The 17 Best Restaurants In Mammoth - Mammoth - The Infatuation

"Noodle-Ly should be your first stop for noodles. With a wide variety of Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese noodle soups, it’s always difficult to choose between options like pho with braised beef, BBQ pork egg noodles, and khao soi. Another favorite is the veggie option, which comes with a choice of noodles (rice or egg) with mushrooms, baked tofu, and bok choy. Noodle-Ly is by no means a secret—wait times for a table can reach 90 minutes—so it’s a good spot to order from on a night in that won’t cost you more than $20. If you decide to eat here, though, you’ll find a room filled with brightly-painted walls and even more colorful paintings." - danielle bauter

Google
I’m so glad to find a noodle spot like this on a cold day! It was my first time trying Khao Soi (Laos version) flavorful, comforting, and so delicious. My boyfriend had the pho (Large) the portion was huge, and he finished the whole bowl! The staff were friendly and quick, and the service was great. I’ll definitely come back again next time to try other dishes too!

Google
I had the #1 Rare Beef Pho and my mom had the chicken bowl, I believe it was the #4. You can smell the goodness just by walking in the restaurant. I ordered to Regular size and it was huge. I wasn't able to finish it. Service was great, kind, friendly and chill vibes. Would definitely return!

Google
Stopped on my way from Sonora to Whitney. They serve large portions of pho and don’t skimp on the beef! My qualms were the broth was too salty and the bean sprouts were slightly past their prime. Service was very quick and our server was very friendly. The Thai tea started out bitter but after a few minutes it the flavors melded became much better which I found funny.

Google
Family owned and run Asian noodle shop. Pho is soooo good . That's mom Taylor sitting in the corner. Say hi, and ask how her daughter got her name. The story is as warming to the soul as the Pho is to your belly on a ski day.

Google
A good place for Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) at Mammoth. Nice location, very popular and busy. We were seated at the "kids area" (back room with colorful tables and chairs) which could bother others. But since we like kids and can tolerate some noise we were fine. The server was very friendly and gave us tips of where to visit in the area. He also gave a funny performance to remind the young kids at the next table to avoid touching the hot bowl. Definitely top-notch service! The pho we ordered were mostly done right except maybe a bit on the too-salty side. The noodles might be a bit too much for the proportion of the soup. We are big fans of pho and are well experienced, but of course are more picky as we seek perfection.

Dana G.

Google
The noodle soup here is absolutely amazing! Warm, comforting, and packed with flavor. Perfectly cooked noodles, rich broth, and fresh ingredients. A must-try if you’re in the area!

Google
Surprisingly good noodle shop in the town of Mammoth. Pho, Khao Soi, and more. Generous portions (especially the large size) and nicely flavored broth without too much salt. Recommended.

Google
I’ve got a large noodle soup and could barely finish it. It was delicious and exactly what I needed to cure my hangover:) Thank you chef. Staff were also very nice. Highly recommend it!

Yelp
Was craving some pho on our roadtrip and stopped through mammoth. Super happy to find this pho spot and a place that goes it well! It wasn't very busy when we came for lunch and got seated right away. Plenty of tables and parking which makes it easy. Server did a good job of answering our questions mainly about how spicy the spicy noodles are (not that bad he said) and he was right. I ordered the pho (no spicy) and my boyfriend got the spicy noodles (forgot exactly which one). We both really enjoyed it. Would recommend this place !

Yelp
Unfortunately, I'm incredibly picky with my pho. And of course I did not set my expectations high at all as I have yet to have really good food in Mammoth. I did give two stars because I was ultimately disappointed. However, there are a few positives I will definitely give this restaurant. We ordered takeout and they fill the broth when you get there so the noodles don't get too soggy! Not like other pho spots where they usually separate the noodles and soup but this I didn't mind as we didn't have a big kitchen in our cabin to cook the noodles. We ordered the #2. The noodles were great but the soup was very salty I really couldn't drink any of it. The sriracha packets were also watery but I don't know if the altitude affects that? Definitely wish it were less salty.

Yelp
This pho spot is so very, very busy. It's like they don't get any breaks! There's a waitlist, and the line never ends. Once you get seated, there's more people coming to wait in line fora table. However, the workers are still very attentive and provided good service. We ordered the #2 Pho with Braised Beef and #4 Noodle-Ly Chicken Noodle. Very good and tasty pho, although the soup did have too much salt.

Yelp
We were stopping in mammoth lakes for the night on our way to tahoe and were in need of a good meal after a long drive. This was close to our hotel and looked yummy, while still being casual enough for a lively 18 month old who had been in a car all day. We got the pho with rare beef and Vietnamese kao soi. I also got a lychee milk tea with rose jelly. The phone tasted good initially, but finished super salty, the meat was very tender. The kao soi tasted more like an italian fusion dish that anything Asian. It did taste good but not what I was expecting based on the kao soi I've had. Something in it made my stomach a little touchy too. Maybe all the oil in it or just that it contains a good deal of garlic. The drink wasnt to sweet at all, but instead of rose jelly they gave me popping Boba. The workers were very nice, and the portions are large. I do wish when smoke from fire come son that they didnt leave the screens open. It was really hard to breathe for me, and I had to end my meal faster than I normally would have.

Yelp
Craving pho???? Live in bishop or mammoth.... Look no further! Noodle-Ly is the place to go! It'll satisfy all of your pho cravings and more! Very good portion even for the regular size! The meat is tender and the soup is well flavored! Make sure you add some lime to cut the saltiness! The service is fast and the restaurant has a nice cozy atmosphere to it! I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
I genuinely cannot believe the experience we just had. Let me start by saying every other employee here was incredible -- kind, welcoming, and honestly the only reason I'm not giving zero stars. But one single server, Delio, managed to ruin the entire visit with the most rude, condescending attitude I've ever seen in a restaurant. We came in with our trained service dog, the hostess was amazing, everything was smooth -- until Delio walked up. The moment he approached, his whole energy was off. Our dog gave ONE startled bark because something about Delio's approach clearly triggered him. And we completely understood: if the dog barked again, we'd have to step outside. That's fair. That's normal. We didn't argue with that at all. What was NOT okay was how Delio chose to speak to us. Instead of calmly addressing it, he acted like we were trying to scam the place. He literally questioned whether our clearly identified service dog was "actually a service dog" and then said, "Service dogs bark?!" in this sarcastic, accusatory tone that was absolutely unnecessary. We even showed him the service dog documentation just to shut down his attitude, and he STILL kept that same disrespectful energy. The warning wasn't the issue -- Delio's tone and the way he delivered it was the problem. He talked to us like we were inconveniencing him by existing. And then the cherry on top: Delio walked away shaking his head and muttering under his breath, acting like we personally ruined his entire shift. It was dramatic, childish, and completely out of line, especially when every other employee was nothing but sweet and professional. Delio's behavior is an embarrassment to this restaurant. The rest of the staff is amazing, but his attitude drags down the entire experience and reflects horribly on a place that otherwise deserves better. Food was amazing though!

Yelp
Honestly I'm very particular about my pho. I wasn't the biggest fan of my meal because the broth tasted more meaty than spiced. I was looking for the spiced aromatic taste of pho and got more of a ramen flavored broth. #5 The Noods on the other hand was DELICIOUS! My partner ordered this and I honestly wish I got that instead. Highly recommend that dish and will return just to order that for myself next time! Heads up: sometimes they get so busy that they stop allowing takeout orders. The nice lady on the phone said to call back later and maybe they'd reopen the takeout orders and they did! I'm glad we got to try this place since it was recommended to us.

Yelp
Looking for some hot noodle soup after a cold day in the slopes? Noodle-ly is just the spot! I tried the pho and my bf tried the dry noodles. Both were good, hearty portions. Typical of Mammoth prices, $18 for a regular, $20 for a large. Service is fast and liked the simplicity of their menu.
google avatar

Yelp
They are closed 2-3 for lunch. Great mountain spot for warm authentic food. Service was great. We sat outside and enjoyed a sunset dinner.

Daniel J.

Yelp
Sad to have to write this review because all the other servers were above and beyond and super friendly. We walked in with our service dog which the lady kindly accomodated. After sitting down this big unfriendly server walks over which somehow triggered our dog to bark a bit. Instead of kindly saying that our dog might be a disturbance to other customers, he says" thats a service dog?! Service dogs barks?!" we replied by showing him our service dog identification which after he replied rudely " if he barks again we are gonna ask u guys to leave" which we agree would be the appropriate thing to do considering other patrons. After, he walks away muttering loud to himself shaking his head saying "its unbelievable that a service dog barks" like what? Overall food was great as was all the other servers. However this Server named Deelilo does not fit in this restaurant's vibe and hopefully he can get retrained to do his job properly.

Yelp
Looking for something warm after skiing and found this place. Good broth. Large portion. Noodles cooked just right. I preferred the pork broth than the veggie broth. Gotta ask for side condiments such as spouts basil and jalapeño. Good service. Friendly staff.

Yelp
What we got: - Pho with rare beef (7/10): for pho in mammoth this actually beat my expectations! My only complaint is that the broth is pretty salty. - Khao soi (7.5/10): they use rice noodles by default here and egg noodles are extra $3.50 which I feel is kind of crazy so I stuck with the rice noodles. - Black milk tea with boba: (4/10) I really didn't like the milk tea here it had a weird taste Plenty of parking and service is quick! I would come back again if craving some Asian food in mammoth!

Yelp
After a long day of driving and it being chilly outside we were craving soup. Their food menu is small and only has a couple options. They do have a large drink selection. The size of the bowls are huge I will say and they're very generous with their noodles and meat. Unfortunately the broth did not taste at all like pho. It was extremely salty my friend couldn't finish hers. I added water to try and water mine down but it was just too salty.
google avatar

Karolina K.

Yelp
Very good Pho, especially in a cold day. That is exactly what we were craving when arriving at Mammoth Lakes. Staff was super friendly and the place was super busy. That is definetly a good sign. I've had the regular vegan Pho and it was very good. My husband had the Khai Soi and he said it was super flavorful. I loved that they had plenty of spices and condiments available for you to customize the soup. Regular size was enough for us and we were very hungry. Price is ok considering the location.
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Honestly I had low expectations for pho in the mountains, but this place proved me wrong! Their pho was authentic and flavorful, just very slightly on the salty side. Brisket was nice and tender, also a nice portion for the regular size bowl. We came at off hour around 4PM and got seated immediately, and the order came out so quick! Pretty casual place, nice to come have a warm bowl of pho after a cold mountain hike or skiing. It is on the pricey side for pho at $18-$20 a bowl, but for being in Mammoth it makes sense. Would definitely come back when craving a nice warm bowl of noodles
google avatar

Genette D.

Yelp
Cold night what a perfect way to have pho! Cozy cute little place, they were busy pact when we went but that's how you know when a place is good is when there are people non stop, we got seated quick we did wait just 5 min but got seated quick. We both had regular size beef pho and it was really really good I couldn't even finish mine and it was just the regular size not even the large bowl. Really great place to eat, service was great and they were quick.
google avatar

Roberto B.

Yelp
After a long day on the mountain having some pho just feels right. Now if you are coming on a weekend there is a high possibility you will need to wait an hour or so to get seated and if you are coming closer to closing time there might not have the availability of the full menu. The service is friendly and once you place your order it comes out in less than 10 mins. The chicken noodles soup was hearty with plenty of chicken but the broth was light and flavorful adding some Thai basil and jalapeños adds some nice freshness to the pho.
google avatar

Ethel C.

Yelp
Super surprised by the big bowl of delicious pho and slices of meat, I really liked the OG traditional rare beef. Good amount of flavor depth in the broth, noodles were perfect. It was just perfect after a long hungry day's worth of physical activity. Service was friendly and fast! It does look like it can get busy during the popular weekends so try to arrive early or later. Love the location next to Von's and Art center! You can get your groceries and look at cool art afterwards .
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
Friendly, cheerful ambience = 1 star BBQ pork was ok = 1 star. Food was crap, service terrible, prices are sky high = 0 stars. We had the #3 (w/egg noodles) and # 5 (w/bokchoi). Broth was bland, noodles cheap and overcooked. GF wouldn't even eat hers. Mine came without the bokchoi -- and it never came despite waiter's promises. Look, it is a mountain town so expectations are lower. But you could make this yourself in 20 minutes and it would be better and 80 percent cheaper.

Yelp
Noodle-Ly is a staple in Mammoth Lakes and a spot we visit every time we're in town. Their noodle dishes and soups are outstanding, made with rich, flavorful broth that they take two full days to prepare (they're closed Tuesdays & Wednesdays just for this!). The menu has a great variety of unique noodle dishes, including a vegan option, so there's something for everyone. The staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Heads up - It's first come, first serve, and since it's a popular spot, expect a wait on weekends or crowded evenings. But trust me--it's worth it! If you're looking for comforting, flavorful, high-quality noodles in Mammoth, this is the place. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Marissa P.

Yelp
We were visiting and wanted a quick lunch. We stopped by Noodle-Ly and had great service, they mentioned they were short staffed but were so kind and helpful. Food didn't take too long and was amazing! Loved the Noods (size large) and I got them with Egg noodles and a small side of chicken broth. The chicken broth was incredible! All in all a great lunch
google avatar

Candy U.

Yelp
Everyone is very helpful and kind.Very welcoming workers. Food is a bit on the salty side, but I do love the flavor of the soup. The cilantro ,onions ,jalapeno all gave it a great aroma and flavor. Their house roasted dry peppers are also good with the soup.It is just what I want in this snowy weather.
google avatar

Abigael W.

Yelp
Definitely a must! Every mammoth trip I've taken has this on the list of places to eat. The soup have deep delicious flavors which is enhanced if you are eating it after a long tiring day. The regular is actually a lot of food so the large is quite big. The picture below is of the regular after mixing around the noodles and meat. The meat is also very tender and takes in the flavor of the meat beautifully.
google avatar

Suzy K.

Yelp
We had a good time here the soups were delicious, maybe a bit salty but not enough to ruin it, they do close from 2-3 for whatever reason, but still they're nice and the food is good, wish they would add udon to their menu, will return on our next trip
google avatar

Kia A.

Yelp
Another one for the books. Their noodle soup is by far one of the best! They are rich in flavor, not too overwhelming, meat is the right amount and a regular size can be shared by two people who hardly finishes a regular or large size bowl. We had Khao Soi and Chicken Noodle soup. Staff are nice and friendly, service is fast, and the place is clean and organized. 5/5 on this one!
google avatar

Green H.

Yelp
Great food and peeps working there. Had the rare beef Pho and it was perfection. Fresh ingredients and delicious broth, noodles and tender beef. Nice change to all the other restaurants in area.
google avatar

Kathy C.

Yelp
I only gave this place a 1 since I couldn't give it a 0! We had a party of 8 and called them to see if they could put the tables together, and they said they could. When our whole party came, they told us they couldn't put the tables together. When we asked them why and told them we called, they didn't give an answer and just kept saying no. The waiter was kind enough to try, but the manager is the one who was very rude about it and kept just saying no. There were 4 empty tables, so we could've easily combined the tables. Couldn't even try their food , so can't even say if the food was good. Will not be coming back
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
This would be probably 4 stars in a regular town but tried the #2 tonight and it was actually pretty good. They also have bowls, chopsticks, and spoons at the tables plus chili paste, hoisin, and sriracha. Did not expect that in Mammoth. A little pricey but have to remember where we are at
google avatar

Sparticus S.

Yelp
The veggie pho with veggie broth was absolutely delicious. If you like bok choy and celery, you will love this pho! My family ordered the rare steak and that was good too. Good eats at this place and the noodles are gluten friendly.
google avatar

Shailey S.

Yelp
The food is good! Very limited options on the menu, but it makes it easier to pick what you like and want. Most of the options have a noodle base (different types of noodles are available) and then your choice of protein. The kid's bowl options are limited as well and you can "add-on" whatever additional ingredients you want. (Pictured) is a kids rice noodle pho with tofu, which is exactly what my daughter wanted :) Now, the reason I am giving this rating is purely due to the service. One lady was so nice, while the other was not helpful at all- to a point where she got defensive when I asked for clarification. Not sure if she is the owner or was just ready to get off work, but it made sitting in the restaurant so uncomfortable. Regardless, good food- so I would consider going back if I'm in town again!

S K.

Yelp
Great pho! Though veg options are few, they carry a lot of meat options. We ordered 3 regular and 1 kid bowl - Veggie with spinach noodles, braised beef, noodle chicken & chicken kid bowl. All tasted great. The sugar boba and infused sparkling water was also great! Wonderful service by our host Makenna who was very friendly and attentive to all our special needs as we had one person who is allergic to shellfish. Danilo was also very great with his service! Good ambiance as well. All in all, would definitely recommend! Thanks! :)
google avatar

Megan C.

Yelp
This place is definitely just an average noodle shop, but if you're looking for some soup and noodles then it's not a bad place to go! It took about 30 mins to get seated, and the food took another 30-45 mins to come out, so be prepared to wait. My broth was quite salty and not very flavorful, but I think the BBQ Pork was pretty good. All of my friends felt their broth was also salty. However, the service was really nice and you could tell they cared. Ambiance is casual, their shop is on the smaller side.

LA F.

Yelp
Just a PSA: The noodle-ly chicken is not Pho. (Per the waitress).... And it sure wasn't. It doesn't come with the veggie plate (basil, lime sprouts) - had to order it separately. It tastes like salty water with a splash of chicken broth in a box. My bad, I was confused. The description sounded like chicken pho. Maybe the random philosophical saying should have been a warning that here would be some confusion.

mei l.

Yelp
Simple menu, not too many appetizers nor pho choices. My hubby had Khao Soi and it's pho in Lao style with minced pork in rich tomato soup and it's the bomb. I have the chicken noodle soup where they have both white and dark meat which is a nice combination. The clear soup base has rich flavor. The service is also excellent! The one Star deduction is for their lack of appetizers - only one choice
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
We first discovered this place last year and returned last week--it was just as good! Hearty, plentiful, and delicious bowls of pho. Bustling environment with decent service. Reasonably priced. Appreciated that you leave your phone number and get a text when table is ready. We will most definitely be back!
google avatar

Anthony J.

Yelp
We were pleasantly surprised with the food quality here. Our expectations for Asian food in mammoth were low but Noodle-Le far exceed that. We ordered a large pho and large khao soi. The portions were big and the food was flavorful. The Khao Soi wasn't as curry filled or sweet as what I'm used to but still good. The restaurant was packed but they still made a space for us to eat which was much appreciated.
google avatar

Kathleen R.

Yelp
Bbq pork bowl with the egg noodles are my hubby's favorite and I enjoy the traditional pho . My only wish is that they add traditional Vietnamese egg rolls!Inside is small so get there early for a seat, but takeout is great as well. Prefer on the cold days, summer days, all days!!
google avatar

Kat A.

Yelp
Best pho in Mammoth! The braised beef pho hit the spot and was so flavorful/savory. The noodles were fully separated and not clumpy - and all the ingredients tasted really fresh. Every one else enjoyed their order as well. The butterfly tea had a very faint light flavor - it was good and the blue color was pretty. The restaurant has a lot of seating but can be very busy! We were a party of 11 and it took about an hour for us to get seated. Just a heads up! The place has a very casual ambience and is a good setting for friends to relax after a day of being on the mountain. Service was amazing and the host and waitress were both so friendly, patient, and helpful. Especially with how busy it was - I was impressed with their timing on waters and food. Definitely coming back here for a warm meal after hitting the slopes!!

Yelp
We visited on a recent ski trip to Mammoth. The place is in the marketplace by the Vons grocery store. They were almost full at 1:30 PM. I had the Khao Soi which I enjoyed. My wife got The Noods and my daughter got the Pho, but she liked my wife's dish more and ended up sharing that. We took the pho home to eat for dinner. It's a decent place to get noodles in Mammoth, and I think there's a good chance we will visit again next time we're in town.

Lou T.

Yelp
Friendly. Noodle bowls are delicious. There is also a good collection of condiments to go with the bowls.
google avatar

Matt P.

Yelp
For a Pho place far away from the city, this is not a bad place. The broth definitely tasted like something you get from the SGV. The noodles even had that nice chewiness to it. I think it's safe to say that the restaurant is owned by Vietnamese people. I saw them bringing in ingredients while dining here. This is not a very big place and larger parties can be an issue. They don't offer much of anything else. Definitely a great place to warm you up after some runs, or not. I will be coming back here when I'm in the area. Too bad they are only open for lunch and then close until dinner hours. So make sure to check their hours of operation if you are planning on coming here after lunch. They are located int he same shopping plaza as Vons, so parking wasn't an issue. I just don't recommend parking under the icicles that are hanging from the 2nd story though.

EeLoon T.

Yelp
A decent noodle place. Ordered a few different types and they all tasted good. The place was pretty packed, I think that this area could use a few more asian restaurants or something. The boba was great though, the mango one really had some good mango taste. Service was ok, it does get busy and then it's hard to get the server's attention.
google avatar

Ruth W.

Yelp
I love Noodle-Ly, they are a welcome addition in Mammoth. The rich deeply flavored broth for all of their soups reflects careful attention to the food they serve. The Khao Soi is my favorite right now - intensely flavorful, rich and just so, so good. The staff are welcoming - the servings are plentiful. Just get there before they run out!!
google avatar

Shen M.

Yelp
What a surprise. They got bomb azz pho in Mammoth. Traditional Pho broth. Authentic. Taste that bone broth boiling for days. Soup broth is the most impressive. Tender cuts of high quality meats in the pho. Must try this! The #3 Khao Soi was amazing. Straight from Thailand. Shout out to you chef! He is the papa. Taylor, she is the lovely mama. If you need a bowl of hot soup, must try this mom and pop restaurant. Friendly service and great food. What else you want? Easy parking and clean bathroom. Yes. This place is awesome. We will definitely come back every time. Thank you, Steve and Julie Don't forget to leave a big tip. Support local businesses. Spread the love. What is better than a bowl of hot soup after a beautiful Mountain Day?

Sonary K.

Yelp
By far best Pho in Mammoth! Our favorite was Khao Soi and beef pho. Very flavorful broth and good customer service. We went there whenever we're in Mammoth snowboarding. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Yelp
The pho is excellent! Some of the best broth I've ever had. I try to get some Togo every time I'm in mammoth. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Excellent noodles and staff. It was also very filling. It was great to enjoy delicious Asian food in Mammoth!

Yelp
We went in for an early dinner on a Monday. We had prompt, friendly service and the noodles were delicious. I had the #3 which was marked as spicy but I think it would be ok for those who usually get mild to medium. There was extra chili paste and chili flakes on the table along with other condiments in case you want to add more spice. The dinning room is small...probably around 8 to 10 tables. The biggest tables were 6 tops and they were polite about asking 2 tops not to sit at the larger tables in case a larger party came in. I really wish this place was closer to home, we'd eat here at least once a week!

Chris T.

Yelp
Went in to grab a quick little beverage before they closed and their thai basil lemonade was absolutely delicious. No notes. I'd give it more stars if i could- very refreshing.
