Illegal Food Pop-Ups at Second Self Beer | Eater Atlanta

"A casual trattoria by day and dance club by night on Edgewood Avenue, Noni’s Del celebrated its tenth anniversary with a big blowout that included a dunk tank and a DJ, and the party went well into the wee hours." - Beth McKibben

Google
Would have rated 3 stars, but it took 18min AFTER I lost patience for us to even pay the bill, which is why I dropped to 2 stars. My husband got the skillet, which he enjoyed but said it wasn't anything special. I got the cachapa and a side of potatoes (they were unable to provide the side of beans I requested). The cachapa is an acquired taste. I did not enjoy the sweet and cheesy combination, but my husband thinks its okay in a small quantity. The potatoes had no seasoning so they really weren't even worth it to have to salt myself. The walls and condiments were dirty. Overall pretty disappointing to pay to eat out and you don't leave satisfied or full. Wouldn't come back or recommend but my husband said he would probably have the skillet again.

Google
Great place, food was amazing and great service. Coffee was super strong, if like it strong. I took some pictures to share and give you an Idea. Hopefully this will be of help someone trying to find a place to eat. I and my family give it 4.9, we like it!!!

Google
The food took almost 35 minutes, I ordered veggie omelette which came with a lot of grease in it. The eggs were made separately and the tomatoes, spinach, peppers and onions were put on top. I guess a different style of omelette. The French Toast barely had any eggs on it as you can see on the pictures. At first I thought it was just a regular toast. To summarize, I did not enjoy that breakfast.

Google
Hidden Gem in Melissa! Its a combination of Brunch and Venezuelan cuisine! We met up with family here and everyone got something they liked! We had the Peach crepes, the Monte Cristo, the Cachapa with Pork, and Taqueños! We showed up at 7pm and brunch at 7pm is great!! Shoutout to Chaunasey (hope I spelled that right) who made us feel at home! Highly recommend this place!

Google
I was very satisfied with our visit at this restaurant because the atmosphere was welcoming and our server, Kristin was very kind, helpful, and efficient in taking our order. The portioning of the food was fair and well portioned. I would recommend this place for a good brunch spot. What I believe was the owner made sure we were satisfied throughout our visit. Highly recommended !

Google
The brunch was absolutely amazing! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was outstanding — everyone was so friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. Highly recommend it, we will definitely be coming back!!!

Google
We discovered this new brunch spot in Melissa while celebrating Mother’s Day, and it turned out to be a great experience. We arrived during peak hours, but everything ran smoothly—no long wait, and the staff was friendly and attentive from the start. We tried a little bit of everything: refreshing sangria, fluffy pancakes, a unique masa panini filled with flavorful Mexican-style chorizo and chicken, and a cheesy quesadilla. Every dish was well-prepared, tasty, and served hot. You can tell the ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were on point. The restaurant itself is cozy, very clean, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. It’s definitely a place we’ll be returning to for breakfast or brunch. A hidden gem in the heart of Melissa!

Google
Great Find! I have been here twice. The service is great. The atmosphere is cozy. The food is the star. Great menu options. Looking forward to trying more items on the menu. First visit: Chachapas: 7/10 the corn cake was moist and fluffy. Actual corn kernels in the mix. Cheesy gooey goodness. I could not eat it all but glad I tried an authentic dish. The pork was sort of dry, not as enjoyable. Pastelitos: chicken (8/10) spring (9/10) both flavorful and appropriately stuffed. Flakey crust steals the show. Chicken and waffles: 9/10 both were delish. Fluffy waffle. Crispy and tasty chicken. Second visit: Chilaquiles: 10/10 packed with flavor. Great ingredients. Party of delicious flavors in your mouth. Every ingredient present and so well developed. Love the freshness of the Avocado in the bite. Special Breakfast: 10/10 simple but good. Everything is fresh. Bacon was the star... good quality, crispy and flavorful.

Yelp
From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm, inviting welcome that instantly makes you feel at home. The decor is modern yet cozy, with charming details that create the perfect setting for a relaxing brunch with family or friends. The food? Phenomenal. Every dish we've tried has been delicious, fresh, and beautifully plated. The French toast is a must-try because it is perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Their savory options like the avocado toast and breakfast tacos are equally amazing. You can tell everything is made with love and high-quality ingredients. The service is just as impressive as the food and setting. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to be there. They go above and beyond to make sure your experience is top-notch

Yelp
Located in a shopping center. We were greeted with a smile from the hostess and the server. The fresh OJ was delicious but our coffee was like warm at best. The coffee was probably old in the pot. Ordered hash browns. Good portion but missing the top layer being crispy so they did not have any texture. Waffles tasted like the hotel's waffles. The floors near us were dirty and there were only 5 tables when arrived. Have another star because my wife liked the crepes. Very transactional once we were being served so it felt awkward. If I go back, I'll update the experience. They probably need some time open to get better. Food also did not come out together.

Yelp
I so badly wanted to enjoy this place, but after 2 visits with minimal service and food that literally tastes like the kitchen is allergic to seasonings, I just cannot find anything positive to say. Save yourself disappointment and drive literally anywhere else for breakfast.

Yelp
So hands down my favorite breakfast spot in Melissa and I'm not entirely always a breakfast fan. I'm still waiting on them to get their espresso machine, but the food here is great. I love that they have Venezuelan menu options as well. I recently tried their cachapas with fried pork and it was amazing. It's like a really great sweet corn pancake with cheese in the middle. And the pork was cooked and seasoned nicely. Definitely try this place out.

Yelp
Tried a new spot in Melissa, went early and there was no wait. Cute interior! Everything was good. Service was attentive, food was quick. Normal breakfast.
google avatar

Erik M.

Yelp
They are so rude. Customer service is horrible. They don't listen. For example, told them the coffe is really strong can you switch it and she looked at me and said okay and didn't do anything. I ordered the avocado toast and they put sour cream and asked her to please remake it without sour cream and she got so upset. Not coming again.
google avatar

Lauren M.

Yelp
Cute new spot! Service was spot on and so was the food. Generous portions. We got the capachas, chilaquiles, and a kids plate with a bear face pancake for my son. Everything was so good! We will be back.

Lisa P.

Yelp
Best kept secret in Melissa. Breakfast sausage gravy and Homemade Biscuits a Must!! The coffee is fabulous! No need for creamer! Family run!! Can be a little loud but worth it!!
google avatar

Lochie D.

Yelp
Food was impeccable! Service was outstanding. Ambiance is casual & clean. Coffee is banging! OJ is freshly squeezed

Yelp
We had high hopes for this restaurant! We wanted to LOVE it, but it was disappointing. We waited for about 30 minutes for our food when there were plenty of staff memebers walking around. I thought the food would salvage our experience, but unfortunately it was cold when it arrived at our table and other specific requests were not met. The staff was super nice, but the quality of their food did not match.
google avatar

Meiyunn D.

Yelp
Food was a 6 out of 10. The quality of food is excellent just my steak was under cooked twice and eggs were too.. I think it's a cute little treat for the locals

Yelp
We stopped on our way to Oklahoma for breakfast. Upon entering this charming space, the staff is warm and welcoming, that falls short to the amazing food they make. Their menu; including their weekly special is a true restatement to the region / country where it comes from. Such as the sweet corn patty filled with delicious salty cheese known as Chapapas Venezolanas, the ever delicious Birria Tacos & chilaquiles which often tends to be saggy were crisp, tasty & out of this world. This place is worth driving from Prosper anytime of the day.

Yelp
New hidden gem in Melissa. Great place, great food, great service both times we've been there. Kudos!

Yelp
I was really excited to try this place. Unfortunately once will be enough. Service was just awful and the food was only okay. To be fair I arrived at 2pm on a Saturday and they close at 2:30. When I walked in there was one other customer and atleast 4-5 employees who were at the back talking. Took a few minutes for anyone to acknowledge my presence or seat me. Once seated I waited several minutes for anyone to come take my drink order. I wanted to respect their close time so I was ready with my meal order as well. It took about 7 minutes to get the cup of coffee I ordered. It was lukewarm. I politely asked if perhaps a new pot could be made. The server said that would not be possible and there would also be no refills. She did not offer to take it off my check. She finally offered to microwave the one cup of coffee available. Food was okay however the pork was so dry that if it had not come with a dip and lime juice I don't know if I could have eaten it. No one checked to see if I was happy with the meal. Had to wait several minutes after finishing to get the check. Still no offer to remove the coffee. There were a couple of friendly employees in the restaurant but my server was not one of them. Overall, pretty disappointing. There are so many restaurants in the area doing a great job, that I won't bother with this one again.

Julie R.

Yelp
The food was delicious. The menu had a lot of choices and some unique fun choices. The food has a Venezuelan influence. I had eggs, hash browns, avocado toast w crumbled cheese and optional tajin. My friend had a big sweet corn pancake w Venezuelan cheese inside. We will come back w our husbands. They are open 3 nights a week for dinner in addition to their daytime hours. Also, our server was so kind and helpful.

Courtney G.

Yelp
Came into the Brunch after haveing a day procedure and fasting, just coming around for being under antheasia with a dear friend of mine. Craving my favorite fried eggs, chicken and home fries. The food was great, eggs just right! Well while ordering our waitresses was so unprofessional, she was having the hardest time letting me have chicken breast instead of their choices, the faces alone she was making at me were unbelievable, like I was asking her something so outlandish! However when I got my meal the chicken was so dry and burnt awful. Ate my food and left immediately, never will I return. To such an experience making me feel less because I prefer grilled chicken breast with my eggs.

Aryn S.

Yelp
The wait to be seated took about 15 minutes, which was impressive since people were waiting outside when we pulled up. The food took probably about 15 minutes to come out. Not a big deal considering how busy they get! Chocolate milk (not pictured) is creamy and thick, which I love. I didn't see an iced coffee on the menu so I just asked and they made me one! I added in a hazelnut creamer from the table to sweet it up and it was great! The eggs and hash browns were good! I love a slightly crispy hash brown. The avocado toast was good, but would be great in sourdough bread! The pancakes were very dry. Next time I would try the crepes or french toast instead. About $50 for everything

Elena B.

Yelp
The food here is very flavorful! Love the pork with cachapas, especially when paired with one of their yummy, sweet breakfasts like the berry crepes.

Lawrence B.

Yelp
My wife and I look for good places to have breakfast on Sunday before church. We saw Noni's an tried it on Betty's birthday on 17 April. Service was very good. The food was ample and tasty. They even had blackberry jam on the table (I give an extra star for that). Entrees were a little large and heavy on carbs for us old folks. Would like to see options without potatoes. We enjoyed our meal. We will be back.
google avatar

Mindi M.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible! We tried a bit of everything and not a single disappointment! Incredible service, very clean, and most importantly TASTY food! Run, don't walk to Noni's!!!
google avatar

Roger G.

Yelp
Ambiance was fine..about the same as most breakfast places located in a strip center. I've been here twice...food doesn't blow me away but prob need to try a few more things. Portions are very good though. Service is the one thing that needs work. Maybe they were shorthanded that day but one waitress's for about 12 tables. Had to ask to order but food was quick once I did. Would prob give a 3.7 if fractions allowed. Would come again though.

Amy L.

Yelp
This place is amazing! The food was great, portion size awesome and service is WAY above par. They also serve Mimosas for brunch. We came for breakfast / brunch / lunch but they also do dinner - which we will be checking out!
google avatar

Nancy M.

Yelp
It's new and clean. The waitperson was attentive. It's a bit pricy - but the portions are very large. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The first order that came up was not hot by the time it arrived at the table. We were offered coffee or water to go.

Glory P.

Yelp
Horrible customer service very slow and uncoordinated.Took over an hour to take our order and all we have gotten were glasses of water.
google avatar

J P.

Yelp
Not a big brunch person, but was very surprised. I ordered the chilaquiles with chorizo, so flavorful. I compare other chorizo dishes to this one and have not successfully liked another one like I enjoyed this dish.
google avatar

Christal E.

Yelp
I'm coming back! We ate so fast because it all looked delicious that we forgot to take pics.
google avatar

Mariann S.

Yelp
Definitely a new go-to place for us! The place is clean. The service is great. The food is extraordinary! I had everyone at my table try my waffles -- I've never had waffles that seemed filled with air! They were AMAZING.
google avatar

Larry H.

Yelp
I cannot speak highly enough about Noni's. We had a 2 game break on a Sunday morning baseball tournament, not only did Noni's accommodate a very large party, the food was fantastic. Finally, as you may imagine, a table with 12 12 year olds, we were a bit disorganized, staff was super patient and friendly. Don't miss this place!

Nick E.

Yelp
Great food with a friendly atmosphere! This is a family run restaurant that has friendly and welcoming service. They make you feel part of the family and always have a few unique dishes. The breakfast is great but their dinner is outstanding. Highly recommend the Tequenos (cheese sticks) and the Patacon for one of the best meals in all of North Dallas.

Sonia P.

Yelp
Food was delicious! Went in with 10 family members and they were able to seat us all. We all got different plates and everything we all got was delicious. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Leo M.

Yelp
The place looks very new & nice inside. The food was pretty good and the service was a little slow but they seemed to be overwhelmed with it being their first Sunday open and having the entire restaurant full. I'm sure once they get the kinks worked out the system will improve

Erin M.

Yelp
I've been twice, wonderful both times. Food was yummy! Hubby agrees! ..... Great service!

Netty L.

Yelp
What an amazing find in Melissa! We are new to the area and hoped for a local breakfast restaurant and we found it! Noni was our server and from the moment we walked in until we left, she made us feel like family. We ordered Brisket Skillet and Apple Pecan French toast. Both dishes were absolutely fantastic. From savory to sweet, the food is delicious! Everyone is working hard to create a great environment for their customers and it shows. Keep up the great work - we are your newest fans!

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
Great omelettes! Clean and inviting atmosphere with friendly wait staff. We are looking forward to going back again.
google avatar

Tonia W.

Yelp
I'm so glad we have a new breakfast place to go to in the Melissa area. The service was great! We had the sweetest server. The food was fresh and delicious. They even gave my son a surprise! A bear pancake. We look forward to going back and trying out other items on the menu!
google avatar

Jim L.

Yelp
Excellent experience overall! Considering this place has only been open for a month, they're really poised for success. Hard working, friendly staff from top to bottom. The menu has a lot of interesting options. Brisket skillet and Apple French toast. Both were truly amazing! Reasonable pricing and inviting environment! Can't wait to try more menu items next time! Very satisfied!

Kemba R.

Yelp
I LOVE LOVE the grits!! As a southern girl, good grits are important to me. This is by far the only spot cooking grits right! They are creamy, tender and delicious! I do add salt though! And man oh man they have thick cut bacon here! There is only one other spot in DFW that has this bacon! It's my favorite. I am on my 20th visit soooo that says a lot. Love the staff. Everyone is pleasant and a delight to chat with. Food always comes out as fresh is possible with good presentation. Love the feel of the place its cozy and quiet and always clean. Cleanliness is important when you walk in a business. Makes you feel like your food will be cooked in the most sanitary environment possible. Love this place and will continue to visit as long as I am living in the area

Bailey M.

Yelp
Been here multiple times now and always great food, friendly staff and such a cute atmosphere. Quick service and never had to wait for long. Love this addition to the town!!

Cheri M.

Yelp
The food is absolutely delicious. My husband and I are definitely gonna be coming back here. For anybody who lives near or around Melissa, Texas, highly recommend this restaurant.

Kourtney J.

Yelp
I called around 2:15 to see if they would still seat us and the lady said of course. Super friendly, great food, & cute clean atmosphere. 10/10

Jorge A.

Yelp
The service and the food is available. Its a little out of the way for me but worth the trip. They have a holiday plate that had alot of food which is a venezolana holiday tradicional plate (the owners are venezolanos) which include a venezolano tamal called a hallacas, also on the plate has some pork and chicken salad and a bread filled ham. Super delicious. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Noni's Brunch House is a hidden gem which exceeded all expectations!! despite being newly opened, this restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience that left me thoroughly impressed. The attentive staff were not only kind, but also incredibly intuitive, their efficiency and warmth made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. Now, lets talk about the star of the show- the food. each dish was presented with generous portions that even the heartiest appetite would be satisfied. its clear that the kitchen takes pride in using high-quality ingredients and preparing them with skill and creativity. while Noni's Brunch House may be new to the scene, its already performing at a exceptional level. I left feeling not just satisfied, but genuinely excited about my discovery. This restaurant deserves to be packed, and I have no doubt it soon will be as word spreads. Don't wait to try Noni's Brunch House this is more than just a meal; it's a celebration of exceptional food, service, and ambiance. trust me you'll be planning your next visit before you've even finished your first!! Noni's Brunch House has just opened its doors, it's already showing great promise. I'm excited to see how they'll evolve over the coming months, especially as they fine-tune their offerings to become a standout brunch destination!!

O R.

Yelp
This is my new favorite resturant. The servings are big. Delicious and flavourful food. The Chilaquiles Brisket is my favorite. The staff and owner are sincerely nice people! Love the ambiance and location.

Farmhouse T.

Yelp
We are so glad that we stopped in here for breakfast! The staff are great and the food is wonderful. Traditional and unexpected choices -- excellent

Krista N.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday morning with 5 people. I can't recommend enough. Wonderful service and a very knowledgeable staff. I had the cinnamon churro waffles. They split them and added a wonderful cinnamon mixture inside. Incredible. Music was soft and didn't interfere with the conversation. Don't wait to enjoy this great Melissa addition.

Terry M.

Yelp
A new restaurant opened 4 mos ago. Noni is owner so it is named after her. So good. Food is great service is AMAZING. Check it out!!

Logan A.

Yelp
we sat there for 35 minutes and all we got was water bad waiter she did not really understand us
