Open very late into the night, this place serves mocotó, "the ultimate in broke-ass, drunk-ass peasant food. Slow-cooked cow’s foot and/ or other bits, tender and tasty, and believe me, one of my favorites, especially at this hour. We opt for the elite version, served with raw quail egg."
Tasty broth soup. There are stands in the shop where you stand to drink the soup and leave. One of the staff was super helpful. I speak no Portuguese and he fixed me up with the soup I wanted with minimal friction. The place has a unique vibe. It’s a place to have a beer, this soup, chat a but while standing, and maybe have some smoked meat bites and leave. I enjoyed the experience and the food!
