitely come back.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised by this unsuspecting restaurant hiding BIG flavor! The strip mall it's attached to makes it seem like a takeout only option but don't be fooled, they have a gorgeously remodeled interior that boasts ample seating. I loved the clean simple environment with comfy chairs and clean look. We ordered their Sukiyaki noodle dish, their stir fry (Thai Basil) and couldn't pass up their Thai fried egg rolls. Serving sizes are massive, I recommend ordering and sharing amongst the table. Flavors were fresh with garlic, fresh herbs and the sauces were compliments to the meals without being over powering. Will be my new favorite small business Thai place in New Hope/ Golden Valley.

Yelp
Heard about this place from a friend in Crystal MN and we decided to check it out. Its in a little strip mall and is very clean and modern inside. The staff has a family feel and we ordered a variety of dishes. My friend swears by the crispy beef appetizer but we got the thai chicken skewers, beef pad see ew, pad thai chicken and drunken noodles beef with thai fried rice. The food was fresh, reasonably priced and we had plenty for leftovers. I highly recommend trying one of the specialty drinks and my kids love the limeade. Im glad we branched out and tried another new place!
google avatar

Sophia P.

Yelp
Food is priced very reasonably and it's absolutely delicious! The portions are very large and my dinner last night lasted me for lunch today as well. We did takeout this time and food was ready quickly as well. I'm excited to come back and want to try the mango sticky rice for dessert next time!
google avatar

Sousakon M.

Yelp
Very busy for a Friday. Order drunken noodles, on the sweeter side. Not spicy. Asked for very spicy. Asparagus with shrimp was delicious. Service was ok.
google avatar

Marilyn H.

Yelp
Went here for the first time with my kids and they loved it. The satay, panang curry, and crispy beef were our favorites. The portions and protein sizes are a lot more than other places. We will be back to try more food! This place does get super busy even on the weekdays.

Yelp
Very pleasantly surprised by this spot! We were craving thai takeout and searched for the nearest options, and this popped up. We ordered: CRAB RANGOONS: - Some of the best rangoon-to-cream cheese ratio I've had! I love the teardrop style of these. - They also had a unique cinnamon cranberry dipping sauce? Seemed homemade and I loved the switch-up from the traditional sweet red sauce. PAD THAI: - Just perfect! Great heat level, noodles weren't too oily or dry, great flavor. And a huge portion. RED CURRY: - Major heat kick but delicious flavor! Rich curry and coconut milk, lots of bamboo shoots and flavor, heaping portion. When I came to pick up, I was very impressed: an updated interior, super clean, friendly front counter service and fast pickup. With those portion sizes, we were able to stretch both our entrees to a second meal, making it very cost effective too. We'll definitely be ordering from here again soon!

Yelp
Being from LA where it's the home to the biggest Thai population outside of Thailand, this hidden gem is worth the visit for any local Minnesota residents. The ingredients are fresh and authentic, the service is top notch, and you can feel the positive vibes. I came with some clients and they also have never been here so they were surprised to know it gets the seal of approval so to speak. The sausage, pad Thai, pad see ew, and the basil stir fry were all delicious. Definitely a place I will always visit when I'm back in MSP
google avatar

Yelp
I've been here and few times now and have enjoyed the lunch buffet both times. The service is great, the food is fantastic and the price is fair

Yelp
The hype is real! The food here is SO tasty! If you don't know what something is on the menu... Google it for photos hahaha. That's what pushed me to try the beef Pad Se Yew and it was AMAZING. It's a cute place to eat at and the service is friendly, but it's just as good as take out! Huge portions - you get your moneys worth and can definitely split an entree or two. Must visit!!
google avatar

Morgan B.

Yelp
I love this place!! Food was very fresh and i enjoyed everything we ordered. i do wish the pad thai had more peanuts/ peanut flavor but was still delicious. Service was awesome and i couldn't believe the amount of takeout business they do.
google avatar

Yelp
Small quintet Thai cuisine in an unassuming strip mall. The food is always spot on. I always get the green curry. One of my favorites in all of MN. This place you have to try if you like top Thai dishes
google avatar

Leah T.

Yelp
Nongs is simply amazing. The service and food were exceptionally good. My favorite was the sriracha fried rice. The kick the sriracha gave was so flavorful. Therm parking is easy and it's right off 169. Phone definitely did not eat first as I didn't take any photos while I devoured the meal.
google avatar

Jackie B.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place for a while now and finally got takeout. The food is amazing and portion sizes are generous. We got the chicken pad Thai and chicken pad see ew both with medium spice levels. The flavors are delicious and the spice isn't too much, next time we will try spicy for sure. The cream cheese wantons are also amazing and are a little different than your usual wantons. Takeout took 20 minutes from order to pick up and was super easy! I highly recommend!
google avatar

Marcin C.

Yelp
What a sad surprise. We came to have the usual wonderful soups only to find out they don't make them vegetarian anymore. Basically nothing is vegetarian besides Panang curry. Real disappointment. This used to be our favorite place for years. We would even order tofu soup for the broth itself. We were told people were complaining about the watered down fall or of vegetarian soups. Well too bad they can't accommodate vegetarians and meat eaters... Sadly we won't be back
google avatar

Loretta W.

Yelp
I ate here before, and had a yummy meal, so decided to come back. We order the fried tofu appetizer, the Rad Ana with pork, and the masaman curry with beef. The tofu was nice a crispy, but soft inside, Served with a tangy sauce for dipping. The Rad Na was really good, although the noodles were in a huge clump at the bottom of the bowl. Once I broke up the noodles, it was super good. The curry dish was delicious. Creamy and spicy with lots of veggies. But...no matter how often we say we want it "Thai hot, number 5", they consistently do not make it spicy enough. The food is good though, and I'd come back.

Yelp
Great good! The thai tea is delicious, something i would do is add a little bit more milk/half and half or cream. The thai tea was a little overpowering. The chicken wing was good and crunchy and it was fresh out of the fryer. Same as the calamari, that was a unique and different style of calamari. It was light and easy to eat. The stir fry chicken with vegetables was yummy. The taste and everything was there, the sweet and savory mix well together. The pad thai tastes a little different from other pad Thai i have had. It was be nice to add a little pepper to it. My bf add the lime, i feel like it kind of kill the taste,( just me personally). The chicken satay was really delicious, definitely tastes better with pepper! Overall, a good hidden location in Plymouth. The service was great and quick. The ambiance was quiet and chill.

Yelp
Best Thai in the Twin Cities! Every time I eat Thai anywhere else I find myself comparing it to Nongs. We don't live close by so when we are in the area we always stop in and are never less than amazed.
google avatar

Leang E.

Yelp
Reservations were made so we were seated right away. Service was efficient. I'd like that there were options for water with ice and no ice. to try the Thai iced tea and that was very good. We tried a lot of appetizers, papaya salad, crispy beef, spring rolls, and Tom yum soup with chicken. I wish there was a smaller soup option, but it was a pretty large bowl fit for a meal. Out of all of those items I like the crispy beef the most. My mom and I split the chicken pad Thai and that was pretty saucy. I also got to try my sister and brother-in-law's drunken noodles one with the medium heat and one with hot heat and I like the hotter one best. A solid spot but I would probably choose another spot for Thai.

Yelp
A solid neighborhood Thai place! The inside is neat and clean, and the service was friendly. We got takeout so can't speak much to if it's different for sit down! Nong's is a friend's favorite, they highly recommend the Pad See Ew. I got the pad Thai- solid pad Thai! I look forward to returning and trying some other things on their menu.

Yelp
This restaurant has always been 5 star for us. We have been coming to Nong for over 5 years and discovered tonight that they no longer offer vegan broth for their soups. We have been coming to Nong because of their vegan options and it is very disappointing that they no longer offer the vegan option. I feel it is rather lazy to get rid of that option because of complaints of its taste instead of working to improve the vegan broth. We won't be back until the vegan option is back on the menu. Very sad.

Scott O.

Yelp
Awesome Thai food. The curries are authentic. The staff is very attentive. Reasonably priced. Great for takeout or dine in. Very clean establishment

Barbara M.

Yelp
I had not been to Nong's for a long time but my visit today made me certain I will return again soon. My standard for comparison is Drunken Noodles and Nong's Drunken Noodles are a 10!!! Super flavor, fresh veggies and a thick, generous sauce with "mid" spicy made a perfect meal. (I will note that the chicken was a little dry and this should be corrected-but the sauce helped that) Also had the Thai fried egg rolls...also delish.
google avatar

Cyann L.

Yelp
TAKE OUT SERVICE very quick and easy. although the front door to walk in to get your togo order is tight and small, it wasn't too busy during the lunch rush Egg Rolls are too notch! Perfect amount of veggies and meat. Sauce is basic but good. Pad See Ew is delicious but not as spice as I'd like. I'll definitely will be stopping by to dine in because I love hot fresh food, so I'm excited. Definitely a great spot for a bite, you don't want to miss out
google avatar

Yelp
This place is so nice!!! Clean, modern. Comfy booths by the windows. Service is efficient and friendly. Food is great! My favorite is the Rama Spinach Curry with Roasted Peanut. Can't wait to go back and get it again and again...

Yelp
I'm not sure what the hype is about this place. First of all it's in a strip mall and was very busy. We had to wait 50 minutes to pick up our takeout. The food I will keep this short. I just don't know what it is about Asian takeout lately but every asian restaurant as of late the food taste very mass produced and what I mean by that is there is a distinct aftertaste that is similar through every dish kind of like a dirty walk or food being processed on the same surface without cleaning I'm not sure but it's a very distinct once you taste it. To make sure it wasn't something in my head the next day the leftovers were even worse so we threw out over 50% of the food. We ordered - beef and broccoli. - Curry chicken fried rice And I believe spicy crispy beef ? All was not great. Won't be returning.
google avatar

Kelly U.

Yelp
Easy parking, busy but we got in quick, huge menu selection, mmmm. Great service, nice selection, quite restaurant dining - great combination for an enjoyable evening out or takeaway for move night at home!

Yelp
First and foremost I've been to Nong's probably 30 times. I was eating a meal and found a huge chunk of a foreign object in my mouth? It was very hard and cracked in half and lodged into a few of my teeth. My girlfriend heard the huge crunch noise right away and asked what was that? I said I'm not sure and proceeded to try to work it up to the front of my mouth where I could inspect it. Biting and moving the object forward and up again with my teeth and tongue. The object crunched loudly again. And I started removing little pieces of the object which was broken and split in half in my mouth and finding little tiny pieces of something which I was unable to recognize? It was super hard and certainly didn't belong in our food!!!!! I wasn't sure if I cracked my tooth in half at this point? My girlfriend asked me to spit the remainder of the food in my mouth into the napkin. She was right it was certainly dangerous to chew it because it was so hard! I wasn't sure if it broke my tooth? Will follow up with dentist. I explained to our waitress that we found this object and we had to spit it out and put in a napkin. She then came up and started looking for it in my chewed food in the napkin. I said oh you don't have to look for it here at the table. Kind of gross! We had taken a picture of a portion of the object which is extremely hard and had a white appearance to it. We explained that we weren't comfortable continuing to eat because there could be more fragments or pieces of that object that's in the meal. We were splitting a meal so obviously my girlfriend didn't want to have the same foreign object experience as well. The server was very kind and said I will get the manager, and she was a little embarrassed about obviously what had happened. The manager came and was in full Karen attack mode. She had already decided what the object was without even talking to me telling me that whatever it was was so tiny and these things happen. I hadn't even been given a chance to even say my name so I told her my name and I asked if she was the manager and she said yes. She continued to explain that it's just a little piece of sand. She repeated this several times as if to try to diminish my horrible experience. Sometimes the sand isn't able to get completely washed out; and it's only a small piece of sand. So I explained to her it wasn't a little piece. It was actually quite a big chunk that split off in my mouth and lodged into several of my teeth and that was only a fragment of the piece that came out. She felt compelled to argue and make us both feel uncomfortable at the table as if we had done something wrong. We are only saying we didn't want to complete the meal. She never asked if she wanted a replacement meal nothing. She just continued to argue with us as if we were having intentions of anything else, but perhaps getting a new meal or an apology which she frankly wasn't able to do. She continued to argue so we finally just said look we're not here to argue with you. You could've at least just said you're sorry. Unfortunately, her ego was bigger than her managerial skills and she was incapable of having any type of remorse for our ruined meal and the experience that we had. So of course she continued to insist that we are obligated to pay for the portion of the meal that hadn't had any foreign objects in it, which was somehow supposed to make us feel better? All we said was we wanted an apology which was below her to extend to us! Long story short she was very negative and extremely Derogatory "I'm sorry", she said are you happy now? "Is that what you wanted?" And it's just sad that some people are put in these positions and don't have any type of respect for the customer. The customer isn't always right, but, the customer should feel as if they matter and they're at the bare minimum respected. She failed on all accounts and we'll probably will never go there again. We just wanted to share this experience with people that truly value their time-in regards to restaurants and socializing with friends and family. Although we're are only two people in this huge world we value how we treat others and try to extend our kindnesses whenever possible. It's unfortunate that a restaurant can be so retaliatory and dismissive. The last words the manager said was, "I don't care!" And we both said wow that the it very evident! Finally she admits she doesn't care! In the end her inability to apologize said it all!!! So definitely he cautious when spending your hard earned money in this establishment. You might end up with an argumentative defensive manager who can't apologize for putting unidentified foreign objects in your food and telling you in the end she doesn't care!!!

Yelp
A great, clean spot with friendly servers. Just walking in you can smell how great the food is! A three spicy is just enough to know that there is some spice and the 4 spicy will sneak up on you, but still not too spicy. We enjoyed the Rama curry and Pineapple curry a lot! The tofu is perfectly crispy on the outside. And of course, a Thai iced tea always rounds out a meal.

Yelp
Second time I come to this place first time I came food was good that's why I gave it a second chance but first time Service was horrible. I had to go get the waiter in order for us to get boxes to go and our check after waiting around 15 minutes with no one approaching us. We gave it a second chance today there was a hair coming out of the center of my Thai rice when I let the server know, she rolled her eyes, took the plate didn't say anything and just brought back after a while a new plate of rice. By the time she brought the rice back, we were almost finished with our food decided to take most of it home so we asked for chili oil to go. Once again, we had a flag down the server for them to get us boxes and give us the check when I asked for the chili oil to go. She went back to the table and checked the remaining chili oil that was left on my plate and said she would have to charge for a chilly oil to go.. this place is good but it's ridiculous. Service will never come here again.

Yelp
Excellent clean place. Food is good. Waiting a little to get seated. Tight parking lunch time. No music . Decent decoration but nothing wow. Flooded with natural light. Service is 10 min on average. Close to a highway .

Yelp
Like this place as the food is prepared well with options to choose the level of spice and type of protein. Although this is pretty standard for many of Asian restaurants, the taste and the spice level is perfectly blended with the dishes. The pad Thai is not too soggy, the stir fried black pepper and garlic beef is super tender.

Kim R.

Yelp
Ordered a few dishes for takeout from here for the first time and everything was delicious! I can't wait to try more food from here! The gyoza was super tasty!
google avatar

Dianna N.

Yelp
Never dined in, but had takeaway several times. The staff are always friendly and quick. It's always packed well and ready when I arrive. Big portions and great flavors!

Rusty C.

Yelp
Food is great. If you like Thai cuisine it is perfect for any craving. The spice levels are accurate as advertised.

James W.

Yelp
Appetizer spring rolls were fresh and delicious but the beef in my main dish was tough and chewy and I thought the flavor was bland.

Robert J.

Yelp
The food was fresh tasting, it was just too sweet for my liking. I ordered the pineapple fried rice.

Yelp
The best takeout food, the only Thai food that's worth while in mpls. Nong's has the same menu as coconut Thai in Edina and St. Paul. I would argue that Nong's has slightly better food. Panang curry is a must. Honorable mention to the cream cheese wontons

Yelp
I have lived near Nong's for a while and finally was able to go there for dinner, we will definitely be back! All of our food was incredibly fresh, and the staff were all very attentive. We ordered the fresh spring rolls, they were great & I would order them again. My mom and I shared the Thai stir-fried cashews with shrimp, it was delicious! It was the perfect amount of food for us to split...I just wish I had leftovers for tomorrow because it was so good!
