The 14 Best Restaurants in Pleasanton - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"The Nonni’s menu pulls from across Europe, but the common thread in most of its dishes–as well as the cozy, sun-drenched space–is pure comfort. The baked goat cheese crepe is tangy and rich, and the beef stroganoff, with silky mushroom sauce, tastes like it was made by an Eastern European grandma who happened to attend French culinary school. If you also find comfort in being financially responsible, stop in between 4 and 6 PM for their Hygge menu, and get huge portions of savory risotto carbonara and grilled pork belly over polenta for $17 or less. And Sunday visits are in order for the live jazz." - gabi moskowitz

First, I wish to say Nonni's wait staff is first class. This restaurant is unique in its setting. The restaurant has an inside dining that feels like you are eating outdoors. The front windows fully open. The night we went, Michelle Lambert was performing - her music was terrific. My adult children were excited to see Michelle perform (a local SF Bay performer). Our group had the halibut (the night's special), steak and frites, and croque madame. The food was delicious. The very friendly owner was welcoming and came by our table to ensure everything was perfect. Please do give Nonni's Bistro a try. We don't believe you will be disappointed.

I decided to try this place for my 32nd birthday dinner with my family. We had a really nice time at the restaurant they had a wide variety of drinks and a pretty diverse menu for being a small little bistro. I also enjoyed the fact that the restaurant was very baby friendly they had a restroom with a nice changing table and it helped with changing my 6 month old daughter. I thought the ambiance and food was really nice and peaceful. I got to enjoy my first glass of wine because I am no longer breastfeeding and our waiter was very helpful. My poor husband was feeding the baby and he offered to hold the bottle for us and that was very sweet and helpful . I would definitely come back to this place in the future because the service was friendly and the food was really good . I had salmon and each one of my family members tried something different on the menu so we had a very broad and positive experience. The only downside is the inside restaurant doesn’t have room for strollers so that is why we sat outside.

Google
What a wonderful experience! Excellent food; the lamb chops were perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful with an excellent balance of accouterments, the cocktail was refreshing, a perfect beer pairing with dessert! The service was very attentive and meticulous with great presentation!

Google
This is a wonderful place to have lunch with a friend. The atmosphere is very comfortable, the service impeccable, and the food is first rate. Did not even fuss about my special request for my hamburger. and I really love the coffee cups with great coffee after lunch!

Google
Tried this place for brunch and had a mixed experience. Ordered the Scandinavian Benedict, and unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The dish was overwhelmed with onions, and the fish had an overpowering smell that made it hard to enjoy. Definitely not the best execution of a Benedict I’ve had. On the bright side, the French toast was great—fluffy, flavorful, and well-balanced with the toppings. Service was decent, but overall, the food was hit or miss. Might come back for the sweet dishes, but wouldn’t recommend the Benedict.

Google
Amazing , we went as walk in , and what a lovely and amazing experience , we fell I. Love with this place . They did ask us to have the table ready in 1 hour that was a bit uncomfortable . Felt a bit rush.

Google
We enjoyed a delicious vegetarian dinner there. Manuel provided excellent service. The outdoor seating was cozy initially, though it became a little chilly later in the evening.

Google
Fun live music the night we were there. Crowded, but they had a spot for us as a walkin . The food was pretty good. The French onion soup was a little watery. Salmon and steak salad were ok but expected more.

Yelp
Was in town visiting and went to the farmers market downtown. After grabbing a few groceries it was time to eat! This whole block is filled with restaurants/cafes it was so hard to choose. We ended up deciding on Nonni's just based off of reviews and how many stars it had on here. The inside was cute and the staff was friendly for sure, made sure to answer any questions we had about the menu. The food was decent, might just not have been my cup of tea. I ordered the Spanish omelette, though it wasn't giving "omelette". It was more so all the cooked fillings were hiding under a thick blanket layer of egg (rather than like inside a pocket like a normal omelette) flavors were good though, nothing here was nasty. Just didn't blow my mind how the reviews said it would. My partner ordered the cheese blintzes and she liked them. Overall, like I said this could just be my own taste buds of course nothing was nasty just regular & left us feeling like we could've walked into any of the other places down there and been more satisfied.

Yelp
This restaurant is very unique in it setting. The restaurant has an inside dining that feels like you are eating outdoors. The front windows fully open. They also have outside dining. Pleasanton has many great restaurants. This is one we have forgotten about and decided we need to reintroduce Nonni's into our restaurants that we frequent often. The food was delicious, the very friendly and very professional, the owner was very welcoming and the live music was excellent. Live music are on Fridays and Sunday evenings. We started out with cocktails, our dinners were: cobb salads, mushroom ravioli and hamburger. All were yummy. Please do give Nonni's Bistro a try in Pleasanton.

Yelp
2.5 Stars The service and the interior of the restaurant were great! Our waiter was very nice, attentive, and helpful, answering all our questions about the menu. The food however, was very disappointing. With the price point and high quality energy of the restaurant we expected the food to be much better. First the bread and butter. While shaped like a beautiful rose, the butter was quite hard and difficult to spread. The rolls were warm and soft but not as flavorful as I would have expected. We got the baked oysters to start, and they were the worst thing about the meal by far. Once you finished the delicious toasted cheese on top, the oyster tasted like feet. They were wayy too fishy, and seemed quite old. For dinner I ordered the Penne Pasta, which came hot but lacked any real flavor outside of the basic tomato sauce. The parm did not melt at all into the pasta, and I could have done better by grating my own at home. My partner got the lamb. Which originally caused confusion, as we had two different prices for it on our menus. His stated it was $26 while mine had it at $49. With these vastly different prices we asked the waiter, who informed us that the more expensive price was the new "lamb chops" while his was the old "lamb patty." They were able to give him the original version which we appreciated. The lamb was a bit overcooked but otherwise he enjoyed his meal. The drinks were delicious, and they had a wide variety to choose from! With the cost of the meal, the food did not measure up. However, the waiter and the drinks were great!

Yelp
Stopped by downtown Pleasanton during "Weekends on Main" street fest, the road closed to vehicles creating a lovely and inviting atmosphere filled with adorable shops and eateries. Among this is Nonni's Bistro which was by far the most captivating establishment on the block this past Sunday. Gunhild Carling was performing live music during dinner time, that could be heard from afar, unique renditions of songs like Hello Dolly! as well as her classic march through the crowd with band members playing their instruments to the tune of When the Saints Go Marching In. The seating here is a bit tight, but they made it work. The musicians actually walked out into the street (Main Street closed to traffic for the street fest), and still squeezed themselves through the tables inside. She even took song requests from guests. I say it time and time again, Gunhild Carling is a remarkable performer, and I never get tired of her shows. Plus I think she performs at Nonni's regularly, her beautiful artwork is even displayed on the wall. No surprise, it was a full house both inside and outdoors when I came by this past weekend for dinner. I sat at the bar (it's small with only four seats), and the restaurant had its storefront windows opened up so guests could enjoy the live entertainment from inside too. Service was great as well. Staff was friendly and accommodating, and there were ample employees running around helping customers. I didn't encounter any unreasonable wait times, even with how busy the place was. For food, I ordered the croque madam with french onion soup as the side. The soup was delish, with the sweetness of caramelized onions in the savory broth, combined with the nutty flavor from the melted layer of cheese on top, it was yummy. The sandwich was even better, large in size, filled with thick slices of ham and lots of melted cheese, a runny egg on top, and flavorful toast that somehow stayed crisp on the bottom through my entire meal, with the taste of crispy cheese at the edges. Wow, I think I found my new favorite dish!

Yelp
I am here for Porsches on Main and Nonni's seems to be the only place open. I went for "The Valley" omelette composed of sauteed spinach, bacon, mushrooms and cheddar cheese accompanied by a generous house salad and an English muffin. Service was prompt and efficient and the quality and quantity of ingredients were top notch. I appreciate that they do not over salt the omelette in the kitchen but instead provided both pepper and salt grinders at each table. Too many restaurants these days do not do this and instead over salt your food without your consent. Well done Nonni's. Keep up the good work.

Yelp
The best European inspired restaurant in the area! Our favorites: French onion soup & goat cheese crepe. Their Mimosa pitcher is awesome! Great vibe and ambience. Staff is always prompt and courteous. Live music on Sundays. Nonnis is definitely a gem in the beautiful Pleasanton downtown!

Yelp
Visited for a weekday lunch and was quickly greeted with a friendly welcome. Small, simple menu and ordered: :: Seasonal Fish Pot - this was delicious with salmon, mussels, shrimp in a tomato-based broth similar to a cioppino which I love. The accompanying garlic-cheese toast was perfect! :: Filetto Sandwich - grilled beef sirloin with onion, mushrooms caramelized onions, greens, aioli on ciabatta - tender pieces of beef and yummy Service was friendly and efficient. Place is cozy and cute with outdoor parklet for dining. Will have to visit for dinner and the live music.

Yelp
Definitely one of the cuter brunch spots in downtown Pleasanton, but it's really only worth it (IMO) if you're able to snag the indoor table right by their patio doors- that spot has the best view/ambiance. I've tried the protein scramble, egg white omelette, and William's Pot; all were solid but nothing particularly memorable. The food is standard breakfast fare. One downside: it gets pretty loud inside. Decent choice if you're in the area but not a must-visit.

Yelp
Came here after the Pleasanton Run for Education! Gotta say the ambiance was nice. Very cute interior. Service was very quick but with that being said, we were rushed. They took us as a "walk-in" but let us know we only had about 1 hour and 20 minutes to dine. So I did feel like I couldn't really enjoy my time with friends. The food was pretty tasty, can't say it was bad at all! But I wouldn't say it was anything spectacular. I would say decent portion for price. I would come back and try some other dishes. The coffee was good though, brewed very well.

Yelp
Cute little restaurant in downtown Pleasanton, my friends and I weren't super hungry so decided to go with the cup of soup and roasted vegetable sandwich. While they both were looking forward to the French onion soup, I'm not a fan so tried their root vegetable soup, which was delicious. The roasted vegetable sandwich was a healthy size so after eating half I had to take leftovers home and had it with an egg the next morning. Staff was friendly and the owner or manager said thanks and goodbye when we left.

Yelp
It was 100 degrees outside. By the time I parked and walked a few blocks to the restaurant, I was hot and needed some water. It was 12:30 and the place was hopping. The tables inside are placed pretty close to each other. I actually could not get into my chair as there was someone right behind me so we had to move the table over. Our kind server brought us small glasses of ice water and left us a carafe of water with mint inside. It was refreshing and hit the spot. The menu is large and varied with breakfast items like pancakes, french toast, omelettes, benedicts as well as some healthy alternatives. We both ordered the chiccone (chicken) sandwich with no onions. It's a grilled chicken breast with roasted red peppers, onions and jack cheese on a ciabatta bun. You have a choice of fries, salad or soup and we both decided on the salad with their basil vinaigrette. The greens were fresh and crisp and the vinaigrette was delicious and light. We expected the restaurant to be busy since it was a Saturday and a short distance from the Farmer's Market. We had a very pleasant meal even though people were bustling around us. We could chat comfortably and we both thoroughly enjoyed our flavorful lunches. They also have outside dining in front of the restaurant.

Yelp
Felt like sitting outside sipping some cocktails so I looked up and found this spot. Service was friendly but food did not meet my expectation. French onion soup was bland and duck dish was so overpriced. Nice part was there was live band for you.

Yelp
What a charming bistro on a street full of many restaurants to choose from. I'm glad we stopped in. The place was packed which is usually a sign of good food and this was no exception. We both had Williams Pot served in a cute yellow bowl/pot. Everything is layered so I'd recommend stirring before you dive in. Wish I'd thought to do that because all the goodies were at the bottom of the bowl. I'd definitely stop in again when I'm in the area.

Yelp
We decided to go there to have drinks and listen to the music on Sunday night we ended up eating there as well and the food and drinks were wonderful! Service, food, drinks & music all 5 stars!

Rebeka C.

Yelp
Service was pleasant and very friendly, food was very solid! A little pricy but very filling. Dessert for the rolled ice cream was fantastic and highly recommended.

Yelp
Great food and wonderful service. Went here for dinner and love the ambience of the place, felt homey. The lamb melted like butter and the mashed potatoes behind it was light that complemented it. The complimentary bread was delicious, had a nice crust exterior and fluffy inside. I also got myself an old fashioned that tasted delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for lunch and there was no wait. I ordered a burger and the French onion soup. The burger was really tasty as the meat was juicy and tender but the bread was a little hard. The French onion soup wasn't that great as it didn't really have flavor and the onion wasn't cooked enough. The cheese was also pretty bland. I would give the burger an 8/10 and the soup a 6/10.

Yelp
Cute spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is around the corner or street parking. Service was good, came by quite a few times to make sure everything was to our liking. The Williams pot was good, but quite greasy towards the bottom. The cheese blintze was delicious. Nice soft texture that melts in your mouth and the berries with the glaze is just to die for. I would go back for those alone. Had some drinks that were great for the time we came. It was refreshing.

Yelp
We sat outside here on a lovely day and enjoyed our lunches! I had the mussels and fries and my husband had the turkey club sandwich. Service was very friendly.

Yelp
I was headed to a comedy show and I met a couple of friends here with my wife and had a late dinner, but I found everything was excellent. I really enjoyed the shrimp provincial appetizer and I believe I had. The duck duck duck was delicious to breast medium well and I could've been more pleased. The ambience was very nice this evening. We sat outside and it was very pleasant, there's a picture of the owner who came by and check to see how we were doing. I look forward to going here again and I would highly recommend Noni's bistro on Main Street in Pleasanton .

Yelp
Nonni's is a great breakfast and brunch place. This time my friends and I decided to come for the dinner. I ordered the steak salad and my friends ordered the prawn moqueca and steak. Everything came out with beautiful presentation. My friend loved the prawns and potato dumplings. She said the sauce had great flavor and the prawns were fresh. They were cooked to perfection. Our server was kind and checked on us routinely. He filled our waters and made sure we had bread when we were running low. We went on a friday night which they had a live singer. We really enjoyed a nice relaxing atmosphere and the live music was very enjoyable.

Yelp
My husband, our daughter and I came here on my husband's birthday back in May. A chef was walking around and happily saying hello to the customers. All the employees were incredibly friendly and helpful. There was indoor and outdoor seating and the front was very open. The night we went we got to hear live music from out in front. There are pictures of horses on the walls in black and white, sepia, etc. My husband got the duck. He said it was okay. It was cooked well. However, the sauce was a little too acidic and there wasn't enough blue cheese for his liking. Our daughter got pasta. She, as usual, seemed to really enjoy her food. I got the salmon with a butter sauce. It came on a bed of beans and vegetables. It was the softest, flakiest, tastiest, and overall best salmon I think I have ever had. It's certainly a drive, but I do hope to get back there sometime.

Yelp
Nonni's Bistro is a family favorite of ours. Whenever we are in the area we try to stop by. We happened to be in the area Sunday morning and opted for brunch. My group chose to sit in the outdoor patio as the weather was amazing outside. The staff was great! I had the Williams Pot with sourdough bread and it was delicious. The portion was huge and I wasn't able to eat it all. Nonni's Bistro never disappoints. I look forward to my next meal here.

Yelp
We came here for Father's Day with friends and it was lovely. We had bottomless Mimosas and the food was amazing. The service was prompt and courteous and we will go back.
google avatar

Lindsey Z.

Yelp
We went here for dinner the other night and it was just okay. The ambiance was great and our service was wonderful but the food was average. My son ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes and he liked it. However my beef stroganoff was not good. The steak was chewy and had a overwhelming mushroom taste. Haven't tried their brunch so maybe I'll give that a try.
google avatar

Mia W.

Yelp
My Nana and I love their salads. Our favorites are grilled salmon fresh salad and the cobb salad. Their salads are always fresh and proteins are delicious. We order for pick up. They always honor our requests such as extra dressing and rosemary bread. Nonni's is our go to place for fresh, delicious, perfectly portioned salad... Also, the rosemary bread is served warm and it is delightful...

Bhoomai R.

Yelp
The servers and waiters were quick to take order. The ambiance, was perfect with the sitting, lighting, and the soft music. The food was delicious and worth the prices and the wait. Cant wait to go back to try other items in the menu..

A W.

Yelp
Came here with a group after attending an event down the street. I got a chiccone sandwich (grilled chicken), which was actually pretty good. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food too. Service was good, and their outdoor seating is probably better than sitting inside. Only thing that I'm not crazy about is the prices seem to be on the high side for what I would want to pay for lunch at a bistro. It's not the biggest ripoff in downtown Pleasanton, but I'd like this place a lot more if it was a few dollars cheaper.
google avatar

Sabine M.

Yelp
This place is nice and has a cute outdoor eating area. Their breakfast and brunch menu is nice and has a ton of options. We chose their protein option and huevos rancheros and both dishes were good. The team was really friendly as well, definitely a nice breakfast spot.
google avatar

Anna R.

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite place in Pleasanton for Sunday brunch. But their food is amazing every other day too. Here is tonight's dinner.
google avatar

Elsa C.

Yelp
Smallest thing that's actually so significant: their orange juice was probably the most authentic, orange-only juice I've tasted. It's so tart it makes your mouth pucker because it doesn't taste like there's any added sugar. It's so fresh. Sorry to rant about the orange juice lol. Everything else was good too! We ordered two Scandinavian Benedicts, a side of one pancake and some house potatoes. Benedicts didn't blow me away but they were enjoyable; lots of salmon too! Service was attentive and the tables were so cute; they had little flower mason jars on them! Pancake was good but idk if it was worth the cost. Strawberries were a nice touch!

Yelp
Nonni's Bistro has a very warm vibe in downtown Pleasanton. Great service, friendly, efficient, personable....excellent food...warm herb rolls that taste like they just were baked, the sea bass has a lovely topping with feta and cucumbers and fingerling potatoes. the pork chop was lovely with a great sauce over the polenta and perfectly cooked asparagus. the desert crepe with the birthday candle was like a big sparkler, so much fun, and video-worthy. We just loved it. Excellent wine too. A cabernet franc that was so smooth on the palette. Grazie Mille. We are going back very soon.

Yelp
Nonni's is a quaint little restaurant in downtown Pleasanton. It seems clean but a bit dated. The service is friendly but a tad bit slow. The food took a long time to come out. I don't think they ever came back to check on us after delivering food. That said, the food was good. The awesome burger was awesome. Good flavor and well cooked. The salmon pasta was well prepared with smoked salmon. Our friends got the curried egg salad sandwiches and they seemed happy with it. They also apparently have fresh squeezed orange juice.
google avatar

John V.

Yelp
I like this place a lot. The coffee is good, food quality is good as well. The server Jose is always helping us and works his butt off. They make some (maybe all) of the bread items in-house. English muffins/ French toast etc. My favorite breakfast item is the Williams pot. It Comes with a good serving of potatoes with onion and spinach with two eggs on top. Bottomless mimosas offered. Nice seating outside on Main Street.
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
Dined here for Brunch on a Sunday. Arrived around 12:30pm and the place was pretty full so I was excited to try seeming how popular it was. Wait time for 2 of us fairly quick, I received the text within 10 minutes our table was ready. My friend and I both ordered the same dish, Huevos Racheros. Personally, there were way too many beans for my liking, but it wasn't bad. I would definitely return to try other dishes. My friend had a mimosa and I liked how it looked like it was more champagne than OJ, my type of mimosa! Place was pretty loud as they were large groups but noise didn't bother me!
google avatar

Yenn T.

Yelp
Packed for Easter brunch as expected. Got the tuna sandwich with a French onion soup. I really want to try the French onion soup, but it was lukewarm and lackluster. I think people order it because few places have it in their menu; def not their specialty. For a small restaurant there were lots of large parties there. Which made the restaurant super loud and overcrowded, could barely walk. Service was good except it felt rushed. Perhaps the wrong day to try out this place.
google avatar

Dianne P.

Yelp
Food is unbelievably good. I had the acorn squash with barley risotto and it was absolutely delicious. My husband had the lamb with beets and mashed potatoes and he doesn't normally eat beets but he ate these beets because they were so good. We had the marzipan ice cream for dessert and it was extra special. Definitely recommend this place. If we lived in the area we would definitely be back. Check it out you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Lily D.

Yelp
The quaint little restaurant exudes cute European vibes and is locally famous. I keep coming back for its warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff. I love the various pieces of art on the walls. I tried their Charbroiled Eggs, which was unexpected. It wasn't my favorite, but not something I would order again. The William's Pot, on the other hand, is a crowd favorite, but oh my, the portion was huge! It includes bacon, onions, cheese, potatoes, spinach, and eggs, all layered together. It was scrumptious and could easily be shared between two people! The Scandinavian dish, anything with smoked salmon, is a winner in my book. I'd love to make a dinner reservation one of these days, but definitely stop by for brunch while you're in Pleasanton!
google avatar

Kashyap J.

Yelp
This was our first official lunch date with our son in 2024. The place has a cute European vibes and is famous locally. We reached at 3 pm on a weekday so not many patrons in we were relieved to sit with our newborn. We ordered mushroom soup. Soup of the day. Which was delicious. Warm bread had rosemary ( I think) and was soft and right off the oven. I tried risotto and I would give it 3/5 for lack of some more texture. The lamb burger ordered by wife was juicy and flavorful. It was served on a bed of arugula leaves and bacon bits along with kidney beans. I would have appreciated if they could have removed our bacon on our request. But never the less it was pretty good itself. We didn't try any desserts or drinks but definitely a place worth revisiting!

Yelp
I have been coming to Nonni's for over 10 years and I will never stop. This is, hands down, one of the best restaurants in Northern California. I typically come here for breakfast/lunch/brunch but I would recommend it for any meal or any occasion. The food is delicious! I have never had something here that wasn't good. The cheese blintzes are a favorite of mine because I love the flavor and texture and also because they look different each time, beautifully decorated with seasonal fruit. Service is always good but they get very busy and it's obvious why. I wish that they would allow reservations for early meals but typically only dinner reservations are available; I assume it's because their bottomless mimosa brunch draws a lot of people. I prefer to dine outside it the weather permits, as it can get quite loud inside. For the level of what you get at Nonni's, the prices are reasonable and I always leave satisfied and smiling. Here's to 10 more years!

Yelp
First time to visit this place for brunch on Sunday , notice there were lots of people there so I believe this should be the gone one . Ordered smoked salmon omelette , with coffee . May be there were too busy this morning , we had to wait quiet a long time for the coffee and food arrived . however , the environment there was pretty comfortable to stay . The food was pretty good and quite big portion , and the salmon taste really fresh with good presentation in general . I would defiantly put this restaurant in my list

Yelp
Nice little restaurant in downtown Pleasanton, very nice decor and ambience. The place was not crowded on a Monday night although we had a reservation. The food tasted great with big portions. During the weekend, there would be live music playing.

Yelp
The service here was really friendly and I got seated right away on a Wednesday night. The restaurant interior was small but nice. The tables are put kind of close together so I could clearly hear other peoples conversations. Steak frites 3.5/5: The steak was seasoned well and I loved how it was stacked with caramelized onions. It was incredibly juicy, however it was a bit chewy. The fries were light and crispy. It also came with a bed of arugula which I enjoyed with the steak. I asked for medium rare and that's exactly how my steak came out. Molten lava cake 2/5: unfortunately, this was a huge let down. There was no runny chocolate in the middle. It had a weird sponge texture, but the ice cream and flavor of the cake was good. Would skip this next time. We also got asked if we wanted bread. They said it was freshly baked and the butter on the side came in the shape of a rose. The bread tasted a lot like rosemary and I wasn't a fan but great hospitality nevertheless.

Yelp
Located on Main Street, but they had blocked off all of Main for a parade/street fair. This was nice, as it allowed a lot of foot traffic to walk or bike around freely. Restaurant was crowded and busy during a Sunday breakfast/lunch. They have both indoor and outdoor seating options. Today was a gorgeous sunny day, breezy 61 degrees, so it was nice to enjoy the outdoors if you chose. House music was playing. Two bathrooms - non gender specific. The waiter was polite, patient, and helpful as he suggested a few dishes. He was very attentive. We ordered the Salmon Salad and unique dish of Charbroiled Eggs with British Banger. *Salmon Salad - mixed greens with slivers of red onion, boiled egg slivers, capers, in a lemon butter herb dressing. The salmon was cooked to perfection not overcooked like some places do. The dressing was sweet but not overly sweet. *Charbroiled Eggs with British Banger - definitely unique as the menu stated. The egg white part had a nice crispy edge like a Filipino fried egg. The yolk was cooked hard so it was firm but it actually worked in this dish. You could taste the smokiness of the charred egg white. Though, I kinda missed the nuances of this dish as I am a sucker for Pepper Plant Hot Sauce, so I smothered most of my eggs and potatoes in it. I know, I know. It's breakfast which always needs a zing!

Yelp
Such a cute spot in Downtown Pleasanton! The service, cocktails, and food were incredible!!! I had the tuna melt with french onion soup and my fiancé got the chicken sandwich with the french onion soup. The sandwiches were DELICIOUS but to be honest the soup wasn't my favorite and I wouldn't order it again. Im sure if I had something they would've offered fries or something instead but I was fine without it. Cant wait to come back here!!!

Yelp
The food was delicious the customer service was above and beyond. Definitely will be back SIDE NOTE the review below that complained about "Jose" is fabricated. We were seated next to them and my husband and I overheard them saying they wanted to get a free meal. They also DID GET THEIR DRINKS REFUNDED... so upsetting to see these very privileged kids attack a lovely business, really felt I really had to say something

Yelp
Nonni's Bistro is a cozy restaurant in downtown Pleasanton where the lights are turned down low and the tables' tea lights shine brightly. It's a good place for a date, a low-key birthday celebration, or a dinner with family. I came here with my family for dinner one evening. After we were seated, I ordered the baked acorn squash and helped myself to some complementary rosemary bread rolls and butter to pass the time. My food arrived just as we were finishing the bread rolls (good timing!). A plate of barley risotto, zucchini, carrots, and green beans all heaped on top of the acorn squash itself, I was ready to dig in. Although the risotto was drier than I would have liked, the barley was still buttery and the tender vegetables melted with flavor. I had a crème brûlée for dessert. Nonni's take on this French classic delighted me. The burnt cream crackled delicately as I broke the surface with a spoon. The cream carried citrus notes, and the chocolate bits and tart raspberries were a nice finish. Overall, a good experience at Nonni's. When I come back next time, I'll have to try another one of their dishes.
