5 stars isn’t enough i need 20! Came in and was treated like family - they are like family! The pho brought my friend back to life!!! Come here anytime you are craving pho!!!

Google
Food was decent better than some other Vietnamese places I've tried. I did like the rolls. One thing I didn't like was that they didn't turn the AC on and when you're in 100° weather I think if someone's paying for their food the least you could do is turn the AC on so that they can enjoy their meal. It's family owned so the family basically sat in the dining room chilling like it was their living room lol

Google
Absolutely the best! I ordered this for delivery and it exceeded my expectations. Really generous portions, great quality and reasonably priced. If it was this good as a delivery, I can only imagine it fresh at the restaurant.

Affordable delicious comfort food!

I've been a patron of Noodle City for several years, but unfortunately, my recent visit left much to be desired—not due to the service or food, but because of the unpleasant behavior of fellow customers. While enjoying my meal, a family seated nearby seemed more interested in judging others than focusing on their own dining experience. They glared at anyone who made a sound, even when it was something as innocuous as slurping soup, which, in many Asian cultures, is actually considered polite and a compliment to the chef. Ironically, their own child was being quite disruptive, loudly demanding candy throughout dinner, yet they seemed oblivious to the double standard they were setting. It’s disappointing to see the atmosphere at Noodle City decline over the years. What was once a warm, welcoming environment now feels less enjoyable due to the rude and judgmental attitudes of some patrons. While I can’t fault the staff or the food, I hope the management can take steps to foster a more inviting and respectful dining experience for all.

Let’s get Phoked up tonight. I assure you, you’ll never looked back on a good Vietnamese style food. Without further ado let’s do this review. Noodle City is a small Vietnamese restaurant, located in a small plaza at Monterey Park. This restaurant is a bit run down just like most Vietnamese Pho restaurant in SGV area. I came here late afternoon to grab an early dinner. It was my first time here. Their indoor vibe was relaxing and spacious; it was almost empty when I dined-in. Interior design was modestly rundown with little to no decor on the wall. Noodle City has an extensive selection of food and drinks. After perusing their menu I ordered a Chà Giò (veggie roll-appetizer), Cóm Gà Xào (stir fried chicken rice) and lemonade. Food: Appetizers were warm, crispy and tasty. As well as the broken rice stir fried chicken. Drink: Lemonade was refreshing. Service: It’s mildly fast and on point. Prices: Affordable that won’t break your LV leather wallet. Staff: They’re patient, respectful and followed health protocol. Parking: Very limited given they’re in a small plaza. Overall, I had a good experience and food. I recommend this Vietnamese restaurant.

Google
as someone who used to come here often I don’t recommend it anymore they are very unprofessional and will ask personal questions about your family and will not stop asking even if you told them no, 5 times you can get better food in Rosemead honestly

Google
love the flavorful broth, tender meats, and fresh ingredients. It’s a go-to place for a satisfying bowl of pho that will leave you craving more. Don’t miss out on this great pho spot at Noodle City!

Yelp
I was really impressed with the quality and taste of the pho here. I ordered the seafood pho and the portion was generous. The broth was flavorful and didn't need to be doctored. Noodles were cooked perfectly. The egg rolls were good but not my favorite of all time. The pickled vegetables were a nice touch. The menu is extensive. There was so much to choose from and I will definitely be back to try other dishes. Food came out fast and the ambiance was chill. Great place for a quick or casual meal and I didn't feel pressured to have to give up the table while my friend and I chatted. Service was great! The restaurant is located in a small strip mall with a private parking lot. The sign is difficult to see so you may drive past it if you aren't familiar with the area.

Yelp
This is our go to pho place, not only because it is so close to our house, but also because their noodles are so good! My go to orders are pho noodles with rare steak and tendon, fried egg rolls and this appetizer that comes in small sauce plates topped with fried onions, shrimp bits, and loads of green onions. You pour some of their sauce on it and slurp the entire thing up in one bite! My favorite thing about this spot is that they always give a TON of meat. I've never not left this place satisfied! Their parking area is small in the front but there are more spaces in the back. They also open early at 9am! And once your done with lunch or brunch, you can head over to the store next door for some tea or dessert!

Yelp
I stopped by Noodle City the other day and tried their Thai tea--honestly, it was so good. Perfectly sweet, super creamy, and had that strong tea flavor I love. You can tell they don't water it down like some other places do. Also, shoutout to the staff--everyone was really friendly and welcoming. They greeted me with a smile, got my order out quickly, and even checked in to make sure everything was okay. You don't always get that kind of service, so it definitely stood out. Will 100% be back!

Yelp
My favorite Vietnamese place in town (after trying many others)! The food always tastes fresh and high quality. Have been coming here with my siblings for a few years and it never disappoints. We especially like coming on a chilly night like tonight. Service is also quick and welcoming :) My favorite dish is the Pho Tai (P18) and the C8 plate, but I should probably venture out some time to try more of their menu because it's great.

Yelp
I only go here because its the closest Vietnamese food closest to the 60fwy and garfield. Very small parking lot shared with other businesses. Service is quick because they don't really have many customers from the few times I've dined in. Large menu variety. I typically order pho to dine in and had gotten com ga roti (red rice & chicken) togo. Pho is decent. Broth is strong in spices but lacks a little bit of salt. The red rice is the plainest red rice ive had. I dont know what makes it that orange color but does not taste like tomato paste. Chicken is dry. Overall I like to come here because when I crave pho for a work lunch, its the closest one that is open when I take my lunch whereas Pho ever that closes during lunch

Yelp
We ordered Togo and foods were packed nicely and in good portion. Pricing is more affordable compared to other places. We ordered all the classic Vietnamese dish like com tam, bun thit nuong and pho and they all taste good.
google avatar

Megan J.

Yelp
Highly recommend if you want authentic pho. It was delicious. My friend and I called in a to-go order. They were fast. It was ready when we got there. The pho was so good!
google avatar

Chelseaa V.

Yelp
Yes omg everything on this menu I've come to crave everything they have. It's so hard to find authentic Vietnamese food that reminds me of childhood but this is that spot. Huge menu of all the things I had growing up. Pho broth is flavorful and good quality Broken rice dishes are delicious! Love this place

Yelp
So bought the BOGO from Uber eat. They are giving a lot less my last order. Seems like 3/4 the soup. 1/2 the meat and pho noodles. We are done order from Uber eats . It use to be the best deal on Uber eat.
google avatar

Susan H.

Yelp
I've ordered through ubereats twice! I've ordered a beef pho which is pretty standard, the noodles were cooked just right and the broth was also pretty good. I ordered chicken pho today and the broth tastes like water. I had to add in chicken bouillon to try to save it but didn't quite work out. I'm not sure if it was an off day but $26 for a bowl of noodles and hot water is definitely not worth it.
google avatar

Thanh T.

Yelp
Have never dined in but have picked up multiple times. The food is always ready super quick (10-15 mins of ordering). We love the banh hoi and com tam that comes with pickled veggies and fresh herbs! The only things we are not huge fans of are the shrimp paste or nem nuong here. Doesn't really hit the same as other places. The goi cuon is also pretty good and comes with 3 rolls instead of the usual 2.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing Pho! One of the best Pho in the area! I recommend trying here over New Noodle City (which is also still good). Great service, great food, great price. Smells like I'm in Vietnam.
google avatar

Yelp
I loved everything about this place. Great service and excellent food. I will definitely be back again. Thank you everyone at Noodle City.

Yelp
Love this place! I ate here years ago and came for lunch today based on my memory of the food being good. It was just as good as I remembered. Ordered a P1 (Pho Dac Biet) and honestly there was maybe two large bowl's worth of noodles in my bowl. And a ton of meat. The broth was so good, a solid 9/10. Nothing much else to say. The staff was friendly, this is a no frills place, and they accept credit cards for books over $15. Plenty of free parking, as well. This will now definitely enter my rotation of Vietnamese restaurants in Monterey Park.

Lola R.

Yelp
Really run down...bathroom was disgusting. If the place looks this dirty, I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like. Such a shame because this was one of my favorite spots
google avatar

Brian F.

Yelp
My first visit and not my last. I had the Pho with Beef. Staff was friendly and invited me back. Great broth and beef. Came to table hot like it should be! Lots of condiments and things provided to spice it up. I will for sure go back, this is great food!
google avatar

Joanne T.

Yelp
We arrived as soon as they opened on Sunday morning. Basic service. The banh xeo and pho came out within 5 minutes. Banh xeo is light and fluffy (not crispy). Pho broth was good and proper portion of meat.
google avatar

Mai Y.

Yelp
I was craving the charbroiled pork with noodles and veggies but was fairly disappointed. I like to look at food pictures to see if it's to my liking and the picture that someone posted showed charred marks on the meat like it was grilled. However, what I got when I ordered it was more like pan seared. There were no charred marks nor grilled flavor. This is the first time I got pan seared meat for this dish. Could just be that their grill was not working at the moment but still. Also, the noodle was not soft and fresh but a little stiff. I will say that the eggrolls are good though.

Yelp
Best local spot for Phô , egg rolls are great and so is the charbroiled beef vermicelli on a hot day. We like to eat here pretty frequently. Family owned spot with great service.

Pauline H.

Yelp
Place is clean and good services. Their pho is good but their Vietnamese dry noodle is mediocre. Parking is an issue there. Small parking lot.
google avatar

Cam P.

Yelp
This place has the same name as the one on Valley Blvd. not sure if it's the same owner but I highly prefer this infer the other one. First off, it's located in a plaza so there are parking spots. Staff are friendly and courteous. Take-out orders are ready in like 10 minutes. Best of all, they give A LOT of meat in the pho. And the prices are definitely more reasonable for the sheer amount of meats. I'd say this Noodle City is more affordable than the other one. I've only tried the Pho and egg rolls. Egg rolls are fresh and crispy and yummy. As for the pho, I like the broth very much. The broth is a very important part of Pho. At the other place, I always got a sour after taste with the pho broth. But not here, the broth not only has no sour aftertaste, it's also not too salty. Highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Gloria L.

Yelp
Solid, authentic spot for Vietnamese food. I came and got their pho with a combination of all the meats and also tried their grilled beef broken rice. Overall the pho was good and the broth was decent, but the beef were all really dry. The broken rice had a good amount of toppings but the grilled beef was over cooked and pretty tough. Overall it was a decent meal and hit the spot for Vietnamese pho.

Valerie H.

Yelp
Ahhh, Vietnamese food. What can I say. It's light, refreshing, and will hit the spot on a day that's just right. My favorite is the Spring rolls with Charbroiled pork. You get the flavor of the pork, mixed in with the herbs that set the stage for something light, refreshing, and filling. Service here is typical for any Asian restaurant. They'll bring you your food, come by once, and after that, you won't see them again until you ask for the check. But that's okay, the food is pretty good. As for the ambiance, nothing special. Typical strip mall eatery setting. Will be coming back.
google avatar

Oliver L.

Yelp
i got overcharged on a to go order. I paid not what the price is on the menu. don't want to argue with that lady that she had a bad attitude. Will never go back. Thumbs down.
google avatar

Liz V.

Yelp
This hit the spot on a cold, rainy day. I ordered a Banh Canh Thit. It's an udon style noodle ina clear soup with slices of pork. It's a simple yet delicious soup that's not heavy. This restaurant is a no frills place and the staff are nice.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
This is a solid pho spot in the 626 area. The service is quick and friendly, the food comes out fast! They have regular and large size and the noodle is always cooked to perfection. The bean sprouts and basil that comes with the pho is also fresh and crispy every time. Did I mention the price is also very reasonable? Only downfall is the parking is sometimes very packed but most people go in and out quickly. I always order pho tai chin (rare beef and well done brisket), large, and if never disappoints. They also have a large selection of drinks to choose from, or you can always get something from bubble crush next door.
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
Tried their bun Bo hue, Com Tam, and Pho Ga. The bun Bo hue didn't have much flavor and you couldn't really taste the beef bone broth. The rice plate with beef and steamed egg had a lot of flavor; however, the beef was very chewy. I also tried the pho ga, which was good and came with a lot of meat. I was mainly disappointed by the water. It tasted as if the water was not filtered at all, and none of us could drink the water. I am really not too picky on water, but it tasted like metal and I couldn't finish it. Service wasn't bad!

Myt J.

Yelp
I have always patronised this place but i probably will stop. The portion has gone down so much that it's like they give you 50% of what they used to. I became hungry an hour after I had a bowl of pho. I am better off at other pho restaurants.
google avatar

Cindy H.

Yelp
Fast service, cheaper prices compared to other pho restaurants, and clean. The veggies for pho are always fresh and they give a good portion of pho noodles, even for regular. Parking is a little tricky because of the small parking lot, but most of the time people are quick to leave. When we're craving a large bowl of pho this is where we go!
google avatar

Jade T.

Yelp
Go to place for pho. Broth is delicious. They also have vegetarian pho that tastes great. Also love the egg rolls. The decor is dated and worn, but the service is always fast as d friendly.
google avatar

Ken L.

Yelp
I usually get the pho here and eat here weekly. Today I tried the Cornish hen and it was nice and crispy. Definitely recommend getting the whole bird as it's only couple dollars more than the half
google avatar

Johanna P.

Yelp
My husband and I have been coming here for a few years. Every time we come, we enjoy the food and the owners. They are very hospitable, the food is AWESOME, and the price is VERY reasonable. It's always a joy coming here.
google avatar

Chewson H.

Yelp
One of the best bang for buck hole in the wall Vietnamese places! I have been coming here for a while and I have tried their dine in service and their to go. Service is standard as they rarely need to check up on you since everything you need is on the table. Food comes out really quick and it's delicious as well. Portion sizes are great here. They are extremely generous with their noodles and you definitely won't be leaving hungry. Their large contains much more noodles than other restaurant larges and they taste great as well. I can't believe how much noodle comes in their large bowl of pho. One thing to note is that I wouldn't recommend their appetizers. I ordered a charbroiled pork roll and there was only a sliver of meat. For the cost of 6 dollars, I probably would have just ordered another entree. The pricing here is great, much lower than other restaurants however there is a 10 dollar minimum for credit card orders. If you only order and entree, it's hard to break the 10 dollar minimum as most orders come below the 10 dollars even after tax. Parking here is terrible though, not many spots and not a lot of street parking either. They have week day lunch specials. Highly recommend coming to check them out!
google avatar

Cindy C.

Yelp
FOOD We ordered three dishes: Special pho: soup base was not bad. It came with the standard plate of bean sprouts, jalapeños and lime squeeze. They were moderate with their meat portions. Bun Bo hue: not bad, but I was hoping it would be a bit spicier. The bowl was smaller than expected, but does fill you up. It comes with small selection of meat including the beef and pork knuckles. I am more used to it having a variety of meat selections from other places I've tried so I was a bit disappointed in this dish. Spring Rolls: this was my favorite! It tasted fresh and delicious. They give you three generous rolls with a lighter peanut sauce (still pretty good). PARKING Located in a small plaza. It can be difficult to find parking depending on when you go, but there's also a bigger plaza next door. SERVICE I think with Covid-19 still happening, I want to be more thoughtful in giving this feedback. They seated us right away and came to get our order. It looks like a family owned restaurant and their teenaged son was helping us take the order. They forgot our waters but quickly provided them when we asked. It was a little hard to flag them down, but it's pretty standard for customer service in the 626 area. WILL I COME BACK? It's pretty challenging considering how much competition there are in the area. I have some pho places closer to home that I would go to for convenience. But if I do come back, I would definitely order the spring rolls again!
google avatar

Alex C.

Yelp
love the flavorful broth, tender meats, and fresh ingredients. It's a go-to place for a satisfying bowl of pho that will leave you craving more. Don't miss out on this great pho spot at Noodle City!

Yelp
10/10 recommend this spot. Food - 5/5 - OMG THEIR PHO HERE IS AMAZING!! I primarily get pho tai here because that is my favourite and they make it very well. The broth is clean and fragrant. The pho noodles are cooked perfectly so that its chewy and soft. The piping hot broth is perfect for cold weather or just something cozy. Service - 4/5 - Service is super friendly. The staff primarily don't come check up on you but they are attentive. Price - $ - the fact that even at times like these they have hardly raised their prices. This is GODSENT. The prices are reasonable and you totally get your worth of food when you order. I come here to support them and i don't mind over ordering and taking this home for the next day.
google avatar

Laura L.

Yelp
This is honestly my favorite pho place! It's hard to find cheap and good pho nowadays and this one hits the spot. The type of place that doesn't really need any hoisin in their broth. It really reminds me of home, where my parents have a pho restaurant. Such a family vibe!
google avatar

Robert L.

Yelp
If u like ho chi Minh cuisine like pho bo Vien, this place got the soup right and fans of pho know it's mostly about the soup when comparing or if it's good pho or not so good it's about the soup and this is place legit. I recommend their jackfruit smoothie is fucking pretty damn delicious it doesn't smell like durian either .
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
Ordered the broken rice combo #12a, its supposed to be a pork chop with tofu wrapped shrimp paste. We got a fatty beef chop instead, I asked twice and they insisted its pork! It was way too dark, fatty and tasted like beef ugh. Pho doesnt have much meat and is on the salty side. Pretty sub-standard meal considering how many options in the area. Wouldn't recommend going back.
google avatar

Joyce D.

Yelp
Pho broth is great. I love when the broth is more savory than sweet. Meat inside the pho is tender. They give great portions of meat in their pho. For the price, you get a pretty good bang for your buck as prices are really reasonable. We also ordered the banh xeo. Crispy with that nice balance of sweetness of the coconut milk. There were quite a number of flies flying around inside the restaurant. That was a bit of a nuisance. However, again I would say the food is reasonable for the price. Parking lot is small considering there's numerous businesses inside the plaza.
google avatar

Joshua L.

Yelp
This place has mediocre noodles. The only good thing I like about this place in my opinion is there spicy seafood spaghetti however, sometimes it is not fresh at all.
google avatar

min suk l.

Yelp
Great broth ordered usial pho tai. I also highly reccomend theyre jack fruit smoothie for $6 bucks.
google avatar

Ana T.

Yelp
I ordered take out. The food was ok, but I had better pho elsewhere. There weren't too much meat in one order and were a little dry. Maybe indoor dining would have been better for pho.
google avatar

Amy K.

Yelp
The food is good value here. One star off because they ran out of cha, which is Vietnamese steamed egg meatloaf, one of my favorite items that comes typically with pork chop rice. We ordered: - bun Thit nuong cha gio - (cold rice noodle salad style with bbq pork, egg roll, romaine lettuce), good sized portion, egg rolls are smaller than other places - com tau hu ky gia gio (rice with fried shrimp meatloaf and egg rolls) - it tastes good but portion is small. It was enough for me, no left overs. You get two pieces of shrimp paste and 2 egg rolls. I liked the picked cabbage and carrots. - com thit nuong (rice with bbq pork) - you get a medium amount. Pork tastes decent, nothing out of the ordinary. Tip: the fish sauce is served in a tea cup before the meal comes. Don't mistaken this for tea cuz my bf was gonna drink it lol.
google avatar

Glydia C.

Yelp
By far my favorite pho place ever. I went to that pho place that won the James Beard Award that everyone is flocking to try. That place is a completely different flavor. If you want the best traditional flavored pho, this is where you go. The broth has been consistently good on two occasions of dining here. I hope that this stays that way. I will update if it changes. I would stop by if I am in the general area. I live too far to make it a regular place but I would if I did.
google avatar

Benson K.

Yelp
I have not had pho in a few months, so I too my parents to this place on a Friday. I had not been here since 2017, and at that point we went in the summer time. This restaurant does not turn on any air conditioning or heat (they only open the door), so it's important to go when the weather is nice. I did not do a formal review of this place in 2017 since it was so hot, so I decided to do one now that I went in nicer weather. We ended up sharing a seafood pho, pork chop rice, and charbroiled pork and spring roll vermicelli this time around. I really loved the broth in the seafood pho, it was very light and flavorful. The seafood itself was ok, nothing special, just fish cakes and imitation crab meat and the like. The pork chop rice was my favorite dish overall, although I also loved the spring rolls in the vermicelli. Solid Vietnamese restaurant in Monterey Park. There are a lot of restaurants like this in San Gabriel Valley. This one does not particularly stand out, but I still liked it overall.
google avatar

Lisa Q.

Yelp
Great little family owned Vietnamese restaurant! We love coming here for their pho, rice dishes and bun (vermicelli and lettuce/veggies). The ingredients are always clean and fresh. There's also daily specials that are very reasonably price for every weekday.

cindy T.

Yelp
Before leaving my stay at Monterey Park, we decided to eat something light before our road trip back to Bay Area. Husband found this spot. A party of 5 walked in and got seated. Few minutes, waitress took our order and gave us water and utensils. Pho - good Com Thit nuong - Good Bun Bo hue- OK Cơm thịt nướng đau hũ ky - was good Overall, was good. Very authentic taste. Service was good and friendly.
