Best Hand-Pulled Noodles in Boston | Eater Boston

"Not convinced hospital food courts have any good dining options? Think again. This noodle kiosk in the Longwood Galleria is serving a number of tempting Chinese dishes, including spicy biang biang noodles served with bok choy, garlic, and sprouts. The rougamo is also among the best in the city. Noodles King is open for takeout." - Terrence Doyle

Best Boston-Area Delivery and Takeout, Spring/Summer 2020 | Eater Boston

"This kiosk inside the Longwood food court is one of the best restaurants in all of Boston. Its hand-pulled biang biang noodles are an exemplar of the genre (which has a small but growing scene in and around Boston). Be sure to order a rougamo — which is like a Chinese burger, typical of the Shaanxi province — on the side. —TBD Currently offering takeout. Order: Just show up" - Terrence Doyle

This is a cozy little Chinese restaurant. Its sign is easy to miss from the street, and the exterior appears a bit worn. Parking is limited, but usually sufficient unless it's completely full. Inside, the decor is simple and straightforward. The food here is not exceptional, but it's decent. The portions are sized such that if each person orders a dish, there won't be any leftovers. Prices are quite reasonable compared to other Chinese restaurants. This spot is great for catching up with closed friends over a casual meal and chat. However, it's not the ideal choice for hosting formal gatherings or entertaining guests.

Food was better a few years ago. We went with the family during the holidays and they were a mess. Entrees came out one by one. With a proper chinese meal, you would want most of the dishes arriving close together so you can eat them all together. Two of the dishes came out cold. We had to remake it but they just tossed it back in the wok. The Peking Duck seems like they cheated us and was missing quite a bit of meat. Service from the servers was terrible this time. Years ago it was much better. Might give them another try.

We have been to Noodle King several times now. It is one of our favorite Chinese restaurants in the area, despite its humble appearance inside and out. Every single dish they served was exceptionally delicious. The only reason I took a star off for atmosphere is that the restaurant is not decorated in a lush manner as many of the area Chinese restaurants are, but the food is superb.

Ordered delivery - the pepper steak and pan fried noodles was decent, but the hot & sour soup was literally the consistency of slime. Inedible..

What a hidden gem! I’m shocked I’ve never heard of this place until recently—upon pulling up into the small parking lot, I was skeptical because it looked like it could be a hole in the wall type of place but once you enter inside, it’s totally fine, just a small casual restaurant. Food was really good! Highly recommend the Hong Kong Style Sole Fillet, Walnut Shrimp, and Deep Fried Spicy Salted Tofu! The Hot & Sour Soup and Chinese Broccoli Stir Fried with Garlic were good too. However, wasn’t a huge fan of the Seafood Pan Fried Noodle—it was bland and lacked flavor and was drenched in the sauce which made the noodles really soggy. Food portions and prices are pretty reasonable—will definitely come back to try their other dishes.

Google
Delicious food and quick service. We went for a birthday party and accommodated for our big family. It is a bit overpriced considering the portions of each dish, the location, and the limited amount of indoor seating space the restaurant has. We ordered the Peking Duck with Baos, Walnut Shrimp, Ginger Scallion Fried Lobster, Chicken + Beef Crispy Noodle Stir Fry, and Beef and Broccoli. The restaurant does have limited parking spaces, make sure to arrive early.

We came into town for the holiday weekend. We decided to stop and pick up dinner before we headed to our hotel. I thought it was rather pricey but decided to try it. First of all. There is a comments section where I specifically asked for napkins and silverware. Did not get either and we are at a hotel and needed them. Nor did we get soy sauce or fortune cookies. So that section is useless if they don’t read it. The food wasn’t that great either. That was a wasted $70. Never again!! If you are reading this, don’t bother!!

Google
Cannot help writing this review to give the restaurant a 5-star. The food is authentic, fresh and delicious Hongkong style. The location is very interesting but highlights the authenticity of its HK style. Highly recommend the place to anyone who is looking for a real taste of HK dishes or for convenient take-out Chinese food.

Yelp
Beyond expectations! Even better than similar restaurants in Rockville. It is in a corner that can be easy missed, but the food is top notch.

Yelp
Came to Noodle King for a late lunch with friends and had a good meal. We ordered the seafood pan-fried noodles, beef chow fun (dry), beef noodle soup, and chicken wings. The pan-fried noodles were crispy but needed a bit more flavor. The beef chow fun was delicious with great wok hei--definitely a favorite. The beef noodle soup was okay but felt like it was missing something. The chicken wings were crispy, meaty, and tasty. Overall, a solid spot for a casual meal. Would come back!

Yelp
The only rule we have when visiting our family and friends anywhere near Silver Spring is that we must have at least one meal at Noodle King. It does not matter if we are visiting the friends who live down the block or the family that lives 100 miles away, all that matters is that we will have one of our favorite meals at least once as long as we are close enough to drive. One order of Szechwan String Beans, at least one order of Deep Fried Spicy seafood (fish, calamari or mixed) and whatever else might catch our fancy on that day and we know without a doubt that the remainder of our trip will be filled with memories of these flavors. The good news is that everything else we've tried has also been very good, just not good enough to be what brings us back over and over again. One word of warning for those that order the standard Chinese American dishes - think sweet and sour anything, beef with broccoli, and the like- you might not be as happy as those that order the more traditionally Chinese foods. The French Beef cubes are delightful and are probably as close as you might find to the flavors you seek, but I urge you to try something new and keep your mind and tastebuds open. Noodle king is not fancy. It's a simple restaurant filled with big round tables and not much decoration. It features friendly but efficient service and has a constant stream of people picking up take out orders while you eat. None of this matters if you like the food, and I hope you do!

Yelp
Noodle King is another example of that old adage: "you never know where you'll find good food!" A friend mentioned that there was a restaurant located off of New Hampshire Ave in a section of the Colesville/Silver Spring area serving up old skool Cantonese fare. So we decided to pop in and I'm so glad we did. Noodle King shares a small lot with the Hollywood Beer and Wine store and Clips Barber shop, so parking can be tight; be prepared to park along one of the adjacent neighborhood streets. Interesting exterior with a few tables for outdoor dining in the warmer months, and plant and greenery along the wall right before you get to the front door. Upon walking in, the diner is transported to the 1980's with low tables, metal chair, wooden panel chair molding, and formica table tops which have had the veneer worn down from years of cleaning. There is a dining area off the right with a lazy susan in the middle of the table for larger groups. I was a bit skeptical at first, but the food is legit. One of the standard bearers of any good Canto place is the Seafood Fried noodles, or Hosin Chow Mein. Jumbo shrimp, pieces of calamari, tender pieces of fish, scallops, and imitation crab meat was gently tossed in a mild clear sauce and mixed with veggies atop crispy deep fried egg noodles. I dunno if it's as good as the joints I enjoyed as kid growing up in NYC, but for the 'burbs of Montgomery county...it was delish! The wonton noodle soup was uneven. The noodles were boiled properly without being overcooked and had a nice springy texture. But the soup broth was...meh. It tasted more of a generic chicken broth but needed salt and more umami flavor. But the wontons were tasty. They were definitely handmade as indicated by their irregular shapes (unlike some places which use frozen mass produced varieties) and stuffed with shrimp, pork, and veggies. Both dishes were accentuated by using a mixture of the provided table chili oil and soy sauce. Service was efficient and friendly, and the aunties running around the dining room appreciated my brief conversations with them in Cantonese, since that dialect seems to be disappearing from the Chinese language diaspora. Didn't get to sample any of the BBQ meats displayed in the window behind the cash register, but I'll definitely try the next I'm in the area. Noodle King has earned it's 4 star rating!

Yelp
A fairly small restaurant with large portions that you can split with friends! Stir-Fried Tomato & Beef on a Bed of Rice 7/10 - beef is tender but flavor isn't there for me Stir Fried Pork with Sour Cabbage 7.5/10 Peking Duck 6.5/10 Wonton Noodle Soup 5/10 - very plain and subtle We didn't wait too long for any of our dishes. Overall, the food is okay -- nothing stood out.

Yelp
NOODLE KINGGGGGGGGGG This place is so good I'm loathe to share more about it because I don't want it to get too busy. My family has been going for years but in an effort to leave more reviews this year I thought I'd finally share something here. Honestly, it's hard to go wrong. Everything is pretty flavorful. Hearty portions. Very reasonable prices. Tonight we had: Cod: delicious. So flaky and the sauce is superb. U m a m i Pan fried meat dumplings: i am personally a big fan of these thicker doughier chonky dumplings but if you're not into a doughy bite it might not be for you Deep Fried Spicy Salted Calamari: SO GOOD I love calamari already, but this is perfectly salty and spicy . Order this every single time. I just had it and I would eat it again right now. Beef chow fun: i love this dish anywhere, but there is something extra tasty about the gravy here, I can't explain it Tapioca: this was a surprise free dessert only available on weekends. It's so unassuming and isn't much to look at but it's actually very light and pleasant. I would never order it on my own but I'll always eat it if they bring it, you know? It's a definitive hole in the wall - the entrance is facing the parking lot and the back of the restaurant faces the street. It's the kind of place you drive past a hundred times and ignore because it's not much from outside, but you step in and it's almost entirely Asian families so you know they know what they're doing. It's a hidden gem / family establishment through and through. Love this place.

Yelp
Authentic Cantonese cuisine, from simple Hong Kong style wanton noodles, to all sorts of Cantonese dishes. This restaurant satisfies my cravings. IMHO, they have one of the best roast ducks around! If you're in the mood for some comfort food, try one of their Congees.

Yelp
We had a surprisingly nice late lunch at this little hole in the wall on our way back from zip lining at the sandy spring adventure park nearby. The women who took or order was very nice, and although they couldn't accommodate service at one of their outside tables, she offered to let us do take out and sit there. Our chow fun noodles and tofu with veggies were fresh, hot and tasty. The inside was drab and had a funny smell, but the outside table was

Yelp
Absolutely delicious!!!! You will miss this gem if you don't look carefully...you go in through the back...when we walked eyes were on us because it was all Asian customers and they thought we were door dash ! We told them we would like to be seated, they said sit anywhere. We saw some amazing meals coming out the kitchen that I asked the server what somebody else had and that's what I ordered without disappointment!!! Deliciousness is all I can describe it as!!! The wife ordered Singapore noodles which she loved...this is one of the best Asian food spot I've had since coming to md! Give it a try and remember I told you so!!

Yelp
Meh. Food was fine, but not as good as others have described. Others have said that it is worth paying double what you would elsewhere, but we just didn't find it to be very special. Maybe it was an off night for them. Also, when did places start filling wontons with shrimp instead of a pork mixture...?

Yelp
This was a great hole in the wall spot. I got the green beans, general tsao, and combo lo mein. The lo mein was my favorite. The service was relatively quick.
google avatar

Danielle F.

Yelp
Love this neighborhood spot. Everything is fresh and delicious. I usually do carry out and dishes are packaged and ready in 15-20 minutes. If you need sauce or other condiments, make sure to ask for them as they don't include them otherwise.

Yelp
Decided to try there lunch specials for the first time and something I never had before there. I ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken and upgraded the rice to fry rice for an extra $3 charge. It came with a one spring roll which tasted good just a bit too oily. I really wanted to like my order but sadly disappointed. The sweet and sour chicken was heavy breaded. It taste like something anyone could buy in the frozen section of the grocery and make at home themselves. Even the sweet and sour sauce tasted like store brought and was very sparing on the chicken. Greatly lacking in quality and flavor. For these reasons I usually don't order this item as I'm picky and it's had to find restaurants that make a quality and flavorful version that's worth eating. I'm surprised by Noodle King because other dishes I had was just the opposite. See my first review. The fry rice was very basic and I'm still trying to figure out what I paid $3 extra dollars for.... the oil they had to fry it in. No egg nor vegetables was added. Nothing as you can see from the picture. I was quite surprised by this as well since I always order fry rice from there. One of my favorites. Definitely will not be ordering this lunch special item anymore. I'll stick to the reg menu.

Yelp
I'm not sure which food to highlight because everything I had was so good. Their chicken and duck both are so good. The skin is fried so crispy and juicy. I also enjoyed their fried fish dish; the spice and flavor is so nice. I'd say order a side of rice because it complements the flavors of the main dishes so well.

Yelp
I thought I had reviewed before but guess I hadn't. We really like the Singapore noodles and the sizzling noodles. I know there were other dishes we ordered in the past that were good and some that were just ok but apparently I slacked on the job of recording them. I know I wasn't impressed with Wonderful Chicken from our first visit and I ordered a tofu dish at lunch one time that was bland but can't remember which one. These notes are more for myself than anything, as we come back in future I'll try to be more specific. Last night our friend got kung pao tofu that looked good (we didn't try) and veggie lo mein that looked a bit dry to me and had a stray piece of chicken in it so she got squicked. The next table over had beef and broccoli that looked good so maybe we try that next?

Yelp
Although the location is a bit strange, it is a great spot for good authentic Chinese food. They have all the usual take out fare, but also additional select Cantonese-style dishes that hit the spot. Downsides are the place has a unique smell and not the most elegant looking place (but it does add to the authenticity for me).
google avatar

Yelp
We were nearby around dinner time and I found this place on yelp. As others have noted, it's hard to tell that it's even open from the main road (New Hampshire Ave). But we drive around back and went inside... ... and found a cozy little hole in the wall with quick service, friendly staff, and good food. We had seafood fried rice, roast duck and beef noodles. All great. We were all impressed. Not sure if I'd drive out of DC for this but if you're in the area it's a solid choice. Total price $58 without tip.

Richard S.

Yelp
I enjoyed my lunch very much. I had hot and sour soup and twice cooked pork, one of the "lunch specials." The service was friendly and quick. The place was busy, which I took was a sign the place was good. Parking was easy. I look forward to my next visit.

Yelp
Personally, if this place was not vouched by my friends - I don't think I would have tried it! But don't let the outside fool you! This small restaurant behind a hair shop had surprisingly pretty good food! It does seem a little run down inside but the service is quick and simple inside this quiet little place (a plus if you can speak Cantonese to them as well!) For a party of 8 we had the hot and sour soup (good) and the egg drop soup (pretty rich but a little too rich for myself). Chef's special noodle did not disappoint, definitely hit the msg craving. Tomato beef over rice was delicious! Tender beef, soft tomatoes, and the flavoring wasn't strong at all! The snow pea leaves were my favorite! Perfect seasoning and easy to eat! The Mapo tofu was good but a little bland and definitely was not spicy at all. They also gave us a hefty portion of Peking duck! Had plenty of crispy skin and the buns were super soft and puffy! Overall 6.5/10 would recommend for a quiet, decent Chinese food place! Great for a medium-large party to share and try a bunch of different items!
google avatar

Yelp
I love Noodle King! It's an extremely consistent and reliable take out spot for me. That said, you have to know what to order here because not all dishes are created equal. The ones that are good are really consistently good, such as all of the Hong Kong Noodle Soups (my favorite is the shrimp dumpling), basically all of the noodles because duh (my favorites are all the chow funs and Ja-Jain Mein Beijing Style), the roast duck, mapo tofu, the shrimp toast, and spicy wontons. I would say stick to these and other authentic Chinese rather than Chinese American dishes and enjoy!
google avatar

Thomas M.

Yelp
I have never had anything but a wonderful meal here. My go to is usually Kung Pao chicken but honestly, everything is wonderful. Also of note, their Singapore noodles, pork fried rice, crispy beef...you get the idea. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This is a small but nice spot, with typical, but good food. Entrance is somewhat hidden in the rear.

Jc Y.

Yelp
Do that happened to you?. They charged 7% sale tax instead 6% for MD? Found out when we got home. The explanation is cashier machine wrongly set up. Pay attention to this. Foods are expensive $$$$$, greasy. Not particular good or healthy. Service is average . A tiny flop house diner ambiance .
google avatar

Paul S.

Yelp
Came with family and ordered several dishes to share: salt pepper pork chop, black pepper beef pan fried noodles, beef chow foon, shrimp stuffed tofu, Szechuan string beans, crispy beef, and chicken salted fish eggplant casserole. It was all very good and service was efficient. Food came out fast, although we came before the dinner rush. Once ready to leave, the place was packed with Chinese people, always a good sign.

John L.

Yelp
Good tasting food, outside appearance might be misleading but the food is well worth it.

Yelp
A great little hole-in-the-wall find that has some fantastic authentic Canto food. The congee and 白切鸡 (Canto poached white chicken) were delicious, as was the fried rice. I've only done carry-out but staff have been friendly and efficient.

Daniel H.

Yelp
Noodle King is a tough one to rate. I give the food a 9 out of 10. It is delicious, classic, Cantonese food served in large portions. The price is not cheap but reasonable for the large portion size. I give the ambiance about a 6 out of ten. There's no way to say this other than to say this, it always smells a bit bad inside. Maybe because it is crowded, maybe because the kitchen is not well vented, but the smell puts me off enough that I go there less often than the food quality would merit. Still, I do go there. For the pan fried whole flounder with ginger and scallions - ample for two people, sufficient for three - the fried tofu with bean sprouts - a simple but enjoyable dish- the greens with garlic, the beef with sour cabbage and the classic dry chow fun. The noodle soups are a good lunch choice- again very traditional and classic. When I go to the garden center next door I often have a duck noodle soup.

Yelp
My wife and I just discovered this hidden gem. We wanted lobster and other local restaurants wanted $50 for each crustacean (and they are likely small). Mr. Google provided this restaurant of which we had never heard even though we've passed it hundreds of times (it is difficult to see from Southbound NH Avenue!) We called ... $40/each lobster. We went and were DELIGHTED! The lobsters were GENUINELY 1.25 pounds each OR MORE (i.e. NOT SMALL). They were expertly prepared with Ginger and Scallions, although there were more onions than scallions. ALL the people, and the service, were WONDERFUL! Friendly and helpful. SADLY, I am gluten free so I will never be able to enjoy ALL of their varied noodle menu (or anything made with ordinary soy sauce - first ingredient = wheat!). BUT there are numerous other authentic dishes that sound fantastic. Cannot wait to go back!

Matthew F.

Yelp
Food ready immediately and they remembered that this happened months ago without me saying anything. Very nice staff - highly recommend this place for take out. I would like to dine in soon. Try their Peking duck and hot and sour soup!

Yelp
Last month my wife and I ordered a Roast Duck Noodle Soup, an Orange Chicken, and a Malaysian Style Curry Beef from UberEats which we loved. The portion sizes are very generous so we had plenty of leftovers. We look forward to ordering from here or dining here in person in the future.

Yelp
tbh as I pulled into the parking area, it took my wife several minutes to convince me to get out of the car because the area looked so...I mean, was it even open? was it actually abandoned? Looking from New Hampshire Ave side, you would think even more so. But as it turned out, we went in, and it opened up to a pretty decent indoor dining set-up: clean, tastefully decorated, and, whoa, actually run by Asians. The menus are even written in both English & Chinese on real menus, not just paper. The tea was legit black tea, strong. I got a lunch special - beef & broccoli. It's so White, I know, but it's also one of the "standards I use to compare very basic dishes. Gotta say, it was pretty good! Broccoli bright green, not overcooked, tasty. Beef was TENDER, nice cuts, very flavorful, "the good stuff" (not some cheap cut that's tough & chewy). and it wasn't skimpy on the beef. Sauce was classic, went great into the rice. Lunch specials also include either an egg roll (pass on principle) or 1 of 3 soups. I like to use hot & sour soup also as a standard measure. It was full bodied, had a nice kick, nice combo of tofu & other normal ingredients. didn't have pork though, but as a side soup, I could live with that. As a standalone, though, it's gotta have pork. But for $9.95, what a great deal! My wife got the soup noodle with beef brisket. Pretty good too. The broth is on the lighter side (probably to keep people from needing blood pressure pills). The beef was good, flavorful - could be a little more tender? but still very good. and it included bok choy, pretty legit. She also wanted to try out the honeh walnut shrimp. These shrimp were no shrimps, they were generous tiger prawns. very plump, fresh tasting, classic taste. The walnuts were ok, not as candied as other places. and I know restaurants have greatly increased the price for this dish, so be prepared to pay that top price for this. Last but not least, we got pan-fried dumplings & char-siu (roast pork) to go. Dumplings are another standard dish I use to compare Chinese restaurants. Many don't even use pork anymore, they use chicken (insert barf emoji). Many also add veg fillers. This place does neither. Near 100% pirk, flavorful and with my preferred THICK skin (dough). Decent size too. I could eat just these as a full meal. The char-siu was also very tender, very succulent, easy to eat in one sitting (and probably refusing to share). I'm so happy to finally have found a legit Chinese restaurant closer to the White Oak area and not have to schlep all the way to Rockville!! I'd just probably go during the light of day? (1 star off for giving new meaning to hole-in-the-wall especially from the New Hampshire Ave side)

Yelp
On a Saturday evening, I had dinner with my extended family at Noodle King Restaurant. We have been coming here for years and the food has always consistently good. Tonight, we enjoyed the Beef Kew, French Style, Hong Kong Style Sole Fillet, Xiamen Style Rice Noodles, Eight Treasures Casserole, and Sautéed Snowpea Leaves. The Beef Kew, French Style consisted of wok-fried steak tips served with broccoli in a sweet and savory brown sauce. I didn't try the Hong Kong Style Sole Fillet but there was no trace of it by the end of the meal. The Xiamen Style Rice Noodles consisted of mei fun cooked with chicken, shrimp, bell peppers, onions, bean sprouts, and egg a light sweet and sour sauce. The Eight Treasures Casserole consisted of braised fish, roast pork, chicken, scallops, squid, imitation crab, braised tofu, carrots, napa cabbage, and snowpeas in a flavorful brown gravy served in a casserole pot. The Sauteed Snowpea Leaves consistes of snowpeas sauteed with garlic. Our other favorite dishes include Roast Duck, Cantonese Style Roast Pork, Wonton Noodle Soup, Beef Brisket Noodle Soup, Walnut Shrimp, Happy Family, Live Lobster, Beef Chow Fun, Black Mushroom and Duck Feet Casserole, and Salted Fish, Chicken, and Tofu/Eggplant Casserole.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this restaurant based on my fellow Yelpers. I also have driven past this location several times, but never noticed the restaurant. Tons of free parking and accepts both cash and credit card. If you are familiar with the Cantonese food businesses in the Wheaton MD area, then you will know how popular those cuisines can be. I decided to give this place a try as other Cantonese restaurants do not have their full menu due to supply shortages from the COVID-19 outbreak. As of August 2021, they do have dine in eating at their establishment. The restaurant is located in a busy street and inside a very unusual parking lot. It can be confusing. Just remember that the entrance is next to the parking lot. The entrance is not adjacent from the street and that door leads to the kitchen and not the customer area. Tons of free parking here. Upon entering inside, it has very similar decorations as the other Cantonese restaurants that I've witness. We ordered several dishes such as the pork and preserved egg congee, duck noodle soup, shrimp wonton, and their fried bean curd w/ veggies. The pork and preserved egg congee was pretty tasty. Tons of pork and not too salty. It comes in a quart size container so you can definitely share with others The Duck Noodle soup was pretty good. Given that the pandemic has impacted suppliers of certain foods, it impacted many restaurants that normally sell this protein. Luckily, this restaurant still had it. The duck was a bit on the fatty side, but the meat was very tender. Tasted quite fresh. The noodles had a nice pull and had a nice bite to it. Also comes with some green veggies (boy choy). We request the wonton added to the soup which was about $4 extra. Might as well order their small wonton soup for that price., The bean curd w/ veggies was nice and light. Tons of variety of vegetables with tender tofu. The staff here were very friendly. Tons of tables inside the establishment. If you are in the area and in the mood of Cantonese food, this is a good option. Prices are reasonable. Prices of certain BBQ items have increased. Otherwise worth giving this place a try. Good addition in the MoCo area.

Yelp
Best Chinese style food in Silver Spring and maybe Montgomery County. That's it, for now

Yelp
Excellent in every way! The food was beautiful, this is truly a hidden gem! Located in our area.

Yelp
Food is quite good. Service is quick. Place is small but has tables. Only thing the women's room had a foul odor.

Yelp
Noodle King is an excellent Chinese Restaurant, that has been my go-to in the Colesville-Silver Spring area for a couple of years now. We used to travel to Rockville to eat at Joe's Noodle house, but I believe it was sold or lost a key chef and the quality went downhill, so we stopped. Though it does not have the Sichuan items I loved at Joe's, it has an excellent selection of authentic and conventional Chinese cuisine. I have tried a number of appetizers, soups, noodles and entrees, and they have all been excellent. The egg rolls aren't too greasy. I especially like getting an order of Hunan pork and Szechuan string beans to go and having enough food for a couple of meals. I love Singapore noodles and theirs are very good. Noodle King is a cut above the rest and if you live near the Colesville-Silver Spring area, you should try it and see if it should be your go-to place for Chinese food too.

Yelp
This was our first visit for carryout dinner on 2/12/21, which was the start of the lunar new year. We called at 2:30 and placed our order for pick up at 4:30. You may pay in advance or wait until pickup arrival. The latter option is good in case parts of your order is missing. We arrived 5 minutes beforehand, and our ready was still being packed. It was fairly busy since it was a big holiday. We waited 10 minutes. We got a whole Peking duck for $39.95 that is normally priced for $34.95. Other entrees we ordered were at the prices listed on their website. Overall, the food tasted great and were large. Service was friendly. The prices are a little higher. Much better than going to Full Key in Wheaton, which is slow with service and parking is limited.

Yelp
We went here for lunch today after church. It was busy today since it's Sunday. But they were able to accommodate us quickly. The food came quickly and it was all very delicious. We had the fried rice with chicken and salted fish! Yummy! My favorite was the Deep Fried Spicy Porkchops. They were amazing. The flavors is so on point! The Chinese broccoli was so simple yet really flavorful. And of course the Beef brisket Noodles was exceptionally great! We have been coming here for a long time ever since my Sister in law told us they are authentic Chinese food. We will definitely come back again.

Yelp
I am writing this review because folks need to know that we have an excellent Chinese restaurant in our area. We have struggled to have good, consistent Chinese food for years. We ordered King Pao chicken, Pork fried rice, Triple delight, and the Buddha bowl. All of the food was very good. Our food was take out so didn't get a chance to have sit down service. But the person who helped me with my order was friendly and the food was done on time as promised. The restaurant is clean and was filled with people, which was a good sign. This will be our "go to" place now for Chinese food! Next time I'll try some of their Thai entrees.

Yelp
The food is absolutely delicious. Have only order takeout and Door Dash. Have never dined in. Everyone is super nice, too.

Yelp
Very authentic, taste was good, has been going back for three times, definitely will go back again. Service staff were pretty friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Definitely one of the best local Chinese restaurants in the MD burbs! Sad that the dining in option is closed, but the business currently remains open with carry-out and delivery options. It was my uncle and dad's birthday so my family and I decided to do a small celebration. The food was absolutely delicious! I would recommend their duck or honestly any noodle-based dish. On weekends, their business still gets busy with carry-out options so it might be better to try out their food on a week day to avoid any crowds!

Yelp
We had the scallion ginger twin lobsters (tasty but lacked wok hei), Chinese broccoli( seasoned perfectly ) and Fried flounder( small and lacked any fish meat but tasty). Overall, good but not great. We need to come back and try other dishes.

Yelp
Great food! Lobster was delish as was the snowpea tips! Peking duck had good flavor but the wrapper was thick and not enough of them. Not enough Scallions and no cucumbers. We asked for the latter and they said they don't serve with the duck. I was surprised. They did bring more scallions upon request. If you want a dive atmosphere and little fussiness on decor but amazing food, go there! It was great way to get away from Valentine's Day crowds!

Yelp
Decent Chinese food. The design of Noodle King makes clear its focus is to quickly serve as many people as possible. We split the calamari and the sizzling noodle. The calamari tasted fresh and the sweet chili sauce served with it was tasty. The seafood in the sizzling noodle was a bit bland, but the sauce itself was tasty. Eating the noodles in the watery sauce was a bit of a chore however. Overall, you could find worse Chinese food in Silver Spring than Noodle King.

Yelp
Not necessarily the most authentic Chinese. But for sure def the most authentic Chinese American in Silver Spring. Solid king pao, sweet n sour, rice /noddles.
